You arrive back at the barnyard for a lesson with Creatures. Expecting signs instead you are greeted with Professor Thompson's presence. He just so happens to be right by the open doors leaning against the wall with his arms folded as he waited, occasionally chewing on the tomato in his hand. Despite the chilly conditions it was looking quite nice out today as you wait on the lesson to begin.

"Good isn't it?" He scratched around the top of its head through its hair. Despite its untamed look, it felt quite soft as it cooed relaxingly.
His head then turned as he heard a question from one of the younger students. Ah.. Of course. He was expecting this question from the younger ones since they weren't around during the vocal concerns about it. No matter. "Not at all. As long as the caster's intentions are true and golden in merely befriending them, the spell will be more likely to work. If I were to suddenly want to send the Porlock over into the Forbidden forest into potential danger for example, the spell would cease immediately." Now was it necessary to do it instead of build it up? Sure, he had already mentioned this but it was pretty important to illiterate as he calmly went on."Unlike the dark Impervius curse, which is strictly on command, this charm is more mutual. Porlock's trust on us is conflicted with fear and as with any other phobia it can take ages to overcome that. Hence us using this spell today so we can show them how friendly we are without their hesitation." Did that seem to cover it? He only paused to see if she had any other questions regarding it, which he had no issue with answering.
Amur was dead quiet as she listened to the Professor's explanation. Dead quiet and dead serious. This was, after all, serious business. Anything meddling with free will was something that shouldn't be taken lightly. But as the Professor went on, Amur's fear whittled away. It wasn't so much messing with free will. It was just helping a seed of trust to grow.
That the spell would break if a request would cause harm, was the greatest source of relief to her. The Porlocks still had a choice in the matter, and the spell wouldn't betray them. To top it all off the spell couldn't be cast if there was poor intention behind it. It was such a relief to hear. That there were such safeguards in place.
She grinned broadly at the Professor in approval and high relief. "Thank you, Professor. That makes me feel a lot better." She bobbed her head twice. "And thank you for caring about the Porlocks so much."
She was sure there were teachers out there who would use other means to get their students up close and personal with wild, magical creatures. Especially ones so elusive. She liked Professor Thompson. The Porlock was wise to trust him.
Feeling much better about the task at hand, Amur let out a sigh and looked to her plethoria of shinny food. Next, bowling for Porlocks. Or almost. She didn't want to hit them, that was for sure. But she did want to make sure that they were happy and felt safe. She considered her options. She could make a trail of food leading to her, but that was a form of deception and luring. No, she didn't want to do that. The Professor had rolled the food out and then cast the spell. Easy peasy, right?
Still, as she picked up her first lemon and rolled it carefully along the grass towards one of the winged horses, she felt a knot of anxiety in her stomach. What if she did it all wrong, and scared the Porlock? That wouldn't be very good. No. She shook herself. She would do good. She wanted to show them that she was trustworthy. A Porlock friend would be wonderful.
Gathering up an apple and a tomato, Amur rolled them out to the same area as well. That way the Porlock could pick which one it liked, and maybe the horse could have one as well? There was more than enough to go around.
As she waited, Amur picked up the lemon she had first charmed and munched on it, watching the horse and the other students and their successes. Soooooo exciting!

Angel watched as Benny did the spell and she looked at one of her lemons. "Magic!!" Angel said totally still thinking about the silly mistake she had made. "Magnut?" Angel was totally unsure on what was going wrong here. "Benny? What am I doing wrong?" Angel was still too annoyed with herself she couldn't think of why the spell wasn't working. "I'm confused, thanks Benny." Angel giggled, yeah she was totally going to blame him for her mistakes.
"Uh huh...well the overall taste at least," Benny confirmed about the tomato. There was still the traditional skin and seeds and make-up of the red fruit. Speaking of red, Angel was certainly coloring as much she seemed to try and hide or ignoring it. So much so that she appeared to be confused about the spell they were supposed to be using. Magic? Magnut? Not even close other then starting with the same first three letters of the incantation.
"You are not saying the incantation."
He raised an eyebrow as she thanked him before catching the teasing tone in her voice. Uh uh...no blaming him. "Here...watch this..." Ben mused, taking out the last fruit that he had that hadn't been spelled yet. "The incantation is Magimus," the fifth year reminded his girlfriend as he readied himself to cast again.
"Magimus!" he spoke clearly, moving his wand tip in the circular motion around the tomato. Cue sparkly effected red object in his hand.

Angel just looked at her boyfriend. "This is all your fault!" Angel sighed as she looked at him, yeah she was totally blaming him. "Oh yeah that was the spell, thanks." Angel thought about calling him cutie to try and make him blush but she decided to be nice to him.
Angel looked at the Lemon she had with her. "Magimus!" Angel did the wand movement on the first fruit and she smiled as it worked and the fruit sparkled. "You like sweet things right?" Angel decided that he could test the fruit since it was his fault she had got it wrong, okay so it wasn't but shh she wasn't going to let him know that.
"Magimus!" Angel did the wand movement again and smiled as it work a second time, well the apple had done what the Professor had said it would, it was now sparkling. "What do we do next?" Angel smiled.

Now that he had three shiny fruits and hopefully they were sweetened up too... He had to approach the Porlocks, right? He made his way over to one Winged Horse duo that was sort of isolated from the rest before rolling one of his fruits towards it. There. Now he'd just sit here and wait, yeah? Or maybe... Maybe it'd be better if he rolled two over? That'd definitely catch it's attention.
Right. Two. Then he'd save one incase the spell went wonky and that was smart thinking. Probably Ravenclaw material thinking, even. Heh. Zander Adair was doing the Creatures thing ALL right. Mhm.
He watched the creatures carefully as he rolled the second fruit over and OH OH OH! A Porlock!! It was approaching and that meant it was working, which meant he did the spells right which meant YEAH! Heh. Zander Adair taking on the world, one correct spell at a time. See, it may have been a real work in progress to get to this point. But the most important part was that his marks really were improving and Professor Flamsteed wasn't even just saying that to.. To say that?
Maybe OWLs would be alright after all? Anyways. PORLOCK WATCH.

She really wasn't all that surprised that she hadn't got it on the first try because she wasn't very good at this kind of stuff, mostly because she felt like she was under pressure. The fifth year didn't like the feeling of being under pressure from having to do something that she really didn't know how to do in a certain amount of time for a class. Normally she would have froze up but not this time. That was always a good sign.
Emmylou watched as Kace did the spell again. Not too long later it was her turn again. Well she was happy that he got more lemons because she felt like she would screw up again but then again Kace might want to feed the Porlock too.
She took the lemon and walked over towards the Porlock, she slowly rolled the lemon towards the cute little animal. As she watched the Porlock sniff and take a bite out of the lemon she smiled. "Animalis Fidelis." She said smoothly. Emmylou jumped up and down when it worked!
Kace saw Emmy preform the charm again and knew she had this. This was his girl he was talking about. He grinned and saw her give the sweet lemon to the winged horses. He nodded and approved. "Great job Emmy...it seems that the horse likes you." He grinned and wished he could pet it but something told him it wasn't a good idea. Now his turn to feed the horses. He grabbed the extra lemon and began to do the spell.
He was becoming a pro at this spell. He began to say "Magimus!" and did the wand movement and saw the sparkles on the fruit. He successfully mastered that spell. Now onto feeding the horse. He took a deep breath and pointed his wand at the expected Porlock coming to Emmy and Kace. He said, "Animalis Fidelis!" and it worked. The porlock came up and was eating the lemon right out of his hand. He felt his little nose tickle his hand. Awww these guys were soo cute. "Look Emms..." he said laughing at the tickling sensation the creature was giving on his hand from his snout.

Bleu grabbed 3 lemons from the fruit pile. She was so excited to play with these little creatures. They seemed so sweet once you got them to trust you. She grabbed the first lemon, waved her wand in a circle around it while saying, "Magimus." The lemon immediately became crystallized. She grabbed her second lemon, waved her wand and said "Magimus." It also became crystallized. She then grabbed her last lemon, waved her wand and said "Magimus." Now all three of her lemons were crystallized and super sweet for the Porlocks to enjoy.
Now was the harder part. She had to roll the lemons into the winged horses without hitting them so that a Porlock would take notice. She grabbed her first lemon and gently rolled it. It landed next to a horse. She was very glad it hadn't hit the horse...she didn't want the Porlocks to get upset...or the professor for that matter. She took a deep breath and grabbed her second lemon. She gently rolled it close to the first lemon, seeing that a Porlock was taking notice of the first lemon. She grabbed her third lemon and gently rolled it next to the first two. The Porlock seemed really interested now.
SPOILER!!: assignment
- Take at least three fruit. Charm them with Magimus to sweeten them.
- Roll the fruits, individually or all at once keeping a certain distance and making sure not to hit the Winged Horses.
- Keep still without moving, once you see a horse approach the fruit(s) get ready to use the Animal Friendship charm on the expected Porlock.
- Use Animalis Fidelis on the Porlock. If you miss, just send another fruit and try again as they'll come back for more.
- Interact (pet, talk, etc) with them when they approach you.

Benny was slightly bemused by her behavior towards him with the class. He just hoped it didn't get them into trouble. "Nu uh..." he said with a chuckle at Angel as she blamed him again. She could think it all she wanted but it wasn't true. But Benny could take the thanks for helping her remember the spell. "You're welcome," he said, watching her as she worked on it with her own set of fruits so they could move onto the next step in this little activity.
"That's good," he complimented her as her first fruit changed in the way that was desired, offering encouragement. He shook his head at the sweet question. "Not particularly." He certainly didn't want another bite of the magicked fruits. The porlocks could have all that sweetness.
"Next...we try to attract a porlock by rolling a fruit near one of the horses." To demonstrate, Benny slowly moved just a little closer before stopping a decent distance away and gingerly rolling towards the nearest winged creature. Not quite as fast as gobstones but hoping for some inherent accuracy.

Angel giggled as she looked at Benny. "It totally was your fault." Angel lied, she knew it wasn't but she was just teasing him at the minute and she hoped he wasn't going to get mad at her because she was totally happy about things and now she had a few things to do.
Angel watched to see what Benny did and she smiled, she was sure that she could do that. "I can do that." Angel said as she moved over to Benny and she looked at the fruit in her hand before she rolled it towards a group of winged horses but for some reason she accidently hit Benny's fruit making them both move a lot. "O______________________o." Angel looked at Benny. "Look at what your fruit, just did." Angel sighed, okay so it was totally her fault but she wasn't going to let Benny know that.
"Sorry." Angel decided that she would admit this mistake, she didn't want Benny mad at her. "What do we do next?" Angel looked at both the fruit that were near the creatures.
With the porlock close enough for her to touch now, Margo reached out her hand."Awww, Herman, you're so cute!" Margo told her new friend. She moved even closer to Herman. She wanted to put him in her lap and picked him up! She loved it!! She was having good time.
Margo had one last apple left and gave it to Herman. "Here you go Herman!" Margo said smiling and petting him on the head.

He simply shook his head in outright denile this time rather than continue on with Angel's remarks about fault. Knowing the younger Gryffindor it could likely continue for a long time unless she was distracted and surely interacting with the creatures might be a good way of doing that. Benny himself was looking forward to it and even noticed as their fellow classmates were already having some luck in that department.
Switching his attention back to Angel as she spoke up again, he watched as her fruit dropped to the ground and rolled, pushing his own fruit with it in the end. "It got hit by its fellow fruit," he remarked with a soft chuckle before waving off her apology. Both of their fruit was still near the winged horses and now all they had to do was wait.
"We wait..." Benny answered, doing his best to keep in one place and not making and sudden moves as he watched the area. His now free hand was slipped in his pocket with his wand to be ready to cast the friendly spell. "See anything?"

Collection of sweetened fruits in her lap, Brooklyn turned her eyes to the enclosure. To the winged horses, who were just sitting there munching away on grass and who knew what else, while everyone was stealing their porlocks away. Her eyes narrowed at that, only because it meant that maybe she couldn’t get one for her own. At least, hypothetically. She doubted Professor Thompson would let them keep the porlocks they befriended, but it was an interesting thought. In case her aunt really did have horses at her house, she could bring her porlock friend there.
Anyway, she stood up, collecting the magicked fruits in her arms as she moved closer to the horses. She wasn’t about to try and roll them from where she’d been sitting before. The less work the better. Once she got relatively close, she leaned over to roll the lemon. Once that had stopped near a small group of winged horses, she let the tomato and two of the apples follow. She’d keep the last apple for if a porlock decided to approach her. A special gift always helped keep a person trusting them after all.

Bleu waited very patiently for a winged horse to notice her lemons. She knew she had to be very still and quiet. She had to be a statue, which was slightly difficult but she knew she could do it.
Finally, a winged horse noticed her lemons. She grinned with delight and watched as it picked up the first lemon in its mouth. She moved slowly, as to not startle the horses, to grab her wand and ready herself to use the Animal Friendship charm.

Angel stuck her tongue out at him quickly hoping that the Professor wouldn't see him because she didn't want to get into trouble.
Angel watched as Benny sorted things out and told her that she had to wait about. "I don't like waiting." Angel pouted, but she didn't mind standing next to Benny and watching to see what happened next. "Oh look." Angel smiled as she saw something moving towards them and Benny had his wand out already, she did as well but she wasn't sure if they both needed to do the spell or not, and anyway she was going to let Benny do the spell first... that way she couldn't go wrong.

Now that all but the last apple were rolled out to the horses, all that was left was for Brooklyn to wait. Either a horse would notice them, or a fuzzy little porlock would. Possibly both. She was going to get mad if nobody did, or if everyone else stole all the porlocks. It seemed like an awfully long time, but eventually she saw a gray horse turn toward the small collection of shiny fruits. At least it was something. She still hadn’t seen any porlocks aside from those being cooed over by the other students. It was annoying. She didn’t want to fail, or accidentally make a winged horse sick. It wasn’t their fault if they’d been abandoned.
Slowly, though, from around the side of the gray horse, a shaggy grayish brown creature appeared, creeping slowly toward the tomato lying there amongst the apples and the lemon. Brooklyn held her breath, waiting until it got close to picking a fruit up. Hopefully the porlock liked apples, since she still had the extra one near her feet. As it leaned down to inspect the tomato, she pulled her wand out. With a flick toward the porlock, she said “Animalis Fidelis,” hoping it worked. She didn’t want to be the only one who failed. A Slytherin didn’t fail. A queen didn’t fail. And, as she watched the spell fly toward the gray-brown porlock, she smiled a little as it hit. See? She wasn’t going to fail.

When Nigel finished eating his lemon, Janelle placed her hand on his back and resumed petting him. "You know Nigel, you're the cutest Porlock ever.". Even if today was the first day she'd ever seen one. She knew he was special. "You know what? Maybe I can come and visit you sometime and we can become even better friends". Janelle wished this could be so, but she didn't know if he would be friends with her without the charm in place. Well it wouldn't hurt to try and find out.
Just spending time with Nigel would be fun. Maybe Janelle could convince him of that. Now that she knew the spell for sweetening fruit, she could bring him treats......that is if Professor Thompson would allow it. She would have to check with him and see.

Bleu watched, wand at the ready, when finally a golden brown Porlock started sniffing at the lemons. She smirked slightly. This cute thing would be her friend. She wanted to cuddle it so bad. She pointed her wand at the Porlock and said, "Animalis Fidelis!" The spell hit the Porlock in it's tummy.
She waited a minute as the spell took over the creature. It looked over towards her. She smiled at it with her hand out, "I wont hurt you. I promise." She watched as it came slowly closer to her. She was so excited to cuddle it. She was even more excited that the spell had worked on her first try. She waited as the cute animal inched it's way closer to her.

Toby gathered up all the fruits he'd cast on that lesson, cradling them in his arms, and found his way back to his feet. All ready to go, over here. Ready to attempt to meet a Porlock or two or five. With the fruits all piled up in his arms, Toby headed back over towards the Winged Horses and picked a spot a little way down from where some of the other students had already rolled their fruits.
One by one, Toby took the fruit and rolled them carefully out across the grass, trying to get a good spread so as to entice more horses and, as a result, more Porlocks. When the final apple (he was using the one he'd practiced on too) finally rolled to a halt, Toby stayed crouched down with one knee on the ground, wand at the ready but not pointing out at anything yet, lest that make him look less trustworthy.

The porlock looked over at Brooklyn, locking eyes for a split second. At least, that was what she thought. It was kind of hard to know where the porlock’s eyes really were amongst all the hair. The mouth was easy enough to find, as the creature practically shoved the whole tomato into its mouth before following it with one of the apples. Okay, that was something she really hadn’t wanted to see. A porlock gorging itself on fruits, but if it worked to get it to trust her, she was okay with it. As long as the porlock didn’t turn around and think her hair looked yummy or something. Then all bets were off.
But the porlock hadn’t reached her yet, even though it had curiously started creeping its way toward her. She just stood there, watching as it kept coming and finally stopped in front of her, eyeing the apple still in her hand. Apparently there wasn’t any question of if her gift idea would work. “Good morning porlock,” she said, “This is for you.” She held the apple out, waiting until a tiny hand shot out to take it before just examining the creature in front of her, now cramming the new apple into its mouth. “I think I’ll name you Hullen,” she said slowly, reaching a hand out and lightly patting the porlock’s head, hearing a low hum come from the creature in question, as if it was pleased. Because the porlock worked with horses. She didn’t think the professor would mind them naming the porlocks, and it wasn’t like she couldn’t tell Hullen the porlock apart from the others.

Well this sounded simple enough. Though Tia was not going to be offering them any tomatoes because tomatoes were not fruit. And porlocks? Those things - creatures - were incredible. The fourth year just stood in awe as she watched the Professor petting it and even some of her classmates. But she wanted to pet her own Porlock.
Plucking a greenish apple, a yellow-red apple and a lemon from the basket, Tia stepped out of the way of her classmates and slowly but surely set each of the three fruit on the ground and held her wand steady. Moving it slowly around the first one, the fourth year muttered, "Magimus" for the first apple. A shimmer emitted from it and satisfied, Tia proceeded to cast the sweetening spell two more times. Magimus. Magimus.

It was working. The fruit thing was ACTUALLY WORKING?? And... He still had an extra one too, so uh maybe he'd just roll that out now? Just 'cause uh, what was he going to do with it anyways? Not like he'd want to eat it. Zander bent down just enough so that he could gently roll the apple in with the other fruit. There. Now there was a whole pile of them, shining nicely so that the Porlock would really want to get them. HEHE.
He waited patiently as the Porlock was suddenly a lot closer. Taking out his wand, he followed the instructions and quickly pointed right at the creature. "Animalis Fidelis!" AND the Porlock was really, REALLY approaching now!! This was GREAT news! It meant that he wasn't screwing up and man, this was great. Also why Zander loved creatures 'cause he could actually do this stuff, y'know!?
Ha. See, he wouldn't fail one of his OWLs, at least that was for sure.

If Eden McGee gave you a note, you best well read it. It probably contained VERY vital information, okay? And when he pushed it into his pocket, she wiggled her eyebrows at him. "Read. It." She said, giving him a VERY pointed look.
CUTTY MORDAUNT!
He wanted her to do it AGAIN? Well fine. She would. And she would stick her tongue at him afterwards. Because that would totally SHOW HIM. Eden took the lemon, and for good measure a sniff of it, and closed her eyes. She really liked the smell of lemon. Like..real, genuINE lemon. Ahhh. It smelled so fresh to her.
"Ahem." She held her wand properly and swirled it around the lemon..."Magimus-" she said, forcefully, and bam. It was shiny. Glittery and pretty and......no longer smelled like a lemon. How sad. Eden bit into it, the juices from the fruit kind of.....squirting out, and she wiped her mouth on her sleeve. "It's like eating straight sugar--" she said, making a...disgusted face. But hey..she got she spell down? Thanks to Mr. Mordaunt.
SIGH. Why was he amazing?
It wasn't quite icy, the look Cutty Mordaunt was throwing Eden McGee. It was something in the way of soft neutral. Like the naked palette of expressions, cause Cutty didn't wear make up. Yet. But maybe he should. H'mm... Something to think about. Anyway...
Was Eden commanding him to do something? Hee! That was funny!
"I'll read it when I'm good and ready. Or maybe I'll eat it lateh!". Because THAT toootally followed. I mean, if you're not going to read something then you might as well eat it as the old adage says.

Ah better quit wasting time. Holding the apple in one hand, the fourth year muttered Magimus, several times as she tried to get the enunciation correctly. Encircling the fruit with her wand, the Ravenclaw muttered "Magimus" and waited. And waited. And frowned. No sparks? Maybe it still got sweet though. Biting into the apple, Tia chewed thoughtfully. It was definitely sweeter than normal, but it didn't really taste extra sweet.
"Magimus" Tia cast again, drawing a circle around the apple once more. Maybe casting the spell twice would be more effective.
Cutty moved over with the rest of the class to pick out another fruit and begin the mass luring of the porlocks out of their social anxiety. He reached into the pile of fruits with a callous and selfish disregard for anyone else reaching for theirs as well. Maybe he did it on purpose, cause his skills were amazing. Except that they weren't at all.
"So, erhm...", He began at the girl (Tia). "Professor Thompson seems to have missed yer question, booht I believe that yer not likely to find a huge different in what edible fruit or veg yer cast the spell on. My guess is that, if anything, it'll be sweeter on fruit because of the inherent sweetness already present." Or by Professor Thompson's elaboration on what exactly the spell did and how it worked, that's what Cutty could surmise. He was going to ignore the fact that she thought tomatoes weren't a fruit for now mostly due to the fact that he was an arrogant piece of dragon manure. He was calling it gracious, though. But again, arrogant piece of...
The fifteen year old terd held up a bright yellow lemon. With his wand in his hand he circled the end of it around the circumference of the fruit and casted, "Magimus." He watched as the sparkles encircled the lemon like a little asteroid belt. Holding the fruit up close for inspection, he saw the evidence of his work as well as smelled it. Still not taking any chances, the boy carefully applied another charm, "Flippnsnipwitit!" slicing off a bit of the rind to release the scent and further attract a porlock.
It was exciting to see how well the others were doing. That the Porlocks were actually coming out from hiding and being social. That it wasn't just years of experience and skill that would yield results.
Amur turned her attention back to her little pile of food. One of the winged horses had moved a little bit closer, its dark eyes considering the food offering and the other students around. Amur's breath caught with a sudden pique of excitement, and worry.
Were the Porlocks paired with horses based on personality similarities? What happened if the horse that she bribed was skittish? Would the Porlock be skittish too? Would it then be doubly difficult for them to encourage a friendship. Amur worried her bottom lip as she tried to breathe as little as possible and to move even less.
She didn't want to startle either creature.
The horse had moved a little bit closer, and Amur found herself staring in awe at the size and beauty of the creature. She had always liked horses, but this was only her second time seeing the winged version. And her first seeing it so close and personal. She wanted to creep forward, to try to befriend the horse. Could it actually fly? Or was it like a penguin or chicken, where the wings were just for show? They didn't look like they were just for show. Could the horse carry a student, or even a Professor into the sky?
Amur tried to imagine what it would be like, flying among the clouds. Probably like riding a horse through a field, but less jarring. Would they get to try at some point in her Hogwarts career? Maybe in an older year? She certainly hoped so.
It was the sneeze-like sound that brought Amur back to what she was supposed to be doing. Her eyes dropped to the shaggy creature that stood in front of the horse's forelegs, one hand pushing a lemon into its mouth as the other gathered up the last apple. With a start, Amur realized that all the fruit she had put out was gone. How long had the Porlock been standing there, eating? How hungry was it? It hadn't even shared any with the still-curious horse.
Fumbling for her wand, Amur fished it out of her robes and aimed it at the Porlock. The Professor's words rang through her head. Golden intentions. Her wand lowered a little and she let out a sigh. Which meant that she couldn't cast it in a rush, fearing she would miss her opportunity. The spell likely wouldn't take. No, she had to be deliberate and honest. If the Porlock left, then she would just have to try again.
Settling her hands in her lap, Amur watched the creature munching away on the lemon. Her spell must have worked well in changing it to a treat, as she was sure she heard some sort of cooing sound coming from the creature. It was cute, in the way that shag-rugs, mop-dogs and cotton balls were cute. In it's own way. And they seemed to be friendly enough. She really did want to be it's friend. To show these Porlocks that she wasn't someone to be feared. That they all weren't something to be feared.
Her wand came up with calm resolve as the Porlock began munching on the second apple. "Animalis Fidelis."
For the first time ever, the spell was cast, hit target and was successful. The Porlock, still munching on its apple, began to amble on over.

Tia turned her head towards someone when she heard a voice. An older slytherin boy she recognized from classes. Not a huge difference between fruit or veg? So tomatoes were veg then ... "Well that makes sense, fruit does have more natural sugar in it than vegetables." Good she took two apples then. And the boy then did some fancy spell she never heard of which sounded a bit like gibberish, but it sliced off some of the lemon rind. "That second spell you did ... it slices?" She asked curiously, as she picked up one of her apples and tossed into the air slightly - caught it - and not really paying much attention rolled it in the direction of the winged horse.
.... except since she wasn't paying much attention, the apple rolled right into the leg of the winged horse. Oops.

Now they had to actually feed the animals? Oh jeez. THAT didn't sound difficult at ALL.
Grayson eyed the Porlocks way over there. Porlocks were alright, really. Didn't seem like they were gonna try to bite his fingers off. But trying to cat the spell to make him seem friendly? Lol. LOOOOOOL. Did Thompson know what he was like? Because there were many things that Grayson was good at but coming across as a friendly chap wasn't one of them. No thank you.
But it would be kinda sweet, wouldn't it? Charming the Porlocks to make them think that e was friendly and all. Using it for his own benefit, kinda. He half wondered whether this spell would work on humans as well, while he went to over to the basket grab a bunch of apples. A bunch being three or four. Bunch.
Heading back to his previous spot, the boy placed three of the apples in the pockets of his robes and held onto one. Sweeten this one first? Good idea. "Magimus!" he called, moving his wand around in that circular motion from before. This was kinda easier this time round, especially since the boy knew that he was able to do it once before. And he wasn't gonna check whether it had worked because let's face it: no one wanted to eat something that someone else had already bitten into. That was just a big no.
Besides, look at the way the apple was sparkling! No need to taste test.
Placing that one in another pocket, Grayson took out another apple and cast the "Magimus" charm on it as well. When THAT was all sparkly and whatnot, that went into the sparkly fruits pocket along with the first apple. Twice more he cast the spell -- or thrice more since the last apple, which was the largest, decided to be a difficult bugger -- until he had a pocketful of sparkly fruits with enough sparkle in them to light up the castle.
There was a Granian on the opposite side of the field from the one Professor Thompson had targeted, not so far from where Beverly stood. The goal was to not hit the winged horse, instead entice it with a sparkly, sweet apple so the porlock would come out and eat it, saving the day. In the process it would get Beverly her marks.
Taking one of the apples, she carefully rolled it so it'd approximately stop by the Granian's head, where it sniffed the grass. Surely, it caught the winged horse's attention. It didn't seem to think twice as it was about to snap at the apple, when, as if from thin air, a scruffy little thing waddled out from behind the Granian's legs. It quickly took the apple, cradling it to its chest.
As it regarded the fruit suspiciously, Beverly crept closer, minding her step and gripping her wand firmly. "Animalis Fidelis!" She flicked her wand at it, watching as it flopped, rolling to face her.
