After Ginny finishes her final year at Hogwarts, she's stunned to learn that Harry, who's been out of school a year, is engaged. Not wanting to return to the Burrow, which will be full of wedding planning and activity, Ginny escapes to Diagon Alley for a bit of independent living. The twins kindly take Ginny in and offer her a job, and she drags Neville and Luna along as flatmates. Who knows what will happen now that they are living independently?

This is a VERY loose storyline so far, but we want to have the chance to explore these characters as rising adults. I have all of the main characters filled at this point. If you are interested, go ahead and post your character idea. To be honest, I'd prefer HP characters (but not necesarily HRH) rather than made-ups... although a quality made-up is always welcome. If I don't feel your character will add to the story, I probably won't say yes. Also, we're quite serious about RPing, so if you aren't on at night EST, CST, or you will only post very sporadically, don't bother. This is advanced RPing, so YES, your posts need to be longer and more detailed and we DO care about your spelling and grammar.

The room was silent a bit too long, and Tara felt she had made more than a fool of herself. She smiled tightly and lifted her chin defiantly. "Are there any questions?" She wanted to make it was clear she was finished, and she relished the thought of someone asking her something that allowed her to redeem herself through the pile of charts that lay in front of her.

Fred went and took his seat beside Professor Dumbldore and gave Professor Sinistra his full attention. But, she soon lost it. Her ramblings and talk of the positions of the stars..yada yada to Fred. He let his mouth gape open, and he scrathed his head a few times. He was hoping that maybe George was getting all of this so he could ask him later..

"Yes, much better," Harry answered with a grin, turning his head to the side to look at Ginny. "Hey, Gin... you know... last night, when you mentioned having red- haired children with green eyes... that was what I thought it meant, right?" He realized that maybe he was sounding a little suggestive considering their situation at the moment, and added, "Just out of curiosity of course, you want to marry this person with green eyes?"

"You mentioned something about a timeline," Snape said. all eyes turning to the dark corner. "Was there anything more specific than 'the first to initiate conflict'?"

Ginny stilled for a moment, having thought that Harry wasn't paying attention the night before. "If he asks," she replied solemnly, before a mischievious smile broke out on her face. "Of course, if Seamus doesn't ask, I'd willingly bear his love children anyway."

"Nothing so specific as a date," Tara replied coolly, wanting to kiss Snape for giving her the chance to redeem herself. Of course, the thought of kissing him almost side-tracked Tara's mind again, and she pushed it down quickly. "However, it would be safe to hazard that it must occur before this cycle of the moon is up. That gives us less than a month to get under way. We don't need to FINISH in that time, merely strike." The word we sounded so right... she was part of this now. There was no escaping it.

Harry searched her eyes for a moment, "Oh!" He said, "You're joking... good..." He was amazed at himself for really being so thick as to think she was serious for a split second. He smiled, "I love you," he said before moving his hand to her hair and stroking it softly.

Seeing that the meeting was over, with the excpetion of the inevitable greeting of the new members, Snape quietly slipped from his chair and began to make his way toward the door, hoping to leave without notice.

Ginny laughed as she realized Harry had taken her seriously for a moment. "I love you too," she grinned at him and nestled into the crook of his arm. "I don't really love Seamus at all. I'm just using him because he's a marvelous kisser." She poked him in the ribs. "You're not bad, though. I think I'll keep you."

Snape was moving towards the apparation point and George jumped over the table and moved in front of him. "You weren't going to leave, Severus? Were you? That breaks my heart. I wanted a jolly old congratulations from you. Maybe we could go and get a butter beer?"

Tara smiled thinly as Kingsley shook her hand a bit too hard and Moody clapped her on the back. She hadn't given them any dates or useful information, but they were greeting her as if she were their new best friend. "Excuse me," she murmured, pulling away, her eyes searching the room for Severus... Snape. She called him Snape.

Harry smiled and played along with her. "Oh, Cho Chang was a marvelous kisser, you know. And I was so good at it, I made her cry." He laughed. "But, really, you are quite good at it and I'm glad you have decided to keep me."

Fred, secretly glad the meeting was over, strolled over calmly to SNape and his brother. He put himself between the two and reached for Snapes' hand, patting it a friendly manner."I'm so sorry for my brother's annoying behavior. I do hope you'll forgive him. He always was the immature one." Fred said giving his brother a reproachful look. "But, he does have manners. So how about that butter beer, Severus? Our treat!" Fred asked with the biggest grin his face could handle.

Snape sneered at the twins. How he longed to take a few hundred points from Gryffindor and give them a month of detention for their ill-mannered behaviour. He took a step toward the door. "No thank you," he said through gritted teeth, determined not to hex them.

Ginny wrinkled her nose. "Its poor form to mention ex-girlfriends, Harry. I'm not above finding Cho Chang and hexing her ever-loving lips off, you know." Her eyes sparkled with good humor, but she was a bit serious. Cho was not one of her favorite people. Ginny leaned against Harry, enjoying the feel of his Quidditch-honed muscles holding her. He was wiry but strong. "Do you feel better, than?"

Tara didn't know exactly where she was headed, but it was generally away from the congratulations and towards... something else. She wondered if it would be awful of her to just slip away now and speak with Dumbledore in the morning. He understood how she felt about crowds and would probably forgive her for disappearing.

Tara suddenly found herself standing between Bill Weasley and the wall. His back was to her, and his intention was not to be rude, but she was trapped nonetheless unless she pushed past the tall man. She felt her breath hitch in her throat as she waited for him to move enough to get by. It took almost a minute and by the time she pushed past his robed form, she couldn't breath at all. This was not the time, she chided herself and ran fully into something hard. Looking up with panic-striken eyes, Tara found herself facing Snape.

Snape gratefully slipped away from Fred and George as Albus took them away to meet up with some of the other members. He was so relieved that he failed to watch where he was going in his haste to get out the door and back to his quarters. He felt someone collide with him and sneered down at them until he realized who is was. "Professor," he said, holding her by the arms to steady her before quickly letting go.

He stood, arms limp at his sides, looking at her for what seemed like ages before he finally cleared his throat. "Interesting talk," he said, thinking of an excuse to head out. "Well... it's late... I'd best be going."

He opened the door and slipped through, shaking his head. It was barely ten o'clock. He walked into the next room and stood, basking in the cool, empty, darkness, before he was ready to walk back to the castle.

Tara breathed a sigh of relief that Snape had left without questioning her. If she could get out of here, she'd be fine. She finally crossed to the apparation point and disappeared with a satisfying crack. The night air felt lovely as she landed outside the gate, and Tara walked slowly up to the front door of the castle. It loomed above her, and she sank gratefully onto the steps. Nestling her head into her hands, Tara took great shuddering breaths, trying to regain her cool and get up the desire to head back indoors.

Snape walked back down the tunnel which led underneath the whomping willow, savouring every moment of the peaceful, dark, solitude. Proddidng the knot at the base of the tree, once again, Snape emerged from the tunnel and walked out of range of the branches before stretching his limbs. He walked through the grass and noticed a figure sitting on the steps as he approached. He tried to see who it was, but they had their face in their hands. "Enjoying the night air?" he asked, in greeting.

Tara didn't move. She knew that voice, and a part of her had been wanting to hear it all day. The rest of her, however, wondered if she kept her head down long enough, if he might get bored and walk away. No noise followed, however, and she looked up at him. Her breath was still catching in her throat, and Tara felt like the biggest fool ever. Imagine being frightened of such a thing when there were so many worthy things to be afraid of.

Her eyes were huge and nearly black, rimmed with unshed tears. "No, not really. I just need a moment." Her voice was dismissive, and she laid her head on her knee, turning it away from him.

Snape looked down into watery eyes and felt the strangest urge to sit beside her and ask her what was worng. He settled for a standing before her and asking her about the meeting. "Was that the first you've been to?" he asked.

Tara felt a certainty that if Severus would sit beside her and take her in his arms, her heart would return to normal and she'd be able to breath again. Keeping her head on her knee and her eyes from his, she replied dully, "Yes. And what a perfect job I did too. I'm sure they'll invite me back."

She finally lifted her eyes to his again, hoping he couldn't read her plainly. "I did an awful job, didn't I? And all those people..." she hiccuped.

He was confused by the look in her eyes and the urge to sit beside her became even stronger. He swallowed the lump which was forming in his throat. "It was one of the better reports I've had to sit through," he said, frowning. "If I have to sit through another of Mundungus Fletchers innane ramblings..."

Snape sat down on the steps beside Tara without thinking. He ran his hands through his greasy black hair and sighed. "It was fine," he said, barely audible, as he rubbed his left forearm.

Tara watched him for a moment in silence before she finally spoke, her eyes never leaving his face. "Don't lie, Severus. You're above that," she pushed her hair behind her ears, still looking at him. "I stuttered and blushed and then nearly..." She really didn't want to get into her attack, so she left it standing there.

"Well, that's a real shame Sev, George and I will put the butterbeer on raincheck then! Lovely to see you!" Fred said to Snape's back. Then the two boys were swept off by Dumbledore. They actually knew and had met most of the Order members from their time spent at Grimmauld before, but they were friendly guys and they talked with everyone a good bit. Finally coming to Mundugus, and having lost Dumbledore to Moody, they disappeared into a shadow. They went over some business with him, and before their mother could check their pockets, they went to the middle of the room. "On behalf of George and I, I'd like to say how honored we are to be apart of this whole organization and we won't be letting anyone down." Fred and George bowed then, with two loud cracks they were gone, and on their way back to Grimmauld.

Fred and George both appeared back at Grimmauld to a deserted entrance hall. The place was quiet and gloomy, and for the first time in a while, Fred remembered Luna and why they were at Grimmauld in the first place. He remembered finding her, her stunned face, her face the day before. He ran a hand through his shaggy hair and said, "I'm...I'm going to grab a bite to eat George. I'll make you a sandwhich too. Mabye you should go check on Ginny while I do that..."George disappeared up the stairs to look for Ginny, and Fred went through the doors to the kitchen. He found Hermione sitting away from the others on a stool towards the back of the kitchen. He stopped in the doorway and just stared at her for a while. Finally regaining sense, he moved to the back of the kitchen with a nod to everyone at the table.

Fred wanted to touch Hermione..wanted to take her into a hug, tell her how worried he had been about her when he found Luna, but settled with just sinking his hands in his pockets. "Hi....you..you doing alright, Hermione?"

"I nearly made a bigger fool of myself than is normal even for me," Tara replied vaguely. It was strange, sitting here in front of Hogwarts with a man who was really nearly a stranger and yet felt like one of her dearest friends. It didn't take her but a moment to put her guard back up when she realized she had just called him by his given name rather than her standard, "Professor." Much, MUCH too friendly.

"I need to be getting to bed," Tara said flatly.

Hermione managed to smile at Fred. She mentally recalled the day before, falling asleep with him and Luna in the grass, something that seemed to be too spontaneous for Hermione Granger, and later, helping him with the map of Diagon Alley. "I suppose I'm alright, Fred... how are you doing?" She asked, being polite. Once he answered, she would have to congratulate him onbeing asked to join the Order of the Phoenix.
