Giggling, Kara sat down in her chair. She was still holding onto her clutch bag which she put in her lap. She quickly put a strand of hair behind her ear, embarrassed. "What's up with that look ?"she said while noticing his jaw hanging open

The giggling stopped and she shot him a glare, pouting. "I'm not your minon Tall Freak."she siad looking his way. She and Hirik acted like teenager still, hehe. It wasnlt that bad its not like they were fully grown. Remembering why she was so excited, a grin spread on Kara's face.

"Hey Hirik..."she took a pause. "I have a date with an auror friday..."

Oh, Okay. They'd seemed to gotten over the awkwardness their conversation had turned into. That was good.

She smiled as he grinned. Callie sounded like a nice girl, *sigh* she wished she had a little sister. She could always hope to have her own little girl, knowing her luck she'd probably have a boy. She didn't really mind but boys didn't let you dress them up and play with their hair as much as girls did. "Yep." They weren't about to go into the subject of having kids were they ? This was certainly not Cora's good subject, especially with a guy she liked. "I love Cody and all but I'd like a little sister, bit late now." she said with a small giggle, hoping that didn't sound like she'd wished she had a little sister rather than Cody.

James leant back in his seat and watched her. "But you're not in that.. stage yet right?" Perhaps a little nervously. Children honestly freaked him out. Sure he planned on having them SOMEDAY but he was 27! That was early! He was still a very eligible bachelor! And he had a lot of growing up to do before he was ready to have kids.

"I don't know. I always liked having a sister - and Callie is certainly a handful," He remarked. California certainly WAS a handful..
"Your parents are getting on?" SHe seemed younger than him.. but that was just a guess.

Cora leant on her hand and leant her elbow on the table. Okayy, this was sorta heading towards awkward again but atleast they were talking. "Um..I guess not." She'd never really thought about it, yeah she wanted atleast one child but she'd never really thought about when she wanted it, Eh she had plenty of time she was only 25. She needed to be able to handel a five year olds needs first.
"I never really spent time with Cody when he was little, I was 19 by the time he was born." Her parents had the worst timing, they decided to have another child when she was 19, Seriously. They HAD to make her wait 19 years for another brother or sister. "Um yeah, sorta." They weren't reeaally old but in a few years they'd be like 60. "My mom's 56 this year and my dad's 58. How about your parents ?"

Hirik quickly shook his head, grinning crookedly at her, "Nothing. Just spazzing." Like hell he was gonna tell her it was HER that made him shocked into silence. "So what have you been up to Karebear?" Not like he hadn't seen her a few hours ago.

Chuckling at her pout, Hirik winked, "Your totally my minion." He was too tall to be a minion, therefore that left Kara. Well unless Sav wanted to be the minion, or X. Nahhhh, Kara was Midget!Minion. No doubts about it.

Hirik could feel his heart plummet, and he had to keep his face from doing the same. "Oh...that's really cool Kar." And yet he had nothing to report, well, actually, "Someone told me I was very close to the perfect man." If only he had confidence.

The giggling quickly returned, as he spoke. Silly Hirik. "You are so goofy." Kara said while shaking her head, still giggling. The giggling stopped as he asked how she was doing, Kara shrugged. "Nothing really, I went exploring, I met some new people."LIKE PIERCE! Swoooon. Oh, she couldn't wait to talk about him with Hirik, he would be so happy for her.

"Lies."she said while rolling her green eyes. "I think you have forgotten the hero is the brave one..."kara paused,smirking. "And the brave one is me."she said, proud. Kara ran her fingers through her dark hair, a habit when she was tired.

The smile was now bigger on Kara's face as she thought of Pierce. "Yeah ! I'm going out with him tomorrow, his name is Pierce and he is...amazing."SWOOOOON oh Pierce. "Really ?"kara asked while punching him in the arm. "I'm not surprised, did you ask her out ?"he probaly didn't. Snort.

Hirik grinned, shrugging his shoulders slightly, "I do what I can." Hmm, exploring? Meeting people? "I did the same, really. Met a couple of people with awesome hair." Snort. The mohawk still shoulda been GREEN! Tehe.

Hirik pouted, faking hurt, "How could you say that! You wound me, minion." Sniff sniff. Noticing her fingers running through her hair, Hirik nearly pouted, she was tired. Which meant he couldn't keep her up much longer.

More talk of the date? Joy. Forcing a smile, Hirik nodded like he was excited for her, "That's great Karebear! I'm excited for you! So, he's an auror?" Pierce. Weird name. But then again, so was Hirik. Nodding, Hirik raised an eyebrow, "Why are you not surprised?" Ermmmmmmm, "No. Should I have?"

Awesome hair ? OMG. MR.COLORFUL! He HAD to be thinking of Mr. Colorful..er...Gerard, Kara thought that was his real name anyway ? "You mean guy with pink Mohawk ?"she asked while smiling. She hoped so, "if so you are referring to my FLIRT!buddy, Mr.Colorful. He called me Little Miss Giggles."eye roll. She liked him though.

Kara let out a tiny smile, still running her fingers through her hair, "I don't mean to, Bearboy."she said while looking his way. A yawn shortly afterwards. Man, she was tired.

Kara's hand dropped and excitment was practically glowing off her face. "Yep ! He is new to it though but he still is an auror, you need to meet him sometime, he is realllllly quiet but I realllllly like him." Nod. Pierce was hot too but she wouldn't mention that to Hirik. Rolling her green eyes, she chuckled, "cause Hirik, you are adorable and you don't realize it."she wished he would though.

*poutttt.*

"Don't you want to date people ? So we coud like go on double dates and stuff...?"

James frowned. There was something wrong with him. He wasn't usually like this - ever. He was smooth and perfect and his flaws were so obscured by his general awesomeness that conversations like these were abnormal! It had something to do with the fact that she had such pretty eyes

Whoah! Snap out of it, man!

James blinked and nodded. Right, so she wasn't about to start preaching about having babies. Thank the lord. He wasn't ready for that yet. This was only the first date and it was going off to a rough start.. and end it seemed.
James nodded but he'd been 14 when Callie was born. Kinda the age she was now. He'd never really spend time with her either - she'd been all crying, diapers and gurgling. And now when she was older, he hardly ever saw her. It was very sad really. Oddly, some soft, slow music started playing and James frowned. Weird.

He shrugged. His parents were about that age, a little younger but didn't really make much difference."About the same." He frowned and looked at her. There was something about her. It was HER fault this conversation was failing. He was too busy staring at how her blonde hair framed her face to think about how to save this date. *headdesk* This had nevvvverrrr happened to him before.

"D-do you want to dance?" He did NOT just stammer! Getting up, he presented her his hand and smiled a little. "Doth the lady want to dance?" Cheesyness got him everywhere. *wink*

Cora tilted her head as he frowned. "Everything okay ?" Things were much better at the coffee shop, they were being all flirty and unawkward and their conversation like just um flowed well. She smiled as she looked into his eyes, they were amazing. She blinked, trying not to make it too obvious she was staring at him.

She'd never been on a first date like this. Mainly because the last date she went on was two years ago and she only went because she felt sorry for the dude she went with. The last person she'd been out with that she acctually liked this thought didn't include James because if it did it would be this one Was when she was in her 6th year. Ha. Some date that was, it was nice of him to buy her a ice cream though and he was hot. Not as hot a James but yeah hot. She bit her lip awkwardly not flirtily. He was frowning, again. Then music came on, slow music. Eh.

She listened to the music, hoping it would liven up and just be a random muggle pop song, But no it stayed the same. It was slow, and smooth. She looked up at he spoke, not that he said anything she could reply to, she could if she really wanted to but she didnt know what to say. She looked over at the dancefloor as she heard James mention dancing.

How could she not of noticed that ?

Oh dear, Oh dearrr. She thought he was joking. Um, she wasn't the best dancer. Not ballroom anyway. She'd been to ballet when she was younger, and then street dance when she was a teen but no ballroom. Doth ? LOOOL. "Uh. I suppose, but if I tread on your toe Im terrribly sorry." She said nervously getting up and taking hold of his hands.

Wow, he had soft hands.

If James had been more concerned with people's emotions instead of how those emotions affected his chances with winning a woman, then he would've again noticed Cora's uneasiness but he was too busy staring into her eyes like a sappy idiot to notice anything.

But really.. he'd NEVER had a date like this. Especially because usually all had to do was say some amazing line and things just sort of fell into place. In this instance, unfortunately, things weren't so easy. He'd even thought he'd saved it with the talk of siblings and Cody but if he hadn't, he didn't notice because he was leaning forward to tuck a stray bit of hair out of Cora's eyes. Man, she was all.. dazzling.

The music was soft and slow - almost like a lullaby and James was beginning to get drowsy from the beverage and music when he stumbled upon a brilliant idea! How had he not thought of that before? It was time to dance.

He lifted her from her seat and smiled at her remark. "I'll lead then?" He said. Not that a woman ever led anyway! He led her towards the dancefloor, a hand placed softly on her back, before he spun her into his arms. James was a cultured man and there was one surefire way to impress a woman and that was to dance with her. or spend a day cleaning her house but this was waaaay easier.

The music was slow and calming and he pulled Cora close to him and smiled. "Perfect."

James wasn't like all the other people she'd met, well male people should she say. He was, um just different. One he was fitter than most male people she'd met and she usually just joked around with them but thiss time she was forced to flirt, yes forced by her brain. and maybe her heart.

This was gonna end in diaster she could tell, it was like a roller coaster, and they never ended on a high they ALWAYS ended at the bottom or that would be dangerous 'cause how would people like get off the roller coaster other than jump and hurt themselves but yeah anyways back on subject, they always ended on a low which meant they're date would. Le sighh. She looked up at James into his sparkling eyes and smiled.

Eh. Slow music meant dancing. This part was obviously a low in the roller coaster, she was gonna end up tredding on his toe or something, or tripping him up. Oh dear, Oh dearrr.

She followed him like some sort of lemming, or crup or something. "Um, yeah probably best." And safest. She followed him and smiled inwardly as he put his hand on her back. Maybe she was gonna like this dancing with James more than she thought. "Um, again im not very good at ballroom, so if I hurt you im really sorryy." she said biting her lip.

She smiled even more as he held onto her. "Um. Really ?"

Cora looked terrified. Even terrified she looked pretty, he mused to himself. So he ignored all the warning signals and kept looking at her like the real twat he was. Merlin, she was pretty. Not that he hadn't meant other girls that looked like her, or ever more beautiful than her but Cora was just different. She wasn't conceited like he was and that made her more.. level-headed and he liked that.

But it seemed dancing had been just the right thing. He eyed her as she voiced her insecurities. He grinned as she spoke, saying it'd be best if he lead. "Well a waltz is traditionally lead by a man." Was it? He had no idea, but it sounded cool and that was the look he was going for.

He nodded, "Quiet Cora. Listen to the music. You're a good dancer." He winked at her and swung her out with a smirk. Swinging her back in, he nodded quietly as she spoke. "Yes.. shhhhh!" He whispered putting a finger to her lips.

Placing on hand on the small of her back and the other in her free hand, he winked again and started moving them slowly across the dance floor.

James was hot, not like she hadnt already had the same thought 100 thousand times but yeah it was swimming in her head as she looked at him. And plus he had super soft hands too. She squeezed his hand slightly, without even meaning to. "Oh. Um Sorry." Why were they even holding hands still ? Not that she was complaining. Was it part of the dance ? Or did he just like holding her hand, she would prefer the second option to be right. teehee.

Atleast they weren't being awkward now, although she felt slightly uncomfortable because she couldn't ballroom dance, even more so as he mentioned Waltz, she didn't even know what that was. "Oh, yeah it is." She said trying to sound like she knew what she was talking about, epic fail that was.

Oh, listen to the music. He was Smooooooth. and not to mention hot. She was about to open her mouth and correct him by saying she wasn't a good dancer but he put his finger over her mouth so she couldn't.

She followed him like a lemming as he lead her over the dancefloor. Before her heart or maybe her brain, if she even had one, took over her whole body and she reached up a kissed James on the cheek. EHHH. What the hell had she just donee ? "I am so sorry. I don't even know what came over mee." She said looking down at her feet as her cheeks flushed a bright red colour.

Hirik raised an eyebrow, nodding his head in agreement, "Yeah, pink mohawk dude." Which should be GREEN mohawk dude. His hair though. Flirt buddy? Oh merlin, Hirik wasn't feeling so charitable towards the guy any longer. Merlin, he had possesiveness issues. "You know...his nickname for you DOES make sense..." Tehe. He liked Karebear or Midget!Minion better though.

Hirik smiled, "I know Karebear." Noticing her yawn, Hirik frowned "You know, maybe we should just head out. Your looking pretty tired K."

More gloating about Mr. Perfect. But he was going to be there, Kara DID sound like she really liked the guy. So he smiled, like the good best friend he was, "Well good. I'm happy for you K. And I'd love to meet him." And for once, he'd be NICE. Meh, such a stretch for him.

"I'm adorable?" Since when? He was just plain old Hirik Clearwater. Nothing adorable about him. "I do want to date, I just haven't found the right girl." Well, he hadn't found the right way to tell the right girl.

She giggled, her conversation with Mr.Colorful had been quite interesting, he was a realllllly colorful character, hehe. He got his nickname because of his personality, the hair helped though. "I guess so."she said with a tiny shrug. Giggling always had been a nasty habit of hers.ugh."what's wrong ?"she asked noticing the strange look on his face like something was bothering him ? Ugh, whatever. Typical Hirik.

Resting her elbows on the table, Kara shook her head. "No, I want to hang out with my best friend for a while." Plus it would get lonely if she went home, Hirik knew Kara didn't fair well with loneliness. "And I reallllly don't want to go home, plus im hungry."now she was sounding like a whiny little kid. Mehhh...

With her elbows still rested on the table, Kara sent him a glare. "You are actually happy and excited ?"snort, that was a first. "Maybe you won't be meanto Pierce...?"eh. Kara couldn't really picture Hirik being mean to Pierce, Pierce was kind of scary.

*shrug*

He was still hot though.

"Since forever, Bearboy."she said while sticking her tongue out at him.Hirik was a total cutie, she always thought that, he would be so much cuter if he realized it. Kara liked Hirik the way he was though. Kara frowned slightly, "you will find the right girl one day..."even though Kara couldn't picture Hirik with anyone........

Reaching their destination walking together, Gavin moved a couple of steps more to reach the door ahead of his companion. "After you m'lady," he replied opening the door for her and standing beside it as he mentally berated himself for his last word.

M'lady?! he repeated in his head. Acting a bit much like the knight Ryan compares you to arent you ol' boy.

Gavin tried to shaking it off as there was no use trying to fix it now. Thinking perhaps he was meerly being polite and a gentleman to her a friend as he awaited her to pass him so he could follow.

Tasha Giggled when Gavin said "M'Lady". Walking past him she walked right to the hostest.

"Hello Table for Two please" she said while their hostest took them to their table.

There was already glasses of ice water on the table and Tasha sat down.

"Now what?" she thought.

"So Gavin, what do you do on your down time from work?" she asked him for she loved to hear peoples interests and hobbies.

Gavin relaxed a little as Tasha giggled realising she took it as good-natured. Following her inside, he waited for a moment before they both followed the hostess to what was to be their table. He took his own seat across from her since she had beat him to any more chiverous acts

"Well I read a lot as you've probably already guess," he answered, taking a sip as he thought of what else to talk about. "Other than that just the usual mulling around and sometimes helping my flatmate with his case---umm I mean puzzles," he added trying to use a more mudane word not sure how she'd react to the pastime he often got pulled into.

"Case-I mean, Puzzles" Blackstone mimicked. "Reeeeal smooth there" he grinned. Blackstone pulled up a chair and sat down. He leaned over to Tasha and raised an eyebrow. "It sounds like your boyfriend there is hiiiding something!"

"Anyway, if you can put the date on hold for a second, I have a really important question to ask" he said, giving this preface dramatic emphasis.

"I saw you had water. Can I take it? I'm thirsty"

James had almost closed his eyes to the music, when Cora squeezed his hand. Snapping his eyes open, he frowned at her stumbled apology."For?" She could be extremely perculiar. "Cora.." He asked softly. He wasn't concerned - purely curious- but she didn't have to know that. "What's wrong?"

He grinned slightly. She was so lost, wasn't she? "You've no idea what a Waltz is, do you?" He asked, too amused that he'd called her bluff. She looked so.. out of depth. He smiled and moved them smoothly across the dancefloor without too much clumsiness on her part.

They'd just started to get into the swing of things when he felt her hot lips across his cheek. His eyes flew open to stare into her pretty blue ones, amusement dancing across his hazel eyes at her (once again) stuttered apology.

He smirked, honestly amused by their entire date. Cora was definetely different. "Why are you apologising?" He asked her, seriously, raising an eyebrow in physical response.

Cora bit her lip, looking down from his eyes to her feet, trying to watch where they were going trying not to tread on James' foot. She bit on her lip even harder, causing it to bleed slightly as he asked why she was apologizing. "Uh..squeezing ...your hand ?" she said quietly. This was heading back to the stages of awkward. "Um, nothing ? Why ?" It was nice to know he acctually cared though.

Okay, so she wasn't as good at lying as she thought. "Um. No ?" she said, looking back up at his face and giggled slightly, although there wasn't much to laugh at. "The only thing I know about to do with dancing is ballet, and a bit of street dancing."

Eh. What had she just done? What had she doneeee ?! She wanted to faint, then like wake up and this would all be over. Maybe if she preteneded to get a phone call saying the Cody had to come earlier and she had to go home.

Cora was kinda confused why he was smirking but oh well. He obviously had his reasons. Ehhh, didn't he know ? "Please. Dont make me say it outloud." It was bad enough the thought going through her headdd. Embarresment.

Hirik chuckled, but nearly fell out of his seat when she asked what was wrong. Merlin. Kara could read him like a book! How was that possible? Probably due to their closeness since they were tykes in school. Who knew. "Nothing, nothing. I'm alright." he smiled to emphasize his point.

Hirik chuckled, secretly pleased she wanted to stay with him. "Well, perhaps we should order up then?" 'Cause he was hungry too! Pouting, Hirik frowned, "At least you HAVE a home to go to. I got distracted today, so all I have is the Leaky Cauldron." And that dingy little room he was forced to live in. Yuck.

Hirik forced a smile, nodding his head slightly, "Of course I'll be nice to Pierce." For once. "And yes, your happy. So I am too." Well, he'd force himself to be at least.

"If you say so." Hirik couldn't agree at all. He thought these chicas were crazy thinkin' he was a cutie.

Oliver chuckled, giving a small shrug, "Well it would certainly be rude if I just left you here alone." He'd only make her sweat a little thinkin' he wouldn't come, but he'd never just ditch.

What had he been up to? "Work, work, and more work. The excited day life of Oliver Runes." Sighhhhh. "What about you?"

Tinsley snickered. Yeah, right. Like he'd ever ditch her. He knew he was lucky to even be on a date with her, so she knew he wouldn't push it.

"Nothing much, just did some shopping today since I was off," she replied. Then, winking at him, she questioned innocently, "Aren't you excited to see me?" Because she was definitely excited to see him.
