After Ginny finishes her final year at Hogwarts, she's stunned to learn that Harry, who's been out of school a year, is engaged. Not wanting to return to the Burrow, which will be full of wedding planning and activity, Ginny escapes to Diagon Alley for a bit of independent living. The twins kindly take Ginny in and offer her a job, and she drags Neville and Luna along as flatmates. Who knows what will happen now that they are living independently?

This is a VERY loose storyline so far, but we want to have the chance to explore these characters as rising adults. I have all of the main characters filled at this point. If you are interested, go ahead and post your character idea. To be honest, I'd prefer HP characters (but not necesarily HRH) rather than made-ups... although a quality made-up is always welcome. If I don't feel your character will add to the story, I probably won't say yes. Also, we're quite serious about RPing, so if you aren't on at night EST, CST, or you will only post very sporadically, don't bother. This is advanced RPing, so YES, your posts need to be longer and more detailed and we DO care about your spelling and grammar.

Tara's lips curved into a tiny hint of a smile. He cared about Dani too, and that warmed her heart and brought her joy that she couldn't even begin to explain. Dani yearned for love and approval so much. But crashing down around that was the realization that they couldn never the family she might want, that she was beginning to suspect they'd be so good at. They could never be a public family. He could never claim ownership or affection, and they could never let people know they belonged to him. It would never work, and that little fact broke her heart.

"Even still," she finally answered. "You should know that... that your safety is important to me. I know you have to do certain... things in order to maintain your cover and your life."

Snape nodded and leaned his back on the chair, closing his eyes. What he really wanted was a hot bath and some of that muscle-relaxing potion. Perhaps... He was loathe to ask so much of her but, she looked as if she did want to do something for him. "I don't wish to trouble you," he began, opening his eyes and looking up at her. "But, I would very much like a hot bath."

Tara stood in a swift motion and levitated all the potions back to their places. She dropped one, but it managed not to shatter in the thick, dusty carpeting. "Do you want to use the tub upstairs or shall I help you back to your quarters? I can draw a bath for you there while you take whatever potions you need." She held out a small hand to help him from the couch.

"I'd rather stay here, if you wouldn't mind," Snape quickly replied. "If you wanted to get that potion for me, I keep a vial on the night table, it's the only vial there. But, it isn't absolutely necessary. In fact, once I take it, I won't be able to move much at all."

"Then..." Tara thought quickly. "I'll go and draw you a bath, and while you bathe I'll retrieve your potion. You can take it once you feel a little better and then you can crash in whatever room I choose for Danika and myself. I'm very put out with the twins and I can't find them anywhere in this blasted house. Perhaps I'll throw them out of their room, since I'm certain it has two beds."

"I'll need some assistance, I think, in getting up the stairs," he said, placing his hands firmly on the arms of the chair and pushing himself to his feet. His muscles felt as if they were on fire for a moment but, the feeling passed to a dull ache and he knew he'd be able to at least make it to the stairs, if not up them on his own.

Tara eyed him. He was in considerable pain, and she knew her diminutive height wouldn't be of much use to him. "Do you want me to try to support you on the stairs or shall I just Locomortis you?" She touched his hand softly, needing the reassurance that he had faced down pain and misery and was standing before her now. She tried to forget that she was the reason for it.

Snape looked down at her diminuitive form and realized he'd been foolish to think she could support his weight up the stairs but, he didn't need that much help. "I can manage without being floated. I can use the bannister for most of my weight and once I start moving, it will be easier going, anyway." he said, moving slowly toward the door. In an unusual attempt to add levity to the conversation he added, "Though I may need more help undressing."

Tara smiled and grasped his hand, somehow feeling that if she needed to, she could get this man up the stairs and tucked somewhere safe. "Well, we know I have some practice with that, so no worries there. I might also help you redress, but only if you're good."

Oh yes, he hadn't thought about getting dressed. "I think I'll need a change of clothing, if you don't mind rummaging through my wardrobe," he said as they arrived at the bottom of the staircase and grabbed hold of the railing with one hand, managing a couple of stairs without incident.

Tara repressed the urge to salute, knowing this was not one of those times in which Snape would willingly overlook her occasionally strange sense of humor. "Alright, potion from your night table and a change of robes. I'm going to check and see if you own something other than black, you know. Anything else?" She hovered just behind him, knowing that if he fell, he'd take her out too.

"No, I can't think of anything else," he grunted, concentrating more on getting up the stairs and not falling back and crushing Tara. When he reached the landing he let out a sigh of relief, getting the rest of the way to bathroom would be relatively easy.

Tara inched her way down the hall behind Snape, unable to help and unable to say anything remotely helpful. They made it into the bathroom and Tara moved so that she was holding Snape gently around the middle. She knew she might be hurting him, but she just needed to touch him and hold him. "I... I'm glad you're ok. I'm sorry that I... I messed things up." After a few moments, Tara let go and stepped back.

He was sore and Tara's embrace made him twinge a bit but, he enjoyed having her close. "You didn't mess things up at all, it was I who ignored the call," he said, raising his hand to stroke her cheek. "Now, how about running the taps and helping me out of these clothes."

Tara nodded, unable to speak because of the emotion that was closing her throat. She turned on the water and watched it slowly fill the tub before turning to examine what, if any, potions were available to add. "I don't know if you want any of these," she shrugged, then set the bottles back on the counter. With a sigh, she finally moved to Snape's side and began to unbutton his shirt. "This will sting a bit when I start to pull it off your shoulder."

"It's alright, I'm pretty sure I can handle it," he replied, and managed to remain quiet and still as she removed his shirt completely. Then, she moved to the buttons on his trousers and when he was fully undressed, managed to help enough so that he didn't hurt himself too much when he lowered himself into the tub. As he sank beneath the warm water, the tension in his muscles began to ease and he shut his eyes as he leaned his head against the tile. "Thank you," he whispered.

Tara pushed the hair off of his forehead. "I'll be back as soon as I can. I'm going to lock the door and hopefully you will be left to your privacy. I haven't even seen anyone in the house, so I don't think that'll be much of a problem." She touched his face again and quickly left the room.

After Tara's comforting touch and exit, Snape concentrated on allowing each part of his body to relax and he settled deeper into the tub, only his head above the surface of the warm bathwater. He tried not to think about what had happened not too long ago but, found it mildly ironic that those circumstances would lead to his and Tara's first full night together, even if Dani would be there with them.

Guin had finished the days work as she slowly walked back to her tent. She changed into her night gown and sat down at her desk in her tent. Quickly overlooking a few more finale things for the following day she then made her way to her cot. Glancing around her tent she blew out the oil lamp by her side and pulled the covers over her. What was George doing back at Grimmauld?! Guin stared up at the tents ceiling and smiled, she hadn't felt this way about anyone since...ever. She shifted on the side and closed her eyes before quietly drifting off to sleep.

Fred stared at the small girl in his lap for a while before saying anything in response to her unbelievable last couple of statements. Choosing his words wisely he said, "Well, perhaps so. But, if it were me...I wouldn't want a vampire as my dad. But that's just me.." Fred said, a grin forming across his face. "And..you'll be a Gryffindor, just like Uncle Gred and Forge."

Dani scrunched up her nose. "Yuck. I don't want to be a Gryffindor. I want to be a Ravenclaw or a Slytherin. Mum said!" She stuck out her lip petulantly before considering the rest of his words. "A vampire? Coooool. Does that mean that if someone makes him mad, he can just bite them? I've never met a vampire before." She considered the possibilities. "I'm tired."

Dani had an attention span shorter than Fred's, which nothing short of amazing. "Well, then I could use some sleep too.." Fred stood, picking up Dani with him and rearranged her so she could ride on his back. Fred smiled and reached for Hermione's hand and held on tight to Dani with the other. Following George, they descended the stairs..

Dani rode down the stairs on Fred's back. They were a very weird bunch, but they were funny and mostly nice. She wasn't sure about the whole face-eating scarf thing, but since they weren't mad she'd set Fred on fire, it must be alright. Fred dropped her on the landing and she started to scuttle off when she realized she had no idea where to go.

"Where do I sleep? And where's the bathroom at?"

George pointed at a closed door. "That's the bathroom right there," he answered, putting his hand on the knob. It was locked, which was strange considering there weren't many people in the house and a lot of them were probably already in bed. Thinking it might be Dani's mother and feeling a bit embarrassed that they'd taken the child up there and pretty much hidden her away, George tapped on the door. "Erm... Professor?"

Snape was enjoying his relaxation and hoping Tara would hurry back. A sound from outside the door interupted his quiet time and it sounded like a Weasley. "I do not wish to be disturbed," he replied, hoping they'd have enough sense to go away.

"Oh...welll in that case, George and I will just take little Dani up to bed with us. Good night, Snape!"Fred called loudly at the door. He broke out laughing and started the countdown as to when Sinistra would come bursting out the door..
