Ohhh so one of those kind of days. Mhmmm well that made him even more so think he had a mission to complete. To see how far he could go before she went O_________O and realized who it was she was talking to. "So my love what do you have planned tonight?" he asked casually before taking another spoonful. His eyes were twinkling mischievously now.

Elizabeth silently sighed, "No clue... probably going to see how Quinn is doing." She went on working, "What about you?" Eliza didnt even look up or even do anything but work. Her eyes flickered back and forth on the paper.

He nearly burst into laughter as Elizabeth didn't even notice the words he'd used. Shaking his head he just chuckled as he watched her look at the paper infront of her. Slipping his finger over the page in front of her. "What are you working on anyway?"

Elizabeth pushed his finger away and kept on working. "Im brushing up on the laws." She sighed, getting slightly annoyed but didnt show her annoyance. Eliza turned the page and started to read again without bothering to look up.

He considered pulling the paper towards him just to annoy her much. But instead finished his stew his eyes twinkling more mischievously than ever now. He rose to his feet. "Well love thank you for letting me join you." Leaning over he kissed her cheek "I'll see you later tonight."

And with that walked away fighting the laughter that was threatening to overtake him. Glancing back over his shoulder he wondered if she'd even noticed yet.

Elizabeth didnt even look up, "See ya..." She flipped the page, not even taking a bite of her now cold grilled cheese. It just sat there waiting for her to even remember to eat. Eliza made a few notes here and there.

Mariel smiled widely as Tyler gushed over her Quidditch achievements. Yes, flattery will go a long way with the young woman.. especially when praising her game. "Yes.. true, I did still play with them," she heartily agreed. "I would get called up every once in a while.. just enough to take me away from my potions and give me a break from my other job." As thrilling as it was though, she had no time currently for two jobs. "Autograph?" Mariel allowed a rare giggle to pass from her lips and she was sure she had blushed. She couldn't remember the last time she was asked for that. "Of course.. I will make it a point to get that to you.."

She nodded a bit as he continued. "Definitely due for a game soon," she agreed. "But that's a perk of the job," she added with a knowing smile. "I can go to any game I want to now.." And charge the tickets to the Ministry as a job-related expense.. not that she wouldn't be "working" while at the game...

Mariel smiled as Tyler talked about his little Quidditch fan. "Glad to hear he enjoys the game so much.. And yes, of course.. you need something to do while he's at school. Not to mention support him. I bet he eats a lot.. my nephew certainly does." Seemed to be a thing with growing boys.. eat you out of house and home.. and with Ethan living with her for the summer, it happened to be her house she was referring to.

A quick glance at her watch caused her eyes to widen. "Oh my.. lunch is over already.. I really need to get back to work." Mariel gave Tyler a friendly smile as she rose from her seat and gathered her things. "I appreciate the company.. I hope I will see you around again." And with that, she headed towards the door, quickening her pace as she was running late.

He was glad to see her smiling as they talked about her and her playing in the games, he was actually glad he was in company of a quidditch pro.. even if she hadnt been well known.. she had played some games for them and that would be on her record for life now! He nodded and smiled "Yes you did!" he said still smiling as he listened to her some more "Well any amount of break is a good one I would say, and a break like a quidditch game is enough to have you back behind your desk as refreshed as ever!" after all that flying through the stands.. maybe he needed to have a little match with Dylan.. on brooms.. that would be fun. He chuckled as she blushed a little and he nodded to confirm that he was indeed asking for an autograph. He gave her a nod "Thank you! I will give it to Dylan.. and we can show it to people.. when you make quidditch your main job" cause he was sure she would be a pro again.. and not from reserves this time.

He nodded in agreement that she was indeed due for a game soon.. he then chuckled and nodded again "You are right there .. that is a perk that you sports people get!.. Though I am sure.. you can take a friend a long too.. maybe.. for.. a bit of security.. say if the Ministry needed more help at the games" cause she would do that for him right? "Nah Im kidding! Wouldn be fair on Dylan if I did that" not after the boy enjoyed the previous games so much. If he was going.. he was taking Dylan with him.

Tyler nodded "He does! he has been a huge quidditch fan for a while and gets to go with my father" and then it was time Tyler decided it was his turn to take the little tyke to a game or gamesss.. He nodded "Oh well if its candy you talk about.. then yes he eats alot! He stocks up on the stuff before he goes back to school" even though his ex-wife would hide the stuff if he was with her for a few days.. them having shared custody and all. "I guess they are like that" with all that growing business that boys go through.. not that he could ever remember eating that much.

He then watched as she looked at her watch and suddenly realised she had to go.. and he knew that he had to as well.. those reports and things werent going to write themselves out. He smiled and stood up too.. "I am glad you did.. and yes I am sure you will" he said smiling as she watched her head out the door.. he sat down to quickly finish his lunch before he too headed out and back to his desk to carry on with his work.

Alex walked away from the dessert bar after putting some sweets on his tray along with his lunch. He made his way to the seating area. He stood there, looking around for a place to sit. Once he spotted an empty table, he made his way over to it and set his tray down, then sat.

He drummed his fingers on the table, glancing around him. Not many people were here at the moment. He bit his lip, hoping maybe someone would sit with him. It was a little scary being new to this place and not really knowing many people...He looked at his watch, noticing that he was a bit early for lunch. Oh well. He was always early...for lunch, that is. He was always hungry.

This day could be describe as good enough for a first day at work. Brandon didn't knew anyone yet except for his colleagues but he didn't mind because eventually he will. Stepping in the foodcourt he grabbed a tray and choose his lunch -a stew- then went looking for a place to sit.

There were only few people in the place and he didn't mind to sit by his own but he was going to try and talk to someone else. The first person he saw was a man so he walked over to his table and put his tray on it "Do you mind?" No? Good. Brandon sat down before the other man could say something.

Alex looked up as he heard someone speak. He suddenly felt a little better about getting to know people. Maybe he'd be making a friend today after all! He smiled, nodding. "Not at all! Go ahead." he said, watching as the man sat.

"I'm Alex," he said with a small nod. "Alex Armstrong. And who are you?" he asked, looking at the man and then down at his tray. He picked up his sandwhich and took a bite and then glanced back up at him.

He didn't mind. Good.

Brandon started with his soup and quickly the man started with introductions. He grabbed a napkin and cleaned his mouth "Brandon" said with a nod. A man of few words, wasn't he? The soup, on the other hand, was really nice and wouldn't have minded to remain in silence just to finish it but..."So, you've been working here for a while now?" said Brandon trying to start a conversation.

"Nice to meet you, Brandon!" Alex said with a smile. He then shook his head. "Actually, I'm new here...department of Mysteries. What about you?" he asked. It felt really nice to finally be getting to know someone else that worked here.

There was nothing quite like getting kidnapped to work up an appetite. So with food on her mind, and a bit if time to kill, Emily raided the buffet. Her plate was loaded, a couple of sandwiches, mashed potato and a salad. Her plate in one hand, and a coffee in another, Emily meandered over to the seating area and plopped herself down on a chair. Not a yellow one. Not a red one... a blue one. Yes, she had preferences.

Gazing at her plate, she took a moment to consider where she was going to start. Potato? Mmhhhmm.

Stabbing her fork in the creamy mash, Emily raised a forkful to eye level. Was it mean that she was relaxing and enjoying a warm meal while her team were gaining ‘experience’? Heh.

"Free already, homeslice?" Rusty had a plate full of sandwiches for his meal, given he'd decided that the prices on the menu suggested that everything below that pricepoint was included. Mhmm. Wasn't his fault if it was per item, it wasn't clear. And besides it DID say buffet. So Chicken Salad, Ham and Cheese, and Bacon sandwiches were on his plate. "I mean.... I heard you got kidnapped by some boss Ninjas." he added, with a faux-impressed look as he sat down at the same table.

Just saying.

"Also, you never told me you were so..." He waved one hand, "... important. Colour me impressed."

Lowering her fork, Emily smirked. It was that Killick dude. "Surprised, homefry?" she replied smoothly, placing the mash in her mouth and devouring it with a swift swallow. It seemed like a lifetime ago she had that breakfast burrito and she couldn't get food in her quick enough. Hunger pains. "Mmm, the ninja troop were awesome," truly, genius, Emily was highly impressed. "Thing is..." she started, skewering some salad stuff with the prongs of her fork, " aparating with a kick butt auror isn't such a good idea." It wasn't. Really.

She'd been about to raise her fork to her lips when Rusty mentioned something about her being important? Heh. Emily shook her head with a light chuckle, "I'm not. Trust me. Though, on the topic of impressive... you've got the moves."

"Well, you know, it depends on how much authenticity you were going for." The part where Persephone got stupefied was pretty authentic, but then Emily hadn't been there for that part. He picked up one of the sandwich halves of chicken salad and bit into it.

"Aww you didn't hurt Aron did you? We need him you know." True. Did anyone else even want the job? Not Rusty. He took another bite of his sandwich.

He shrugged one shoulder. "Me, I'm just an Obliviator. You're THE Head Auror. That's something." She was around the same age as he was, pretty young to be Head anything really.

Authenticity... yeah, her performance could have used some more bravado, but she fulfilled her aim, in observing her teams reactions. "I'd say it was pretty authentic," authentic enough for them at least. The experience was different for her, being in on the whole charade and all, but she was sure the others would have been fooled, to some extent...

Stuffing the green bits in her mouth, Emily chewed, not at all satisfied with the bitterness of the fancypants lettuce. In what world was that gourmet? Taking a sandwich in hand, Emily took a small bite of it, then proceeded with some tomato. "I spared him," she mused after her bite, throwing in a wink for good measure. "Though, need is a strong word.. and yet you use it so freely." Aron was great, no doubt about that, but they didn't need him, they were lucky to have him. It was leadership they needed... which, if it came to it, could be found elsewhere.

"Well, if you ever get bored of messing with peoples memories... you'd be welcome in MLE." Well... it'd be up to BossMan, but, you know, he was good, quick thinking, quick moving. So much win right there. And, bar the incident with the kebab, he hadn't annoyed her. Bonus!
"It's only temporary," she added, moving the green bits around her plate. "If I do well enough... then it can be permanent."

"Do you get to go through all their memories to see how they coped with the rest?" Because hey, that's fun and a popcorn moment, no? Gotta be some laughs and some action in there. And this sandwich was pretty good, or maybe he was just hungry. Rusty took another bite as Emily spoke again and grinned at her affably, doing his best to politely keep his mouth closed at the same time. Swallow.

"And start at the bottom of the barrel again? Not likely. I know how you Law Enforcement types work." He raised his brows at her. It took a lot of training, and then a lot of experience, to get anything resembling true respect amongst them types. Same in his own profession only Obliviators tended to be less rabid about it. "Besides, best stick with where your talents lie, right? I've got the knack for mind-altering charms no sweat, but I'm merely acceptable with most all else." And y'know, downplaying things, as she'd figure if she saw his file -both the public record one and the one requiring clearance sure made it clear he'd put in the hours. No point bragging about it though, that just made a bloke look like a tool.

He looked up at her again thoughtfully. "Well, its still impressive."

Emily grinned. "Of course, a pensieve review will be conducted upon their return..." cause if she wasn't able to stalk them, it was the next best thing. Even better really, "... and I'm itching to see how they go." It would be a learning curve, or so she hoped. Iron out the weaknesses, fortify their strengths, and ensure they'd be able to work as individuals and as a team, like a well oiled machine. She had high expectations. Clearly.

Taking a significant bite out of her sandwich, Emily nodded her understanding. Small fish... big pond... yeah. "Fair point, and you're officially my go-to guy for memory modifications, so all's not lost." Pausing briefly, Emily took her cup into her hand and sipped at her coffee, it wasn't exactly the best combination, but it would all end up in the same place, no harm done.

"Mmmm," she murmured at Rusty's compliment, "..thanks." She would have argued the fact that it wasn't all that impressive, that she was a opportunist, having taken advantage of Jax's absences by stepping into the leadership role, subsequently landing her the position semi-officially. It wasn't a done and dusted deal by any means, and she wouldn't rest until her position was secured, until she proved her competence. Cue coffee, again.

The blonde was reluctant to admit this, but this was probably the most well equipped workplace she'd had as of yet. It was close to home, the center of everyone's attention, and it sold coffee on the premises.

That really just takes the cake for her.

Sipping her drink silently, Meghan made her way to the seating area where she could see a few people milling around. She'd only been at the British Ministry for a week, yet she still found herself disappointed she knew no one here. Oh well - these things take time.

Elizabeth glanced around as she got to the seating area. She had a cup of tea and she was now looking for a place to sit when she looked at a lonely person. Eliza smiled and went over, "Hey, mind if I sit?" She gestured to an empty seat beside the lady. It was her job to greet the new people and help them adjust (being how she was a British Immigration Officer) and she looked new... and well, she liked meeting new people anyways so... 2 birds, 1 stone... right? Elizabeth hoped that the lady didnt mind her asking if she could sit with her.

She blinked. Well that didn't take long, did it?

Looking up at the older woman, Meghan had to admit that she did look vaguely familiar. Perhaps they had shared the elevators a couple times?

"Of course not," the blonde smiled, nodding towards the seat in question. She sipped her drink once more, reading the older woman quietly as she waited for her to speak. It would make little sense for them to sit in silence, yet she didn't want to seem assuming. It was one of her rules.

Elizabeth smiled and sat down, "Thanks." She sipped her tea for a few seconds, trying to figure out how to start... seeing if she was a talkative lady. Eliza finally spoke after the lady was staying at her for a little bit, "I'm Elizabeth or Eliza as some people call me." She held out her hand for a handshake, "I'm a British Immigration Office... and you?" She smiled at her. "I mean I seen you around the office a few times..."

Right, names first.

"Meghan, it's nice to meet you," she shook Elizabeth's hand with a practiced grip and a large smile. The amount of times she'd shaken hands was insane.

Oh, hey! "Yeah, we're in the same department!" the blonde exclaimed, looking rather apologetic. "I must apologise for my rather antisocial behaviour ever since I got here, I've been trying to organise the workload first so that I won't drown in it during the coming months. You're in the immigration office, you must know how difficult it is to stay ahead of everything when there's a sudden peak in activity," Megan inclined her head at Elizabeth, knowing rather well the job description for immigration officers. They worked very, very hard and that's just for starters.
