Chris nodded to this dude and grinned, slightly, "Yes. I am, and who might you be?" He figured this dude must be a friend of Alison's and choose to not think otherwise.

"Why I am Theodore Newtington. Head of Magical Games and Sports. I was talking to your wife in the lobby. And I offered to escort her up to you. I wanted to make sure she came to you in one piece," Theo smiled.

Alison laughed. "Oh yeah. Did I mention, Ryan was seen with a bunch of complicated looking floor plans that looked suspiciously like this building... I'm kidding, I'm kidding." She chuckled.

"Oh, Chris, This is Mr. Newtington, he's from the Games department." She nodded. "Theodore, this is Christopher Addams, my husband." who will stay that way. She thought to herself, smiling.

Chris nodded again, making myself look like a bobble head...a hot bobble head. "Well it's nice to meet you, Theo. You don't mind if I call you Theo do you?" he asked, trying not to sound protective or anything.

"DON'T do that!" Chris informed Alison. "I had a hard night last night, and I'm starting to think I'm going to die tonight." He didn't want to go into detail about the horrible incident and tried to not even remember it.

"I was hoping you would do so. I am not a fan of Mr Newtington," Theo smiled, "Do I call you Christopher? Or do you prefer something else?"

"You can call me Chris or Christopher," he replied. "It doesn't really matter. Just don't call me Mr. Addams...Mr. Addams is my father." He laughed, confidently, at his own joke.

Alison chuckled. "Okay, okay. Don't spazz." She said, chuckling. "If you do, does that mean I get to ground the kids?" She asked jokingly, a smile escaping her lips.

Then she could have smacked her forehead. Theodore. THEODORE. NOT MR. NEWTINGTON. She yelled at herself silently. she needed to stop yelling at herself. It was very distracting.

"You can ground them, sit on them, eat them, you can even kill them - for my sake - do whatever you want." he told her with a straight face. Chris heard Alison yell her at self and ignored it, for her sake. Tonight, they're so gonna get it!

Those darn kids!...

"I do not intend on calling you Mr Addams. Unless you are my senior," Theo smiled, "Therefore I shall call you Chris. Easier to say."

Alison raised an eyebrow. WHAT?! EAT THEM?! She asked mentally, her eyes widening just by a smidge. No, really, just a little. (Yeah... Right...) Alison watched Chris' facial expression and wished she could move in sooner. Hopefully, the penthouse would be sold soon, she could sell all her extra random stuff and get in the house.

Corvus sighed as she got up, walking over to the counter and picking up a mug. She then placed a chai tea bag in the mug and filled it with water, as she waited for it to set she let out another sigh.

"If people are going to take care of the pests themselves then what's the point of the pest division being here?" she picked up her tea and took a sip "I just wish they would just let us take care of things insted of doing it themselves"

Chris continued to chuckle and and agreed with Theo. "Hardly anyone calls me Christopher. Actually, the only person who does is my mother." Thank god she is the only one...

"I don't mean literally," Chris explained. "You can kill them, if you want, and it'll just make me happier." Not really, I do rather enjoy Paul...At least he knows to never ticks me off, when I'm already ticked off..."You get my point, right?"

From her position on the floor by the coffee table, Katherine can hear the conversations going on around her. She filters themn through her brain, in case something interesting gets said, but so far there hasn't been anything of note. So, taking another sip of coffee, she shuffles her Tarot deck once again, priming the deck for a more formal reading.

Starting to deal out cards onto the table top in front of her, she uses a traditional Celtic Cross spread. Once the eleven cards are out, she examines them for a few minutes, fortifying her system with more caffeine.

Corvus went to take another dink of her tea when she noticed it was empty "Oh bugger, I guess I'll just have to make more" she turned to everyone in the room "would anyone like some?" she asked."

Emily finished off her coffee and looked up, surprised there were people in the room when before there were none before. She smiled at the newcomers and went back to reading her paper, which in all honesty she wasn't reading at all.

Putting her paper in her bag she nodded to Katherine before standing up and walking towards the coffee machine. Getting a fresh cup she figured she may as well finish the report on the file she had to finish and headed for the door.

"Your wish, my command." She joked, rolling her eyes. "At least a very, extremely small amount of your children try not to annoy you." Like the ones in the female next to you.

"My mother used to call me Theodore. It is the scariest thing to hear. Now it is occasionally thrown about at home. But that is only if my son has misbehaved. And he hardly ever does," Theo smiled, "I hated being called Theodore. But it makes me seem more sophisticated now."

Katherine inclines her head slightly in response to Emily's acknowledgment of her. As the other woman gets another cup of coffee and then leaves, she realizes her own cup is empty. Standing up, she leaves the Tarot spread out on the table and goes over to refill it.

Then she returns to the floor and her cards. They were really puzzling her today, but then, the fact that she had been irritated by not having anything to do related to her job could be influencing it as well.

"Guess not" Corvus shrugged as she poured herself some more tea.

He playfully got done his knees and held on to Alison's hands, "Oh, please! Don't let the future kid(s) torture me! I hate torture!" Throughout the whole time Chris kept grinning and tried to contain his laughter, but ended up laughing again because he noticed he was acting like such a fool.

"Seriously, though."

"Sure, it does make people feel more sophisticated, when called by your full first name," Chris mentioned. "But after awhile, you'll just feel old or embarrassed by it." Oh please! Don't start reciting your memoir...

Alison couldn't help but crack up. That had to be funny on some level. "Alright, alright, shush." she shushed him, her index finger resting lightly on his lips. Please don't hyperventilate, please don't hyperventilate...She thought, looking slightly dazed. She snapped out and added, "You don't ever want to embarrass your bride-to-be who is young enough to be your freaking daughter." She rolled her eyes, her laugh subduing into a chuckle.

"I know."

Shaking a bottle of sparkling water Jack entered the break room, it seemed too muggle-ish to be drinking that, he recently returned from home after being away only a couple hours, his daughter will get better though, and that released a lot of tension in him. That's where he got the bottle, his family learned to like what they called "muggle drinks", he only looked at them as drinks.

He noticed Katherine with what appeared to be some Tarot cards, "Oh, please, let me know if you see that some work might come to us", he joked, with a relaxed smile that started to fade when he remembered how his wife used to kid around about those cards, always saying they were no good, maybe if he knew how to interpretate them his wife wouldn't have died, "My wife hated them, the Tarot cards, I always used to start a discussion with my Divination professor telling her we should only focus on them when I was young" he continued, laughing a little, his mood had improved since yesterday.

Katherine looks up from her position on the floor as she hears Jack speak. When she registers his first comment, she smiles ruefully. "I wish I could. They seem to be getting more confusing right now, the more I try to clarify." As he continues to talk, mentioning how his wife had hated them, her smile fades somewhat. "There're a lot of people like that out there, that think they're useless. But my grandmother was really good at reading them. She tried teaching me, but while I've shown some skill, it's nowhere near what she had. I keep trying though." Actually, she had been quite adept at them, before she had met Christopher. After she got married, it seemed like something had gotten blocked, and she continually got confused when she tried to do readings.

Taking another sip from her coffee cup, she looks curiously at the bottle her superior was drinking from. She had traveled enough in the Muggle world to know what it was, but it wasn't every day she saw someone in the wizarding world drinking sparkling water.

While seating on a chair close by, Jack was more leveled with Katherine's sight, so she didn't have to look up too high. He listened carefully, as if it was a very important conversation, and nodded when he heard her say she kept trying. "That's important...to keep trying", he thought.

"Oh, yes, I believe that you must have an insight for these things, I think it's something you're born with and increases when you keep it at a constant in life" Jack said, "My daughter had a friend on her first year that had a gift for those things, and she was amazed, she wanted to do that also" he repressed a chuckle when he started to remember that summer, the constant stories about quidditch, potions and the gift of foresight and those arts, "I did told her that it wasn't just necessary to understand them, she needed to have that extra-special something....She'll be taking Divination next year just for the fun of it, I'll be waiting for her letters of course" and this time he laughed almost soundlessly, he knew he'll have fun reading them while his daughter explained everything about it.

He recognized the look on Katherine's face, when she noticed the bottle Jack was still holding, it was a common reaction he'd been seeing since he walked through the Ministry before, "I was feeling a little nostalgic" he said, looking down at the bottle, like he was trying to read the label on it, "Sometimes it helps when you do, or in this case, drink something you wouldn't have in your usual day" he smiled, his mind flew to a better time in a rush and then came back, nodding.

Katherine relaxed a little once Jack sat down. Even though it seemed weird to her that he appeared to actually listen to everything she said. "Yeah. It really doesn't seem like something that you can just practice and hope you develop talent for it. And it definitely helps when you have relatives who may have passed the ability down." She unconsciously reached up and started playing with the pendant around her neck. When he talks about her daughter, she listens with interest. "How old is your daughter?," she asks once he finishes speaking. She was curious because her little brother was technically school age, but for one reason or another wasn't going to Hogwarts. She had never asked her parents why.

As he starts talking about doing or having things that wouldn't normally be part of the day, she laughs. "Well, for me pretty much anything isn't normal right now. If you consider I've been spending most of my time sitting at my desk with nothing to do."
