A few years back, there was a very sucessful PR called Hogwarts is Still High School. It spawned an entirely new site, which is still running, but was for more mature content that was unwelcome here. But I felt the need to resurrect this beloved RP, but bring a new spin on it... And if you were part of the origional, please, please rejoin. We all need a reunion, because it has been too long.

Hogwarts Is Still Highschool...

Relationships, love, and lies. Homework, classes, and professors. It's all part of a regular highschool, is it not? But look around, isn't it all the same here at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry? I do believe it is.

We all grow, and learn many things from school. Be it how to lie to get out of a late assignment, or how to attract the pretty girl in your potions class. And thats where our story begins...

This RP takes place long after the famous trio has left the school. Years infact. Their children are still here, 6th years infact. But new faces have appeared. The Tuck twins out of Wales have been known to be the musical masterminds, and resident heartbreakers. And Jay Kelley, Quidditch fanatic spends his days on the pitch, getting ready for his next match.

You're a regular student, and a not so regular school. And you go about your not totally regular day, doing completely irregular things. Get up, go to breakfast, go to class, chase the guy or girl of your dreams... and be a teenager. After all, this is still highschool.

Any personaly created character is welcome, just attatch a profile for them. And for the cannons, a picture will do, just to see how you feel the character should look. For the non-cannon, a brief profile of their name, age, house, looks, likes, dislikes, and a picture will be enough. But feel free to go indepth.

Alyss quietly wandered the corridors of the dungeon, she really did need some fresh air and she had decided on taking the long way around. The stroll would probably do her some good anyway, but she did need the rest. She had Prefect things to do before lessons and she did have to see Professor Jacabsen and check on her dragon. Seriously, she had a dragon to care for. Shaking her head, she took a breath and headed for the stairs. Maybe just a quick trip to the courtyard would be okay.

She was just about to turn the corner, when she heard the voices. She knew those voices. How could she not, she did grow up with them. Stepping back, she hid in the shadows. Should she just go back to the common room and just let them talk. It wasn't like Meg wouldn't tell her all about it later. She should just mind her own business, but why did she feel she needed to hear what was going to be said. To stay and listen would be very Slytherin of her, but she did feel the ping of guilty considering she was eavesdropping on her best friend.

Maybe the fresh air wasn't what she needed after all. Peeking around the corner and seeing the coast was clear, she turned back toward the direction she had come and wandered the dungeons some more. Only ten more minutes and then maybe she could sleep.

"I know neither of us has really talked about it because we just always assumed... but do you really think we'd work out after school ... I mean really thinking about it Once we're out of would you really be happy living out our parents expectations with me?" he asked seriously.

Abigail rolled her eyes playfully at Albus, who was getting a weird thoughtful look on his face. "Just to her ego...which I think would do her some good..." She paused. He had obviously spaced out because he hadn't even acknowledged that she'd said anything. She shrugged her shoulders and stood.

Smiling at Victoire, she sighed. "It was best I didn't go, anyway." She gave Rose small smile, even though she was still crashed on the chair. Her friend had had a great time with a guy Abby didn't want to throw off a tail building without his wand. All was right in the world.

Speaking of wands...She withdrew hers and pointed at Rose, levitating her easily. "Im taking her to bed. Sleeping on a chair isn't such a good idea...since she'll be in enough pain tomorrow morning." Laughing softly, she gently guided her friend towards the stairs, calling "Goodnight, Victoire and daydream!boy." over her shoulder.

"Wait, I'm coming," Victoire stood up, smoothing out the creases of her white dress and picking up her heels. "Goodnight, Al," She began to walk towards the staircase, waving goodbye to her cousin, who was apparently in a reverie.

Parker summoned a shirt with his wand. He was wondering the grounds. He didn't really have anything to fear. He went to the lake, waiting for the sun to rise. He skipped rocks along its surface. He just wanted to forget everything.

After the minimal amout of sleep the night before, Matt awoke, feeling groggy and cranky. But a quick shower and a hot meal perked him up enough to haul himself down to class. Kyle was still nowhere to be found, which was both worrying, and and irratating. It wasn't like his twin to stay out all night with no explanation as to why.

He found the Care of Magical Creatures classroom and slipped inside. There were a few other students there, most of which he knew to see, but not by name. But the first thing he noticed were several fair sized crates perched atop the front few desks. Each seemed to be rattling around, probably due to some kind of animal inside. Deciding it was better to stay away and not get voulenteered to help with the beasts, Matt took a seat near the back of the room, lounging back in his chair while he waited for class to start.

Kyle slowly made his way down from the owlery after sunrise. It had been a peacefull experience, just standing there alone, watching the sun come up. He showered quickly, and headed down for breakfast, figuring Matt would be there already. When he wasn't, Kyle grabbed a few slices of toast and made his way to class.

He spotted Matt instantly, near the back. He took the reserved seat and stared at the crates. "What's in those?" He asked curiously, arching an eyebrow. The few students in class already all seemed focoused on the crates, which seemed to be smoking. Never a good sign. He gave them a skeptical look and turned to Matt again, waiting for a reply.

"No idea... I just got here, and I havn't laid eyes on the new professor yet." He said lazily, playing with the pen in his hand. "I assume we're going to be divided into some kind of groups though. Unless theres a few of whatever is in the box in each one." He mused. Hmm, good way to meet a new girl... And take his mind off of Victorie, who probably never wanted to see him again. He frowned and pulled his sketch book from his bag, and began work on a new tattoo design.

Kyle arched an eyebrow again. "I hope we're in groups. The animals we're always given never seem to like me." He frowned, rubbing his arm where a unicorn had once nipped him, hard enough to need several stitches. He sighed and sunk down into his seat, awaiting the arivial of the professor.

Meg sighed. "This isn't about Parker, Jay." she said. Okay, so maybe it was a little about Parker. "But I think it is time that we found out if this." she said motioning between the two of them. She actually had no idea if there was a point were they had been just friends. Sure they had dated other people... but there was always that connection between them. "And who knows... maybe we'll find out that we've been right all along. That you and I were meant to be together."

ooc: i guess we'll just assume that Jay and Meg stayed up all night talking?

Rose woke up in the morning with an awful headache. She sat up in bed for a dew minutes just holding her head. She had a vague memory of the party and being with Kyle. Then her memory began flooding back. What on earth had she done last night? Her cheeks immediately turned red. She couldn't get out of bed today. She could not face everyone. And to make matters worse there was a letter next to her from Kyle. Should she open it? No, she couldn't. She never wanted to see him again. She never wanted to see anyone again... except... Hadn't Meg mentioned that she was good at memory charms? Maybe... just maybe she'd do Rose a favor...

Victoire woke bright and early, just as the sun had risen. But she hadn't gotten up from bed; she had simply laid there, contemplating the events of the night before. She wondered what would go through Rose's mind when she woke up with a hangover, what Al had been contemplating the night before as he had been so quiet, and if Matt had even considered their night together to be all that memorable. Brushing all negative thoughts aside, she rose and got ready for the day quickly.

Before leaving the girls' dorm, she took a quick, fond look back at her cousin, still sound asleep. Should she let her sleep throug the day, or wake her up? Rose pulled her curtains aside and was surprised to see "Victorie?" She blinked a few times holding her hand to her head. "Don't worry. I know what happened." she said slowly getting out of bed. She didn't want to see anyone today. Especially family. Maybe she could get dressed and slip away from everyone. She pointed to the letter on the bedside table. "Do me a favor. Burn that." she said.

This was quite an oddity. Rose, the purveyor of knowledge just like her mother, refused to read this seemingly-important letter.

It was easy to see that Alyss was not at all happy when she woke up. She had every intention of sleeping through breakfast, but she had to meet with Professor Jacobsen and head to Care of Magical Creatures to meet her dragon. She did hope it wasn't ugly or something. Plus she had to do some Prefect things, maybe that was what Jacobsen wanted so early. And Alyss was never one to completely slack on her duties. Pulling herself from the warmth of her bed, she started to get ready.

Slinging her bag over her shoulder and sliding her new vintage sunglasses on, she moved to slide on her newest flats. With a look in the mirror, she smirked to herself, putting up the wall that was known as Alysseandra Dewley. It was the start of a new day and so much was to be done. Sliding her wand into its hostler in her robes, she turned to leave the dorm and headed for the classrooms. It was best to just get it all over with. Perhaps the first day would prove to be productive one.

Jay had just sprawled out across his four poster bed not even bothering to change or to actually pull the covers back. The side of his face had just hit the pillow and his eyes closed for barely a second when he heard someone moving about around the room. he groaned. " Is it really that time already?" He grumbled just as the door closed. He pushed himself off the bed and went to get a shower. Before he headed to class. Jay walked into the care of magical Creatures class and slumped tiredly into his seat.

If you guys could let me know who each of your characters face models is, I'll find some pics, and get one of the graphics makers to do something up. "It's from Kyle." Rose replied in a matter-of-fact tone as if that explained why she didn't want to read it. She got dressed much slower than normal. She found that the light was making it much worse. She grabbed a pair of sunglasses and decided she might as well go about her day as if nothing happened. She sighed and left the dormitory without another word to her cousin.

Meg woke up in the morning after a rough night. She looked in the mirror and was horrified to find that her face had been streaked from all the crying. Grabbing her nearest pair of sunglasses she covered her eyes and attempted to cover the rest with make-up. After much longer than she'd normally spend getting ready she finally descended the stairs hoping not to run into Parker.

Abigail was having an early early morning. "Who gets up at 6am", one might ask. Someone who has an important meeting with the Headmistress, that's who. Since she was pitching an idea, she needed to look her best...even if she felt like the walking dead.

The blonde had been slower than usual, moving around and getting dressed for the day. Sitting at her vanity, layer, upon layer, of glamours had been placed on the baggies under her bright eyes. Not sleeping well the entire summer, and then her late night waiting up for the others to get back from the party, had taken it's toll on her. Maybe she'd whip up some Dreamless Sleep potion later...Tapping her chin, she withdrew her potions journal from her vanity drawer and jotted it down.

Her meeting with McGonagall had went well, and after an hour of talking and having to appear alert, Abigail trekked back towards Gryffindor tower. Just as she was nearing the portrait hole, Rose came almost stalking out. Her friend said nothing as she moved her shades into place and glided off. I wonder what that's about? She shrugged, feeling to tired to meddle at that particular time.

Entering the common room, Abby fell into her favorite chair and closed her eyes. Sleep wouldn't come. Why do I have to be such an insomniac?

Alyss strolled casually out of the History of Magic classroom and headed toward the Care of Creatures classroom. Her meeting with Jacobsen wasn't at all what she expected. Who knew the woman would be so nice. She actually amended her and Abby for their actions on the train and actually caring for their duties. It still confused Alyss, but she did have other things to be confused about as well.

Stopping to check her own reflection, she fixed her appearance and continued around the corner to Care of Magic Creatures. She did have to meet her dragon and she did seriously need to talk to Meg. She really didn't hear anything last night, but it didn't mean she wasn't dying to know what was said. 'I wonder if he even knew it was me and what would Meg think?' she thought as she walked into the room and sat down in her usual spot near the front. She noticed Jay and the Tucks, giving them a smile and a nod. She then noticed the crates and sighed. Did she really have to care for a silly dragon? It really didn't seem to fit in with her lifestyle. 'Can it at least be somewhat cute' she thought.

Parker went to the Great Hall for breakfast, he needed all the strength he needed for tryouts. Luckily, he didn't have a lot of positions to fill. Just two, one beater and a chaser. Most of the team had played with him most of his years. He knew none of the other teams were a match for him. He also needed to do some research a possible players to recruit, if he was still going to be allowed to play on Megan's team.

Victoire sighed and slumped down onto Rose's bed, examining the letter and fuming about her idiotic cousin. Smart as a whip when it came to books, but when it came to people... Victoire shook her head in dismay and with confusion. What was she to do with the letter? Well, she definitely wasn't going to burn it. After a snap decision, Victoire simply tucked it away into the pocket of her robes. She strolled out of the dorm and down the spiral staircase, her Gryffindor robes fluttering about her ankles as she walked. "Abby?" She asked, stopped at the portrait hole as she saw her sitting in a chair.

Rose entered the classroom and found most of her classmates already gathered. Fantastic... she thought to herself. Was it too late to skip? Surely someone already noticed her. Pulling her sunglasses closer to her face she took a deep breath and held her head high. She looked around and took a seat right near the front. That way she wouldn't have to deal with everyone talking about her.

Meg checked her watch. Breakfast would have to wait. She arrived at the classroom and wondered where to sit. She couldn't really sit next to Jay like she normally would. No, even being friends right now was too soon. She sighed and took a seat near the front of the classroom next to another girl wearing sunglasses. Great... now she wasn't even original in that sense. But at least nobody could see her red eyes.

Hearing her name, Abigail looked up groggily. "Yes, Victoire." She sat up fully and stretched, her back muscles groaning in protest. Yes, a dreamless sleep potion was so happening later.

Motioning for Victoire to go ahead and step out of the portrait hole, Abby stepped out behind her. "Please tell me you know something about Rose's behavior this morning?" She didn't waste any time in getting straight to the point. If anyone knew something about Rose, it'd be either Vicky or herself...and she didn't know. So..."Her hangover was obvious."

Leo waited for the students to file in. The Great Hall was completely transformed. The walls were padded and there was a long stage in the middle of the hall. He was frustrated that there weren't very many students there.

Parker debated whether or not to attend that dueling thing. He would rather focus on Quidditch, but he though he'd humor himself and go. He entered the Great Hall and leaned against the cushioned wall, waiting for more people to show.
