Once inside Moxley's office, it becomes abundantly clear that she likes to collect things. Her many shelves are full of interesting and sometimes odd muggle items, ranging from rubber ducks to record players and everything in between. It's a lot to take in at once but knowing your professor, she'll encourage you to take a look around while she fixes you a cup of tea.
Once you've finally taken a seat, your eyes might travel to the large framed photos of the important people in Moxley's life, ones strategically placed here and there on the wall directly behind her desk. The largest photo being one of her and her husband during a night on the town, a representation of who she is truly is. Carefree, confident, and completely content, Professor Moxley is one happy woman.
Yes, this room is a reflection of everything Moxley loves and by inviting you in, she's agreeing to share just a bit of herself with you. You're welcome.

Professor Moxley was dusting as one does when they have a wide variety of junk muggle treasures stock piled in their office. She had opted to do it the muggle way, as feather dusters really were the most amusing things, but the result meant lots of sneezing. Not the little dainty sneezes one might expect to find in a delicate creature such as Meredith Moxley, either. Oh no. These sneezes were the type that built up and up and up until they finally came out, loud and mighty and certainly heard by anyone even close to Moxley's waiting room.
Deciding she'd put her nose through enough torture for the moment, the brunette set the duster back on the shelf with the other muggle cleaning tools and headed for her door. Maybe she'd go and bother Leo for a bit. He was always good for a-Oh.
Standing in her doorway, the muggle studies professor regarded the Ravenclaw curiously. She had asked him to stop by, hadn't she? Well, she supposed bothering Leo could wait.
"Mr. Prince, thanks for coming. Why don't you come in?" She motioned with her hand and then stepped back inside her office, quickly grabbing her wand to clear some of the remaining dust from the air.
He had heard the sneezes. Of course he had. In fact, Daxton was wondering if there would be anyone in the castle, grounds, or surrounding villages who had not heard them. The first had made him jolt in surprise, dropping the book he had found on the little table in the waiting area, and stare towards the office door in mild alarm. But he was not an idiot, and he figured out what the noise was almost instantly. But the more they kept coming, the more they began to grate on his nerves. He left the book on the table; reading would not be happening.
So Daxton simply stood there instead, waiting for the sneezing to stop and feeling tempted to just leave. He had, after all, stopped by the office, and that was all he had been asked to do.
But then the sneezing stopped, and then Moxley was there at the door, looking right at him and inviting him inside. Daxton looked dubious for a moment, uncertain about entering a room with a woman with such explosive sneezes, but he did eventually follow her inside.
And immediately sneezed himself. Much quieter, mind you, but it made him immediately suspicious. He looked up to give Moxley a stare that said as much, but before he could do so, Daxton noticed the many collections of things in the room. And there were so very many.
He stared for a moment, stood quite still in the doorway as his eyes roves around the room and he tried to take everything in. Then, without waiting for invitation, Daxton headed directly across to one of the shelves to inspect the items it held.

He was well aware that the professor still lingered nearby, but kept his eyes firmly on the little yellow duck as he turned it over in his fingers. He had seen one before, of course, having grown up 'muggle', but never actually held one, as they were frankly quite pointless and completely unnecessary, even if you did have a lot of money to spare (and Daxton's family did not).

"Tell me why you left my class." Sounded a bit demanding so she added a smile and refrained from grabbing the duck back. He looked ust a little too interested in it.

To Daxton, it seemed a little excessive, and perhaps that was why he was looking so closely at the rubber duck he still held, to see what was so special about it. What was so special about any of them, as a matter of fact.
The second attempt at asking worked much better on Daxton. He glanced at Moxley, then dug through his school bag, still holding onto the rubber duck. After withdrawing his notebook and a regular non-magical biro, Daxton flipped to a fresh page and wrote out an answer. 'It was too loud and I hate bowling. And I did not want to work with anyone.'
He held up the notebook so she could read it, but Daxton's attention was already back to the rubber ducks. With the hand that still held the first duck, he picked up a second and inspected that too.

He'd have to miss out on her lessons and her lessons were some of the best! "Though if you're interested in the subject, I suppose I could work out a way for you to explore the topics on your own."
Oh wait, she'd need to be direct if she wanted an answer out of this one, yes?
"Would you like me to work out a way for you to earn points outside of class?"

Partner work. Gross. Daxton gave a minuscule scrunch of the nose at that news, and if he had not already been relatively certain that he was not likely to return to the class, that went and fully convinced him. Not that it mattered all that much; the main reason he had attempted the class in the first place was to see how exactly witches and wizards tried to learn about the normal world, and, of course, because he thought it might have been amusing if anyone got the anything spectacularly wrong. Admittedly, there were also many parts of the normal world that even he did not have any first hand experience of, but the likelihood was that he would not care about them anyway.
So when he responded next, it was with a shake of the head. Daxton did not look at Moxley, engrossed as he was with the ducks, but eventually put them both back on the shelf and focus instead on writing out another reply in his notebook. When he was done he turned it around to show her again.
'No. I do not care about points, they make no sense. I already know about non-magical things.'

Daxton merely nodded in response, slipping his notebook back into his school bag and glancing after the professor, only to see that she had simply sat down at her desk. He turned his attention back to the things in the office, and moved about the perimeter of the room, inspecting the shelves, picking up one or two objects at a time and peering closely at each of them. There was a lot in here, enough that he might have been able to keep looking for hours and hours, and still not manage to look at everything.
Even though Moxley was no longer standing right by him, practically breathing down his next, Daxton was hyperaware of her presence in the room, and kept stealing furtive glances at her, to see if she was still watching him. Every time he did so, the Ravenclaw would spot more items that begged his attention, but he continued his organised method of sweeping the room, steadily making his way around the office, and the many things the woman had hoarded collected.
