A sign encouraging you to knock before entering is attached to the wooden door of Professor Tiara Tanner's office. Once you have received permission to enter, you will notice a sparsely decorated office. A clean, organized desk will meet your view, with two rickety chairs for visitors. A small bookshelf is the only other piece of furniture to be found in the room, and titles such as Flying with the Cannons, Quidditch Through the Ages, Numerology and Grammatica, or Sound Teaching Principles in an Unsound World are shelved next to a broomstick servicing kit. Leaning against the wall nearby is a Firebolt in pristine condition. The only decoration to speak of on the walls is a moving photograph of the professor herself with her husband, Jason, in front of the pyramids in Giza.
If you wish to speak with Professor Tanner, she would be more than happy to see you. Whether you have an academic, social, or flying problem, Tiara is known for her sound advice and calm demeanor.
So, Gregoire had to apologize to Austin no doubt. Also, there was no way this could be the only punishment that the Professor would give. Unless, for some odd reason, she was feeling generous, maybe? Highly unlikely, but since it was the beginning of the year, she would most likely be a bit more forgiving now than she would at the end of the year. In most instances that was the case. That was also that case at a lot of muggle schools. Muggles could be a bit strange sometimes in their ways though.
Taking a deep breath, the Slytherin turned his piercing, icy blue eyed stare at BOTH of the Ravenclaws. Gregoire HAD to be the bigger man here and apologize to the both of them because...well...he just did. Steeling back his emotions which was about to turn into a mess, the Snake took a moment before he spoke to think You can't cry here, not in front of all these Professors. You just can't. After that short little prep talk to himself Gregoire began to speak "I'm sorry you guys. For everything I done at the feast. For not leaving you guys alone when you said. For trying to continue on with the same thing after it was obvious you guys didn't want me to. And mainly...for spoiling your start of term feast. The day when you two are supposed to be happy to be back at Hogwarts and happy to see your friends again."
It was evident by his gaze, Gregoire was getting teary on the inside, but he wasn't letting it out. Also, by the way he was moving his hands it was also evident that he wanted to squeeze them hard in sadness, but he couldn't because of the cuts on his hands. They may just be small little things, but they burned like all get out if you touched them.

So far so good. Neither Anastasia, Leobald, or Cecelia had seen reason to intervene. Tiara was striving to treat the students from both houses fairly and equally, but she knew that it was highly unlikely all four of the adults in the room would completely agree on anything, much less how to hand out punishments.
She was pleased to note how seriously both of the boys were taking their apologies, though she had yet to hear from Ophelia. It appeared that in Austin's case, while he addressed Gregoire, he had a double meaning as far as Ophelia went. He kept casting sidelong glances at the girl. And as for the Slytherin, Tiara found it odd that he would not apologize for the physical violence he was a part of.
"Right. I expect you to carry that civility towards each other throughout the rest of the term." The last thing any of them wanted was the start of an ongoing feud here. "You will each receive detention, and you're lucky it's not more." It helped that neither of them had much of a track record to speak of. "Information about the date and time of your detention will be sent to you once it has been decided."
"Do any of the adults in the room have anything to add? If not, the gentlemen will be free to go."
Leo straightened up as Tiara finished assigning due punishment to the two boys. When called on he took a step closer to the center to be able to direct his words to the boys. "The only thing I'd like to add is that I advice you both to think twice before you act or even speak. Be smart. You are very lucky this just ended in some cuts and bruises. It could have been a whole lot worse."
If Cece and Annie didn't have anything else to add could Leo go to the library and start his day among books?

Cecelia just stood there listening to what was going on. These students were so lucky she wasn't the one handing out the punishments here. There would be none of this forced apologizing to each other. Seriously, what good is that? Making a student say something they obviously don't mean is not going to prevent them from acting like blithering fools later down the road. If anything it would make them resent each other even more. For now though Cece would hold her tongue. She would have her say soon enough.
And now it was the time.
Crossing her arms over her chest, she glared at both the boys. "Don't think for one second that you have me fooled with those insincere apologies." This wasn't the first time she had heard hogwash come out of a students mouth. Looking only at Gregoire now she let him have it. "If I so much as hear one little whispered comment about you stepping out of line the rest of this term, you will regret ever getting sorted into Slytherin. I will make whatever detention Professor Tanner gives you look like a fun walk in the park." Stepping closer to the boy she continued. "This sort of behavior will not be tolerated under my watch. Do I make myself clear?" She was not playing around here. None of this dancing around the students telling them to act civil or take someones advice. No, she was telling him how it would be if he stepped out of line again.

She was not surprised by the reactions of either Head of House. Leobald was easygoing; Cecelia was not. Therefore Leobald merely assented to his partner's dealings; Cecelia had to have her own say. Though really, Tiara had absolutely no problem with Cece getting her say in. This whole episode had its origins with her student, after all.
"Thank you, Healer Murdoch. I might echo similar sentiments to the students from my own house." Though she would not have put it in quite such... intense terms. "You are free to leave."
Was she free? The boys were at least. Ophelia jumped up from her uncomfortable seat and fanned her uniform over her sweaty tummy. Realizing now that she was hungry after the entire ordeal, the blonde decided to go to the Great Hall and eat while the boys served their detention. Maybe she'd hide some cheese in her pockets for them when they got out. But then ther was the issue of getting into more trouble for smuggling food. WAIT! The candy stash she kept in her bag last year that she forgot to take out. It would be slightly gross, but no worse than not eating. And candy was like the international language of 'please be my friend again'.
"Thank you for hearing my story. Sorry for having to come here." She pushed the messy blonde ponytail behind her ear and smiled gratefully. "Never coming here again." PAUSE. "Not that you guys aren't great... For authority figures, anyway, but I'm not getting in trouble again! I have apologies to go do, thank you for your time. " And wiping any tears that may have fallen from her grey-blue eyes, Ophelia grabbed her backpack and smiled for what had to be the first time since the fight actually happened, making a plan to run up to the dorm and grab the bag of sticky candy from her bag.... That she totally didn't have.

And Anastasia was in between the two Heads of House. Obviously those apologies were forced and faked, but the sentiment is what counted, and also the feeling of humiliation that came with being forced to apology for something you weren't really sorry about. Ah, good old humiliation, that familiar feeling everyone needed to experience....
"I'll see you all later, in my office," she murmured to the adults, rising from her seat with Tiara's dismissal and sweeping out the door, even as the smallest Ravenclaw started tearing up. Ugh, tears. Sure, her office was just down the hall but she would hate to wait on these children.

Tiara nodded to the Headmistress as she exited. There was no sense in bidding her goodbye, however. They were about to have another meeting together, after all. But this time, Tiara would just be a bystander.
Then she turned back to Ophelia. "I appreciate your apology and more so your resolve to stay away from trouble. You are free to go."
She looked over to Cecelia and Leo. Obviously they could leave whenever they wanted. "I shall see you two again in a few minutes."
Leo nodded to the headmistress as she left the room. Glancing over at Tiara and Cece he said "Right, I'm going to go fetch Gabriel from the Ravenclaw Common Room. I'll see you both in a bit." With that Leo left Tiara's office. At least one meeting was over.

Down the spiral stairs, through the corridor, and finally to her office. Tiara unlocked it with a nonverbal spell (just to be safe). As she pushed the door open, she said, "Have at it, team!" and stepped out of the way. She very much hoped she wouldn't have much cause for this many students at once in her small, cramped space again any time soon. "Just.. try not to break too much, please," she said with a smile. Not that there was really very much to break around the room, it being fairly sparse, but the partially humorous warning couldn't hurt.

After lingering just a little longer to say goodbye to the cat, Toby had hurried after Tanner to follow her back to her own office. He remembered the interior of the office very vaguely, though he couldn't remember having visited before. Perhaps back when Hadley ruled worked from here?
"Don't break 'too much'?" the Hufflepuff repeated, just a tad confused. Did that mean she was allowing them to break a certain amount of things? Like a quota? ... Thinking about it, it was actually probably a joke, and as Toby wasn't really one for wanton destruction (or any destruction), it didn't really matter. "Think I'll play it safe and not break anything."
Toby still had his grey notebook out, and was spinning it around the pencil via its spiral binding as he looked around the room. His eyes lingered on the Firebolt and he felt a pang in his chest. Toby still brought his own broom to school every year, in the hopes that they might be allowed to fly again, but so far it just stayed in his trunk. He missed being able to fly every day.
Right then... getting started. Toby managed to drag his gaze away from the broom and got his notebook ready, flipping it over to a new page and starting a rough attempt and sketching out the layout of the room. He found it pretty difficult, if he was honest, being that the maps were from a birds-eye view and he was standing IN the room, but he still tried his best, though his fingers drummed the underside of the notebook and foot tapped the floor in a sort of fidgety distraction.

Adi followed Professor Tanner to her office. Don't break too much? Did that mean they got to break stuff? O__O Oh look! Tobias was apparently think along the same lines as he was. "I think I agree with Tobias,'' the fifth year commented on the matter about not breaking anything. It might be a trap or something Tanner was setting. Hehe.
He waited patiently for the others to file for them to get a move on with the continuation of the meeting. This beat studying anytime which was actually what he was supposed to be doing. Yup.

Following the others to Professor Tanner's office, Lux was a little confused about being told not to break too much. Maybe it was a joke, and in that case the Professor was silly. Yep, she would be like Toby and Adi in trying not to break anything.
Smiling at the two Hufflepuff boys and the Professor, Lux waited for the others to join them. This was going to be so much fun.
Kace finally made it to Tanner's office and he never been here before. He looked around and noticed she had lots of trinkets. He grinned and noted that he shouldn't touch anything. He would respect it but they all seem soo cool. He even heard Toby and Adi his fellow puffs mentioning not to break anything. "Yeah noted I won't touch anything but jeez it is kind of small in here Professor Tanner.." he said trying not to move too much.
He was still looking around and waited for others to join the group.

Well, if she was being honest, Tanner's office was a little boring. But no one asked, so she didn't offer that opinion vocally. Evie was glad they had the smaller group, though. It would have been a little too cramped if they had more people. And it was cramped already.
Evie carefully manuevered her way between her classmates as she sketched the office in her notebook. She also took the time to look at the few decorations she had. "Professor, did you used to play quidditch?" Because she had a firebolt and that wasn't just a casual flying broom.
KACE! She had tried to silently catch up to him earlier by basically running down the spinning escalator – not a smart move. She wheezed slightly and swayed where she stood as she made her way over to Kace. “Ni-nice office Professor Tanner,” she grinned as she made her way over to where Kace was. “H-hi…can I use you as a pillow? Stand? Thing to lean on for a bit? I’m so dizzy” she muttered and leaned against her friend casually as if it wasn’t even a big deal at all.

Tiara was slightly amused at the group she had. It was mostly Hufflepuffs, with only one student from her own house. Then again, there had been more Hufflepuffs total. Perhaps they were especially good finders?
But not especially good at figuring out jokes. "Joke, dears. Of course you're not going to break anything," she said with a laugh.

She turned to Kace. "Touch something if you'd like, I'm not that worried about it. Not much in here is all that valuable." And frankly, it would be unwise to keep precious valuables in a room accessible to a thousand teenagers. "As for the size, I'm perfectly happy with it. I don't really need a lot more for anything."

Ah, leave it to first years to ask uncomfortable questions. Tiara sighed slightly. "Not exactly. I was a referee for professional quidditch for several years, but I did play whilst here at Hogwarts." Given Anastasia's moratorium on anything even close to flying, she decided it probably wasn't the best idea to mention she'd been the quidditch official at Hogwarts as well. Best to steer the conversation away from dangerous topics. "How is your sketch coming?"

Oh dear, this one seemed off. Tiara ignored the comment about the office and went over to her. "Are you alright, dear? Please, sit down and recover yourself." The professor pulled out a seat and directed her towards it. "I hear putting your head down between your knees could help."
She checked her watch. "But honestly, I'd wrap it up quickly, everyone. We need to get moving. The Headmistress is taking her group to a very exciting venue that I doubt you want to miss." Because half of them really could not have been there before if they were rules followers. "So get your last sketch in and follow me!"
He nodded, smiling, scratching at his temple with the flat end of his pencil; apparently his humour detector was a little off at the moment. Perhaps no great surprise. Maybe he'd broken his funny bone.
Toby kept sketching out the layout of the room as best he could, though he really did lack the proper skill for all this. He kept an ear open to the other conversations in the room though, like Tanner's response to Evie (and how much she didn't reveal), and then whatever was happening with Puck. The Hufflepuff was concerned, but knew to mind his own business because she seemed well-looked after.
He'd already done all he could do by the time Tanner called for them to move on, though, and gladly followed her own of the office to this exciting new mystery destination.

Kace nodded towards the Professor and didn't feel like touching anything that wasn't his. He shrugged and just admired them. They weren't valuable to her? He found that hard to believe. He heard the Professor was moving on so he needed to finish his sketch quick. He began to do a little sketch of the small room with all the valuables. He got his sketchbook out and pencil and began to scurry and do a scrap sketch. It wasn't the best but it got the point across. He even made a few details about it being small and compact.
Once he was finished, he put his sketchbook away and began to walk towards the next location. He wondered where they were going? This club was getting more interesting by the second.
Tiara was slightly amused at the group she had. It was mostly Hufflepuffs, with only one student from her own house. Then again, there had been more Hufflepuffs total. Perhaps they were especially good finders?

Professor Tanner was nice that was the only thing to describe it. “Thank you Professor,” she nodded and took few deep breaths really it wasn’t that big of an issue just the escalator thing was weird. She did do as the Professor said of course and took a seat for a moment until it was time to leave.
She sketched the room as she sat and once finished and back to normal she stood up and followed the Professor and other students out of the room. Hello they were going to have fun on this level weren’t they? She was sure of it!
