 Way back behind the many bookshelves and bookcases a cozy area has been created for any Hogwarts student interested in his or her reading. It's a big comfy area with clusters of armchairs and tables surrounding magical reading lamps which give off different levels of light all appropriate for reading. The clusters are perfect for study groups or group projects.
Here and there a few lone armchairs and tables can be found for a student to enjoy some solitary reading, and a number of comfy sofas for any who wants to stretch out and put their feet up. Just, make sure they aren't muddy!
A soft glow of light is present throughout the area with more magical reading lamps in each possible reading space. Be sure to keep your voices down and respect those students who wish to read in quiet.
No food or drink is allowed in the study area!

He had so much to do. Soooooo much. Jaemin zoomed his way into the library, selected a few books off the shelves, and zooooooomed his way to the study tables to spread the books out. His hair was grey today, a much better colour than his recent runs through green and pink and the bright white-blond, but... still not brown. Not the colour he wanted it to be. He'd given it a few weeks now, and he was getting tired of not being able to make the colour-changing charm work. So he was going to go through all these books and find some stuff to make it work.
Somehow.
The small boy plopped himself down in a chair and opened the first book, flipping from page to page and scanning each quickly to find what he was looking for. |

It was fair to say that Katherine spent more time here than anywhere else. She even had her own corner and sometimes left her books here - which nobody touched. Today was no different, and she had come here to study..........
Noise.
Katherine turned her head quickly to the source of the noise and studied the Slytherin boy - Jaemin - for a moment. She had two options:
1. Tell him to stop it.
2. Ask him what he was looking for and deal with it quickly.
She checked her watch. She... had time to help him, for 10 minutes. Yeah. If it wasn't solved until then, she was telling him to go search the books somewhere else.
"Hi, Jaemin Song?" she asked as she got up from where she had been sitting and walked over to him. She knew his name, of course, but she didn't want him to think she was a stalker. "I'm Katherine Moss, we've never met before even though I always see you at classes." Same year and all. "I think you're looking for something and I thought that maybe I can help you." Hmm?

Huh what?
Jaemin lifted his head a bit to look at the girl when she said his name. Katherine Moss. He knew that name from classes as well, and he gave her a light nod in greeting, blinking at her. He was so not used to people actually approaching him and interrupting his research. Mostly because he usually did it like... in his dorm, or sitting out of the way in a hall somewhere.
"I know who you are," he said offhandedly, biting his lip and absently reaching to tug on his hair. "I'm ah... I'm looking for theory, really. I'm having trouble with making a charm work, even though I keep trying it every single day..."
So he wasn't really sure if she could... help him. It was more just finding some theory stuff, and then trial and error.

Oh, he knew. Good to know he wasn't one of those careless people who didn't follow class attendance. She smiled before he began explaining what he was looking for.
...? And? "Is it... a private research? I mean, maybe I know what you're looking for." If it WAS private, it was pretty stupid to look for it at a LIBRARY in OPEN, just saying. Katherine didn't care either case, she just wanted him to be quiet.

Azura must find book.. Pretty song needs book, Azura wants to please pretty song!
The teen lumbered around the library, trying to find the one book that the song needed, but so far she wasn't having any luck, she had practically taken down all the books she could reach in the Labyrinth and was now lurching over to the study area to see if it was hiding here..
"Boookkkk.. Azura find you!" The teen said in her sing song voice as she titled her head a little and giggled..
"Come Book.. Come to Azzy.." She tilted her head a little more and lumbered around, stopping to search through various books and throwing them behind her when they weren't the ones she wanted. | |

Fiyero sat at one of the tables, his arithmancy notes scattered on one of the tables while his textbook lay open in front of him. He skimmed a few lines, but the information wasn't sinking in. His mind was elsewhere. He would rather be visiting Dash in the owlery or outside taking pictures of the giant squid or really anywhere else but here!
He sighed quietly, holding his textbook in front of his eyes to force himself to pay attention to it. Why was he having such a hard time understanding this? It's just numbers!

She had been going at it for almost an hour and had assembled quite an impressive collection of books to study. When at last she thought she had enough she turned and headed for the study tables. As she walked she flipped one of the books open (on concussions) and began reading.
So unfocused on her surroundings was she that she didn't even notice that she was walking right into one of the tables - until it was too late!
BUMP! Her knees bumped into the table, causing her to tumble forward and for her books to fall into the table she had fallen into.
"Sorry!" she gasped as she realized that there was a student at the table. | |

Fiyero was poring over his book when something suddenly bumped the table. A stack of books hit the table with a THUD, and his notes flew off the table, scattering on the floor around him. "Hey, watch it!" he said angrily, bending over to grab his notes without even looking to see who'd bumped the table.
He looked up and immediately recognized the intruder. It was that Ravenclaw girl from Professor Myers's office, the one he accompanied to the hospital wing. He was glad to see her feeling better and, well, not acting like a zombie. "Oh, Hi, Kitty," he said, giving her a small smile. Then he noticed the book in her hands. "Is that a good book you're reading?" At least it couldn't be more boring than Arithmancy!

Besides, he was offering to help her with something much more important than points.

Anyway, I was going to ask him if he could help me save it, but he was busy with you."
He paused for a minute to give Kitty a chance to absorb this information before he continued, "As soon as I told him what happened, he panicked and went to check his greenhouses. He told me to take you to the hospital wing, and I bribed you with the thorns from my plant to get you to come with me. When we got there, we had to wait for the healer, and you got a bit..." What was the word he should use? "Impatient."
"I knew you'd leave as soon as you had the thorns, so I didn't give them to you all at once and you got really angry." He ran a hand through his hair. "For what it's worth, I'm really sorry I lied to you about those thorns. I just couldn't think of anything else to keep you in the hospital wing."
Fiyero decided to take a break before he told her the part about Professor Newton coming in and the other zombie students. This was probably going to be a lot for her to take in, and she might have questions about what he'd already told her. He looked nervously back at Kitty. Was he going to be angry with him again when she learned he lied to her? He hoped not... he wasn't sure how he'd handle that!

He couldn't blame Kitty at all for being surprised at his story. In fact she was a lot calmer than he thought she'd be. He didn't think he'd take the news anywhere near as well as she was if somebody told him he'd been poking around looking for thorns and acting like an angry zombie! He decided to give her some time for the shock to wear off and waited until she asked him what happened next to go on.
"Anyway, Professor Newton came in with Azura,; Fiyero continued, "and Mr. Kittridge was there with Hadley Denaker. Then Professor Yoon and one of the Slytherin prefects brought a Hufflepuff boy - apparently whatever was making you act... you know, all zombified, affected other students too."
He paused for a minute before going on, "So Professor Newton gave you and the others some kind of potion-" What was it called again? Some long E-word... "I think he said it was an electrolyte solution - and I gave you some more thorns to get you to drink it. Then he sent everybody back to their dormitories."
He thought for a minute, trying to figure out why Kitty stayed a zombie do much longer than the others. ]B]"Everyone else went back to normal pretty soon after drinking the potion, but you didn't come around until Charms class,;[/B] he said. "I'm not sure why... maybe the potion had a delayed effect on you?" That was his best guess.
