She had just finished rearranging her stuff in the trunk according to what she was most likely to use for now and that took her all day. She had just noticed how many stuffs she had brought. Cassia slammed the trunk shut and hopped on her bed . she sat cross-legged at the foot of her bed and stared at the wall. "Ladies," She said addressing her dormmates Derry and Cat. "We really need to put up something on this wall," She said thoughtfully, her chin propped on her hand.

Switching to decorating mode.

The blond remained like that for a bit then tore her attention from the wall. Anyone walks in and sees her like that would think…..who knows what they'd think. And frankly, that wasn't the reason that she stopped staring. The wall got its fair share of stares and now it was the rest of the dorm's turn.

Also, what was her friends doing? Hmm? Did they agree about the wall?

Speaking of again, the snake's eyes swept the dorm what else needed changing, altering, or filled. Hmm..

Cat was sprawled on her bed and being completely unladylike and Cassia might disapprove, but that was okay. She didn't have to ALWAYS be ladylike, right? She could just be Catlike right now and right now, the Cat was enjoying her comfortable bed. She tilted her chin upwards so that she was looking at Cassia and Cassia was standing on her head.

"Hmmm." Helpful, yes. Was it bad to suggest putting a picture of her boyfriend up there? Probably. "How about like a HUGE cupcake? Yes?" She motioned wide with her arms and grinned.

Cupcakes.

Cat tilted her head, "Derry, you in on this? Cupcake."

Derry was flopped on her back, head hanging slightly off the edge of her bed, reading the latest broom magazine and generally daydreaming about things. Hmm. Things, yeah. Like... girly things. Cause she didn't often do girly things, she was more into reading than make up, and she was more comfortable in riding jodhpurs than skirts... and she'd definitely rather ride a broom than think about fashion... But she was still curious. Hmm.

She was pondering the general existence of mascara, the length of eyelashes in general and wondering exactly why it mattered when she heard Cat speak - she'd completely missed Cassia's sentence. "Cupcake..?" She dropped her magazine to the floor and stared at her friends upside down. "What about cupcakes?" She wasn't really very hungry...

"Hey guys... what's the point of mascara?" she asked, rolling over onto her front and looking at them. Serious question this. Very serious business indeed. "Cause... y'know... 'sjust eyelashes." So why did people make them longer..? She assumed Cat and Cassia would know. They were better at the whole girl thing than she was.

She might have been a bit caught up with the naked wall, but she got to notice Cat lying on her bed. Since it was only the three of them, it was allowed to do anything. No rules in the dorms, complete freedom. Although, Cassia hoped that Cat won't feel dizzy looking at the world upside down. She might a bit if she stands too quickly. While on the other side, Derry was lost in that magazine. Cassia tried to get a look at the cover and she approved.

A cupcake? Trust Cat to suggest that.

"Well, there's nothing nicer than waking up to a giant cupcake," She laughed lightly hopping off her bed and walking over to the wall. "Derry, we're trying to figure what to put up on this sadly naked wall," She clued the red-headed in. "We can also put like small posters around it," She said her eyes back on the wall.

The plain wall, Cassia's current biggest concern.

For a few minutes at least. Until mascara was mentioned.

Did Derry just say just eyelashes? Cassia shook her head and walked over to stand between the two girls' beds. Who were both sprawled on their beds. "That's the awesome thing." She said shoving her hands into her shorts' pockets. "Eyelashes are barely noticed but apply mascara and it gives a total new look." She said knowingly.

Did they agree?

Oh oh, how would the Girls dorm look like? The next year it had been really scary to be here, with all the spiders and dirt... But... the headmistress had told them that the house elves were back so she didn't needed to worry right? There were no spiders inside the dorm this year!

Taking a deep breath, she stepped inside the girls dorm and looked relieved around her, it was clean! A smile was now visible on her face and when she stepped further she saw that there were already a few students inside the dorm. "Hellllllooooooo!" Laughed Sonea while she waved excitedly at the others and ran toward her bed. "Hello bed, i have missed you..." Grinned Sonea while she enjoyed it to be back at Hogwarts. But then, even now that she was tired, she remembered that she wanted to do something, something she had wanted to do for a long time and now she knew how! She grabbed her wand and pointed with it on her own pillow, and yes, she had a few pillows with her, she only wanted the best! And... she colored ALL her pillows pink!

"So, this is better!"

Adelaide headed back to her dorm after checking everything out. There were already a few girls in there, chattering amongst themselves. She did what she normally did in that situation: made herself as invisible as possible.

She walked over to her bed without paying any mind to the conversation that was going on amongst them. Once seated on her bed, she looked up and saw Derry. Her fellow ginger. Okay. So being invisible was definitely out of the question right now.

"Hey Derry!" Addi called from the bed. She looked at the other girls. "My name's Adelaide." Might as well. They were going to be living together.

"That's what I'm saying!" Cat's arms went in the air again and it was unclear whether or not she totally missed the some kind of sarcasm from Cassia or if she had chosen to ignore it. "Cupcakes." Didn't matter at all what the conversation about cupcakes was, just that there WAS a conversation about cupcakes going on. While Caterina was examining the ceiling and wondering if she should point out to Cassia that it were also empty and perhaps they needed to put something up there to look at, she got distracted by Derry's question.

Sitting up way too quickly, she groaned and fell over to the other side of her bed. Ah. Blood rush to the head. No big deal. She would be fine in a year or so. Cat shook her head as she sat up and scrambled over to the edge of her bed, closest to Derry's. "Why are they talking about mascara in that magazine?" Hmm? This was lost on Cat. Was this something ELSE? Some deep rooted issue?

"Mascara's cool, yeah." Cassia liked it, anyway, "Just don't stick yourself in the eye with it, hurts like hades." That was super helpful, right? But this was more important. "The point of it is to make your lashes longer and darker and curlier and make the boys swoooon. Why? Are you going to start wearing it?"

Did Derry want to make boys swoon? If so, Cat was so in on this. She nodded sagely at Cassia's words and then fake!swooned back on to her bed. See? That's what the boys did. For sure.

Oh hey. New person. Did SHE want to make boys swoon too? They could make a club out of it. Maybe Cat could be the leader since she already had a boyfriend and shouldn't be making other boys swoon. "Hi Adelaide. Come sit with us." Cat called as she sat up again.

"But why..." Derry was completely confused by the whole long-eyelashes thing. "Like... what's so attractive about long eyelashes. They look like spiders legs or something... that's not nice." Mhmm... she was really missing the entire point here. She looked over at Cat.

"Hmm..? They're not... it's Which Broomstick..." Why would they have mascara in Which Broomstick? "I was just wondering... cause like... I'm not very good at the whole girl thing." So opinions were good yes..? And help from other people.

She was going to say something else when she noticed a fellow ginger come in. "Adelaide! Hi!" Yaaaaay same dorm and everything... Derry had forgotten if she'd asked what year the girl was in, but now she knew. Wow, the fifth year slytherin girls were just the most awesome things in the world, yeah? Yeah.

As for if she was going to start wearing it... Derry glanced back at Cat. "I don't know..." she said, sitting up and peering into the closest mirror she could find. "My eyelashes are ginger... kinda invisible..." So maybe she should...? What did they think? "But... I'm clueless about the make up stuff..." Why didn't they do a manual on girldom? HMM?

To say that Israel was dismayed at sharing a room was an understatement. Israel didn't like sharing anything, but she was willing to give it a shot. Her mother after all said she had loved going to Hogwarts. And if her mother could share a room Israel certainly could.

Paris Greenwood was not known for her sharing abilities.

Israel carried her bags up the stairs. There was no way she was going to let a house elf manhandle her custom Louis Vuitton luggage. She was keen on getting into her room, getting into her jammies and settling down with a good book and some chocolate.

She pushed open the door to the girls dorm and walked in. It was already bursting at the seams with girls chatting away. She nodded and smiled at each of them in turn. 'If you want to have friends you have to show yourself friendly,' her grandmother had told her this morning before seeing her off on the train. Growing up an only child in a world where Paris Greenwood was your mother was not easy.

Sure Israel had social grace, but she wasn't very good at relating to kids her own age.

She set her bags down on the last available bed in the room. "Does anyone know where to get a good piece of chocolate?" she asked.

The third year old just had colored all her pillows pink when she heard how another girl entered the dorm. She looked behind her and saw that she was trying to bring her own luggage inside the dorm. Hmm, why was she doing that? She herself hated it to work or to do anything what was the work for a random house elf. But... She was in a good mood, so when the other girl asked where she could get some chocolate she walked toward her and grinned. "You can always visit the kitchen to see if you can get something there... but until than you can have some of mine, if you want" said Sonea while she showed the girl some of her pink chocolate, and yes, she had made her chocolate pink...

Hmm, being nice wasn't that bad...

A last glance at the wall made Cassia think that she needed to make a poster herself. And yes, she was going to make a cupcake one for Cat as well as other ones. There was a lot of space. She'd get around to doing that and ask what the girls thought. They needed to approve because this was their dorm,too and they had the right to like and dislike the decoration. See, Cassia was very considerate.

The blond winced as Cat got up too quickly then flopped back. That wasn't pleasant for sure, but hoped it wasn't too serious. And it seemed so since she talked afterwards. "Yup, it does hurt," She agreed referring to the poking the eye thingy. Then back to Derry. "It makes the look sharper and cooler." Did that answer her question?

Did Derry say she wasn't very good at the girl thing?

Before she got to comment on that, Cassia noticed another girl joining them. She remembered seeing he girl in the feast. The blond smiled at the new ginger. "Hey Adelaide," She greeted her. "I'm Cassia. Come join us." COME!

Turning back to Derry who was talking about her eyelashes now, Cassia went and sat on the captain's bed. "I think you'll look prettier in mascara." She said nodding her head. "I can teach you. You know, how to apply make up," Need she say she's good at it. "It's not hard," She said glancing at the other two. Cat seemed to know about this. They could all share their knowledge.

Israel pulled her black hair back from her face and pinned it up with a onyx chopstick before starting to unpack her clothes. Everything had been pressed and folded before being packed away in her trunk. She had brought enough clothes to cloth a small country for years.

Her grandfather had charmed the trunk to be bottomless. She wasn't going to bother going downstairs to unpack her shoes. The Mary Janes she was wearing would work fine till she felt like venturing down there.

She turned when one of the girls started talking to her. Israel looked down at the handful of pink chocolate the girl was offering her. Israel liked her chocolate brown but since she hadn't eaten anything at the feast she wasn't going to look a gift horse in the mouth. She picked up two pieces. "Thanks. The pink is a nice touch." she set the chocolate down on her nightstand. "I'm Israel Greenwood." she told the girl introducing herself.

"Um what year are you?" The girl was battling Israel in the short height department and since Israel went the way of all Riddle in that she wasn't ever going to see 5 feet outside of a pair of heels there was no telling is Israel was older than the girl.

Wait...were these girls pulling her leg? Not only were they inviting her to join them, but they were talking about one of her favorite things: make-up. Well that was an invitation from all three so she might as well.

Adelaide dropped journal on her bed before walking over to the group. She stood kind of awkwardly leaning up against one of the bedposts, crossing her arms over her chest. She didn't want to just sit down on someone else's bed. "Nice to meet you Cassia and..." The other girl had completely forgotten to introduce herself.

Now to make-up. She turned to her fellow ginger. "Make-up is so much fun to play with. I have a whole mass of it in my trunk if ever want to play around with it Derry." Then Addi got another idea. "Or we could have a mini-makeover party." She looked at the other two girls as well. This was her way of testing whether or not they really accepted her.

Cat shrugged her shoulders, "Dunno, you just like asked all of a sudden out of the blue so I was confused." Maybe Derry had just been thinking about it recently and now she had people to ask? "I think spider legs is a little extreme, they don't get THAT long, and besides, there's different colors, you don't have to make them BLACK there's lighter ones and even CLEAR ones." Which Cat thought was cool. But anyway.

Cat launched to her trunk and scrambled around, almost falling off the end of her bed and into the trunk headfirst. She managed to scrounge up what she was looking for, though. She tossed the sleek black tube over to Derry's bed and nodded. "You can try that if you want. It's Ellsberry." And well, if Derry didn't know things about makeup, she probably didn't know of Ellsberry, "Which means its GOOD." Helpful.

Oh right. It was helpful to offer her name as well, wasn't it? She pointed at herself when the new girl glanced in her direction. "Cat." Yep. That was her. Cat. Had she mentioned that her bed was comfotable? No? Well, it was and she was considering a nap. "I trust you guys with my makeup. Cassia painted my fingernails." She wiggled her fingers that were each a different color. Obviously they were awesome. "You know what else is fun? Flavor Changing lip gloss. It's good for a 'guess the flavor' kissing game."

.....In case they wanted to know that.

Looking at the luggage the older girl had with her she wondered why she didn't had asked one of her maids to do the same for her when she had still been living with BOTH her mom and dad... It was a really smart idea to make a trunk bottomless so she was a little jealous about the idea ant that she didn't had thought about it earlier... But, this girl was older than she so it was normal that she was a little smarter, right? She was sure that when she was older she would be a really good witch so she needed to do her best during this year!

"I know, pink is the best color ever" grinned Sonea and took also a bite of one of the pink chocolate, not because she was hungry but simply because she liked it to eat them... "I have made them pink myself, brown was such a boring color, eating must be fun and eating something what isn't looking fun isn't funny to eat!" And while she said that she wondered if it was possible to make her foot pink during breakfast the next day... Hmm, she could do that...

"Hi Israel" she nodded to the girl and pointed first at her two rats who had been hiding inside her pocket but who were now trying to climb toward her shoulder and introduced them first. "This is Little Princess and this is Sir Blue and he is her baby." Sonea sounded proud while she spoke. "And I'm Sonea Duvessa, a third year. In which year are you? I have't seen you before" said Sonea slowly, wondering why she hasn't seen this girl before.

She was finally all settled in her room and she touched base with at least Hudson and Sky so that was good enough for her. She was now heading to the common room but not before taking a peek into each of the other dorms and just making sure everyone was settling alright. Maybe cause she was merely curious and intrested in what some of the younger girls were up to. Passing by the fifth year dorm she stood in the doorway a moment before she spoke,"everyone all settled?" they seemed to be just fine in fact they were already mingling she , noted them all around two set of beds. What were they doing? She was curious no doubt but it was their room and shed be moving along.... soonish.

Israel had to blink at the girl's excitement over a color. Well that was new. Eating was always fun in the Greenwood house. Though her and her mom had their own house the entire Greenwood clan always gathered for dinner at her grandparents house. You hadn't had a fun dinner till you ate at Uptown Court. "I will have to remember that when my granddad tells me brussel sprouts are good for the soul." She hated those vile little monsters. Israel was convinced any version of purgatory included a demon feeding you buckets of those things with a pitchfork.

She nodded. Of course the girl was younger and by the end of the term she was going to be taller. "I'm a fourth year." she explained. "At least I think I am. I was home schooled." She offered. "I've never heard of Duvessa before. Where is your family from?" Israel was sure she knew of all the prominent families in the UK.

She dug around in her purse for her wand. She really didn't feel like physically changing out of her clothes. With a small circle and a jab at her jammies the clothes she wore to the feast swapped themselves for her jammies. It was one of the first charms she learned from her mother. It was the secret of runways everywhere.

Okay... "I won't poke myself in the eye then..." Not that she was planning on it... since being poked in the eye wasn't exactly pleasant anyway. Sharper. SHARPER? Why would you make eyelashes SHARP? She had no idea. People were mental. Girls were mental. Ascanius was right. Apart from his WAY of saying it. Anyway, this was girl times and stuff, yeah? So no time for thinking of silly Essex boy. Hehehe.

Make up... applying make up. She didn't know if she really wanted that... but what could it hurt? She took a minute to think about it and smiled at the others. "Thanks Adelaide." she said, silently wondering why all girls seemed to know about make up except her. Seriously... wasn't it a little bit inconvenient to wear make up and stuff? She was just curious...

Wait.

What.

Makeover party..?

Derry's eyes widened and she just kind of stared at each of the girls in turn. Makeover..? That kind of sounded... scary. She was still trying to figure out if that could be at all good for any possible reason when Cat handed her the tube... "Ellsberry, right..." she repeated, only half paying attention... As for the kissing game... "Uh... um... I actually... haven't..." Blush. Bluuuuuush. "Y'know..." She shrugged and glanced down at her hands. "Never kissed anyone..."

ANYWAY...

RIGHT. IDEA. Derry perked up a little bit and tapped the tube of mascara on her nose thoughtfully. "I'll let you give me a makeover if you all sign up for tryouts. Deadline's soon." Briiiibery. Hopefully. "Please? Cause... I totally need a team and stuff. I'll be nice." Promise. She knew it was intimidating and all to try out with all them people but SHE WAS A NICE PERSON. She'd make them comfortable.



Derry was still giving her friends pleading looks about the tryouts when she heard a familiar voice and she looked around. "Ariana!" Beaming face. Good timing. "Come tell these guys how much fun quidditch team-ing is..." Aaaaand steer the conversation further away from the kissing topic. They could talk make up, fine, but she was awkward and stuff so like... not right now.

Cassia was glad they settled on the not wanting to poke their eyes. They all needed their eyes for sure, besides eyes were like the most important feature according to the blond at least. As Cat shot towards her trunk, Cassia felt awkward being the only one not sitting. Adelaide was standing as well but she was kinda leaning so not reslly straight. Waiting to see what Cat fished out, the snake sat down On Derry's bed. She wouldn't mind, would she?

" I barely use black, " She said "I like silver, Y'know sharing tastes and all.

At the mention of make-over party, a grin appeared on Cassia's face. She approved of Adelaide so much! And they just officially met. Cool, huh? " I like this idea a lot.. " It was Cassia-approved. Our of curiosity, she leaned clser towards Derry to get a look at Cat's mascara. As if on cue, Cassia held up one hand to show her matching nails . " Rainbow nails, " She said cheerfully. She liked missing with her nail polish. She had ALL the colors in the world. She"d gladly lend them to the girls or do their nails.

Theeeeen came the gloss idea. That only reminded Cassia of many conversatiions with Dora. The Ravenclaw had offered one for Cassia but the snake had chickened. Ahem.

She fell silent when the kissing thing was brought up. Eeeeh. She nodded at Derry's words. They were on the same boat here.


Was that bribery? Was it legal? " Errrr...I think it's better if good flyers tryout. " she said. " There are plenty of those! " she nodded. Like the team?; Everyone was still here except Dylan. " I belong to the stands." she told. Nothing personal, surely Derry understood. "I am very good at cheering y'know, " she winked at the captain.

As if on cue, Ariana walked in. Here's a living witness! ! Not that there was any dead ones. not yet at least . " Heeey! We're all great! " She grinned at the ranked suprr cool brunette. " How are things at yours,seventh years ladies?" She asked. She was gonna make a visit there just cause. Also, Ari should totally tell the others about Cassia"s cheering skills. She was one to know that the blondwas always positioned at the stands. Ahem

Brr... Sonea's face darkened when she thought about the taste of those things and she shook her head, "even when they are pink i don't want to eat them" The third year old was now lucky that her mom wasn't forcing her to eat anything she didn't wanted, she even didn't remembered when she had eaten for the last time together with her mom... Hmm, she had always eaten her food alone or with one of the maids at home she liked... But it was a long, long time ago when she had eaten for the last time with one of her parents, and none of the maids dared it to force her to eat something she didn't wanted... so she hasn't eaten those THINGS for a long time, and she was lucky about that!

Oh, a forth year? The other girl was only one year older than she was! Hmm, now she really wondered HOW it was possible that she didn't had seen this girl before, or had she just never paid enough attention to the others? Hmm, she frowned and looked at her two rats, but none of them was acting as if they already knew Israel, so she concluded that they never have seen each other before, trusting her rats.

"Oh, Home schooled!!" Her mouth formed a small o while she looked at the other girl, she now understood why she didn't had recognized the other girl. But when she asked about her family her face darkened, she hated it to talk about her family, she really didn't wanted to tell ANYBODY about them, and if she would answer this question she was afraid that there would follow more questions... She didn't wanted to tell about her family because there was nothing to tell about, her mom has just divorced from her dad and was now living somewhere else with her, and she even hasn't spoken her dad since then, as if he wasn't interested in her anymore! She sighed and looked sad. "My family is living in England' said Sonea slowly and her happy smile had now disappeared. "I'm sorry, but can we talk about something else?" The third year old tried to think about a distraction and smiled again.

"Why have you decided to come to Hogwarts? Studying at home is more relaxing than here..." If she would have had a good home with parents she liked than she would have loved it to study at home!

Cat, Cassia, Derry. Adelaide thought to herself making a mental note of all of the girls names. So many new people it was going to be hard to keep things straight.

Adelaide noticed the look on Derry's face at the mention of a makeover. "It's not as horrible as it sounds. We can just play with eye makeup if you want. Sometimes it's easier having someone else do it for you the first time." That was one of the few things Adelaide and her mom did together. That list of things was very, very short. "Those nails are gorgeous. And we are totally having a make-over party at some point." Yes. Nail polish and make-up were always fun.

She blushed at Cat's mention of the flavor changing lip gloss and kissing games. Addi let out a breath, when Derry said she'd never kissed someone either. At least she wasn't the only one. "I've never kissed anyone either. Never even had a date." Because those things went hand in hand right?

And a subject Adelaide had no idea about. "I've never flown a broom before. Can't see how me trying out is a great idea." She'd probably just mess everything up. Not to mention she had no idea how the game worked at all. She looked up and smiled as the older girl looked in. Ariana. Another new name to make a note of.

So this what what the Dorms look like. Petra gave the room a look around as she saw several people already in the room. She looked at some of the other students to see if she recognized some of them. She saw Sonea and waved to her seeing her pink pillows Petra came to the conclusion that she must really like pink. She walked over to the bed and sat down and to her amazement the bed was soft and comfortable. Well at least she was going to sleep in a good bed while at Hogwarts.

Cat tilted her head to look up at the doorway from her spot on her bed. Oh look, it was Ariana. That girl that let her hug her TWICE now. "Hiiiii Ariana!" Cat wiggled her fingers in a wave at the older girl, but she didn't get up from her spot or anything. She glanced back at Derry and noted the awkward that was rolling off of the Captain in waves. Waves. "It happens sometimes, to the best of us." That whole poking the eye thing. It happened. "It's a good excuse for yelling, though. Just another thing about being a girl that boys will never understand." Nope. Never.

"Silver mascara?" Cat an interested/shocked sort of look at Cassia. "That does THAT look like? Do you have some now? You should put it on." Cause she wanted to see.

And apparently... Cat was the only one of the four who'd kissed anyone. She blinked at all three other girls and felt awkward. Well... well. "Oh... well. You know, something to keep in mind, right? Whenever. Kissing. Happens. Yeah?"Whenever they got around to that kissing thing. Did the fact that Cat already had one ex-boyfriend and one current boyfriend, both of which had involved LOTS of kissing, make her a bad person? Surely not, right? She was a good kid. Relatively good, anyway. Cat rolled on to her stomach to regard Derry again, "I totally signed up." Totally. Signed up. She had.

You know when she mentioned she was just going to say hi and leave she meant it, UNTIL Derry mentioned quidditch and told her to come in. So she did cause well, why not. They all got nods and waves as she walked over, yes hello, she was here. "Quidditch?" she looked at captain!Derry and sat on the edge of someones bed, they wouldnt mind surely, "have any of you signed up to try out and join us?" cause she knew the returning team would make the cut... they were too good together... She'd be crazy not to keep them together, in her opinion."its really fun, challenging, painful, but lots of fun." was this helping?"any of you ladies know of the time Dylan knocked me out during a practice my 5th year? During a joint practice" she chuckled "you'd think that would be terrifying but i woke up like a few minutes after practice ended and everyone was staring at me" this was true. " i just laughed and brushed it off." so she might of had a mild concussion after that but she was good.

And she listened as they talked about make up and such and ariana was just smirking at them. Beautiful lady snakes in the making. Diffrent color Mascara, flavored lip gloss my oh my. "seems like you all have the make up thing down." Which was good cause slytherin girls were classy and graceful and make up enhanced that just slightly, cause lets face it these beautiful girls didnt really need too much make up enhancement.
