Thank you for your cooperation.
Professor Hadley is a busy woman, but she is always welcoming to you once you've secured an appointment with her. When you enter her office, you will notice it's arranged similarly to her former office on the second floor (assuming you've visited there). The walls have been painted a light blue-gray color and there are a handful of paintings hung around the room, giving off a rather comfortable aura. One of the paintings is a rendition repainted by Josephina, herself, of a canal near her hometown in Perugia, Italy. There is a framed miniature Italian flag, as well as a third painting of the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa.
As with typical office decorum, there is a large, polished wooden desk. There are a few neat stacks of papers and worksheets on the desk. There are also a few framed photographs sitting on her desk; her sisters, her parents, her colleagues, and her niece and nephew as well. There's also another five-by-seven framed photograph of a handsome young gentlemen; like the young girl, he'll have the tendency to disappear and re-appear and may blow kisses once in awhile too. Behind the large wooden desk sits a black executive style chair. Directly on the other side of the desk - where visitors may sit - are two smaller black chairs, but still just as comfortable.
There's a bookcase on the left side, which contains various titles that Josephina collected over the years. Some these include, but are not limited to, The Complete Book of Numerology, New Theory of Numerology, Numerology and Gramatica, A Look Into The Future, and Olde and Forgotten Bewitchments and Charmes. There are also muggle classic books by Charles Dickens and Jane Austen, for which are a few of Fina's guilty pleasures.
Be careful as you enter the door, as her puppy, Baisley, has been very jumpy lately and loves to jump on visitors and play. Her kitten gifted from recent graduate, Lorelai Bristol, in which she conveniently named Bristol, is typically just lounging on one of the bookshelves, playing quietly with a ball of yarn. Just entering without permission is rude and punishable with either point deduction and/or detention for being disrespectful.

Minerva had come to Professor Hadley's office every second day for the past terms since her second year. So it wasn't a surprise when she started up to the Arithmancy floor just to realize half way up that she was going the wrong way. Back tracking and heading to the first floor she finally made her way to the the muggle studies office. Nerves were taking over from the feast before. That look and sound of disappointment still in Min's head. She couldn't believe in the first night she already failed Hadley as prefect. Maybe she would be asking Min for her badge back after that little stunt.
Taking a deep breath she had to do this. It wouldn't be her start of term without seeing her head of house, plus she really looked up to the professor. So these visits were as much for advice as they were just to see how she was doing. Thoughts shifted to last term in how she had been doing and Min shuddered. Please no ice cream offers this morning. Finally pulling the courage to lift her hand Minerva knocked on the door.

And the first knock of the morning after the feast; Josephina knew without even opening the door who it would be due to her handy appointment scheduler she obtained over the break. Was she surprised? Not really, except for the fact that it was two minutes past eleven, which meant the girl got confused about her new office whereabouts. No matter though, because even SHE got confused when she was setting up her new home.
Lazily flicking her wand at the door to open it, she smiled at the seventh year standing there. "Minerva! Come in! Have a seat; you like my new office? It looks about the same as the old one." Old habits hard to change. Except for one last year she obtained, she was not about to continue. She picked an older habit instead.
"Peppermint humbug?" she offered, casually to the girl. "From Honeydukes."

Sitting back in the seat she found the room comfortable, but since she had been doing this same meeting year after year it shouldn't be to nerve racking by now, but she did feel a little jump in her stomach as she remembered the only thing that was different. This would be her final first visit and she was now a failed prefect.
Taking a deep breath she looked at the peppermints. Umm.. The last time she said yes look what happened, but these should be alright, right? "Sure professor. Thank you." She took a peppermint and popped it in her mouth. "I first want to apologize for last nights behavior, I am not sure why I did it to be honest." Was that pretty much rating herself out that Tillstorm knew nothing about her going up there. "After last term and well my summer." Did she know about summer, of course she did. Tillstorm did so Hadley most likely did as well. "I just hope I didn't fail you already since term really has just started." That was about all she could say about that now wasn't it.
"I did want to thank you for the opportunity as prefect. I was a bit shocked, but I guess I said that in my owl back. I hope to do well for you." She wasn't going to disappoint her head of house again. "So did you have a nice summer ma'am?" Maybe a quick change of subject would make her disappointment go away or at least be forgotten for the time being.

She wouldn't have given her the badge if she didn't trust her. But enough of that, time to talk about the Summer, which well, Fina couldn't help but smile. "My summer was ... filled with surprises." A big one actually, but she wasn't sure she was ready to disclose that yet. Only due time. "So yes, it was nice. Wonderful, even. What about you, though? Did you get a chance to visit the festival in Diagon Alley?"

Wade was feeling pretty good today. Since last night, just was full of wonderful news and everything with the school compared to last year. There of course, was some things that needed to be taken care of. One was delivering this gift that he had managed to finally complete overnight after starting on it throughout the summer. More importantly, was what he already shared with his best mate, Alec, on. His new career aspiration, so yep, appointment time with his lovely Head of House was made.
Wade had to catch himself mid-way of going towards the stairs to her old office on the same floor Arithmancy took place when he remembered the change after approaching the Staff Table last night. Yep, so back down to the first floor he went. Checking his watch, he was pleased to have made it in time. So with his package held to his side, he gave the door a few solid knocks before stepping back to wait. He whistled a little bit too to pass the time. Heh.
Thursday, September 4th. 3pm. Just like Hadley had written.
It had taken ALL his willpower not to pogo up to the office today, because he was feeling particularly fidgety and stuff. It didn't bother Tobias all that much though, because they had Astronomy a little later, and that was a class where Professor Starman always gave them something ACTIVE to do.
Tobias had originally found himself at the second floor, because he'd kind of not been paying much attention during the feast when Truebridge had mentioned the staff. Maybe he should have, because he'd been getting a few little shocks. Another Hufflepuff had directed him to the Muggle Studies office, and he'd made it, just on time.
Giving a knock at the door (even THAT sounded cheerful and energetic), Tobias bounced on the balls of his feet, fighting the urge to wander around in circles or something. Keeping still was sooooo not easy today.
His uniform was as neat as he could get it, with his top button done up for once and his tie properly tied and straight. His outer robes, however, were hindering the hyperactive boy and also kinda making him too hot, and so were looped through his bag strap.
Before he could get called in, Tobias seemed to suddenly remember something, and reached into his pocket for a folded up parchment. Stuff he wanted to bring up, just in case his attention wandered mid-point.
Yeah, he was READY.

Was that something she should have said, probably not, but this was better than what they started with last term. So a comment was going to happen.
Minerva's face fell a bit. Was it a long train ride. Yes it was super super long. She was an emotional wreck the majority of that train ride and then argued with a fellow seventh year badger. That was just not her way to start off the term at all. "You could say that." Could she really explain everything and her reasons. Probably not in the best way. "I know I shouldn't have and never have been that bold before, but after last term with her.. I had to prove I wasn't scared Was that the best way to say it. She wasn't scared as much anymore. Tillstorm was well nice. "I won't let you down anymore. I promise." She would not hear that disappointment in her voice again.
Minerva gave a smile glad to hear that Hadley had a good summer. "Good surprises I hope." by the smile she would say it was good times not bad. Then when she said it was a great summer Minerva smiled bigger. "That's wonderful. Did you get to go anywhere?" Hearing about others summer was fun. She was glad that everyone seemed to have a good time. When it turned to questioning her she fidgeted a bit thinking Hadley already knew about her stay since Tillstorm did, but her face lit up at the word festival. "Oh yes, it was so much fun. I can't believe I hadn't been to a wizarding festival yet." That being her first one, was interesting and just great. "Ethan took me and we just had a blast. Were you there professor?" She felt her face warm saying Ethan's name, but it wasn't like a secret they had been together for over two years and connected at the hip while here at school.

Hadley smiled at the old habit comment. They were hard to break, there was no denying that. Like the peppermints. "Like you said, old habit." She grinned cheesily about the peppermints. "Healthy for you and they leave you with a minty fresh breath." So it was a win, win. Plus it gave you just enough of a sugar rush.
Of course it was a long train ride; even if it wasn't, well, it still was. The ride from King's Cross to Hogsmeade station was never short in distance. "You know, there's other ways to prove boldness and daring, besides risking the daggers of Lafay's glares." Really, there were. "But thank you."
Hadley just nodded cheerfully, as the topics turned to the summer again. "Definitely good surprises." But again, she wouldn't say what. Perhaps later in the term; definitely before the girl graduated she would tell her. For now though, it would remain a mystery, as to those surprises. "I actually didn't do too much travelling this Summer, besides spending two weeks home in Italy, with a ... friend, which was nice. You remember my nephew, Pao? Saw him. He's doing great." Nod, nod. Did she know about the mysterious man in the photograph? Fina didn't know, but well, she didn't want to say anything either. Don't tell more than necessary. "Then I basically just hung around London for the remainder of the Summer with the same friend. Mostly Muggle London." Because you know, students in Diagon Alley. "Except for when we ventured into Diagon Alley to check out the Festival. It was definitely a good turnout. Very exciting happenings there."

You're looking quite sharp with that new badge." She beamed at the seventh year. "Have a seat. A peppermint humbug too, please." Fina indicated to the candy bowl.

This appointment request was surprising, but she supposed it was to be expected. Second years didn't typically want to meet with her until the end of their year though, as they looked over the elective options for their third year.
Either way, she was pleased to meet with Tobias, no matter what the meeting was in regards to.
Opening the door, almost promptly after the knocks, because you know with this new appointment thing, she was good at predicting when they'd arrive, she smiled warmly at the all-too bouncy second year.
"Good afternoon, Mr Tempus. I trust lunch today was high in corn syrup." She said, of the assumption at least. She wouldn't know, considering how she was off of house elf produced food for this term, at least.
"Chamomile tea?" she offered casually, figuring it might calm his nerves some. Taking her own seat, she indicated to the seat in front of her desk for him to take. "So what can i do for you today?"

Corn syrup? That didn't taste very appetising, but Tobias gave a large grin as he entered the office and sat down. "It might have been, Professor!" MAYBE. He didn't really question what was IN his food, as long as it TASTED good. Was she remarking on his ENERGY? Probably. It was what a lot of people noticed about him first.
He took the seat Professor Hadley gestured to and made himself comfortable whilst he considered the tea. That was the stuff that tasted a bit like straw and the way lavender smelled, yeah? And you weren't supposed to put sugar in it. Maaaaaaaaybe he'd pass. "I'm okay for now thanks, Professor Hadley."
Right. Anyway. What she could do for him. YES. He sat up a little straighter and began to talk.
"Well Professor, I had this idea at the beginning of summer, about school and stuff. Basically, last term I kind of realised that I could actually do quite well in school in stuff, and I never believed that before. At my old school things were just so boring." And he was a little TOO bouncy and wild. "And I decided that I would really really try, y'know? I'm not naturally super smart or anything, so I'm going to work really hard to get the best grades. But..."
He paused and shifted in his chair a little, apparently unable to sit still.
"Well, I kinda am up against some stuff, personally. Like at home and all that stuff," Tobias waved a hand dismissively, blah blah blah, Hadley wouldn't be interested in that, unless the school somehow already knew. "And I've always had a problem focusing for a long time and being too... bouncy." Why was he saying this? He wasn't sure. Maybe to make Professor Hadley aware... or whatever. "But that's not the point. Thing is, I kind of noticed last year, with all that... stuff that went on..." Dementors, ice cream, anti-ice cream, yada yada yada. "That... well anything can happen really. And I want to be super prepared. Because, like, what if something happens in my OWL year and then I end up totally not prepared? Because I want to get at LEAST 9 Os in my OWLs." And now that he had his heart set on it, the thought of not managing that was... not a fun thought.
"So I thought I'd try and... get a head start. On the theory stuff. Try and get prepared as early as possible, just in case anything happens in the future that gets in the way, 'cause you never know. If I know loads of OWL theory stuff by third year, I can spend way more time on the practical bit, 'cause that's WAY harder," Tobias finished, realising he'd been kind of shuffling further and further forward in his seat in his enthusiasm and his desire for Hadley to understand what he was getting at and that it made SENSE to him.
Blushing slightly, Tobias moved back in the chair again and gave a sheepish grin. "Sorry. Got carried away," he said, but he was still grinning. "I just... I want to do really well for once, you know? I wanna prove I can do well."
He didn't say who he was proving it to.
"Anyway... does it... sound like a good idea? D'you have any advice?"

As soon as Wade heard the familiar click sound from the door before him opening, his whistling ceased. Cool. He smiled back at his Head of House as he was welcomed in, he was in quite an enthused mood today."Hello, Professor Hadley! How are you? Was your summer good?" At the mention of his badge, Wade briefly looked down at his badge.. yeah, it became a temporarily little habit to make sure it wasn't slipping whenever mentioned. Since he had only worn in for a mere two days. Heh. "Thanks Professor, I honestly wasn't expecting to earn such a title." He ruffled the back of his own hair as he could feel the room getting just a tad warmer."I.. very much appreciate getting the opportunity and everything, though. Thank you so much." Afterward, he sort of blinked as he remembered about his gift.
"Erm, I also had this gift I've been working on.. Since you first helped me with my career options," Wade then took the carefully wrapped parcel from one of the inner pockets of his school robe to offer it to his Head of House. "I kind of took up knitting from my girlfriend and especially after Mr. Firth's.." It had just occurred to Wade, how he hadn't dared mentioned his name since, well, from what happened. He cleared his throat ignoring the familiar drop in his stomach. "Er.. well, I had been hoping to finish it before the summer.. but I didn't realize the amount of time it took," He sort of laughed before he waited to see what Professor Hadley thought of it.

Hadley smiled at the old habit comment. They were hard to break, there was no denying that. Like the peppermints. "Like you said, old habit." She grinned cheesily about the peppermints. "Healthy for you and they leave you with a minty fresh breath." So it was a win, win. Plus it gave you just enough of a sugar rush.
Of course it was a long train ride; even if it wasn't, well, it still was. The ride from King's Cross to Hogsmeade station was never short in distance. "You know, there's other ways to prove boldness and daring, besides risking the daggers of Lafay's glares." Really, there were. "But thank you."
Hadley just nodded cheerfully, as the topics turned to the summer again. "Definitely good surprises." But again, she wouldn't say what. Perhaps later in the term; definitely before the girl graduated she would tell her. For now though, it would remain a mystery, as to those surprises. "I actually didn't do too much travelling this Summer, besides spending two weeks home in Italy, with a ... friend, which was nice. You remember my nephew, Pao? Saw him. He's doing great." Nod, nod. Did she know about the mysterious man in the photograph? Fina didn't know, but well, she didn't want to say anything either. Don't tell more than necessary. "Then I basically just hung around London for the remainder of the Summer with the same friend. Mostly Muggle London." Because you know, students in Diagon Alley. "Except for when we ventured into Diagon Alley to check out the Festival. It was definitely a good turnout. Very exciting happenings there."
Old habit or not she liked them. Giving the professor a smile she nodded to her comment. "Plus peppermint is a natural muscle relaxer, so they would help during say a student maybe being stressed out in your office so probably a good thing to keep around." Not that she was nervous, no way, at least not today. It was just a friendly visit that she had always enjoyed each term. How she would miss these little visits, but that was months away, no need to start thinking about that now.
Minerva listened and nodded, "Yes avoiding those glares would probably be the best the rest of term. I do not want to find myself near her wand, those dungeons, or plants together again." ever.. ever.. ever again. Even with treatment over the summer her memories were still around. Shaking her head she knew she wasn't even thinking of Lafay when she first did it, just Tillstorm, but that voice had almost made her jump in that new grounds keepers lap. How awful would that have been. Some way to start off seventh term as prefect that's for sure.
Minerva listened and a smile grew on her face. "Italy? I have never been, but I bet it's lovely there. Did you do anything fun?" Oh and Pao, Min gave another smile and nod. She liked Pao he was fun. She hated that he didn't stay more than one term, but that was life now wasn't it. Something caught Minerva's attention.. said friend was used twice. Was this friend a boy.. Did Hadley have a boyfriend.. Minerva so badly wanted to ask, but this was her head of house and that was none of her business. Even though she wanted so bad to ask and make it her business.
Seeing her glace Min followed her eyes to a picture.. hmm said friend? Maybe? "If you don't mind me asking, is that a family member of yours Professor?" Brother or not family at all.. Boyfriend professor? So she would know how it felt to miss a boyfriend.. like she was this term, but professors could leave when they wanted couldn't they? So probably not the same. Oh well moving on... "Did you enjoy the festival? I wish I could have seen you there." That would have been fun and all, but her and Ethan did have a good time just being together.

And he was a little TOO bouncy and wild. "And I decided that I would really really try, y'know? I'm not naturally super smart or anything, so I'm going to work really hard to get the best grades. He paused and shifted in his chair a little, apparently unable to sit still.
"Well, I kinda am up against some stuff, personally. Like at home and all that stuff," Tobias waved a hand dismissively, blah blah blah, Hadley wouldn't be interested in that, unless the school somehow already knew. "And I've always had a problem focusing for a long time and being too... bouncy." Why was he saying this? He wasn't sure. Maybe to make Professor Hadley aware... or whatever. "But that's not the point. Thing is, I kind of noticed last year, with all that... stuff that went on..." Dementors, ice cream, anti-ice cream, yada yada yada. "That... well anything can happen really. And I want to be super prepared. Because, like, what if something happens in my OWL year and then I end up totally not prepared? Because I want to get at LEAST 9 Os in my OWLs." And now that he had his heart set on it, the thought of not managing that was... not a fun thought.
"So I thought I'd try and... get a head start. On the theory stuff. Try and get prepared as early as possible, just in case anything happens in the future that gets in the way, 'cause you never know. If I know loads of OWL theory stuff by third year, I can spend way more time on the practical bit, 'cause that's WAY harder," Tobias finished, realising he'd been kind of shuffling further and further forward in his seat in his enthusiasm and his desire for Hadley to understand what he was getting at and that it made SENSE to him.
Blushing slightly, Tobias moved back in the chair again and gave a sheepish grin. "Sorry. Got carried away," he said, but he was still grinning. "I just... I want to do really well for once, you know? I wanna prove I can do well."
He didn't say who he was proving it to.
"Anyway... does it... sound like a good idea? D'you have any advice?"
Might have been!? Tobias didn't KNOW if he consumed excessive SWEET FOODS that morning?!? WENLOCK, no wonder the Hogwarts population was so susceptible to being POISONED with tainted ice cream and having time stolen from them. THEY were NAIVE. It was really a good thing she switched subjects, because evidently her Badgers NEEDED her closer to them .... to EDUCATE.
Thoughts trailing off, she was barely listening as Toby just spoke .... and spoke ... what was he talking about again?! No tea. Okay. Something about doing well on his owls and he could do well at school, but distractions might happen, duh. But that was why she was here, to help them stay focused.

"Everyone has potential to do well, and well, as a Hufflepuff, you should know that a little hard work, WILL pay off." Because hardwork totally won. "But I think that's a brilliant idea. It's never too early to start planning, because then you totally have more time to figure out what exactly it is you want to do. Which if you don't figure it out by the time you graduate, that's OKAY too, but maybe you'll have some direction...."

"My summer was wonderful, thank you for asking," Fina smiled at her prefect. And nodded when he thanked her for the opportunity. "Of course, of course. No problem. We think you'll do great." We, as in collective staff of course, since he was more than just her prefect. It wasn't every day when Hufflepuff saw brilliant leaders rise from the dust ... two years in a row.
Oh. GIFT. Knitting?!? "Oh... that's really not ... you didn't have to..." She said, but before she could say more, she swallowed when he trailed off at mention of last year's groundskeeper. Nice lad, he was. Pity bad things had to happen to good people. But then as her thoughts flickered away from Wade, he presented her with the gift; a badger onesie, was that?! "Oh. Oh. It's adorable, thank you!" She was flattered, truly, by his thoughtfulness. And how cute it was. Pajama party in the common room?
And now for the true reason for his appointment; even though the gift was probably one of the reasons.... Career options. "A few questions, yes, of course, you may. Go ahead." She smiled warmly at him, waiting.

She smiled at Minerva's random input about peppermint being a natural muscle relaxer. Of course she knew that. "Naturally," she winked, at the unintended pun too. "But yes, peppermints are good sweets to have. Good for digestion, as well."
She nodded when Min agreed about avoiding the glares, Lafay's wand, and basically any chance of being in the dungeons with her again. Pity that potions was mandatory for pretty MOST career options. But that was a lesson, so it was different. And Lafay was definitely gifted in the field, there was no denying that.
Moving on though, away from unwanted topics, because there was nothing else to say about the Potions Mistress, really. Italy. "Italy is lovely. You would like it. If you ever have the chance, I highly recommend visiting there." Or you know, perhaps after she graduated, she would take Minerva there and show her around. Once she wasn't her student anymore, at least. But they had time to plan or discuss that, later in the future.
Oops. Perhaps she was a little TOO obvious in looking at the handsome gentleman; her prefect noticed. Feeling her cheeks warm, she smiled at the question. There was no avoiding that question or lying about it now. Was he family? No. Not by blood anyway. And not in the other way yet either. "No, he's not family." She reached for the framed photograph of her and her sisters instead, as a distraction from the gentleman. "I only have two sisters. This is my older sister, Leanne, or Lea. she's Pao's mother, actually. And this one is my younger sister, Alexandria, or Alex. She works at the British Ministry. Both were Ravenclaws." Actually, even the gentleman was a Ravenclaw, so well, lots of Ravenclaws in her office.
Moving on though. "The festival was great! I didn't get to spend as much time at the various events as I would have liked, but I got to see the animals, and then the rest of the time pretty much was spent at the funding station." Which was a major distraction from seeing the other events, since she spent most of the rest of her time there chatting with former students. "You have fun there?"

MHMM. "Mhmm!" Tobias nodded his head enthusiastically and bounced energetically in his seat, not even realising he was doing so. "And I'm gonna put in a LOT of hard work." So it would REALLY pay off, right? Right.
He kept nodding, and then stopped and grinned. "Oh, I know what it is I want to do. I want to be a professional Quidditch player when I leave school. But yeah, actually, I was thinking about after that, or in case that doesn't happen. Keeping my options open, you know?" ALSO Tobias so far had no idea what he liked, other than Quidditch. Well... Ancient Runes and Astronomy were pretty awesome, but what could he DO with those?
Anyway, attention was wandering, so Tobias quickly snapped back to the moment.
"Books would be amazing, professor. I had been hoping that I'd be able to visit the library a lot this year, and get books from there, but it kinda costs a lot to keep going in there." The odd visit was fine, but not every day, like he'd been planning, or to keep going back and renewing books or whatever. "As well as books, I guess... is it okay to just kinda check in with you every now and then. Just, I dunno, chat about stuff. Like if distractions were to happen." Tobias was being vague, and he knew it, but it seemed important to ensure that there was indeed a safety net of sorts both here and at home.

She probably told her that before, well she at least assumed she did.
Watching as her hand went for a different picture than the one Min questions she listened. “Oh you all resemble each other. Are you close?” She would love to be close with siblings, but.. changing her thoughts she looked again at the picture. Pao’s mom, well she could see a resemblance. “What does she do in the ministry if you don’t mind me asking? Ravenclaws, Minerva nodded, “So were you the first none Ravenclaw?” That probably was hard if she was, but there was nothing to be sad about being a puff. Her eyes floated back to the other picture. Now if there is one thing everyone knew about Minerva, but she would never admit, she was nosy and she didn’t let things slide. “So is this one the friend you went to visit?” and blunt, but Hadley’s facial expression and blushing had all the right arrows to saying it was the person that she visited and Min just needed to know.
She was glad Hadley had fun at the festival. She had fun herself. The amazing rides moving around and the games. “It was my first magical festival actually. So it was a great time.” Oh the funding event, yeah she should have went there, but they ran out of time. “Did you go on any rides? Ethan and I went on the magical carousel, it was so much fun.” The seventeen year old felt like a five year old talking with so much excitement. Did she have a good time? Did she have a good time? Oh course she did. “It was a great time actually. Ethan and I went on plenty of rides, and the food was good, plus he won me a cute teddy bear I got to bring with me this term.” She enjoyed having that bear with her to remind her of the fun that went on over summer.

Wade was happy to know that Professor Hadley had a nice summer, and was doing well too. That was great to him. He also felt touched truly over the potential the staff saw in him "Thanks, Professor." Yep, he was truly grateful of the opportunity.
"Noo, I insist." Wade beaming was not taking no for an answer on his giving. His face looked very expected after she took it. He hoped she liked it. He practically beamed after seeing her reaction. "You're welcome Professor, they're really comfy and great during the winters." He nodded, him and the rest of his friends that he gave could testify as well. Heh.
Now it was about the careers. "I've thought a lot about playing Professional Quidditch after graduation." Wade said to start off, "After last term, and then my summer interning at the Quidditch shop." His brows furrowed slightly as he tried to put these words together to sound proper. "Well, I still haven't ruled out Wizarding University, though. I had been looking into deeper studying with hippogriffs.. Is it possible to do both? Like attend there while playing?"

Ethan and I went on the magical carousel, it was so much fun.” The seventeen year old felt like a five year old talking with so much excitement. Did she have a good time? Did she have a good time? Oh course she did. “It was a great time actually. Ethan and I went on plenty of rides, and the food was good, plus he won me a cute teddy bear I got to bring with me this term.” She enjoyed having that bear with her to remind her of the fun that went on over summer.
So Minerva was set on University then? Yes, she recalled that possibility, but good to know her mind hasn't changed. Uni for healing? Maybe. "Germany. I admit, while I've been there, I haven't spent enormous amounts of study there." Not much going on there for an Arithmancer, you see. "But I like Italy more. You know, many famous artists came from there." And of course there was Rome - no city in the world was as powerful and lovely as Rome, in Josephina's mind anyway.
They resembled each other? Fina's cheeks flushed again. "I suppose we're pretty close... closer now than when we were younger, for sure. I'm only four years younger than Le. And Alex is only a year younger than me." So yes, they were pretty close. "I'm not really sure what exactly she does in the Ministry... she refused to tell me anymore than 'space-related' tasks. She's an unspeakable, you see." She shook her head. Crazy Ministry employees. Hmm? Oh, it seemed there was at least one curious (and persistent) badger in the room. "Yes. Yes. He is the friend." Friend, yup. Best friend, perhaps, even.
Did they go on any rides? "Er.. no... we didn't go on any rides. We mostly just walked around and talked. Caught up, you see." But it was nice all the same, to get out and about. Enjoy the warm Summer air.

It wasn't like she was REALLY going to refuse the gift. He had made it just for her and as unnecessary as it was, still, it was thoughtful and appreciative. "Of course," she smiled again, appreciatively. "I'll keep that in mind."
Now. About careers. "Professional Quidditch is highly selective though. Of course you've got the talent, from what I can tell, but I'm no quidditch expert. But from what I know, it's a full-time commitment to play professionally, once recruited that is. It's more full-time than simply playing on your house team here at Hogwarts." So about his question now. Doing both. She didn't know. "I suppose it's possible.... but you may want to only attend University on a part-time basis as you may find yourself more overwhelmed playing professionally. Unless of course you only made the reserve team for a professional team." She really didn't know though, the ins and outs of how professional quidditch worked. "If you're serious about Professional Quidditch though, you'll probably want to speak with Professor Tyner more about the requirements."

Tobias was being vague, and he knew it, but it seemed important to ensure that there was indeed a safety net of sorts both here and at home.

Rummaging through her top desk drawer, she pulled it out and held it out for him. "Here; You might find this useful in budgeting your time. It's a homework planner." Very popular among the muggle schools, but wizarding children found them useful too.

"Seriously?" he grinned. Like, he got to keep it? "Yeah, this'd be so useful. And so... organised." Would this be IT. THE DAY he became ORGANISED? "So like... I get to have this?" Tobias looked up, a hopeful expression on his face and his eyes twinkling.

Sarah was curious to know what the professor was going to peak to her about. When she had these one-on-ones with a member of staff it was usually her that came with the agenda. She was an initiater after all. But now she had nothing specific in mind. A million possibilities of what was to be discussed was on her mind. She was not worried about what she was going to say, as Sarah was never at a loss of words. Maybe she should ask the professor about bringing her kindle and using it in the technology room? Sarah began to pace, she always did that when she was thinking. After all, her mind was travelling so far, how can her feet get left behind.
oops. Sorry Felix....... let's wrap this up? *blushes*

Surely it wasn't that difficult a question as to what else besides quidditch, was it? But the lost look on Tobias' face said otherwise, so Josephina simply waited ... as he spoke. Okay. Runes and Astronomy. At least he had SOME options other than the elective sport. "Yes, Professor Botros and Flamsteed are great, aren't they?" She replied, smiling. Gosh, she missed sitting near them, but perhaps it'd be for the best. Maybe the runes position wouldn't be ... cursed then. "But Runes and Astronomy are good. There's quite a few career possibilities then.... perhaps involving both of them, even."
His reaction was just priceless.
"Yes! Of course you can keep it. That's why I'm giving it to you. And the best part is ... at the end of the year, you could wipe it clean to start over for the following year." Hadley explained. "Just a little magic is all it takes." Nod, nod.

She was going to protest, yet decided not to, if she was in trouble she would not do well to protest about going in first after the professor made a statement about Sarah going first.

PROFESSSORSAY WHAT? Sarah's eyes lit out and her beam widened. "Really?" she asked incredulously. "ME?" she asked again, she needed to pinch herself. Maybe it would have been better had she sat down. "WOW, totally unexpected" well not really, she had dreamed about it happening, yet she knew that hoping was all she could do so she was not 100% sure about it actually happening, and it was good to be humble and not let her hopes up.
"I watched them... they were brilliant... the participants especially those from Hogwarts were brilliant.. I am honoured to be able to represent Hogwarts, and I will work hard to ensure that they did not choose me in vain. Do you have tips for me? Like how to memorise which letters represent which numbers.. there must be a trick to remember that." Sarah was nervous, yet she was excited at the same time as she loved challenge. She was a lion after all..m ready to fight for her pride, well the pride of Hogwarts and to ensure educatin for the future.
Sarah was beaming now, "thank you professor, I love arithmancy, I always found maths fun, and arithmancy links my two favourite worlds, language and numbers so well. Can you tutor me for Arithmancy? Is that allowed?"Sarah hoped so, "the current arithmancy so called professor and I don't see eye to eye on many areas, and each time when I am in his company it is trying for me to keep my indignation in check"
Laura had made arrangement to go and see Professor Hadley, because she had to ask her for some advice. It had been nice talking to the Headmistress about things but she wasn't sure about her head of house because well they hadn't got on well in her first few years but things were changing and Laura liked her head of house now she just wasn't sure what her head of house thought of her.
*knock*
Laura knocked on the door and then looked at herself in her small mirror making sure that her appearance was smart, she wanted to make a good impression.
