When you first enter the library, you will immediately notice an adequate sized table set-up in which you can register your attendance at the auction and can show off your "Favorite Book Character" costume. You're encouraged to take one of the "Hello, my name is ..." stickers on the table, write your name and stick it to your shirt. At this table is also where you can drop off book and galleon donations for the library reconstruction. Remember, adults must donate five galleons or a book to get in; students must donate 8 sickles or a book.
At a second table, perpendicular to the main one, is a table for members of press to sign in and check their equipment.
If you are a guest, make sure you smile; you never know when one of those press people will snap your photo and you'll want to make sure it's your good side!

So Penelope was here in the library for the first time this term. It was kinda weird, and she didn't really want to be here since the last time she was here was when it was set on fire. But they got to dress up so she decided she could stop by. She had to get Atticus to somehow find her this Juliet dress, and she didn't know how he got it, but that didn't matter. And of course, she didn't have a Romeo, but that was okay. She could work just fine with this on her own.
She set down a book of Romeo and Juliet - which was also sent to her by Atticus - on the table as the whole payment entry thing and grabbed a name tag, which she wrote her name on and then stuck on her dress. There. Now...she should go get some of that food, yeah?
Atticus entered the library carrying a good-sized box of books of various kinds - mainly a number of books on magical creatures, but there were a few fiction books mixed in there as well, including a couple comic books which he had taken from his older brother - and set it carefully down with the rest of the books people had brought. He was not a very avid reader himself, mostly preferring hands-on experience, but he did still like them well enough every now and then, and hearing about what had happened to the Hogwarts library saddened him greatly, especially knowing there were students like Penelope as well as professors in there during the fire. It was lucky none of them had gotten severely hurt or worse, like those other two poor professors.
He had almost decided not to dress up as a character - he simply wanted to wear a suit, bring some books, attend the event, and enjoy himself - but at the last minute realized, thanks to his brother, that he could do both. So with an added pair of glasses, he was Clark Kent, Superman's secret identity. Perhaps he could finally congratulate his brother on coming up with a good idea.
In addition to the books, Atticus paid the galleons requested for adults to attend - every little bit helped, yes? He was willing to do as much as he was able to help out. He then grabbed a name tag, wrote his name on it, and put it on.
What to do now? Check out the auction? Grab some food? Hmm.

... There she was. Josh's girl. And she had Josh on her arm. Cassandra kept thinking to herself she shouldn't have come. This had been a mistake but as she turned to leave... she saw him...
Nik... He was there. And although there had been some heartache over the children, she always remembered the first time she saw him and Lee in the halls of Hogwarts when she was a first year. "Lord Vannacutt." She said and gave him one of those rare smiles that she reserved for her children. "Fancy seeing you here..." and without a date... then again, he was probably of the theory it doesn't matter who you go to party with, but whom you leave with. "Who are you dressed as?"
Nik turned at the familiar voice, and smiled a smile that didn't quite reach his eyes at the sight of the woman who had smashed his heart all those years ago. That was 10 years ago now, and they had the children, yet despite the countless times they had encountered each other since, he was still not quite over it.
"You're not supposed to be able to tell," he said, pulling the white half mask off his face, "Erik, the Phantom." he explained the mask away, "As I had intended on making a donation then promptly leaving."
He cast an appraising glance over her self, as he hadn't seen him in quite some time, "How are you, Cassandra?"

Alice was totally going to that auction with her Gramps, mmhmm. They didn't have any super special things, only Quidditch Through the Ages and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, two simple books that the library probably had tons of copies of. But WHATEVER. She was excited. She was going to win a broom, yep, that signed Firebolt 600 was HERS. Never mind that it would probably cost a fortune, never mind that. She needed a broom, a school one wouldn't do. And she wanted that one.
"C'mon, Gramps, you're going so slow," Alice complained, tugging on his wheelchair.
Sherman was excited, too, mind you. Not because he wanted to buy anything, no, it was because he had donated an item. A TOAD. And toads were cool. And.. well.. someone was going to buy it, right? Because that toad had been donated with love. "I'm coming, dear," he assured his granddaughter, pushing the wheels of his chair faster. Once they reached the table, he turned in the two books. He then filled out one name tag for himself and another for Alice, sticking one to her tooth costume and one to his carrot one.
Auction time? Mmhmm.

Contributing for a worthy cause such as the much needed rehabilitation of the Library was something the Vanderbilts take special pride in, being the kind of family that they are, and have donated quickly and generously-- new library furniture, new and replacement books titles, distinguished auction pieces they would hope would fetch a good price-- anything in the effort to get the hollowed hall back to its former glory.
Of course what Corin didnt expect when he accepted the invitation to the event was that there was a dress code, the kind he'd usually expect from Muggle Halloween. He felt he has earned enough silver hairs already in fact his entire head to gracefully decline that minor detail and dress sensibly as a man of his stature. But when his contacts informed him that even illustrious members of the Board was making an effort to dress up... well suffice it to say he begrudgingly started to alter his coat to come up with something that could pass for a costume.
So there walks in the Silver Fox dressed as another silver haired character-- the Elven King Thraduil of Mirkwood, created by a genius named JRR Tolkien. Would anybody amongst here recognize it? Well he made sure Tolkien's complete works and works based on his work were part of the books they donated. Ignorance in this regard is definitely not bliss.
He set his 5 galleons down (since he assumed his contributed books are safely tucked away somewhere in the school already) took a name tag, and with his named penned in stuck it to the left side of his chest. Now that he was here.... he was rather concerned about the extent of the damage. He still considered this place his home away from home after all.

Oi! He has forgotten how difficult it was to move around in this thing.
Salander swaggered in the door-- yes thats how he usually walks, but may have been even be more noticeable today since its been a while since he wore this costume. But today was a day where he does what he loves-- he gets to wear a costume, he gets to visit Hogwarts AND he gets to visit his old NAP room. Which he heard burned down....
... too many darned books he always said. Fire hazards they are. And see where it got them eh eh? Thats what they get for not listening to the former Head Boy.
He walks right past the sign up table-- because he's used to walking past tables that require registering, plus his PA did say whatever it was that needed to be handsomely contributed has been done and he just needed to bring his own handsome self to grace the event. Simple instructions, easy to remember. Yup he can handle that.
"'Scuuuuuse me..." he drawled as he parted the crowds with his armoured hands, noisily clunking his way further into the hall. "Huh.... definitely a lot less of them fire hazards... good good!.... Now where them La-Z-Boys?"
Yeah thats what crazy is, when its broken you say theres nothing to fix++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++And you pray that everything will be okay, while you're making all the same mistakes
Food...there was usually a table of food at these kind of functions, yeah? The blonde held her magnifying glass up to her right eye and began scoping the place out. She really should have brought some gummy worms with her because honestluy, she didn't think dying of starvation was a good thing... especially during a school function.
...BLINK.BLINK.BLINK.
Who was that that Ella spied with her green eyes? WAS THAT KURUMI?! Like...Sir Lewis' Lady, Kurumi? Like...COOKIE KURUMI?! BEAM! The fifteen year old badger hurried in that direction, a wide smile plastered on her face.
"KURUMI!" Wave. Wave. BLINK.
Was that...but...he was here? SIR TREYEN WAS HERE TOO?!
The blonde just kind of stared from one to the other, her mouth slightly ajar. This was...THE BEST DAY EVER! Group hug? Ella thought so!
"SIR TREYEN! KURUMI!...You're hereeeeee!" And Ella tackled hurried over to wrap both graduates in a bear badger hug. BEAM!

"Not fair that you still make me blush," she mumbled as she tried to find something else to do with her hands to distract...which ended up being poking his mustache. "We spent a lot of time in here...didn't we?"
It had turned out to be their place which, now that Kurumi knew more, was rather ironic that it was a library where there were BOOKS and BOOKS meant that a certain someone wasn't able to happen to spot them and make more sweeping accusations. Okay, so maybe Kurumi wasn't being fair, but it was hard to shake all the years of glares. Even if it was for someone she cared about as much as she did Treyen. He was like family.
Poking at his mustache with her index finger a few times, Kurumi couldn't help but laugh. "You ever thought about making that look perman---"
OOF!
Kurumi had just barely heard her and Treyen's names being called out before someone had come at a mad dash from somewhere and caught the pair of them up in a giant hug. Smashed together, Kurumi slowly turned her head to see, "Ella!" Somehow freeing one of her arms, Kurumi returned the badger's hug and the look of confusion on her face faded to a happy one. "Just arrived." And it felt good to be back.
The former Hogwartian looked around the area to see who else was here that she knew and spotted a certain couple that she was glad to see still together. "Josh! Evelyn!" Kurumi called while waving a little with her free hand. It was too bad Walnut wasn't here too. He would have loved to see Evelyn them both she was sure.

Man, Treyen couldn't help but smirk at her comment. "Not my fault," he said, as he added a wink of his own to go with his words. Though, technically, it was his fault, what with the winking and the words and stuff. But he decided to say it wasn't.
Heeeey, his costumeeee. The former Hufflepuff only wrinkled his nose a little and said nothing on the poking. "I think you were the only one I spent so much time in the library with" he said, after finally writing down his name on the tag. True, he was like once or twice with Lexi here, and Fletcher, and that one time with Dallin alongside an incident involving books, of course, but ultimately, it was always Kurumi.
Can we also point out that the statement above didn't happen on purpose? And that the fact that Ellie couldn't step inside a library was no reason for it to happen, either? It was just a coincidence. Thank you. ^^
Oooookay, Kurumi....what?! No, he wasn't very fond of mustaches, you know? So, making this permanent was a NO. But just as he was about to answer...
'SIR TREYEN'
BEAM. "Miss Ella!" The only little badger capable of such tackling hugs. Group hugs, too. Though, it took a moment to get separated from both of them. "I am!" mustache and everything, "And you look similar to someone from a book I recently sent."Wink.
He was taking a wild guess, of course, but she did look like her. Plus, she said she wanted to be like Nancy Drew. Soooo...., "If so, then I'm your assistant today," because it couldn't be the other way around, Watson.
AJKFNGYUGBVSJKNFCGFUCNHJBDJFHGBD!
"Where have you been?!" That was the greeting Keefer got. And it wasn't until now that Treyen noticed the costume and chuckled, "I remember that," he did such a wonderful job in their play, too.

Althea wasn't COMPLETELY pleased that this was a costume event, and as a result she'd been... liberal in her application of said costume. Call it a creative adaptation. It wasn't her style to blend in though, she wasn't a shrinking violet, so her Hester Prynne? Was certainly....
eye catching, but all the same, for anyone who had read the book, they ought to recognise it for what it was. She was, she reflected as she arrived, more of the letter itself than the character who actually had to wear it.
She paid with a book of course, A Discourse in Medieval Alchemy. She wasn't alone either.
"Put your book on the table to pay, Kyroh." She said to the little boy whose hand she was holding. "Do you want to write your own nametag?"

As she stepped back she noticed her friends name tag was upside down, and it had her maiden name on it. Looking over at Carter she grinned at him. "You know, I bet your wife would use her married name if her husband didn't look..." What was the word she was looking for here? Stupid, goofy, childish? "...like a candy cane." Seriously, he was running for a spot on the Board of Governors, did he really think dressing like that was going to win him votes?

"Yeah. Very sad. If you're into that kind of stuff." She gave her husband's arm that she had been holding onto a little pat pat pat..
.. only to almost lose hers when Marie pulled her into a hug. She just.. wasn't expecting that. That's all. "Marie!" she gave her best friend's back a pat pat pat before pulling away and glancing around. "Where is Matty?" Was he not coming? And if not, did her best friend have enough money on her to bid on everything she wanted?
Ehh, if not, she would just make Carter get it for her. Yup.
And speaking of Carter.. Destiny couldn't help but burst out laughing. She may have just ignored the fact that she had used her old name on purpose. But really, writing down a new name took a lot of getting used to! Sometimes, she even spelled it wrong. Not that she would say that. "He doesn't look like a candy cane. He's Waldo. And I found him." Again.

Waldo was it? Leaning into her friend she whispered, "I wouldn't brag too loud about finding... him," she said as she glanced over at the candy cane Carter. And just as she glanced his way someone else caught her eye.
"EVELYN! JOSH!"
Yes, she just yelled past Carter!Cane.
Carter blinked a few times at Destiny. "I mean... the library was... destroyed. ... and it still looks like a library to me." ... seriously. If Destiny was going to tune him out... she should learn to do a better job. She typically said something that made less sense than that when she was paying attention. Just saying.
gave a look of mock offense. A candy cane? He was WALDO! Pfft. At least his awesome wife got it. He... wasn't sure why he specified. He only had one wife. One wife who was getting a kiss on the temple just for knowing he wasn't a candy cane.
"Yes. You did. Very good job, Dear." he said giving her side hug and a quick kiss to the temple. ... and then he casually left his arm there. Because... HE COULD! Married life was brilliant.
He then turned his attention back to Marie. "What? No hug for me?" he asked. Destiny got one. He should too.
He then turned on the spot as Marie shouted to Josh and Evelyn. THEY WERE HERE! It was like a proper reunion!

William wasn't sure how long he was going to last in this costume he'd picked out for himself. It was actually something the dragonologists used when moving around baby dragon eggs. Sorta. So while he felt at home in the outfit, he didn't feel at home in the outfit in the library.
Maybe he could just get by with not talking to anyone for a while. Yeah... that'd be a solid plan. It was beyond bizarre to be back at Hogwarts in the first place, much less in the library where had RARELY been...
He quickly dropped off his book, The Real Dragologists of the Romanian Shore, which obviously featured the character/costume he was wearing in it, and then hurried on in to the auction place.

*To say Matthias Gardner "Matty" did not like parties was a major understatment. But he was here for his wife. He knew that Marie had been wanting to go to this fundraiser together badly. Sadly it fell on a day when he had to do a meet and greet for work. Thankfully the plans fell apart. Even though he hated these things he rushed over to be with his Marie. But in rushing he left his training shoes on. They did not go with the suit he had on and knew that Marie would point it out. He knew that she wouldn't be mad but poke fun at him for it.
Walking up to the table Matty donated enough to pay for half the castle to attend the fundraiser. Looking down the table he smiled and saw the most beautiful woman, and it so happened to be his wife. Once he saw her he didn't notice anyone else. Walking up behind her he sneaked an arm around her and kissed her cheek.*
"Surprise..."
*Finally getting a look around Matty saw what looked like a large human candy cane. Great Merlins pants it was Carter as a human candy cane man by the look of it.*
"Hello Destiny, and... Carter. Lovely to see you all again."

He knew she had forgotten! His spidey scenes had been tingling.
Kyroh knew how to spell her name! Right? He boy's eyes widened slightly before they completely shut and he scrunched his face up. Thinking. Sliently pronouncing her name his face quickly went back to normal and he nodded eagerly. "It's Al. And tea. But with an h." Kyroh said finally. Did she understand?
Grabbing another name tag he carefully spelt exactly how he saw it. A-l-t-then the h-e-a. It wasn't exactly straight, but he hadn't written his straight either. He was even about to stick it on her too! But then he saw a problem. "It's gonna mess up your costume. Do you want me to wear it for you?"
Dash had gone to see what was up at the auction but it wasn't anything he wanted. And so he had made his way back to the table in time to see Spiderman and.....Hester Prynne enter.
Taking in Althea's....attire? Costume. Er-Yes. Dash smirked, managing to tear his eyes away from his girlfriend to his son for a few seconds. "Looking good Mister Parker".
Only a few seconds.
"...And.....Interesting choice...perfect thing to wear for someone who's name has been dragged through the mud." Compliment? Insult? It was Dash, both were the same thing. Either way, he still couldn't tear his eyes away.

"...And.....Interesting choice...perfect thing to wear for someone who's name has been dragged through the mud." Compliment? Insult? It was Dash, both were the same thing. Either way, he still couldn't tear his eyes away.
"Perfect." She said, watching Kyroh write out her name and spell it perfectly. He was such a good kid and smart. Oh hmmm. That WAS the downside to nametags. Well she did intend to keep Kyroh with her the whole time so his idea would work. "Okay you can wear it for me, good idea."
She looked up at Dash when he came over and offered a genuinely happy smile, pleased to see him and of course doing a bit of looking of her own. Through the mud? She raised one brow. "Mmhmm. I rather thought so." She closed the short distance between them and dropped a relatively chaste kiss on his cheek.
A little mud for Zorro.

He still considered this place his home away from home after all.

gave a look of mock offense.
Oh look, the candy cane talks, and it wants a hug. Fine, she could be nice... for a minute.
Turning on the charm she smiled at Carter!Cane. "Well of course you get a hug." Slipping an arm around him she gave him a squeeze. She might have even sniffed him a little too. He sure didn't smell like a candy cane.
Stepping back from him she smiled at him. "I hear congratulations are in order. Running for the Board of Governors. Don't tell me our oblivious little CarterCane is growing up on us." It just made her wonder, did the boy really know what he was getting himself into here?
She didn't have much time to wonder about that though when...

Someone came up behind her and kissed her. She didn't even have to hear his voice to know who was behind her. All she had to do was smell his cologne to know it was her handsome husband.
WAIT!
Her HUSBAND!
"Matty!" she exclaimed as she turned around towards him. "I thought you had to work. What are you doing here?" Not that she minded him being there. In fact she was quite pleased to see him. She was just a tad bit surprised was all.
Merlin help her, he looked scrumptious in that suit.
*Matty smiled and gave her a look over. Yep it was a very good idea he came, other wise he would have missed how beautiful his wife looked tonight. After all these years he still felt that tumble in his stomach when ever he saw her smile.* "I did but it got called off. So I rushed here as soon as I finished reading the twins a story."
*Even though he was gone a lot he made sure to read Noah and Emma a story before bed every night. If he ever missed or were late the two would hunt him down and beg him until he did read to them. But he would never miss that appointment. Leaning down he made it look like he was kissing Marie's cheek again but he really whispered. Why is Carter dressed like a Christmas treat?*

He was tempted to take out his glasses as he surveyed the parts of the library that survived the fire when he heard someone speak to him-- or at least call him by the approximation of the character he came as "Yes I am Thranduil..." with an N mmhmm "And I am honored to be in the presence of the Lady of the Golden Wood." he said with a slight bow of his crowned head, in reference to her character she came as.
As he raised his head a warmer smile took the place of the earlier more solemn one. Thranduil can be such a stuffy stuck up after all "I'm pleased to meet you Sky... interesting name he thought. He abandoned any other modes of Elven greeting lest she gets confused and instead opted for the more familiar handshake "Corineus Vanderbilt. But please just call me Corin." He angled his head at themselves, finding it interesting that they were inspired by the same tale for this event "Are you a big fan of Galadriel? Or of any of Tolkien's works?"
Yeah thats what crazy is, when its broken you say theres nothing to fix++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++And you pray that everything will be okay, while you're making all the same mistakes

It was odd being back. Not exactly back at Hogwarts, more back in the country, since his lovely reason for having stayed in America for the past several years seemed to have calmed down. At least, nobody seemed too concerned about what he was doing anymore, so Covington was planning on taking advantage of that. That was what he did, after all. He found opportunities and pursued the ones that seemed most intriguing, and elections were always intriguing. Not to mention they seemed like a good way to get to use one of his particular skills, and he knew something like this was bound to bring those lovely candidates out of the woodwork. Not to mention it was a good event, helping out his old alma mater, and he’d made sure to bring a book as the Prophet had suggested. Not exactly a research-type book, but it went with his outfit. Since he’d decided he was going to follow another of the paper’s suggestions and come in costume, and the first costume he’d thought of was someone he aspired to be.
Except for the part where there was that tragic ending. Covington didn’t do tragedy, just as he didn’t do interrogations. That was in his past, though, and now was time to make his presence known. He wasn’t going to go looking for the people he was after, though. They were going to come to him, and that’s why looking dapper was good. Except the tie. He didn’t do ties either. First he had to actually make his way into the room, anyhow, so he set the leather-bound copy of The Picture of Dorian Gray down with all the other books piled on the table before scribbling his name down onto one of the silly nametags.

"Favorite Book Character" costume, Juliet found that hard. She read a lot of books and most of which she has a favorite character in it. So it's not fair to just choose one, right? But then all she had to do was to pick one random favorite character and then she can be happy with it. Juliet doesn't really mind. Books are fun, especially the fictional ones--- and especially the ones written by muggles. They have the most amusing and yet intellectual imaginations written in ink. Brilliant. Walking over to the table, she spotted a familiar teacher, Professor Botros. He's one of the new professors. On her hand was a greek mythology book, hence why she her costume is also part of the mythology. Quickly glancing over to the professor's book, she read out "Sherlock" and then as she finally realizes that she just said it out loud, her hands immediately covered her mouth and looked at the professor. "I'm sorry..." she apologizes "I'm a big fan of mysteries as well" and then she quickly took a nametag and wrote her name on it. As well as putting her book on the table.

Auction, who doesn't like that. Plus it's held at Hogwarts too and that's even better. Jonathan of course could not wait to apparate from his university to join in this activity. Now, let's just hope Alexander is not to be seen in this party. That would be dangerous. The man doesn't really know where he goes nowadays.
Walking inside the library, of course he felt the most nostalgic thing ever. He hasn't been in the library for most of the time when he was here but Jonathan definitely miss it, ALOT. He's quite excited about the auction too. He can't wait to bid on something. He then took the nametag that is provided on the table and scribbled his complete name in it. That'll do. ohhhh, plus the book. He almost forgot, he took out a copy of the One Thousand and One Nights. He read that, all of it. He's pretty much proud of himself and now, he's donating it.
The good thing about being a slow walker is that you easily see and hear who wants to talk to you, and who's donating a valuable mythology book. Botros paused with his cane one step ahead of him and smiled widely at the young girl, "Cupid." How cute, he was wondering whether she knew exactly what Cupid was and what kind of myth it resembled and what the exact background was. Not that he'd bore her to death in this fine day.
Laughing lightly, Ab patted her shoulder, "No worries, miss Kim. I like mysteries as well. Would you like to walk with me over there?" He inclined his head at the seating area where his knees always pushed him to go.

It was easy to know who to come with, right? Especially since THIS was their place. The library. So, when Kurumi asked this question, his smile widened, "Considering I'm with you...then excellent!" because it was still the library, and it sort of felt like home, you know? Probably not the same if he'd come with Arya.
Either way, at least Ellie will be happy he was giving a few lots of books away, right?
Back to the favorite book character...he never got to choose, his conversation with Ella about favorites and books came to mind when he found out about this 'event'. Which brought him to think of those detective books, yes? Instinctively, he thought of Sherlock Holmes, but he didn't want to pick a favoriteeeee, so...why not dress up as the supporting role, eh? And his least favorite character, yeah? Dr. Watson. A SMART Dr. Watson, mind you. Mustache included (that was the real costume). The clothes were easy to find, too, because it was mostly a suit, and the wardrobe people took care of that for him. So, now he was a more modern Kingsley.
We're also taking a tag.
OOC: Yeah, think Jude Law's Watson.
... on their way to the seats, Botros glanced a very convenient character that could go with his own. He waved his hand at the young man in greeting. He seemed to have a crowd around him already, and the pinky promise girl was jumping around too. Ab smiled warmly at her even if she didn't notice.

Cassie strutted through the library door feeling extremely nostalgic about walking through Hogwarts again. She never thought she would be doing this again any time soon but here she was.
Of course she thought about dressing up but decided against it. There was nothing special about getting dressed up as someone else when one was in the modeling field so Cassie turned up as a witch...namely herself.
She waved at Marie, Matty, Carter and the others but didn't walk over right away. Name tag first, catch up later.
Wait did she just stop Jonathon?

Lex couldn't help but laugh...and laugh...then laugh some more. She didn't think it was possible for someone who hated books as much as her to somehow end up in one. And if she did she knew for a fact that she wouldn't read it. "And I couldn't agree with you more. Life's at least a zillion times more fun when cool stuff happened." Which was why she was beginning to question her own sanity for wanting to come here. Books weren't exciting, they were average at best and not at all things she wasted her time on. It wasn't until she watched a Professor walk by that she remembered. They would be auctioning them off and she might have wanted to buy one. It wasn't like she knew what she'd do if she got one of them for a day but the fact was that they were available and being available was all the reason she ever needed for wanting something.
"It's a pleasure meeting you young lady." He extended her hand for her to shake. So she was another Gryffindor...interesting..."That's an interesting costume." He commented. "Can I ask who you're dressed as?" He read, but he had a select few genres he read from and that character was obviously not on his small list.
"Oh I'm here for the food and the auctions! I couldn't care less about the books." Reading. Meh. There were too many other things to do for her to ever pick up reading as a hobby. "What about you?"
Sarah agreed. "I love living on the wild side of life." she said to Alexa as she reached over the desk to get a Name Tag. As neat as possible (she wanted others to be able to read it) she wrote

and she put in on her. "Are you going to put a tag on?" she asked Alexa.
As the man pushed out his hand to shake, Sarah shook it politely and replied looking at her costume and putting her bonnet back on "well, I am dressed as Laura from the 'Little House on the Prarie Series'. Have you read the books? I read a lot, there is a wealth of information and enjoyment to be had from reading," yes Alexa "I especially like historical fiction, that is why many of the books I read are from the 19th and 20th centuries. I have a lot of favourite books so I chose this one as it was simplest. I know Alexa does not enjoy reading though - different strokes for different folks as my mother always says, yet do you read?" said the reading addict who talked too much.
Turning back to Alexa she said "well, I am here for it all. I don't really have the money on me to auction, yet it will be entertaining. Then I am a major foodie so I will like the food, there are desserts too, although I am not a big desserts fan, yet hopefully there are sweets as well and then I like reading and books and I like to help out in the library so I really like the cause. Speaking of which - when are we going in? I am STARVED"
