A few years back, there was a very sucessful PR called Hogwarts is Still High School. It spawned an entirely new site, which is still running, but was for more mature content that was unwelcome here. But I felt the need to resurrect this beloved RP, but bring a new spin on it... And if you were part of the origional, please, please rejoin. We all need a reunion, because it has been too long.

Hogwarts Is Still Highschool...

Relationships, love, and lies. Homework, classes, and professors. It's all part of a regular highschool, is it not? But look around, isn't it all the same here at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry? I do believe it is.

We all grow, and learn many things from school. Be it how to lie to get out of a late assignment, or how to attract the pretty girl in your potions class. And thats where our story begins...

This RP takes place long after the famous trio has left the school. Years infact. Their children are still here, 6th years infact. But new faces have appeared. The Tuck twins out of Wales have been known to be the musical masterminds, and resident heartbreakers. And Jay Kelley, Quidditch fanatic spends his days on the pitch, getting ready for his next match.

You're a regular student, and a not so regular school. And you go about your not totally regular day, doing completely irregular things. Get up, go to breakfast, go to class, chase the guy or girl of your dreams... and be a teenager. After all, this is still highschool.

Any personaly created character is welcome, just attatch a profile for them. And for the cannons, a picture will do, just to see how you feel the character should look. For the non-cannon, a brief profile of their name, age, house, looks, likes, dislikes, and a picture will be enough. But feel free to go indepth.

Alyss turned her eyes to Jay. Albus?!?! Did he just suggest she invite Potter? Was he serious? "Potter?" she said slowly as a smirk started to form. "You might be on to something there dear. No one would expect that and it would go along with all the serpents inviting lions." A full smirk now graced her face and she let her eyes focus on the Gryffindor table. Albus would have to do.

Scorpius... and whomever they decide to invite." she said listing off people. She didn't know who all the invited guests were. She didn't care to know. It was more fun that way. But she knew that at least Rose would be there. That is, if Scorpius followed their recommendation. Which he did. He would have been crazy not to. "But it'll be lots of fun. We'll have masks and everything there. Tons of food. Decorations. Music. Dancing. Anything that you could possibly want."

Oh, this was becoming much more difficult then it should be. Meg gave a shrug. "I'll be dressed up. But, you could come in whatever you want to. I'm just happy your coming. I'd hate to imagine who I'd be stuck with if I hadn't talked to you on the train. This is a start of beautiful friendship. I can fill it." she said with a smile. That was the first time she'd said anything like that. And it wasn't even a lie. Things were looking good for her. A problem she'd worried about all summer disappeared. And the first party of the year was bound to be a hit. Life was good. Real good.

Al was sitting at the Gryffindor table with his few friends chatting about the past summer, and the classes of the upcoming semester. He felt a eyes on him from across the room, which made him uncomfortable. He looked over his shoulder for a second, and spotted one of the popular Slytherine girls watching him. Glancing away, Al turned back to his friends, and cousin Rose. "Am I going crazy? Or, is she actually looking at me?" He asked nervously.

Jay looked over his shoulder in a rather unsubtle yeah we're talking about you sort of way. " Well go on... " he motioned his head towards Albus as he spoke. "Go ask him already? you might not get a chance once the hall starts clearing out."

Alyss set her goblet down and sent a smirk in Jay's direction. "You know a lady never needs to rush into things." she said as sweetly as she could mutter before raising from the table.

Sweeping her hair over her shoulder, she made her way across the Great Hall and stopped directly in front of Albus. Giving him a smile, she sat down. "Hello Albus, I do hope I wasn't interrupting and you don't mind if I sit down." she said as she smiled to all the shocked Lions around her. The faint sounds of surprised gasps were still heard, but she blocked them out and looked at the boy in front of her. "As you know, Meg and myself throw a welcoming party every year, and I would like to extent an invitation to you to join this year."

"Oh... Uh..." He stammered, looking across the table for support from Rose. From earlier conversation, he'd already gathered that she was attending with Malfoy, something her father would not approve of. And him attending with another Slitherine, he bit his lip, looking confused. "I-I guess so. I mean, I don't see why not." He gave a light shrug. Rose was right, it was hit-on-a-Lion day. His parents would not be happy about this. Al looked over at the girl again with a shy smile. What was her name, Aly? Yes. That was it. "What time?" He asked.

Matt's eyes watched as Aly strolled over to the Gryffindor table, and sat herself across from Albus Potter. A cruel smile came across his lips, as he laughed and finished off his drink. "Apparently, the lot of us, minus Meg, invited Gryffies to the party this year." He observed. "Aly just asked Potter, by the looks of it anyway."

Kyle shook his head with a smirk. The girls were obviously up to something, why else would they all be asking Gryffindors, and making this a Masquerade? He finished off his supper and got up. "I'd like to know what The raven and the snake are planning. And why we aren't having our normal drunken get-together like every year." He asked, walking with Matt down towards the dungeons.

Matt laughed again, runnning his hands through his hair. "You know those two. The more drama the better." He mused, as they entered the common room. "But I guarentee that this party will probably top them all. Dispite their lack of planning." He went down the staircase to the dorm room and began putting together a 'costume' to go with his mask. Dressing up wasn't his favorite thing, but he could clean up very nicely, when he had to.

Nodding, Kyle began doing the same, rummaging through his trunk for a tie. Of course he didn't take one. Go figure, he'd taken every band shirt he owned, but no ties. Whatever, open collar it was. He sighed and headed towards the bathroom for a quick shower.

Alyss smiled and slowly rose from the seat. "Shortly after curfew and it's a masquerade. Masks will be provide if needed." she explained. "I can guarantee it will be fun times. The party is after all the kick off to the year." she added as she flashed him a coy smile. "I have some prefect duties to attend to before, but I'll see you at the party. Keep your eye out for my owl near curfew." she said with a wink before walking back to the Slytherin table.

Everything was really coming together well. Guest invited and now on to other details. So little time and yet so much to still do.

Eria saw the young Slytherin make her way over to the Gryffindor table. What in Merlin's beard was she doing? she asked herself. She had a bad feeling about that. She wasn't one bit convinced it was all in the spirit of house unity, but she couldn't prove it. Maybe she was wrong, maybe Ms. Dewley was unlike the typical serpent and she was offering an olive branch to the lions. She would have to keep her eye on them for sure.

Alyss round the table and stopped short. Why was there a firstie in MY SEAT!? Oh that would not do at all. Slowly pulling her wand from its hostler on her arm, she held it under her sleeve as she walked toward her seat. She wasn't planning on scaring any firsties until classes started, but if this one didn't move soon, she would have to go start her terrorizing early. Stopping just behind him, she lifted her arm and lightly tapped his shoulder with her hidden wand. "I do believe you are in MY seat." she said as she narrowed her eyes at him.

Annabelle sighed as her brother went all ape at some firstie that was sitting where one of his girlfriends had been. Anna had never bothered to learn all their names. Frankly, she didn't give a hoot... they were all not nameworthy anyway. She chuckled as Scorpius spoke to her.
"Mhm, he's like that," she grumbled. "He's like that at home too... you get used to it."

Annabelle shrugged thin shoulders. "You just get used to it, really. Or attempt to ignore it. It is a form of hell though, having him as a big brother. And embarassing too," she admitted. Jay really was a shnoob sometimes.

"Wow," Victoire sipped some pumpkin juice; now it was Albus's turn to get teased. "Some lady luck, cousin? My, my, what would Aunt Ginny say about this atrocity. Tsk, tsk," She couldn't help but giggle. This was all such good fun to Victoire. "Do you have any proper dress robes, or am I going to have to help outfit you along with Rose, too?" She took another sip, her eyes glancing over towards the Slytherin table and landing on Matt. Tonight would definitely be one to remember.

Al shrugged. "I do have a set, I just don't like them." He said, poking at his food. He looked over his shoulder at Aly and smiled a little to himself. This was new, a girl actually asked him out. Hm, maybe his father was right after all. He turned back to his cousins. "Who are you going with anyway?" He sked Victorie.

Booooooooooooorrreeeeeeeeeed!! Annabelle was bored out of her wits. She'd eaten her fill, and she'd had WAAAAYYY too much pumpkin juice. She sighed, pushing the last bits of pudding around on her plate, her head rested in her hand, trying to decide whether or not she was actually going to go to that party. Though, it would be pretty cool, especially if she was actually on the guest list this time.

Selena picked at her dinner, a confused look on her face. For the first time since she arrived at Hogwarts, her eyes purposely slid over the Slytherin table, looking for Jay. She found him, and the confused look deepened. She was curious as to why he'd invited HER to this party. He knew she desperately disliked him and his little posse. Or maybe that was it. She smiled, then looked back down at herr plate, trying to work out what she was going to where.

OOC: Sure you can join! Theres no cannons left, so your character is going to have to be your own creation. Just PM me with the profile (Name, age, house, brief personal description, and a picture.) and jump on i whenever you feel comfortable.

Jay arched his brow as he watched Scorpius talking to his sister YET again seriously did the guy have a death wish. Jay could only play nice for so long before he got fed up and the idea of malfoy and his sister was just like tossing gas on an already burning building. "Well I'm going to go and get some last minute things settled before the party. Jay stood up and started for the doorway.
