seeing that it worked he was really happy but seeing her squirm around he remembered what the Professor said.. "don't let it go to long" okay.. Bay quickly pointed his wand at her and said "Finite"

"how was that?? was it worse?? was it painful?" Bay was loaded with questions.. ughhhh now it was his turn right.. only fair since he got it right once.. "ermm I'm ready when you are" he held out his hands to his sides shoulder height like he was flying readying himself for it..

he started to sing in his head to hopefully help him out in this situation "I believe I can fly.. I believe I can touch the sky" he was glad no one could hear him singing.

As soon as the spell ended, Ella felt ten times better. Still sort of drained from all the squirming but that uncomfortable feeling had lifted for the most part. She glanced over at Bay after tucking a strand of hair behind her ear and smiled faintly. "It was definitely different. It felt stranger, more uncomfortable to have on you. It wasn't as nice as tickling can be, y'know?" Because tickling could be fun and the laughter was a nice kind whereas that spell had made her feel more achy.

Then it was her turn, yeah? Ella had already practiced when Bay had so she felt like she was good with the incantation and movement. The only thing left to do was give it a go. "I'll only let it last a minute, okay? Promise."

"Titillando!" Wavy shape done, Ella's eyes stayed on her partner to see if the spell had worked.

Stranger and more uncomfortable no this did not sound like a fun time.. resisting the urge to run as fast as his hurt knee would allow him he stayed put.. watching her getting ready.. she told him it would only last a minute….. Eyes closed.. more like squeezed tight and he felt his whole body tighten up.. "Okay" he squeaked out.. waiting… waiting.. thats when it hit him

Wiggling around.. "ahhhhhhhhhhh" it felt a lot worse then the previous spell.. laughing and crying at the same time he tried not to say anything for he knew that Ella would end the spell.. right… RIGHT!!!!! "AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH" escaped his lips along with more tears, it still tickled him but he felt itchy too.. that part wasn't nice.. not at all *nods*

Were those tears? Ella's eyes widened and she squeaked out, "Finite!" He was okay, wasn't he? What happened if you broke a Gryffindor? Would Bentley be mad? Questions, Ella had them. She also had a concerned look on her face as she approached the lion. "You okay, Bay?" Because he didn't look it and the Head Girl was worried about him. Worrying, she was really good at that.

"Finite" Sander called out ending the Rictumsempra spell on Alex. He shrugged in response to Alex's comment. "I don't know. I have to admit that except for casting the other spell and being the recipient of it, laughing like I've been doing has really helped me feel better. Now I know what they mean when they say Laughter is the best medicine.

It's been a while since I laughed this much because honestly there hasn't been much to laugh about," Sander reluctantly admitted to Alex.

....and before he fell into the doldrums again, Sander brandished his wand at Alex.

"Would you like to go another round of casting the first spell non-verbally again? Would you rather rest or would you like to try one round of dueling?"

....yes the lady always had the chance to chose first.

"I haven't ever duelled before either, but," Fern raised her voice, "that's only because when I challenged Cuthbert to a duel, he chickened out." The Slytherin was dueling with that turncoat Adi, but Fern hoped he heard.

"Anyway," she gave her head a quick shake, tossing her hair back, "Let's do this!"

Fern bowed to Lux, just like she had seen actors do on the stage, and then raised her wand. "You can go first!" Because Fern liked her dorm-mate.

Cuthbert? Lux was a little confused as to who that was, until she realized that it probably was Cutty. Since... Cutty would be an unusual first name. So he probably had a nickname he went by just like Bay.

Oooh, it was time to duel!

Bowing to Fern, Lux felt all formal and it was kind of strange but cool at the same time. Nodding as she was told she could go first, Lux raised her wand and...

"Rictusempra."

Alex was grateful when Sander ended the spell. Taking deep breaths, she started to feel better. Alex listened to Sander explain how the laughing made him feel better. "It makes me feel better too, but today was a little too extreme for me. I feel better now that it's over. I was definitely not feeling good during the spell. I'm glad it was good for you though."

Alex agreed when Sander said there hadn't been much to laugh about lately.....but on the bright side, Alex had her friends and that made her happy.

Sander then wanted to make a decision about what they should do next. "Hmmmm, maybe we can take a short rest break and then try a duel", Alex replied. "What do you think?" She was feeling better and better now that she could breathe again. Alex thought that she could handle a short duel.

"Proteg-"

Fern wasn't fast enough. Half way through saying the shield charm and making the upward, arcing flick with her wand, Lux's spell hit her. The 12-year-old stumbled back in surprise and dropped her wand as the tickling sensation began. She bent over to retrieve it, but it was hard to concentrate. "HahahaHAHALuxdon'thahahac-c-casthehehehefinite! Ihahahacand-dothis!"

Oh, goodness. Lux had expected that Fern would be ready, and her shield would bounce the spell off... but clearly she had been too fast.

Watching Fern drop her wand and then have a laughing fit, she tried to understand what she was being told, but it was too hard with all the laughing. "What did you say?" It never even crossed her mind to either pick the wand up, or end the spell.

Sophie felt TERRIBLE. Alec was rubbing his lower back, which meant he was hurting. He said he was great and had a smile on his face, but that still didn't convince Sophie, but oh well. At least she wouldn't have to try the spell on him again, since it had worked just fine on the first time. Good, good. "Thanks." The Hufflepuff gave him a small smile, making sure she was at a fair distance from him, but still close enough he could still see her with his poor eyesight - which she assume was quite bad at the moment.

"You can have a go at Titillando if you want." She told him, shrugging her shoulders. "You haven't tried that one yet, so..." She really didn't mind.

It worked! Yesss!

Beverly clapped her hands once. Most ticklish spots are often located in feet, this had been a lucky shot. Who'd known it was Bart's as well. Good thing her ticklish spot was her sides, but no one should know that. Ever.

She couldn't help but laugh a little with Bart. She did her best to cover it with her hand, but it was obvious. What? This was amusing. But then he was shooting the spell back at her. Crud. "Protego!" The shield was successfully produced, the spell bouncing off of it. Good luck to the loser who gets hit by it.

"D'you want me to stop the charm?" Or keep going. At this rate he might even get Romanos. Bev decided to stop and restart. "Never mind, Finite. Again."

Was he ready?

"Rictusempra!"

Ehehehe, Tobias only continued grinning, still kinda teasing about the fire thing. It was true that certain spells of his had a tendency to result in fire on the first try, but this was something that was way more under control these days, so really Sophie had no more to worry about than if she was practicing with another third year. Which she wasn't. Which made him happy.

Y'know. Just... because.

Ahem.

Once the spell was cast, Toby was aware it'd be pretty hard to tell if there was a subtle signal to stop; the laughter just made it a gazillion times more difficult. Tobias had always been the kind of person to cheer up at the sound of laughter, but it was different when it was from a TICKLING SPELL. So he needed to remember to look past that. This may well not be laughter of happiness, and instead the laughter of a POOR UNFORTUNATE SOUL.

So he paid attention. Tobias really tried to LOOK and see when the signal was to stop.

He wavered slightly at the first 'no', tempted to lift the spell straight away, but Toby was unsure if that was The Signal, or just an automatic reaction. In the time it took him to try and think, however, it seemed that the spell was really doing its job. And then Tobias saw Sophie's hand go up and instantly became the well known superhero, SUPERTOBES.

*superhero music*

"Finite!"

With more gusto this time, Tobias cast the spell which undid the effects of the tickling, and took a minor step forward.

"Was that okay?" he asked, the slightest hint of nervousness in his voice. It was kind of hard to try and gauge just how strong your spell was; after all, that was part of what they went to Hogwarts for. A lot of magic was about control.

But... he supposed it was his turn now, either way.

Keeping that slight distance between them, Tobias stood with his arms spread wide and his feet slightly apart, in an open sort of gesture that also made him a bigger target. Like this, it was obvious he was TOTALLY READY FOR THIS, right? Right.

"Hit me with it too!" the Hufflepuff squeaked in a voice that may or may not have been an octave higher than his usual register. "Before I chicken out."

Not that he'd be able to block it either way.

squriming he couldn't hear anything over his teeth chattering.. and then he felt nothing… "ahhhhhhh" he was so relieved that he didn't have to endure it any more.. Shaking himself off he wiped his tears away.. "I'm okay.. its just ughh i felt like my skin was crawling..ughhh" shaking again..

"you did great though.. on your first try!!" he said while they were just standing there.. "ughh so do you know what we do next.. because i have no idea.." then the thought hit him… maybe they could go sit down.. if he just started to wander over there would Ella follow?? it would be great to sit down. he kept eyeballing the sitting area..

Moving around the arena, eyeing the students casting spells, and students helping their classmates which was wonderful to see, she didn't see any particular situation that needed her to intervene. Wonderful students were wonderful. Though unfortunately, after a check of the time, it had to stop.

"Stop your casting everyone!" she called out, wiggling the watch on her wrist. Yup, that was time. "And please finite your partners if needed. Time is just about up for us. You may pack up and leave, or you can sit and rest on the stands for a few minutes. But, all in all, you all had done fantastically today."

Beam!

"If you haff any questions, do ask, othervise...haff a nice summer. Except you, Miss Hyde. You stay behind."

Lex beamed at him. He had thought she had good control--which she did when it came to this kind of thing but it was still nice to hear someone else say it instead of it always being her. "Thanks. Learned control for most spells while trying to gauge my explosions. Kinda important when you don't wanna land yourself a detention for destroying half the castle." Yeah...that'd have been problematic.

Wait hold on, Mo was misinterpretting things!

She didn't want the spell cast at her, she wanted to cast at HIM. It was a given she'd get cast at in return but Lex liked going first on casting!! What if his spell affected her so much she couldn't actually cast when it was her turn, hmmmm?? Would that mean she'd lose her turn. Believe her, she was set to protest but then he was giving her looks and well...he'd repeated her big kid comment...big kids didn't whine.

FINE THEN.

The Gryffindor braced herself, knowing fully well this wouldn't be the good kind of tickling but the painful kind. To think she thought she was doing a lot of squirming around before! It wasn't that bad at first, similar to the first but then she let out a loud laugh, finding herself bent double without even knowing HOW. "Okayokayokay!" She said, trying to raise her hand in surrendor but it didn't get that high. Her ribs hurt and her abdomen. Staaaaahp!

He had to stop, class was over. This was why she should have gone first.

Class was over? This was definitely his last Defense Against the Darks Arts class for Sander in Hogwarts. He turned to Alex. "Thanks for partnering up with me. I really loved working with you. I'll wait for you outside," Sander smiled at his best friend.

Holstering his wand, Sander walked over to his backpack and walked over to say goodbye to Professor Romanos.

"Thank you for another interesting lesson. I'm going to miss this class and this arena. I want to wish you all the best for the future." Sander smiled as he thanked his Professor.

As he made his way out of the Dueling Arena, he stopped and turned to look all around one last time. Then with a sad sigh, Sander stood near the exit and waited for Alex to join him.

Awww, class was over. How sad.

Lux quickly ended the spell, so that Fern was okay, then smiled at her. "It was awesome being partners with you. We should do it again some time!" Fern was awesome. Smiling, she waved goodbye to her dorm-mate who she would be seeing again soon and then went to get her stuff.

"Bye, Professor. Thank you for the amazing term and have a nice summer." She was looking forward to having more of these classes next term. Waving goodbye, she left the room.

A shield? What self-armoring spell? Romanos hadn't taught them anything like it just now, but Alice could vaguely remember Dylan showing her some sort of Impervius thing back in her fifth year. Was that it?

"I don't... remember the movement." Did he have time to show her what it was or...?

'Cause if not, then it'd be best to get this over with.

"Loricatus I mean. You roll your wand like this in your fingertips and flick your wrist at the same time, and it armours your skin. Like right up close." West showed her the movement, pointing his wand at his arm.

If she wanted to try it and all...

... what? She hadn't ever heard of that, but if it got her out of being tickled, it was worth a shot.

"Loricatus." Flicking her wrist while rolling her wand between her fingertips, Alice awaited results. But her movements had been stiff, and the incantation sounded a bit more forced and twisted on her tongue than it had on West's. Her iffy performance of the spell was enough to keep it from working.

.... "Did anything happen?" It didn't feel like it. How could she tell?

Laura looked around and smiled it was time to finish the lesson she was just about to sneak back to her seat when the Professor spoke again. How had the Professor spotted her she was in the darkest corner possible and it was a way of learning she was watching closely and it was the safest way. "Okay Professor." Laura sighed the game was up no point in pretending she wasn't there.

"You'll feel a little... heavy. If it worked." West said, watching and trying to work out if it had or not. He sure couldn't tell. "Try scratching your skin and see if it feels less sensitive."

He wasn't gonna try the spell until she tested hers out. For reasons. All the reasons. The reasons were so much at the front of his mind that he hadn't even noticed class was apparently done.

Heavy? Alice wriggled a bit. No heaviness here. Maybe?

She scratched her skin too, and it felt... normal. Ish.

"I dunno. You can try it, I guess. I usually cast stuff right."

"Okay, but you said I could." Okay? So it'd be HER fault. Not his.

He flicked his wand in that little wavey curve shape and mentally focused on the incantation rather than saying titillando out loud.

And purple hands burst forth....
