| | | Herbology Lesson 2 At eight o'clock in the morning, the door to the Second Greenhouse is wide open. You step inside to find that the tables are set differently. Instead of being separately scattered around they are aligned next to each other forming one long table right in the center of the greenhouse. Wooden chairs are also lined on both sides of the tables next to each other. The Professor's table is no where to be seen. But he is standing right at the further end of the tables with his hands on the table and a few feet behind him is a blackboard.
Aside from the different arrangements of the tables you will notice another important thing; there is absolutely nothing on the tables. Look closely around you and you will also see that every other pot is covered and no plant is in sight. ooc: Lesson will not start for at least another 16 hours! Also, note that there certainly have been a number of lessons before this one.
Class has officially started. Do not post you character arriving late, act as if they've been here all the time
Please do NOT edit your answers OOC: Make sure you read the rules ^.^ Class Progression: Greetings and 1st Question Second Question First mini Activity Second Mini Activity (you still can catch up with this, please title your post so if you do) Final Activity End of Class |

Angel was totally enjoying herself and she was looking for plants that needed helping when she suddenly saw one that didn't seem right at all it looked like it wasn't getting much water and so Angel decided that she would change that.
Angel concentrated on the plant, she decided to put some fertiliser in the plant pot to make it better and the she used her wand. "Aguamenti!" Angel did the wand movement and smiled as the spell worked this was awesome and Angel was totally enjoying it. Quote:

Again they were going over something Lex was familiar with. This one may not have been as ingrained as diffindo but it didn't mean she wasn't good at it, in fact, it might have been two terms ago that Bentley had them use it but the years were starting to blend and mesh for her so she couldn't really be too sure about that. Anyway, the point was, she knew this one too...but just to humour the Professor so he wouldn't think she was being 'defiant', Lex drew Airey's wand and began making little mountains as he called them. "Herbivicus...Her-bi-vi-cus...Herbi-vicus."
Slopes, that's all she was really doing with her wand given how squiggly the wand movement happened to be. If you didn't know any better you'd think she was in deep concentration trying to get the spell...but then listening to her tone as she said the incantation and reading her body language, you would realize there was no such luck. "Herbivicus."
She already had this spell, okay?

| Post 2 elephant-astic•wanderlust•stay in the ninedaaays the original Taco Belle•look at the flowers✿ Moving ON. Maddie slipped away from the small plant she'd been working on, deciding to take a stroll around the room in search of a larger patient. It took her a few minutes and some navigating around classmates before she found one she wanted, one that looked like it could be salvaged. She wasn't going to TALK to THIS one, though. Not happening.
Yellow leaves. Slightly curled and crisp looking. Maddie recorded her findings in her log and then tapped her chin thoughtfully, eyes on the plant. This had probably gotten too much sun, yeah? So some water and a trim, as well as a new location, would probably do the plant some good. "Diffindo." Working carefully, the brunette started to remove the leaves that were no longer living. She was reminded of fall, the crunch of leaves underfoot as she walked along the pavement. She'd been with her dad that day, a rare occasion. Funny how something like a sick plant could bring back the memory. The second year was shaken from her reverie by someone nearby performing a spell and she focused once more, wanting to get this over with. "Diffindo." More careful cutting, meticulous so as not to cut TOO close to the stem. So far, so good. "Diffindo. Diffindo." PAUSE. "Diffindo." She circled the plant, continuing to cut. There were quite a few damaged leaves but given the size of the plant and the leaves that were left, Maddie was confident it could recover. "Aguamenti."
And then the plant was moved back slightly, away from the direct sunlight. Perhaps some shade would do it some good. A tag would do it some good too. Or do Maddie some good, at least. Credit was important. Quote: Maddie Cooper, Second year, Ravenclaw
Curled and crisp yellow leaves were cut off carefully. Then the plant was given water and moved out of the direct sunlight. Too much sun is good for no one.

So they WERE playing plant doctor. Heh, Lex figured as much and this time she really was tempted to give a disclaimer so the Professor wouldn't be too mad by the end results but nah, she'd go ahead and keep that to herself. He had eyes, he'd see soon enough. Shame they had to put their own names though. What if she accidentally hacked away at a poor defenseless plant and didn't think she wanted to take credit for that? The Professor should really have thought this through.
With a heavy sigh, she pushed away from her desk and went to go look for a plant to massacre heal. Doing so made her wish she'd gotten up sooner because most of this side of the room's plants were healed and tagged forcing her to walk to the other side of the greenhouse.
Ugh. The things she did for a good grade.
Lex trudged over there, dragging her feet somewhat before coming to a stop by a plant that looked all shrivelly and slanted.
Mmmm.....not having much of a solution for it, Lex just kinda...turned it...the next way...to counter the slant, you know, but just so it wouldn't look bad, she took aim. "Aguamenti." There. Fixed. At least....she thought it was. Quote:

Plant tilted toward the sun, turned it so it would grow straight I guess--did aguamenti too just in case it was just thirsty and taking a breather to the left.

Time for activity time, he needed to treat some plants. He saw some fellow students already taking care of some. He went over to the plant in the far right. He noticed the leaves were brittle and dying. He even noticed some fungus growth on it. Awww poor fella. Kace got his wand off and said, "Diffindo!" and then the growth was cut off. Hopefully it wouldn't grow back. He got some water for it and said, "Aguamenti!" and filled the soil with water. He even got some fertilizer since it didn't look it was growing with the others. He got some from the front of the room and sprinkled some on. He smiled and was glad he was saving this plants life.
He heard he needed to record and put his name next to it. He got his quill from his desk and wrote down his name and what he had done. Quote:

Good luck. That was something that went hand in hand with Adi. "Yup. Nothing but good things happen where you are concerned." He was her good luck charm, as she was always saying.
Now that one plant was saved, it was time to move on to the next one. She had to help as many plants as she could. She would most likely only save as many as she had to, to get credit.
Looking around she found one that looked like it had black spots, and some holes. Perhaps some bugs were using the plant as an all you can eat buffet. No worries. AJ had some pesticide spray and she knew how to use it.
Squirt. Squirt. She sprayed the plant all over, and even watered it too. Watering the plants was pretty much basic, but could make all the difference. Now that the plant was all doctored up, she slapped one of her already made name tags on it and updated her log. Quote:

Hopefully all her cases would be as simple as the first one just now because she didn't think she'd figure anything more complicated than that. Not by a long shot. Alexa was no plant expert. When a plant was broke, chances were it would stay broke...unless she vanished it then it would be broke and gone but she didn't think she'd have gotten away with doing that this time around so the Gryffindor pushed it from her mind.
Further along the table she spotted a plant that looked more yellow than green. Reaching out she felt the texture of the leaves and they were even more brittle than they looked. This was a sure sign the plant was thirsty and the Professor had cruelly kept it away from water just for the benefit of his class. Then he called himself a plant lover.
SHAME.
First things first was to remove the dead leaves that weren't doing the plant any good. "Diffindo." Another on this side... "Diffindo." It took a couple casts to get them all and there was one that was still green but slowly turning yellow. Surely that one couldn't be salvaged and she didn't want to waste her time on the assumption so... "Diffindo!"
Now here's where Lex became the plant's saviour because of the kindness within her heart. "Aguamenti." There there, drink up, no need to worry about the horrid Professor. Quote:

The plant was dying of thirst and had dried leaves that I took care of so yeah, it's watered and de-dead leaf-a-fied.

| Post 2 Made of Awesome | Ern-la the Best-wa | TZ's Apogee Another plant, another... Dot was very selective, skipping over the ones that looked ready to die and the ones that looked like maybe whatever they carried was likely to pass over to small ginger Slytherins. No weird plant diseases here, thanks. She finally spotted a plant that looked stunted and yellow and just sad. Not sick, but not well.
"Poooor baby plant. You come with Momma Dot, and sit next to Princess Sparklebottom." She set the plant next to her first project and gave it a quick check up. Pulse... none. Lung function... okay, none either. Blood pressure... probably dead. Reflexes... was that a bit of a breeze?
"A good Herbivitty-spell, and you'll perk up, I think," Dot whispered, turning over the leaves carefully to check for spots or fuzz or mold or bugs. None. Just an ickle sicky plant, that was all. "I've got the medicine for yooooou, lovey," she bustled across the greenhouse to retrieve some fertilizer for this plant, which she packed gently and lovingly into the pot.
"Now, the Herbivitty." Dot drew little mountains with her wand, pointing at her baby sicky plant, and she said the spell quite clearly, considering she'd said it wrong several times already. "Herbivicus." The stunted plant greened up nicely and seemed to unfold from itself. "And a very much needed Aguamenti."
She patted her little plant and pushed it back beside Princess Sparklebottom. They were just lovely. She was a master. Don't tell the prof, though, 'cause she didn't want to be advanced. "Oh, your leaaaaaaaves, darling. I'm so jealous of your leaves." And, oh! She needed a note. Quote:
This plant is called Lord Leavesdon of Rootshire. He was small and sad, but he's had water and fertilizer and Herbivitty. Tell him he's got pretty leaves, but don't touch!

With all the tact she could muster, the Gryffindor side stepped a plant that looked just about at death's doors. If there was nothing to be done then she wouldn't be wasting her time on it, just saying. Just LOOK at it, it'd only be a waste of magic then she had to scribble down that she'd attempted to work on that one too and you never know how the Professor would view her after that. Knowing him, he'd think she killed it herself and she most certainly did NOT.
Lex didn't stop going until she found one that looked almost normal. Almost normal meant minimum damage to repair and she was all for that right about now. Most likely, this one just needed some fertilizer and a bit of water. Easy as devouring a chocolate frog.
She walked back to get a handful of fertilizer then came back to pat it into the pot carefully. Lex made sure there was a little all over the plant's sick bed so it'd be better in no time. Good thing she'd remembered her dragonhide gloves this time.
She yanked them off (so as not to get dung on Airey's wand) then cast a quick, "Aguamenti!" to finish it off.
Nothing to it. Quote:

Fertilized it and gave it water because this is how you fix most plants anyway.

| Post 3 elephant-astic•wanderlust•stay in the ninedaaays the original Taco Belle•look at the flowers✿ It was harder to select a plant by this point. The names of her classmates lay claim to several pots in her area and Maddie stopped to look at each, confused to find that some had even named the plants. Interesting, that was. Maddie didn't like to name things as to prevent herself from getting attached and given the condition of the plants, she didn't think it was wise to get attached to THEM, even if they WERE being treated now. There was a small one, though. A very small plant in a very large pot. It was an awkward sight, like a child trying on their parents clothing for size. The brunette immediately wanted to help it. Make it bigger and stronger. She could too, thanks to a spell.
After recording her findings about the plant and the way she was going to help it, Maddie set her log aside and brought out her wand. She'd managed the spell a couple of times so it was still fresh in her mind, as was the movement. "Herbivicus." Three little mountains were drawn in the air and then came the light. The thirteen year old smiled slightly as the plant began to grow. "No one will underestimate you now." As it should be, not-so-little plant. "Aguamenti." Something to drink. Did growth spurts make you thirsty? Maddie watched as the water was observed, thinking about things that had little to do with Herbology, at least for a minute or two. It was only after that couple of minutes that she went for fertilizer.
Once it had been sprinkled on, Maddie carefully took a label and wrote down HER information, claiming the work as her own. Quote: Maddie Cooper, Second year, Ravenclaw
Tiny plant just needed a little boost to help it grow big and strong. A spell, some water, and a little fertilizer later and little plant isn't so little anymore.

| Post 1 ♥s her SS family | Wifey is MINE | Naughty Niffler | ❄ Bookish & Cat-Approved ❄ | Soodley ♥ Awesome, it was time for Lux to play doctor to some sick plants.
Jumping up from her seat, the Fourth Year noticed that while some looked to be close to deaths door, others seemed merely in need of some sunlight, water and/or trimming. Others, maybe fertilizer and some assistance with growth. These ones she could save, the others needed a miracle. Or Professor Bentley. In Lux's opinion, Bentley could do anything as far as plants were concerned.
Glancing among the sick plants, she made sure to avoid the ones who had already been helped and her eyes settled on one that looked more green than yellow. With her wand, she systematically cut off the icky looking leaves using Diffindo. Okay so maaaaybe she accidentally cut off a few of the healthy leaves as well, but it wasn't as if she was experienced in healing plants. After casting a glance to a busy looking Professor Walton, she patted her patient. "I'm sorry about that, but you are much better now." BEAM. All that was needed now was water and some sunlight.
Using Aguamenti, she fed the plant. Not too much though; Bentley had taught them that too much water wasn't good. Grabbing a nametag, she wrote her information on it: Quote: Lux Carrington
Fourth Year
Hufflepuff Sticking the label into the pot, she moved the plant to where it would get more sun. "There you go, you are all healed now." |

| Post 2 Napoleon of Crime - Gryffinclaw - ❄ Lunar Library Lurker ❄ - Owl Emissary - Pirate Auror On second thought, maybe he wasn't quite done with his first plant. The soil had been just a little dry when he added the fertilizer. So maybe a little water wouldn't hurt. "Aquamenti..." he cast, letting the water run for a brief time before ending the spell. There...that was better. Now it had nutrients AND fresh water and Benny had made extra sure not to overdo it and risk making the plant worse instead of better. Root rot would be one of those illnesses that may or may not have been mentioned earlier...his brain still wasn't fully clear.
At a final idea, Benny reached for the edges of the pot and twisted, shifting it and the plant inside in the process. He did that until the bend was towards him so the other side could get more sun. Maybe that was another reason it was bending. Satisfied with the new placement, he edited the tag to show the additional help he had given his speciman. His log would have to wait until later like his notes since he was still short parchment.
Oh well. He'd double check his plants sometime after class to make sure he had all the info then.

Ethan inspected each and every leaf of his plants, when Walton finally arrived. Oh good! His question, and suggestion will now get an answer. "Uh sir? Yes, I was wondering if I can move these two?" He asked as he pointed at Maxxi and Randall. "I reckon they'll be needing sunlight...I guess the fertilizer and pesticide isn't enough." Sun is important, right? It should energize any mundane or magical plant, according to their discussion.

| Post 2 ♥s her SS family | Wifey is MINE | Naughty Niffler | ❄ Bookish & Cat-Approved ❄ | Soodley ♥ it was curious to see from the labels that some of her classmates had not only played doctor to the sick plants, but had also NAMED them. It was rather cute in Lux's opinion though she had never considered doing it herself. It was nice enough in her eyes just to make them feel better.
The next plant Lux came across looked as if it had problems growing. It was rather small as if it was stuck in a rut. They had just learned a spell that would correct that, so now she would have another chance to use it in order to help make this plant healthier.
Using her wand, she made the three mountains in the air. "Herbivicus." She watched as the stem grew larger and more leaves sprouted. This was no dwarf plant anymore, but one that matched its healthy brothers and sisters. "There, now you are all better and look so pretty," she told the plant as she felt it's leaves. Going to get some fertilizer she added a bit before using Aguamenti to give the plant some water. After positioning the plant where it would get more sunlight, she wrote her information on another name tag and stuck it onto the pot. |

Jasmine was ready to work on her second plant. This was the one that was sitting next to the plant she had already healed. Plant number two had the dreaded yellow leaves so she knew exactly what to do. Jasmine suspected that it had been deprived of sunlight, but she was going to rectify the problem.
First Jasmine would tend to the leaves. Then she would make sure that the plant got plenty of sunlight. Setting the plant directly in front of her, she looked it over and tried to get an idea of which leaves needed to be trimmed. Once she had done that, Jasmine tried to concentrate on what she needed to do. She knew that she had to be very precise with her cutting and proper focus would be essential.
Taking her wand, Jasmine focused on the first yellow leaf. She made an incomplete W motion while saying, "Diffindo". Checking out her handiwork, Jasmine felt fairly satisfied. However, she was pretty sure that she could do better. She moved on to the next leaf and repeated the wand movement. At the same time, she once again said, "Diffindo". That try went much better, in Jasmine's opinion. On and on she went, repeating the spell until all of the leaves had been properly trimmed. Then Jasmine looked around for a nice sunny spot. She carried her plant over there and set it down. "There you go. That should help you get better." Since the plant's soil seemed to be moist enough she decided not to water it. When she was finished, Jasmine filled out a new nametag and stuck it onto the flower pot. Finally, Jasmine updated her log.
Jasmine was finished with her second plant, so she went off to search for her third one. Now who wanted to be rescued next?

Now that the plant was all watered, Adi decided he would clear off the ugly leaves that was making the plant look sad and uncared for. "Diffindo!'' He carefully did the wand movement. Didn't want to damage the plant then Papa Plants aka Professor Walton would stick him in detention for harming his child. Noooo, Sir!
Adi watched the targeted leaves fall away. "Diffindo! Diffindo!" Excellent. The plant looked green and happy. He wrote his name on a tag and stuck it on the pot.
Oh yeah. Time to write up the log. |

Onto the next plant. Kace wondered what other plants needed fixing. He fixed a pretty bad one near the window. As he was looking for open ones that have not been claimed, he saw one out of the corner of his eye. He saw it was severely dehydrated. He went over to it and gave it some TLC. He got his wand out and said the charm, "Aguamenti!" and the soil was getting some water. It seemed to suck it in pretty quickly. He even noticed little bugs on it that seemed to be eating the plant. He raised his hand and asked, "Erm Professor what do we do when there are bugs on the plant?" He didn't wanna touch the bugs incase they were poisonous. "I mean I do not know if they are poisonous or not.." he said still looking at his plant.

Sick plants. Sick plants everywhere. Toby felt a PANG in his heart as he stared around the greenhouse at them all. Boy, this was painful. Buuuuuuuuuut... he focused on Walton, looked right at him and listened before getting too carried away with thoughts about plants. And it seemed like the activity would be right up his street; helping the plants to feel better.
Once Walton had set them all off on their task, Toby stayed at his desk for a moment, to grab a fresh piece of parchment and write his name and everything on it, to use as his log. Then he headed to the cupboard and grabbed a bunch of nametags in advance, so that he had everything ready. With all that sorted, Toby started moving around the room.
Straight away, he was drawn to a super little plant. Toby leaned down and peered at it for a second, and figured that maybe it hadn't been getting enough light at all. That explained how small it was, and... yeah, some of the leaves were yellowed and beyond saving, like on that plant that Professor Walton had shown them earlier.
Toby set down the name tags and his note taking things, so he could properly do a magic. The Hufflepuff retrieved his wand and quickly got to work. "Diffindo," he cast on the yellow leaves, making the incomplete W shape with his wand. He made quick work of removing the leaves from the plant, and making sure to be extra careful as the plant was so small, thereby making things a tad fiddly. "Diffindo... Diffindo..."
Gradually, one by one, those dead and too-late-to-be-saved leaves were separated from the healthy stem. The plant was already looking better, but still very small, like it had been locked away in a dark room or something. THAT meant the nifty new spell they'd learnt. "Herbivicus," Toby cast, this time doing the wand movement that was like three little mountains. There was a flash of green light, and the plant grew. Then, because all that growing meant it was probably thirsty, Toby watered it too. "Aguamenti."
THERE. That was one plant HOPEFULLY saved. Toby stuck a name tag bearing 'Toby Tempus (#1)' to the plant pot with 'adhaero'. He paused to add this all to his notes, before moving away to find another plant to help out. Quote:

Plant #1: It was small and hadn't seen enough light and a lot of the leaves were all yellow. It's in the light now, so should be fine if it keeps getting light. I used Diffindo to cut off the dead leaves and the once that can't be saved, and then Herbivicus to help it grow. Then I watered it too because it looked thirsty after all that growing. |

After having taken care of the first plant, Zander actually smiled a little. But it had nothing to do with Walton. Nope. His small tinsy smile was all for the love of Herbology. He had forgotten how much he actually missed this class, since he was so busy being angry at the horrible Professor man. But Merlin, he actually had like this class at one point. It seemed so far out of reach, but healing the one plant had helped him sort of remember.
Except with every passing moment it was fading again. It didn't really help that Zahra's voice was carrying around either. So yeah, he wasn't smiling anymore.
But he was looking for another plant. This time, he stopped in front of one of a decent size... But with really crumply, wrinkly looking brownish turning leaves. Yeah, those have got to go. Taking out his wand he pointed right at the leaf he wanted to cut off, "Diffindo!" Right. And he repeated that step for the few other leaves that were in a similar condition. After words he decided to go with some more water 'cause that never really hurt the cause. "Aguamenti!" And now to log because well, yeah. Okay, that was kind of fun too. Quote:

Poor sick plant. Lux was going to be its doctor and help it feel better!
Professor Walton had said that pesticides were what you used on diseased plants so she grabbed some that was in a spray bottle. Carefully she began spraying the leaves with the pesticide. "This will make you feel better. It's like your medicine." Hopefully her plant would be as good as new in no time though she had no idea how pesticides worked if she was being honest. Eh, Professor Walton's instructions were good enough for her; he had to know what he was doing even if he wasn't Bentley.
Once she was done spraying and had returned the bottle, Lux wrote up another name tag and stuck it onto the pot. She was done healing plants so she would do her notes. On a piece of parchment she wrote: |

As Toby wandered around the classroom he noted that a lot of the plants now had name tags attached to the pots, and that made him happy. 'Cause these plants were being cared for and fixed and healed back to health and it was just so GOOD to see. Y'know, except for those couple of times that the Hufflepuff spotted a plant that was completely and irrevocably dead, and sort of... stood there looking sadly at it before moving on. Sigh sigh. Poor plants.
And then... OOH. An un-tagged plant that looked like it was in need of attention. Toby headed straight over to it and crouched down to get a better look again.
Droopy. Droppy and weak and clearly not getting enough nutrients from the soil. Tobias took in as much as he could of the plant, assessing whether there were any other problems with it that needed dealing with, before nodding to himself and straightening up again. As one final check, he removed one of his gloves to touch the soil it was growing in, but found that it seemed to be well hydrated.
He needed fertiliser, that was clear enough, and was probably all the plant really needed. The Hufflepuff replaced his glove and wandered off momentarily to retrieve some fertiliser from the cupboard, and returned within moments. Without dawdling, he added the fertiliser to the soil, not too much but a decent enough amount according to the size of the plant.
There, that sound be enough. Toby stepped back slightly, brushing off his gloves of excess fertiliser and surveying his work. Yep, that would do quite nicely. He added a tag to this plant pot too, this time reading 'Toby Tempus (#2)' and added more to his notes before he went off to look for another plant to help out. |

Puck wasn’t a plant whisperer. Not usually that is but generally it was easy to tell when a plant was dying of thirst. She carefully made her way over to the plant and sighed as she saw its drooping leaves and gently pressing her finger into the soil she could feel just how dry and needy it was. Why had it been neglected? She wondered – but it was probably just so that Professor Walton knew they were capable of fixing dying plants…heck most of the plants today were in dire need of some aid.
This one, needed some trimming as well, but that would come later after she had fixed its dire need for water. “Aquamenti” she cast and waited with the water pouring from the tip of her wand until she could see that the soil was damp “finite’ she finished the spell for now, if it needed more water later she’d simply give it more. Now, moving her wand on to the plants other issue – the dead leaves. Moving her wand in the now familiar pattern she carefully prepared to cast the needed spell. “Diffindo” she cast and watched as the death leave she was aiming for fell from the plant. “Diffindo” she went again and again until the very dead brown leaves were no longer sucking the energy from the poor little plant that could.

| #2 ½ EagleBrain ♥ Creeperdoodle ♥ Raven Dor ♥ Berry ♥ ½ Team House Elf He needed another plant, because he wanted to help HEAPS, so yeah... he'd do that.
The first plant that caught his attention was a yellowing one, and some of the leaves were droopy while others were dried out. Nuuuuuu!!!! ... it really looked like it was dead. Dead or very much dying. This one was beyond sick looking, but not so sick looking that he couldn't try to help it. Touching the plant carefully, and feeling the soil around it, Zeke decided that it probably needed water. LOTS of water. But he couldn't over water it, cause that would be just as bad as leaving it.
First thing he felt he needed to do, was water it, and so he did. "Aguamenti!" Zeke watered around the base of the plant, he was generous, but didn't flood the poor thing. "Finite." The next step would be the interesting one. How many dead leaves did he need to chop off? Hhhmmmm???
The really dead ones would go, most of the others were still fairly okay, they could be redeemed, right? Now that they had water? "Diffindo," Zeke said with conviction as he performed the spell with his upside-down extended W wand movement. The dead leaf fell away easily. And so he repeated the process until all the dead leaves were off. "Diffindo..... diffindo.... diffindo." It looked better already, less deathly, more lively.
It only occured to him then that it might need a bit of energy, something more than just water to help it recover. Like, a plant version of chicken soup... FERTILISER! Running to the stores cupboard, he got himself a small scoop of some and returned to the plant, sprinkling some of it around the base. The rest he might be able to use on other plants.
But of course, he needed to label his plant and do his summary, so that he did. Quote:

GRYFFINDOR

Then to add to his notes: Quote:
Plant One - Diseesed - black spots on the leaves
Treatment - sprayed it real good with pestiside
Plant Two - Dry sand, droopy and dead leaves with yellowing on the egges of some others.
Treatment - watered the plant and diffindo'd the dead leaves off, and added some fertilliser to help it grow
Yep. Another plant that would live, thanks to him. Or so he hoped.

He liked the fact that Walton used a charm for everything. Everything! Like if they required total darkness, he could imagine Walton pulling out his wand, conjuring curtains and then using his wand again to close said curtains...Or maybe he'd conjure thick, dark clouds indoors. Cutty himself would've done something similar as he too used magic wherever possible. It just seemed a waste of magic to not use it to it's fullest potential where one could. Which, in this case, was a warded and isolated castle full of wizards in the rural pockets of Scotland.
They were lucky! :3
Cutty was up and heading toward the cabinet picking up some tags for the plants. He just needed something that looked not too far gone. He found that in a patch of smaller than average snapdragons. Bloomless, but he could tell it was them by their seedpods, which bore an almost uncanny resemblance to the human skull. He leaned over the body of the plant to inspect it further. There were no weeds there now, but perhaps there could have been. Or at least some other plant that had been denying the snapdragon some needed nutrients recently.
He held his wand out toward the small plant and traced the shape of three small mountains toward it. " Herbivicus!" He said with much more gusto this time. The bright green light engulfed the tiny plant granting it a few sizes up and some strength to it's leaves banished that diminished look it previously possessed. " Herbivicus!" He hit it one mo'gain to give it the best chance of survival. He wondered if there was a size limit to this and if there was, was there anyway to break it?
With his muggle pencil, Cutty inscribed his name on the tag as well as the name of the plant on the front. Snapitha, Antirrhinum looked much better now. Yer welcome.
It was an easy fix. He got lucky.
