Phew. At least someone knew what to do here, he was still over booked, but at least he didn't have to deal with extra-urgent cases at the moment. "Alright," he said smiling slightly more happily. Then, we can book this con-artist...and we'll be done for the day. A glance at Amelia was all he could manage at the moment in his worn out state, but a renewed glow was in his azure eyes.

Moving with the head, he stood quietly, wondering what was so important as to pull him away. Upon hearing the news he grinned sheepishly, "The Minister's getting hitched? Wish I'd heard that earlier!" he placed a hand lightly on his superior's shoulder. "Siobhan? So you've met her then?" The glow was know in full force, and with a twitch of his eyebrows, he finished "I think I'll manage...hopefully."

Funnily enough, this didn't had him sweaty and bothered...he had somehow or other rebounded. Odd. "When's the wedding?" he asked as an after thought, "Shame the coffee's terrible, I bet we'd all probably use some."

Amelia smiled and settled the papers down on her desk, happy to be getting on with work whilst everyone was still discussing the matters at hand. She addressed Dmitry when she said "How many people are working on this?". already having a sneaking suspicion about the answer, but waiting all the same. She began skimming the paperwork, getting a general idea of the project ahead.

She tilted her head and gave Nicoli a small smile. She felt for him as not only did he have the work load but also had to please the powers that be, which she knew could be a job in itself. She knew he was up to bthe job, but that didn't stop it being stressful.

Dmitry glanced between Syd and Nicoli for a while before speaking up " two officers should be fine , but of course if there are more important jobs ... " He had a feeling he was been nothing more than a hinderance at the moment. He turned to Amelia " Looks like it could just be us " he said with a small smile before mumbling something , with the only audable word been " understaffed "

Amelia was happy with this. It was great to work with other people, but the bigger the group, the less barings and feel you get for a case.

She leafed through the paperwork and noted that Flooing usual haunts were the Park, the market and the Raven's Claw, all within walking distance of the Ministry. "Do we know where and where he was last seen?" noticing that this wasn't included in the information that she had, "and also, two more things. Does he know we are on to him and it says here he disappeared for a couple of years. Do we know why that is and where he went?" She just asked these questions to no one in particular and just waited for someone - anyone- to respond.

This wasn't the most complete information, but it was all she had. At least she had something to get cracking on.

Syd shrugged to Nicoli. He hadn't even gotten all of the information and he was the head. Fat lot of good planning did him if no one told him anything.

"The date is beyond me now. I plan to get it out of my liason soon so I can get back to you," he said, turning back to Sychev.

"No, no, both can go. No use keeping one here. We'll manage things as best we can," he smiled.

Samantha appeared at the Magical Law Enforcement Department angry and inpatient. She was here to let them know that she was sending two of her Department of Magical Education employees to Hogwarts to investigate the matter of students disappearing and transfiguring into animals, and that she would report back with any information they found out.

Amelia looked up from her paperwork as she sensed a newcomer to the office. A woman who looked very irritated and had red patches around her cheeks like she was going to explode we as stood by the door way.

"Can we help you?" Amelia asked. This was a fairly large office but with the amount of people in there now, it was starting to feel a bit cramped.

"Yes, you certainly can," said Samantha. "My name is Samantha Rose, I'm the Head of the Department of Magical Education. It has been brought to my attention that there have been a series of mysterious disappearances at Hogwarts, at least a dozen of those, some have even reported that the students who have disappeared have been transfigured into animals. I am here to let your department know that I plan to send two of my employees into Hogwarts to investigate and also to ask a most important question - Is YOUR department aware of this situation?"

Amelia raised her eyebrow ever so slightly when this woman responded. It was obvious that Samantha was irked about this situation, so Amelia adopted a very calm tone to her voice when she responded.

"We have just been notified about this and our department head, Mr Wordsmith," she replied, nodding gently over to Syd, "is just delegating it right now. As I am sure you understand, we are already up to our eyes with a number of other important investigations, so I believe we will start dealing with it as soon as we can."

Amelia assumed, after the emphasis on 'YOUR' that Samantha was annoyed at MLES lack of response to this case, so she replied with that in mind. 'How on earth are we meant to do anything about it when we don't know it is happening,' she thought to herself.

She smiled a warm, but confident smile to Samantha, so she knew she wasn't being hostile, but to make no mistake, MLES are not to be walked all over.

"Right," Samantha said, suddenly realizing that the Magical Law Enforcement Department hadn't been informed of the matters at Hogwarts until only her recently, either. "I apologize if I came across as being abrupt, but I am most concerned about the welfare of those students," she said, smiling softly. "I have just sent one of my top employees on her way to Hogwarts to investigate the matter and will be sending another one shortly, so I believe I have the matter in hand, especially as I am prepared to go there myself if need me. Do keep me informed if your department uncovers any information, and I promise to do the same," Samantha said.

Amelia grinned. She knew that this place wasn't the most organised place ever, but it still amused her how some departments are so in the dark about important cases. She knew if she didn't laugh to herself at these things, she'd end up going crazy. Disappearances were always to be treated with caution, especially with all the goings on in the past that the wizarding world had suffered. She knew that MLES hadn't yet been tasked with this job as yet, but she knew that this was worrying Samantha and anything they could do to help, Amelia would see to it.

She knew she bosses were there, but they were keeping pretty quite, so Amelia responded, hoping she wasn't speaking out of turn. "Certainly. If you keep us informed, we'll try and get someone on it as soon as we get a bit more info and hopefully, we'll get to the bottom of it. We'll let you know if we find anything out," she assured her.

"Thank you, I do appreciate that," Samantha said, smiling her most genuine smile now. "I will let your department know if I am able to find out any information of note." Samantha thought to herself what a shame it was that communication was so poor between the departments, then wondered to herself why the Ministry seemed to always be the last people to know. "Have a good day," she said, then turned to make the trip back to the first floor. There was nothing more she could do.

Amelia smiled as Samantha left the office and said "You too, see you later."

She turned her attention back to the gathering of people still within the office after reading all of the paperwork relating to Flooing. There wasn't that much to go on, but at least there was a start. All she needed was the word and they could get cracking on the investigation.

Syd nodded to Amelia. She had handled that situation rather well. He gave Nicoli a pat on the shoulder and sighed before heading for the door.

"Alright, I've got to get back to my office. I wonder who's waiting there now," he said, exiting through the open door.

Dmitry glanced over the paperwork, true it didnt really give any indications of where he is currently " No i dont think hes onto us " he said as he looked up from the paperwork to Amelia. " Well i do know that he has previously organised shippings of the hybrid floo powder from the Ravens Claw " Dmitry frowned slightly, that name rang a bell " isnt that somewhere near here ?"

"Yeah," Amelia responded. "Actually, I went in there the other night. It's a little pub just round the corner from here. I'm actually surprised he would trade out of there, with it being so close to the Ministry. It is a regular after-work-hang-out for employees, so he's either very stupid or very brave."

She thought to herself it would be very simple to go under cover there to see if they could spot Flooing, as it could get quite busy in there. It would have been ideal if they had a photo of him, but she knew that was just wishful thinking. If they had a lead, a tip off from someone who knew when he would likely be in there next, it would make life so much easier. She bit her lip as she knew that with other departments working together on this mission, it was going to be looked at quite closely, especially with the nominal being outstanding for so long. 'Just a little more info would have been nice,' she thought to herself.

Dmitry nodded as she spoke, it was foolish of Flooing to trade that close to the ministry, but maybe someone in the ministry was in on it .... but no thats a stupid idea really, not one that he was going to bring up on his first day of work anyway.

Nicoli grinned at his Head. He'll get through it, but for now it was time to get back to work. Where's his mind been all this time? The other two were already planning the situation, and he was standing there like a mindless fool? Nicoli strode towards Amelia's desk, his disguised toned down appearance helping him blend in a little more, and took away from his demeanor.

Nicoli took a deep breath. And he thought they wouldn't have to investigate him. He took it upon himself to leaf through the files in front of Amelia, just to get it all in his head. "Syd mentioned something about you taking us somewhere, Dmitry?" he asked his head still lowered, eyes scrolling across the page.

Dmitry looked up from the notes which all three of them were scanning through " Did he ?" He said with a slight laugh, Dmitry really didnt know where to start with looking for Flooing, and having to take two other ministry employees with him wasnt helping, as he didnt even know where he was going. He glanced across to Nicoli " well we need to get to him before he plans to distribute anymore hybrid floo power.... or we need to intercept the next shipment " Dmitry grasped at the only other hard fact he had " like i said, he has been known in the past to operate through the Ravens Claw "

Amelia looked from Nicoli to Dmitry and grinned, "Well, that's the best excuse I've ever had for going to the pub," she laughed.

She turned her attention to Nicoli. "Are we putting the other investigation on hold or should we attend the Raven's Claw before or after the post office?" She was concerned that the trail on the fake potions would turn cold if they left it too long.

Nathan got back into the MLES office to find it rather overcrowded. For the first time since he left with the Aurors he actually felt lucky that he hadn’t been around during all this, what looked like, chaos. Nothing had changed then. Poor old Nicoli was having a really bad day of it. He made his way quietly over to his cosy desk in the dark corner and wondered how long it would take them to notice that he was back - and for Forrester to notice he had sneaked back to his own office. Long enough to have a quick doze would be absolutely wonderful. He sat down and sank into his comfortable chair. How nice it was to be home.

He took off his leather jacket to inspect the wound to his arm, wincing slightly as the material grazed over it. It was clean and the bleeding had stopped - which was good, but it was throbbing away painfully. He hid his arm under his desk before anyone noticed. Nathan hated to draw attention to himself. He glanced around at all the faces in the room for first time and noticed the man from Magical Transportation there. Dmitry? He gave he and Nicoli a polite nod before looking over at Amelia whom he gave a cheeky grin. He put his jacket back on and tried to relax a bit, to re-cooperate from the mission at the warehouse before he was given another assignment. Boy oh boy, would he be pleased to see his bed tonight.

He was listening vaguely to the conversation between Amelia and Dmitry, but piped up at the mention of the 'P' word, “Did someone mention the pub?” he asked brightly, suddenly looking a lot more alert. “What are you working on?” he asked Amelia.

Nicoli grinned. It had been a while since he'd had the time to go to a pub. But in the drab robes and dark hair, he would blend in perfectly. "As this is a inter-departmental investigation, it has priority, so we'll bag our con-artist afterwards." It would have to be done. So long as no one figures out that MLES was on their tail, they should be able to do this.

At the mention of the warehouse mission he pulled a face and shrugged. “Alright.” I suppose. Nathan had the feeling they could have done just as well, if not better, without his support. Clarissa who was a qualified Auror would have been a better choice to take into the actual warehouse. But he wasn’t going to complain, at least he’d actually got to do something, albeit grudgingly. He would have hated to have been one of those unlucky ones left outside with nothing to do at all. “There were only three of them. One got away and Cassandra and Forrester suffered minor injuries.” So all in all… not that great. He didn’t mention the nasty gash to his own arm. Last thing he wanted was to sent off to the healers and have to wait around there for hours and hours. Besides, growing up in a male dominated house he had suffered far worse in the past. He looked back over at Amelia as Nicoli went on to talk to Dmitry, but overheard what was being said. Looked like he probably wasn’t going to get to the pub after all.

Nicoli smiled though at the back of his mind he wondered about that glint...what was that supposed to mean? Nicoli couldn't help but smile. "You don't seem very happy with yourself," he said somewhat cheerfully. An injured Forrester, well he knew someone that could make the old Auror feel better. "If anything, it sound like the mission was successful. The fact is, you did capture two. So you just got two more dark wizards out of the world." Nicoli's eyes glittered, "And made it safer for muggles," he added as an after thought.

"In any case," Nicoli said getting back to the papers in front of him, "We've got an interesting new mission." he shuffled through the sheets, looking for something of value. "Working with the Department of Transportation, Dmitry here," he said cocking his head in the young wizards direction, "to capture a Mr.Flooing who sells hybrid floo powder." Seen that, too vague...Mmmm... Looked like he'd struck gold.

"Age, 63. Former job at Knockturn Alley, held that for 20-25 years." Nicoli recited from the well-written script. "Apparently, he went mad for some reason and disappeared of the face of the world for a few years...then started selling the floo powder. It's been...over 5 years since he's started?" It was a rhetorical question, but this was the best piece of information he'd got since Dmitry had stepped into the office. "Do you know what the floo powder does, Dmitry?" he asked. That would be important in this.

"Usually seen in the Park, Market and Raven's Claw...seems like the perfect grandfather." Nicoli looked up at them all. "From this I do think the pub'll be our best choice, people would talk easier than in the market, and we be less likely to know the man well, or at least let's hope so." It should be just the right place. "Nathan," Nicoli said facing him, "You're more than welcome to join us, that is if you're up to it." He'd noticed a certain pain in the way the man was sitting that told him that it wasn't just Forrester and Cassandra that had gotten hurt.

Nathan shrugged -the man certainly had a fair point, but the very fact that one got away meant that the job had not been done properly. Maybe if Amelia had been sent along, or Clarissa had gone in place of Nathan, they would have captured all three. But these were all questions that no-one had the answers to. He knew better than to argue with his head of department. He merely nodded, “Cheers mate.” he replied with a nod, grateful for Nicoli’s optimistic view on things. He was an encouraging boss to have.

Nathan chuckled as Nicoli explained about Mr Flooing and his hybrid floo powder, “I take it that’s a pseudo name?” If not, what the hell were the chances of that? - to share a name with your line of work. Maybe it had been his name that had driven him batty and caused him to create the hybrid floo powder in the first place. …Maybe Nathan was thinking about this too much...

“With respect sir.” Sir…not again. “Do you not think the secure wing of St Mungos should be looking into this case rather than us… or do we have to bring him here first to have him sectioned?" Was being sectioned a muggle thing? Nathan was unsure of the procedure for the mentally unstable within the wizarding world - and it was obvious the poor old man was still completely and utterly bonkers. It would be terrible to send him off to Azkaban. “Do we have any idea what drove him loopy in the first place?”

Nathan nodded. “Raven’s Claw seems like a good starting place.” Nate would blend in just fine. He had already paid the place a visit... it had a nice atmosphere, was cosy and they did a very good pint of ale… but Nicoli really did not need to know this information. “Thank you. I would very much like to join you.” He had not hurt his wand arm after all… and he hoped to hell that this arrest would not come to resorting to use of wands. For some reason, Nathan felt empathy for this old Mr Flooing.
