Walking into the restaurant, about a half an hour early, she looks around just in case Erik had gotten there early as well. Not seeing him, she finds an empty booth and takes a seat. As the waitress comes, she orders herself an ice water, as usual. She figured she'd better wait on Erik's, so it would be cold when he got it.

Taking out her notepad from her bag she'd put on the seat next to her, she starts drawing up a sketch for the plans for the next edition of the DP. She needed to make some plans, if her part was to be ready in time... Her mind having been elsewhere lately, sure wasn't sitting well with Ian.

A smile still playing at her lips, since Erik's visit that afternoon, she thinks back to the box he'd brought. The robes had been adorable, as were the other tiny little items she'd noticed, before closing the box to peruse later that evening. Her muggle pencil poised above the pad, shaking her head she looks down at it. She'd not even written one word yet.

Pulling it toward her, she starts writing down information on the pics she wanted to have done, and what ones were ready already.

Erik walked into the restaurant on his cell phone, an unusual thing for him since the only person who ever called him was his crazy uncle. "I just gave ye money what to ye mean ye need more?" His irritation level was at it's highest not added by the crazy man who decided to go all Voldemort on Level 3.

"I don't care if ye eat nothin' but noodles ye should have thought o' that before gamblin' all mah families money away ye two bit loser. Ye aren't goin' ta see another dime from me. Get a bloody job," he hung up on him with a frown and very nearly almost threw the phone across the room before thinking better of it.

Looking around he spotted Kenzie sitting by herself and he sighed. He didn't even know how late he was. Glancing at his watch he winced, an hour late. Why was it when he had something to do he couldn't ever get out of the office? Heading over to the table he sat down and slammed the phone onto the table. "I'm sorry sweetie," he said tiredly.

Hearing Erik's voice talking to someone she looks up, spotting him on his phone, she smiles at him. Realizing something was wrong, she decides maybe she shouldn't be paying attention to the conversation. Whatever it was about, she sensed something was definitely wrong.

Finishing writing a few more notes on the fourth page of her pad, she flips forward a few pages, making sure she had the last photo design ready for print.

Looking up as he sat down, she smiles at him. With him having slammed the phone down, she definitely knew something was up. Her eyebrows knitting a little and tilting her head, she asks "About what?" she had no idea, what the time was, having been so preoccupied with the notes she was making.

"Is everything okay?" she asks softly, concerned.

Looking up as someone came up he sighed, "Ummm just some water fer right now please? Thanks." His eyes landed on Kenzie's notepad and he smirked. She had to be the only woman in the world who wouldn't notice how late he was because she was drawing. "I'm an hour late baby..." he said with a raised eyebrow and a smirk.

Hearing her question he frowned, "No mah uncle wants more money..." Just then his phone rang again and he groaned. Looking at it he saw it was his uncle again. Frowning he popped open the back of the phone and took out the battery with a satisfied, smug look. HA! Only thing that would've made it better was if he could make it into tiny pieces. "And issues at work o' course."

Her eyebrows raising, she hadn't realized at all that he'd been that late. Laughing, she shakes her head. "Well, at least I finally got caught up I think on work."

Her eyebrows knitting, she shakes her head again as he explain about his uncle. She just didn't understand how his uncle could be the way he was. Didn't he have any pride? she wondered. A smirk appearing as he took out the battery when the phone started ringing again.

In some ways she missed being at the ministry, but all in all, she knew what he meant. It was stressful there... and him being in law enforcement, she was sure it was even worse then where she'd been. Reaching across the table, she takes his hand. "Well, you're here now. Perhaps with no battery we might have a quiet dinner."

She could only hope, after all the last time they were here, it wasn't so quiet.

Hirik chuckled, "Well, I'm glad to be the one changing that." He gave her a small wink across the table, before chuckling as she said that's what she would get. Mmm, he'd probably get the same, as it sounded really yummy. "Awesome!" And he waved over the waitress, "Excuse me, could we get to burgers, and I'll have a Root Beer to drink....Suki? What would you like?" He'd forgotten to ask. Bad Hirik.

Suki smiled. "I'm glad that your glad." she laughed. What would she have to drink. "Yup." she said simply. "I would like a water." Suki smiled. It wasn't the end of the world that he forgot to ask her.

Erik smiled and looked at Kenzie, "What were ye workin' on?" He asked nodding toward the little notepad. He couldn't help but remember the incident in the street with that notepad and it made him smirk. "More interestin' notes?"

Leaning back in the booth he stretched his neck and nodded, "Fer a change eh?" It'll be nice that was for sure. "So did ye get a chance ta look at the rest o' the stuff in the box?" He asked with a smirk. He was really extraordinarily happy about having a baby. Never thinking he was the fatherly type it just made him feel all...giddy.

Glancing down at the notepad, her eyes twinkle in laughter at the memory of the last time he'd seen that pad. With a giggle she replies "No...not really. I've been lagging a bit in my work, so I got here a little early to work on the plans for the photo's for the next edition of the DP." Shaking her head, she laughs a bit more "I guess I lost track of time."

Shaking her head again, "No, I thought we'd go through the rest together." a smile flooding her face, she loved his gift he'd gotten for the baby, and it touched her. She couldn't wait to see what the next surprise would be.

She looked forward to raising their child together, and the thought of it, always brought a smile to her face.

Toby wandered along the streets that were close to Diagon Alley. Browsing the shoppes he happened upon a little restaurant and decided to stop in for a small meal.

Living by himself in a flat when he hardly knew how to cook had it's downsides. He walked into the restaurant, sat at a table and looked down at the menu deciding what to have.

The atmosphere was pleasant and quiet; just how Toby liked to spend his days. He was really a singular person, as he had always been. Perhaps starting to work at the Ministry would get him to be more sociable with people.

Kara sighed, walking into the resturant with shopping bags in her hands. Today had been the first real "Kara" day in a while, it was great. She ran a hand through her dark hair, looking around. She had no one to talk to right now. This was what she hated about "Kara" days, they were lonely.

Her eyes shifted, landing a man, perhaps her age sitting alone. He was probably a muggle but she didn't care, she just needed a person to talk to. She smiled a bit shyly at him, unsure of what exactly to say. She had never approached a person like this before."Ermmm...excuse me?"She asked, tapping him on the shoulder, holding back giggles. "May I sit with you? I kind of have no one to sit with right now...."Eh, more giggling. Kara wanted to smack herself, it was certainly her worst habit.

Toby had taken a copy of the Daily Prophet out of his jacket and had started reading through a certain interesting article about Quidditch when he felt a tap on his shoulder, and the young man immediately shut the paper.

It would be just his luck to cross the boundary of the Statute and create an entire scene in the Muggle world. Turning around, Toby looked to the young woman standing there and his expression softened from a menacing look to one of soft kindness.

"Of course you can." the young man said standing up and offering her a seat. It seemed like the right thing to do, considering she had so many bags on her arms. The girl seemed like an ultimate shopper. Interesting enough. And she also seemed to giggle a lot. Perhaps it was a nervous habit of some sort.

"My name is Toby by the way. Toby Horgan."

Kara nodded to him, sitting down beside him. The tiny 4'10 girl was STRUGGLING with all the bags. She wasn't exactly good at lifting things, it was also her fault for buying so much stuff. "Alright thanks..."She said, throwing the bags on the ground next to her, the bag falling on it's side. "I really shouldn't buy that much stuff next time..."She said, looking down at all the bags on the ground. It was just like a random shopping fest for her! She had fun though, lots of fun.

Kara stuck her hand out at him as he introduced herself, smiling brightly. Her nose crinkled up while in the process. "Nice to meet you, I'm Kara Carter..."She said in her squeaky mouse like voice.

Toby glanced down at the bags again and smiled despite himself. How was it that girls always seemed to buy more than they needed? Whenever he went shopping he went into the store, got the item he needed and left. Simple as that.

"Are you planning to have a party or perhaps go on holiday?" the young man asked, not exactly knowing what she had bought, but she could've been planning for something special.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Kara." Toby said shaking her hand firmly. He glanced down at the menu again and offered it to her. "Perhaps you'd like to see what you'd like to have?"

Having spent all morning at Hogwarts, Kenzie enters the restaurant shivering. It had gotten cold, and she wanted something nice and hot to eat and drink. Finding an empty table, she takes a seat as the waitress walks over "I'll have cof...I mean hot tea." It was still her habit to get coffee, but she really shouldn't be drinking it.

Looking down at her stomach that was beginning to show, she smiles putting a hand on top of it, while she reaches for her menu, looking for something nice and hot for lunch.

She'd immensely enjoyed being at Hogwarts again, that day. She was amazed after all those years still remembered where everything was...

Erik walked into the restaurant with a grin on his face and a skip in his step. He hadn't had a bad day in...well since the night they got engaged, and what a fantastic night that had been, one he'd never forget. Looking around he only intended to get a cup of coffee when he spotted Kenzie sitting at a table. Smiling he walked over and sat down beside her having gotten more used to that now than sitting across from her like everyone else did.

"I'm startin' ta think ye only come here just ta see me," considering every time he came in here she was there. Smiling he leaned in and kissed her, placing his hands on her growing belly. He just felt so light hearted, like nothing could get him down. "I have a surprise fer ye. I found a crib. A perfect one too," well he thought so anyway.

Her smile growing as Erik came over and sat down with her. "Of course I do." she replied returning his kiss. She loved seeing how excited he was about their family they were starting, both the engagement and the baby on the way.

Her eyes widening excitedly, "Really! I can't wait to see it. What's it look like?" she asks curiously, she couldn't wait to see it! The nursery was nearly done except the furniture in it now, and the baby was still less then 5 months away!

Erik smiled and peered over her shoulder at the menu in her hands. Was he hungry? He couldn't decide...but then again he could always eat. What did he want though? That was another question.

"Umm..." What did it look like? Looked like a baby crib. "Like a baby crib..." he said with a smirk as he continued looking over her shoulder, "Ye can see it later. It's in the room already. Hmmm steak sounds good."

Bursting out laughing as he said it looked like a baby crib she shakes her head. "You're cute." she replies winking at him the twinkle still in her eyes. "I can't wait!"

"I think a bowl of hot soup sounds good." she replies with a little shiver. It had been quite cold up at the school, that morning. "So what kind of day did you have, any weird ones again?"

Erik smirked and looked at Kenzie, "Oh I know I am," he said cheekily and then turned back to the menu. Steak with...baked potato? That sounded good. Guess this would count as dinner then too.

Looking at Kenzie he wrapped his arm around her and tried to warm her up with his body heat. "Cold?" He didn't think it was that good but...he didn't get cold that easily really. "No no weird ones. I got ta teach actually. We went over the processes o' the Wizengamot. Was quite interestin'. How was yer day?"

Kissing him on the cheek when he said that, she giggles again.

"A little, still trying to warm up from being up at the school." Looking over at him and moving closer as he wrapped his arm around her, she smiles again "That must have been a bit fun, bringing back memories as well, I bet."

"I actually spent the morning up at Hogwarts today!" her smile widening, she had enjoyed herself a lot, and was thrilled to have been there for the first time in so many years. "They had the weighing of the wands ceremony today, and I was invited to attend, as photographer."

Looking up as the waitress brought the tea "Thank you. I think we're ready." she adds, glancing at Erik.

Katherine walked into the restaurant, she pushed the door opened. She looked around to find an empty seat, she spotted one in the corner and took a seat. When the waitress arrived and asked what she want, she ordered a hot chocolate. After a few minutes the waitress come back and bring the hot chocolate. She took a sip from her drink and put it down. She took out her muggle novel. Well, this was a muggle restaurant so she decided to act like one.

Chris entered the restaurant and saw a young lady sitting in one of the chairs. "Hey mind if i join you" He asked and he ordered himself some beef sandwiches and sat down.

Katherine looked up from her muggle novel when someone was standing in front of her. "No. Be my guest." she put the book back to her bag. "I'm Katherine Salvatore." she smiled and offered her hand to the man in front of her.

He held her hand and kissed her hand respectfuly "Chris Hobgartner im a division head on level 3. So what are you up to in the ministry?" Chris asked.
