Tallan Heights is the perfect guy. He’s funny, a good student, sporty, good-looking, he has a good group of friends, and he’s friendly. The only problem is, is that there’s one boy in school that is determined to take that all away from him.

Kesler Mitchell is the bad-guy. This Slytherin bad boy is the cause of all Tallan’s troubles. Kesler is also sporty and smart, but he’s devious, cunning, and completely jealous of Tallan, although he won’t admit it.

So, what other way to stop the jealousy, then to steal everything Tallan’s got? Throughout the summer, Kesler’s thought of a ploy to get Tallan’s girl, friends, and hopefully the whole of Hogwarts, against this lone, seventh year Gryffie.

Tallan, however, has to fight back to keep things he holds dear to him. As his girlfriend slowly slips away and his friends get more distant, will he even want to fight back?

Will Kesler succeed? Or will his plot to ruin Tallan’s life back-fire?

"Oh I trust you Tallan, anything you come up with I'm sure will be perfect." She said with a sweet smile, it was funny how in the day she had gone from teasing him to being all mushy.

"Hmm... I love all flowers, red roses are beautiful though." She said grinning, and they were romantic in her opinion. "Why?" She asked doubting that he would tell her anything even if he had a plan. Nicole grinned as he twirled a piece of her blonde hair, it sent a warm feeling through her.

Bwahaha. She trusted him. That was nice to hear, even if he somehow already knew it. 'Inside his heart' and all that mushy girl-type stuff.

Darn. She asked. Why. Well, of course Tallan expected her too, but he didn't know if he could keep it from her. Just don't look at her face.he ordered himself. He continued to twist the strand of her hair as he answered, trying to seem casual. "Oh, just wondering. It's nice to find out random things from your girlfriend once in a while." he replied. Red roses. he repeated to himself. Note to self - ask Nessy where he could actually buy the red roses. And soon, too, preferably.

Nicole rolled her eyes, she was sure there was something more to this but she was fine waiting for a surprise what ever it was. "If you say so." She said smiling at him. Suddenly a thought out of no where came to Nicole's mind, she remembered the day she had first met Tallan. She chuckled slightly at the memory.

Tallan smirked down at her when she smiled at him. "I say so." he assured her, chuckling. Soo...roses. Now, what candy? Or should there be candy? Yes? No? Maybe? ... Hmmm, this could turn out to be more difficult than he'd thought.

He opened his mouth to ask, but then shut it. He needed to think of a more cleverer way to find out these things. "Remember the day we met?" He questioned. He did. It was third year...well, that was when they had officially met.

"You were eating licorice wands, right? In front of the fire place. Derec and I were playing wizard's chess...and my pawn jumped over and landed on your foot." he smiled as he remembered, but he couldn't remember if this was actually the first time. Well, if it wasn't he was sure Nicole would say something.

"Of course I remember, one of the best days of my life." She said grinning, "well actually... I had seen you before that because Nessy pointed you out one time." She said with a smile, "but that was the first time we officially met." She said grinning remembering how she had instantly started liking Tallan. There was no way she couldn't though, even as immature as he was at thirteen.

"Mine too." Tallan said. The others would probably when he was chosen for Quidditch captain, and when she agreed to be his girlfriend. "Nessy pointed me out once?" he asked, his eyebrows raising. He didn't really care, but he liked to tease Nicole. And, Nessy had probably pointed him out because he had been behaving badly. Oh well.

"Yeah, I remember that day." He nodded slowly. So, Licourice wands it was. "And I practically jumped on your foot, yelling at the stupid chess peice to get his behind back on the board." He shook his head. "But I did notice how wonderful your eyes were. That must count for something, right? Even though I was a stupid thirteen year old idiot."

"Well actually, I was curious as to who you were and I asked Nessy." She said grinning at this. Nicole laughed, "that was pretty funny." She said with a grin, "and for a stupid thirteen year old I liked you." She said smiling, even then he had been really good looking. "That does count, you even made me blush once. That didn't usually happen."

Hmm. That didn't exactly spell a teasing right, but it did make Tallan feel good about himself. He nodded and tightened the arm he had around Nicole's shoulder for a second. "I rememeber that, too. I was so proud of myself. I loved making girls blush." he grinned, remembering when he used to wink at random girls.

But now, the only one he really cared about was Nicole. And he didn't wink at random girls, either. That had stopped...about the time he'd really met Nicole. "I don't think I was too stupid," he said, shrugging his free shoulder. "I mean, I did choose the perfect girl. Or maybe I just got lucky, and that perfect girl chose me."

Nicole couldn't help but giggle, "I think that Perfect girl is just a really lucky girl." She said with a smile, "and the Prefect girl and stupid boy are the most luckiest people in the world to have found each other." She said not caring how mushy she sounded.

Mushy love story. That was this was. But strangely, Tallan didn't mind in the slightest. He didn't even mind that he was the stupid boy in the equation. That really did seem to fit him just fine. "I think you're right," he replied. Amazing revelation. It was nothing new, but Tallan was especially thankful for that in this moment.

"And your not stupid, just a bit immature occasionally. Mostly your only flaw is thinking a bit highly of yourself." She teased him a grin on her face, she had been going out with Tallan a long time but this moment still felt amazing. Just being his girlfriend still felt amazing.

Tallan laughed. Well, no one's perfect, right? He had to be flawed, somehow, or no one would like him. Flaws were what made perfect people - oh, wait, that's what she meant. Hehe. He opened his mouth to retort, but closed it quickly, shaking his head as his shoulders racked with silent laughter.

"Ah, I suppose you're right. I do have a problem with my ego." And, I'm only immature with Patrick and Derec. It's their fault. he added in his head, chuckling again.

"I'm used to it though, now it's kinda cute." She said with a chuckle, she was telling the truth. Nothing Tallan did bothered her, she was used to all of his flaws by now and either they were funny, cute or she saw past them.

Tallan grinned. "That's fine with me, then. As long as you don't mind, I can handle everyone else." He nodded to himself and sat forward slightly. He was still thinking about what he was going to do to thank Nicole for doing his homework. So far, it had to do with red roses and licorice wands. But...it was the place and time that was getting in his way.

Looking up at the sky, his grin widened. Twilight. At the Astronomy tower. Yes, that was perfect. Now, as soon as he could get the roses, he could do it.

"I don't mind in the slightest." She said now dying to know what he thought he would do for her surprise, she didn't say anything though as there was no point in asking. She did notice him looking up at the sky though and her curiosity was burning.

"Okay, then," Tallan replied, still looking at the sky. He was anxious, now, and he was going to send a letter to...wherever they sold flowers in the wizarding world...as soon as they went back inside.

Wanting to change the subject so he would have more time to think without looking suspicious, he asked, "So...I-" shutting his mouth quickly, he thought over what he was going to say. Asking a question about himself wouldn't be good. "I was wondering...how were classes?" Pathetic. But oh well, it was a question, wasn't it?

A smug grin was on Pat's face as he and Nessy headed up the stairs from the dungeons. He gave her his usual shrug, still grinning and said, Hey, I can't help it if Jaslene's wand in her pocket sparked on its own next to my pocket with filibuster's fireworks that happened to fall into her cauldron.... His grin became sheepish as they broke out into the entrance hall.

"They were okay, a bit tiring but the same as always." She said with a shrug, "you were there though." She reminded Tallan. "At least I don't have too much homework. It means doing yours will be easy, and I've got more time to spend with you." She said quite thankful for this. "I wonder what everyone else are doing?" She said with a smile.

She asked, horrified, though strangely admiring as well. Maybe she needed a higher ocd meds dosage when around him. Blinking her large blue eyes again she said distractedly, "Oh," and glanced down at her work. "Right..." Looking up at him again she smiled sheepishly, a light blush crossing her cheeks then grinned. "Of course you can! Though.. you have to fix your tie. Please?"

She said my name. he thought, sighing inside. A dazed sort of smile appeared on his face, but then he snapped out of it and went to looking at her. He blinked a few times at her question. Not exactically the thing he had immagined her saying, but hey, she was talking to him atleast. "I had classes, and well, the tucking in part was uncomfortable, and the tie, it felt like it was trying to kill me, so I thought, 'Why be uncomfortable, when you can be comfortable?"he said, shrugging. He had discided to tell the truth on that one. He had to hold back laughter when she blushed. She looked really funny when she did that. He sighed dramatically. "Alright. But if I die because of it, I'm blaming you."he said, starting to tie it back up. After a few seconds, he was done, and was glaring down at it. Looking back up he smiled and raised his hands up and said, "Tada!" smirking.

Stef looked at Twig and Jenna. "I'm actually suprised at how much school work there is this year. It's much more difficult then I thought it would be. I bet our supreme overlord Derac is even having a bit of trouble coping with it." He rubbed his shoulders on the chair, getting into a more comfertable postition.

Tallan tried very hard to keep the smirk off his face. He loved it when Nicole made it clear that she liked him. "My homework shouldn't be hard to do," he said with a laugh. "That is, if you do it like I do. The bare minimum, that is." he grinned and stretched his legs out infront of him.

When she mentioned the others, Tallan looked toward the Gryffindor tower thoughtfully. "I bet Derec's either flirting with some girl, or procrastinating his homework. Or maybe both." his smirk was now on his face for a different reason. Tallan was so much like his best friend - it was almost scary sometimes.

Jenna nodded, staring at the fire. "That isn't my idea of exciting, no." she told Twiggy. "This is more exciting then homework." And that's saying something.

With a sigh, she looked over at Stefan, an embarrassing giggle falling through her lips when he spoke of Derec. "Ha!" she scoffed, "That idiot. I bet he's off making a fool of himself infront of a girl. Did you see him and Heights at breakfast this morning?" she shook her head. No one in their right minds - by that of course she meant no one in Slytherin house - would act like that. Throwing food and such. It was utterly insulting. Poor Gryffies.

Tallan grinned, not saying anything. Nicole really did get good grades, and if she did his homework, he'd never be able to get it as good as she did, unless she helped...

"Eh. I guess so." he said, turning his head to grin at Nicole. "Flirting and procrastinating homework. But I have a good reason." he winked and nodded at her, laughing when she mentioned Pat. "Yeh, I bet that's what he's doing too." He agreed, thinking of Nessy. And Derec was probably drooling over Tatum.
