Directly below the Great Hall is the Hogwarts kitchen, complete with five tables identical to and directly below those of the Great Hall. Numerous house elves have returned and are busily working, always working, on the castle's next meal. They're surely willing to serve you a snack though, if you ask politely enough.
OOC: Please do not RP for the House Elves! We have a lovely group of actual elves who would love to RP with you if you will please be patient.

So far she had only managed to turn one thing red, and she was already famished. A growing girl needs to eat. Pointing your wand and crying out spells would take a lot out of you. Probably the stairs was what got her. Should have planned this whole red color changing thing out better. This was AJ though. Since when did she go about things the smart way?
"Food." Not really known for her patience, AJ looked around to see what she could snag. Waiting on a house elf was just not going to work for her at the moment. Was that a cookie she saw in the distance? Most likely it belonged to someone. An even better bet was that AJ didn't care. She needed noms in her mouth like yesterday. The fourth year shoved the cookie into her mouth and made a mental note to ask a elf to replace it before she left.
What to turn red? A crooked smile played across her face. Noo... she couldn't. Or could she? This type of spell did work on humans. Surely a elf would have the same effect? A red house elf. Now THAT would be funny.
Seeing as there weren't any readily available, she pointed her wand at a leg on one of the tables. "Colovaria." One red leg. It looked pretty snazzy. Catman would have probably been more impressed if she did the whole table. She however was NOT a Ravenclaw and one cookie wasn't going to give her enough energy for that one.

Grrr! No smile as yet. Adi couldn't believe that Beverly had actually managed to evade smiling at least at his goofiness AGAIN. Easy on him? He snorted. "I don't need anyone to go easy on me. I'm tough!'' The Hufflepuff flexed his arms. He hadn't let his developed muscles go even though he hadn't done much cricket lately.
"I feel sorry for the persons who sneak up on you.'' But she wouldn't harm him. Nope. "Especially if you have a spoon.'' With a wink, Adi added the ingredients to a table then added, ''Ice cream is one of my favourites and you gave me none so this is fair.'' With a smirk, he turned to get bowls and stuff, out of the corner of his eyes noting the familiar black cat stretching. MERLIN! Quigley had been lurking about! Was that even hygienic? You know, having a cat in the Kitchen? O__O
Never the less, Adi grinned at his Professor. "Hiya, Professor. Had a nice nap?'' Quigley was busy though. Busy with food. Who could blame him? The sixth year watched as half a glass of milk was placed in Beverly's hand before turning to grab a bowl. When he looked back at the other two, Catman was heading out. "Byeee!''
So, back to Bev. "What topping do you like, anyway?'' Oh, hey! Catman had left his milk. ''Professor!'' Too late! The man was gone! "Looks like he left you a little present, Bevvy.''
She was good at concealing smiles...most of the times. It was fun when it came to Adi, though, because he knew it was their little game and didn't get butt hurt when he received no smiles. "Tough, are you?" She raised and eyebrow and reached over, pinching his biceps between her fingers. "Ohh. You've been hiding these!" How dare he, hehe.
"I would too. They'd end up at the hospital wing for days." Solemn nod. True story. Ice cream is one of his favorites...oops? "How about we make a trade after the pizza is ready--"
. . . . ????
There was suddenly a glass of milk in her hand, and a Professor Quigley. "Hello, sir..." She watched him as he reached for whatever he was looking for while she was forced to be kind. This was new. Not taking her eyes off him she waved her spoon as he left. "Bye...."
What about the milk?
She glanced back at Adi. "Well. I do like gifts. Do you think he drank from it?" What an odd day. "I like pepperoni. Extra pepperoni."
This was bad. So so bad. The third year was never like this. Early was her thing and is she was ever running late it wasn't this bad. Angel would probably want to strangle her by the time she showed up...if her friend was still even there that is. She wouldn't blame her one bit if she was long gone already.
Slipping into the kitchen Hady swept her gaze over everything quickly searching for her friend, a deep realized breath gushing from her lips when she spotted her. Rushing over Hady patted her on the shoulder. "Hey, I'm so sorry... I have no clue what happened. I'm never late like this..." she rushed out all at once moving to stand in front of Angel as she spoke. All she knew was one minute it was early and she had been thinking about a bunch of stuff and the next second she had glanced at the time and saw she was incredibly late and rushed right down.
Hady studied the older girls face checking to see just how made she was at her for making her wait so long.
Angel had just thought about making a cake whilst she waited, or making herself some juice, well actually seeing if a house elf would since she had a funny feeling the house elves wouldn't want her messing around with anything in their kitchen.
"It's okay." Angel giggled as she looked around the room. "It happens to me expecially when I'm thinking about..." Angel stopped and blushed. "No I don't think you need to know that Hady." Angel looked back at the table and poured herself a glass of juice before she drank some of it. "So what do we do now?" Angel suddenly asked, hoping her friend knew she wasn't mad at her.

"VERY tough.'' Emphasis on the 'very'. Hehe. Adi might be a tough one on the outside but he was really a big, over sensitive guy at times. Oi, Bev! Who told you that you could touch these precious things? LOL! He kidded. "I had to. I knew you'd be after them... prodding and poking them.'' He grinned so that Bev would know that he was joking with her.
The Hufflepuff did not doubt for one second that the person Bev attacked with a spoon would end up in the Hospital Wing. But now he snorted. "Riiiiight. By the time I'm done here, you would already wolfed down all of that ice cream.''
About the milk... "He might have. I doubt he would have gotten himself half a glass.'' So, nope. Bev should not be drinking that. Anywhooo, onto making the dough! Adi did his best to remember what Hadley had thought them back in that particular Muggle studies class. If he recalled correctly, Angel had made a very weird pizza with some unlikely combination of toppings. "Pepperoni, huh? I'll be sure to put as little as possible just for you.'' As if! He'd put a ton for his friend.

Angel had just thought about making a cake whilst she waited, or making herself some juice, well actually seeing if a house elf would since she had a funny feeling the house elves wouldn't want her messing around with anything in their kitchen.

Angel looked back at the table and poured herself a glass of juice before she drank some of it. "So what do we do now?" Angel suddenly asked, hoping her friend knew she wasn't mad at her.
Her friend was laughing and then...blushing? At least she didn't appear to be upset that she was late. Hady grinned as she listened to Angel tell her that she easily became distracted sometimes too. The older girl trailed off though changing her mind on what she wanted to say. Hady didn't mind though and her friend needed not to continue she thought she understood well enough what was being said. "It's fine, I'm just glad you understand."
As for what to do now... "Uh well I guess we find a house elf or two? Tell them that we have permission and ask them if they'd be able to help with refreshments?" It sounded like a good start to her. But then something came to mind and Hady frowned a little. "Though it would probably help if we knew when we wanted to do this sleepover and how many girls were going to be there...."

Details. It was all about the details.
Angel was totally enjoying herself even if she had made a fool of herself in front of her friend. "We're all late sometimes, it's no big deal." Angel said truthfully she had been late loads of times.
Angel then heard what her friend said. "Well I best invite my sisters or they would kill me obviously." Angel said truthfully. "And our closest friends, we don't want like 100 people turning up because it would be so crazy." Angel didn't think she could cope with that. "And we should do with a couple of prefects in case anything goes wrong.
Leah wanted to run around the kitchens and try all the food, but she also did not want to get the house elves angry by ruining their work, so she stuffed her hands in her pockets and tried to stop herself from being hungry. It was getting increasingly difficult by every snack she passed. Ugh.
Then she heard a voice from nearby. The Fifth Year turned towards the girl who spoke up and was surprised to find that the question was addressed to her. "No, are you?" She knew the kitchens like her own home - she had spent lots of free time here in her time at Hogwarts.
Timmy raised an eyebrow. How can one get lost in the kitchens? Was that even possible? She didn't think so. The girl finished her water and walked over to grab an apple from the bowl nearby. "Nah, I'm here a lot with my best friend. He's a Hufflepuff, like you. But you were walking around a lot and seemed confused. Are you waiting for something to happen?" She asked her, taking a bite out of the apple. "I'm Timila, or Timmy," The blonde smiled. "I live up on one of those towers and I'm surprised my legs haven't fallen off yet," Timmy laughed a bit, with a shrug.

Beezley wore a sad, sad face as she walked through the kitchen. The dusting rag in her hand drug limply across the floor as she made her way around. "Beezley has tried to clean up, she has," she said to herself. "Beezley has tried to clean up, but castle won't stay clean." The little elf sadly dropped her dusting rag into a bin before picking up a broom and sweeping. "Beezley has tried to clean up, she has...," she said again.

Leah could see that the girl doubted the fact that one could get lost in the kitchens. She had to agree - the room was huge but there wasn't much in here except food and food and foood. She grabbed another cookie and took a bite.
"Hmmm, that's interesting. My best friend is a Gryffindor. Who is your Hufflepuff friend?" She said and licked her lips. "I was - exploring. Exciting things do happen in the kitchens, like... being attacked by Peeves with eggs?" Which was not as bad as it sounded. Apparently eggs were good for your hair. "Nice to meet you Timmy, I am Leah. I'm glad your legs did not fall off and I hope they never will." The brunette grinned back.

Hady smiled giving a nod of her head knowingly. Sure people were sometimes late it did happen and she knew that however she wasn't one that it normally happened to. Oh well what's done is done and at least Angel was still here and not angry with her.
As she listened to her friend explain whom should probably be invited she had no choice but to agree with what was said. The older girl made a very good point. This was only going to be their first slumber party so keeping it smallish would be for the best. "Yeah, I totally agree with inviting your sisters, we can't go and have one of the planners killed off before the party," she teased playfully laughing softly. "As for closest friends well um I can do that after I say no to my bestest being we can't have boys to this one..so um what about Lux she's awesome...and um Eden as well?" Those were the first two that came to mind as she had spoken to them both recently. There were many others she could list as well....Brooklyn, Dot, Kate had been a sweet girl as well...
Surely they'd be making some sort of list or something so she wasn't to worried about it at the moment.
Botros came out of the common room where he'd shared some cookies with some firsties and got spiderweb in his snack. Spiderweb! Not just that, complaints have been made about those fragile webs in the corners of some classrooms and corridors around the castle.
So Botros made his way over to the kitchen. His cane made that clinking sound it usually did on the stony floor, but it wasn't a threatening kind of sound, he wasn't upset with the house-elves. All he wanted to do was see what kept them too busy from cleaning the way they usually did.

Schmoops did drag Schmoops' self into the kitchen and flop on the floor. So much cleanings. So many webs. And always back again. Schmoopses armsies were tired tired tired. So Schmoops would just sleep on the floor. Yes. Yes Schmoops would...
That is, until Schmoopses saw the big big Deputy Headmaster.
Scrambling up, the elf stood in front of the man. Elfsies were in trouble, Schmoops knew. Elfsies tried to clean, elfsies DID.

Her cheeks brightened a soft rosy pink at his next comment, but only because she DID like prodding and poking biceps. Well, Jeremiah's. "It's a shame, really," she said, playing it off cool, knowing he was joking by that grin of his. "They're worth prodding and poking." Poke poke poke.
Okay. He wasn't wrong. Damn. "Not allll of it. Besides, you don't want this one. It's already melting." Would downgrading the ice cream convince him. She wanted both, pizza and ice cream. She was even being nice about it.
Eyeing the glass of milk, Beverly set it down carefully as if it'd explode if she didn't. No need to share Quigley's germs. You know, in case there was a zombie virus going around and he didn't know he was infected. Precautions.
Little as possible? "But pizza is nothing without lots of pepperoni." Did he know that? Because it was a proven fact. Somewhere. It was.
...? "Ah there you are, dear!" Botros hurried over to where the house-elf was sweeping. "Are the others here as well?" It was best if they were all here and heard him out once and for all.
Hearing somebody behind her, Beezley cowered just a little bit before turning around. "Beezley is so sorry, Master. Beezley did not see Master behind her," she said. The elf stored the broom in the corner then held out a towel for Botros to wipe his face with. She was just about to help him find some other elves, when two of them showed up.
Beezley looked back at Botros. "What can Beezley help you with?" she asked him. "Beezley will try to do the best she can. She will." Beezley just hoped it had nothing to do with cobwebs. Beezley and the other elves had tried, they had. Beezley didn't know what else to do.
Argyle was most upset with herself today, as he had been for most other days this term. She had been trying so hard, so very hard, to clean those cobwebs away from the school, but they just kept coming back. She felt like a failure as a house elf, no matter what she tried to do. Every time she found more cobwebs
So when she heard the voice of the old Professor Botros, Argyle hurried out to the main kitchen, her great elf eyes already shining with tears.
"Professor Botros sir," she greeted the man, sinking low into a curtsy, though her voice trembled as it was only too clear why he must be here. "We's been trying to clean, honestly we has." OH, but where were her manners? The house elf hurried over to get a chair and bring it right to the Deputy Headmaster for him to sit and rest. "Can Argyle get Professor Botros a drink? A snack?"
Schmoops did drag Schmoops' self into the kitchen and flop on the floor. So much cleanings. So many webs. And always back again. Schmoopses armsies were tired tired tired. So Schmoops would just sleep on the floor. Yes. Yes Schmoops would...

Okay okay, whoa, everybody was here at the same time and they looked heartbreakingly hardworking and sad and scared. Botros leaned on the counter behind him and gestured with his hands for them to calm down and stop what they were doing to listen to him. "No, no, thanks. I don't need anything, thank you." Ahem, so precious those creatures, Ab just wanted to hug them all.
"I know, I know. You're all good elves, you've been at this school for generations but--" he cleared his throat, feeling a little sad that he had to do this. Why didn't Annie just stroll down here and gave them one of HER natural lectures?? Why did he have to do it?? "--everybody's been.. complaining.. cobwebs are found almost everywhere, guys, we--you need to try and clean faster..." Or something? He scratched his bald head. "Classrooms. Dorms. Those are the priorities, alright? And the offices. The entire school, actually. Please, please be sure to rid us of all those dirty cobwebs. That is your job," he added gently with a small smile.

Awh, look at Bevvy being all pink! Adi couldn't help but laugh a little. It had to be his comment about prodding and poking biceps. Her poor boyfriend. He must have to go through this all the time. And she was STILL poking him. LOL! "I suppose I've now become your new poking bag.'' Punching bag, poking bag... Hehe.
Adi squinted at Bev. "You just don't want to share, Bevvy.'' He threw her a smirk. There! He had called her by THAT name. But he peered at the delicious treat. Truly, the thing was melting. "I'll let you off the hook this time around then.''
...............
Goody, goody, GOODY! Beverly wasn't drinking the milk. Maaaybe Quigley hadn't drunk any but had just set it up so that he could play a prank on a student. One could never tell with the Professors sometimes.
Anywayyyyyy, the dough was done! All the flattening, tossing and whatever it took to make it round. Next, came the toppings. Pepperoni came first. LOADS and LOADS of it. "Is that enough or do you reckon it needs more?'' Adi pondered to Bev. He added sauce and cheese. Om nom nom. This was going to be one of the best pizzas EAVAAH!
Toddles walks intos Kitchens. Todddles hears elfsies haven't been doing there duties. Toddles been cleanings. Tinka can speaks for Toddles. Toddles has been cleanings common rooms and bedrooms. Quirly wants to keep Hogwarts clean, but it is hard. She is glad that she is not being punished. Quirly has punished herself for being a bad house elf. Yes, she has.
"Quirly sorry, master! She will try harder to clean up the dusts and cobbywebs." Theys keep coming back. Quirly doesn't know what to do. She gets very tired from the cleaning of Hogwarts for Masters and Mistresses.
Tinka had been good elfsy cleaning up but now Tinka be back in kitchens and Professor Botros was there. Tinka shook her head, this be bad bad bad. Professor Botros looked serious! She clung to her favorite whisk in her distress.
"Tinka be so sorry, Sir! Tinka tries to clean better now, sir!" The little elf hung her head in shame. Then the poor elf took her whisk and hit her head over and over again. "Tinka be bad"HIT"bad"HIT"BAD!"HIT.
Ohhhh no, oh no, oh no, Masters is mad at the house elves, yes he is! But Nimma does all the cleaning and even MORE than normal and no efforts is good enough! Nimma has lets the school downs!
"Nimma is sorries," the little elf cries and wrings her tiny elf hands. "Nimma cleans every day and every night and all the times and Nimma goes backs to the same spots every day to clean all over again! Nimma does a good jobs, yes she does!" Master didn't think they were doing a good jobs but yes they was, they was!
"But Nimma tries to do better, Master! Nimma will dos better!" Nimma blows her nose on her rag.

Oh Merlin. Oh dear Ordin. Botros waved his hand quickly at Tinka. "No, no, no, that's not necessary really." to hit herself with the whisk, oh the rest were crying and squeaking. Ugh, his heart couldn't take this torment where the heck was Annie??
Schmoop seemed to be the most coherent of them all, though, up until he went and hit his head TOO. "Nonono I forgive y--" ugh. It was no good, they were going to punish themselves over and over again because of this small friendly lecture Abraham planned. "Okay, you say they keep coming back? That fast?" He paused. "Did any of you notice anything odd then? Do they appear in specific places? Did you catch any bugs?" Or kill? Hmm? They must've had an infestation of sorts in the castle, this was not normal anymore.
