A private refuge for the ghosts of Hogwarts, the doors were enchanted last term to curse any living beings who try to enter. There is a large, empty, fireplace, plenty of comfortable chairs and an assortment of ghostly delicacies on a table in a dark corner.

Professor Airlia floats into the spirit room and sinks into her favorite chair. She sighed and tried to stop her mind from lingering on what Marcella had said to her in the Great Hall.

Professor Airlia sank back into her black leather couch after coming back from The Lobby. All this talk of death and states of being, though inevitable under the current circumstances, were nonetheless, begining to wear thin. If she had to answer any more questions about death or what happens after it, she was either going to fade away or end up throwing some sort of fit. All she wanted right now was some peace and quiet; time to relax and regain some strength.

Rowena gulped, wondering exactly what the curses entails.

"Oh, my. I hope I won't be legally welcome any time soon."

She lowered her head and hurried away to the great hall.

Mrs. Weasley walks by the Lobby and notices the Ravenclaw first year in a state of panic. She tries to calm her down and find out what has happened to get her so upset. "The curse," she says laughing to herself, "Professor Airlia is usually kind to firsts years and doesn't curse them the first time they accidently enter the main room, but I wouldn't do it again if I were you. Professor Riddle is not so understanding. She has been known to place a curse on the entrance that will cause all of your hair to fall out and that happened when she was in a good mood. You don't want to catch her in a bad mood. She's been known to turn students into ferrets," Mrs. Weasley tells the first year with a smile on her face.
"You'd better go before Professor Airlia returns."

Samea quickly and quietly swoops up behind the first year Rowena 'gooses' her making her jump with fear.

"Ah Hahahahahaha! Poor 'ittle furst 'ear....all lost and in danger of losing 'er 'air! Hahahahahahaha!"

She then swoops around the room and disappears into one of the walls!

Kris looked up as the fleshly students invaded her personal space and was quite relieved to see the resident poltergeist taking care of things for her. But, the time quickly came for the staff meeting and she slowly rose up through the floors in order to attend.

Professor Riddle smirked as she saw Samea scare away a first year but reflected that in her current state of mind, it might've been nice to relieve herself from a little stress by cursing the rule-breaker. Slumping into a moulding chair, she blew over a floor bud with the words "I'm sorry" engraved in the pollen.

Back from her journey down to Hogsmeade, Kris decides to head straight to the Spirit Room. She was positively drained from being among so many living. And, though it doesn't harm a ghost, she was sick of being walked through without so much as a "Pardon me." More often, than not, she was afforded a glare, instead.

She sighed as she settled onto the couch but, had to smile when she noticed the message on the floor. "And how have you been making out, Marcella?" she asked, not really knowing if the young ghost was there or not but, not minding if she was talking to an empty room.

Spots heard the request from the Headmaster to meet him in the room that only the ghosts could access, he wanted to speak with them privately.

Spots entered through the fireplace into the room to hear Professor Airlia addressing the floor. "Am I interupting?" he asked in jest not understanding why she was talking to Marcella when even he could not see her. Then he noticed the message on the floor, "oh......is she here?"

Kris laughed. "I don't even know. I just arrived and found the note upon the floor. I couldn't think who else might've put it there," she said, smiling up at the Gryffindor Ghost. "I'm glad to see you here and no, you aren't interrupting. Here for the meeting? Or, were you looking for some peace and quiet, as well?"

The Headmaster entered the Spirit Room, having successfully avoided the curses placed upon it to deter other fleshy beings. Looking around, he sees Professor Airlia and Professor Puppington which reminds him of something...

"Ah Spots, or Professor Puppington.....I have been in contact with the Ministry and they have agreed to bestow upon you the title of Knighthood if you so choose. I have explained to them the events that lead to your untimely death and they agree with me that bestowing Knighthood to you would be in order. If you would like, I can make everything 'official' during the evening meal one day this week in the Great Hall. Nothing else would change here, you will still be responcible for your duties as Flight Instructor and Quidditch Official....but your title would become Sir Puppington. Let me know what you decide.

Now, the reason I have asked to meet with you all here. Each of you have your specific reasons for wanting or not wanting to proceed. I ask that each of you make use of your special abilities to help keep watch over the castle. Obviously you all have access to certain areas of the castle that others do not. Please do not let your convictions interfere with the job at hand. When the time comes, everything will fall into place, of that I am certain."

Samea swoops into to the Main room, not knowing who is present...

"AHHHHHHHHH! WEEEEEEEEE! Oops! Sorry your Headmastership....didn't see you there....am I interupting or can anyone join the party?"

"Ah....Samea...no you are not interupting....in fact, I might be in need of your assistance this term...however not at the present moment. I would ask that you please keep an eye on the students as only you can..."

he said with a wink of his eye.

"....as only I can...." she said in a sing-song voice. This was like giving her a free hall pass, a get out of the dungeon free card! She was elated and quickly disapeared through the ceiling!

Spots was a bit embarrassed by the words of the Headmaster, he had held conversations with him before but never had he, himself been the topic of their words.

"It would be an honor Headmaster," he said, "as long as it doesn't distract from the task at hand." He was of course refferring to the Potion and protecting it's secrecy and those who had chosen to take it. "Of course I will keep an eye out for anything out of place."

He looked over to the Potion's Professor, "again even though I have reservations about the morals involved, I would offer my assistance in being present while the Potion is being brewed so as to understand it better."

"Of course," Kris said. "And while Marcella may take offence at those who have different viewpoints, there's no need to tiptoe around it with me, Theodore... Or should I say Sir Puppington?"

She grinned at the Gryffindor Ghost. "I take no issue with those who believe the potion should no be brewed and I understand your viewpoint."

Spots blushed again at being addressed by the Potions Professor as "Sir", this would have to a take a bit of getting used to. "Yes I know that I can express my opinions to you Professor without offending your own, and I apprieciate that. Please let me know how I may be of assistance and I'll do my best, the last thing we need, if this potion thing is actually going to work, is to have something happen while it's being assembled and brewed." Spots let the thought linger as he had a feeling that there was plenty that could go wrong with the potion including sabotage......

"I'm new but i've seen you in the corridors and people have told me aboutyou. They say say your really nice."

Professor Airlia turned to see a student just inside the doorway to the Main Room. She shook her head, sadly because Marcella wasn't here to witness the girl turning blue as her hair began to squirm. It seemed as though the girl was having some sort of strange reaction to the transfiguration of her hair to worms. "Sorry dear, but, we don't allow living beings in here. Except the Headmaster, of course," she said, nodding toward Kobus. "I think you'd better go see Nurse Lotus. I'm sure she'll be able to turn hair and skin back to normal. Though, I must say, the worms do go well with your blue complexion."

"Very well then....Sir Puppington," the Headmaster said with a grin. "I don't have anything else to add here except please express my concerns to the rest of the school spirits and please have them come to me if they have any concerns or if they notice anything.....out of the ordinary."

HM Hendrik nodded at the two and quietly left the Spirit Room....he had an appointment and he didn't want to be late.

As she zipped into the room, as the Headmaster was talking, she mentally slapped Kristi and hissed, "I don't take offence at differences in opinion. Just when people insinuate that my beliefs mean I'm evil. You know how sensitive I am about that subject."

She ruffled her hair and fell through the floor laughing when a student entered and had her hair turn to worms and complexion to the colour blue.

At the end of her chuckle she sighed, "I really am gunna miss that sort of thing when we're alive again. Oh and Headmaster, I promise to help 'ward' the school in any way I can. You'll be glad to know that nothing went wrong when I took my class down to the Forbidden Forest."

She spun around on her tiptoes and halted when she saw Spots. "And congratulations, Sir Spotty. Really. Well done." she grinned and flicked out her fingers, daisies shooting from the ends of them.

Spots' embarassaed face turned even more colored (if possible for a ghost) as he broke into deep fits of laughter as he watched the new student realize their mistake. He did hope that she at least took Professor Airlia's advice and head straight to the Hospital Wing. He turned to the other two ghosts, "And she said I was nice.....too bad," he chuckled again.

"Why thank you Marcella," Spots said, while watching the young ghost produce beautiful flowers from the ends of her fingers.

Then turning back towards the two ghosts he added in a much more serious tone, "so I guess that's it huh, no turning back now......" He looked away towards the window but was really looking beyond, "I want the two of you to know......I really do hope the best for you....I want you to know that, not that my approval is needed obvioulsy, but I just feel I needed to say that."

Something creeped its way onto her face, something that could only be interpretted to be a smile. She nodded her head and added, "That's really nice to know because, well I'd hate for this to cause a rift between us and even when we're alive again, we have to stay friends."

Hovering over to the entrance, she pouted and sighed, "I do wish more students would come by. I could do with a laugh."
