Come now maybe there was something he could do with the book? If was just a bunch of numbers that was kind of like Arithmancy then there wasn't anything to hide. "What have you figured out from it then?"

He looked to the book then back at Gwendolyn. Why was she being so distant about a bunch of numbers? Oakey just had to know.

Sutton just looked at him for a moment, noticing how awkward he had suddenly become and giggled a little. Pushing him lightly, she laughed and said, "Ed... you know when a girl says something like that, you're SUPPOSED to say that she doesn't NEED to spend hours getting ready because she's already beautiful." Still laughing, she shook her head lightly

"Yum!! Yes, those are two of my FAVORITES! By my most favorite is a flavor called Moose Tracks... it's got these little tiny candies in it that are peanut butter inside and chocolate on the outside!" she explained. Now she REALLY wanted some ice cream. "Well, yes, obviously with chocolate sauce on it! Though, typically I prefer hot fudge to chocolate sauce!" Sutton said, nodding her head in agreement.

He looked at her questioningly when she giggled, but blinked at her response. He was meant to say what? Her gentle push didn't even make him break stride, but her words definitely threw him. "Oh, uh. You don't need to spend hours getting ready because you're naturally beautiful...?" He attempted to claw back some dignity on that subject.

Moose Tracks? Looking slightly horrified and disgusted and a whole lot bewildered, Ed listened to the explanation. Ew. Peanut butter. "Well, I suppose if that's what you like..." Eugh. "I can agree on hot fudge being awesome, but chocolate sauce always wins out."

She did like him back. Better than just put it in words, Ariadne decided to show him. Her small hands still clasped in Jory's larger ones, the girl stood on her tiptoes and kissed him briefly and delicately, before re-opening her eyes and looking back at him. 'Believable enough?' she smiled, all of the earlier nervousness completely gone.

Ari had no idea how this would work out, but she was very eager to try. 'So we're giving it a try, right? See where it takes us.' Could she actually start calling him her boyfriend from now on? That felt absolutely surreal.

Oh, yes. They were allowed to go to Hogsmeade this weekend. 'Are you asking me out?' Like on a date? Her first date EVER?! Dear Merlin, what will she wear? How should she do her hair? Where could they go? Stop this. Ariadne berated herself. The boy hadn't even answered yet. Maybe it wasn't a date. Though she'd rather it were, obviously.

Sutton giggled again as he repeated word for word what she had said. "Well, it doesn't mean anything now cuz I TOLD you to say it, just keep that in mind for future girls," she said, shaking her head. You would think someone like Ed would be really, really good at impressing girls. After all, he was really nice, but maybe he just didn't feel like he had to impress girls to get them to like him... maybe just being himself was enough to catch their interest in his world.

As he pulled a face about her favorite ice cream flavor, she smiled at him, "What? Don't like peanut butter?" she asked him. "Well... it doesn't really matter what flavor it is, honestly. I'm not picky... just as long as it isn't chocolate ice cream and it doesn't have nuts in it. I like peanut butter but not nuts..." Sutton explained in a matter of fact voice.

Maxwell was taking a walk down the pathways, clearing his head. Taylor losing her memory after things moving along in a different direction for them...he wasn't sure how to feel about any of it.

So he walked the paths humming a song.

Taylor had a tear-stained face since she just came from talking to Damon... it, of course, turned out horribly. Tay glanced up and saw Maxwell which instantly brighten her day, "Hey, mind if I hang with you fr a few moments?"

Maxwell smiled hearing her voice. "Yeah, of course..." He said seeing her tear-stained face. "What happened? Are you okay?" He asked her.

Tay glanced up, "Just a run-in with Damon but seeing you brighten my day." She smiled up at him, "I remember everything that happened with Damon and I am starting to remember you completely as well." Taylor laughed.

Maxwell wiped her face where the used to be tears. "Well, forget him.." He said smiling as she laughed and told him she was remembering him. "All good things i hope?" He asked wondering what exactly she remembered about him.

Tay laughed and smiled up at him, "Very good things." She nodded. "There are a few hazy holes though..." Taylor looked at him, "THat I was hoping that you would fix..."

Maxwell smiled and nodded. "What can i do to help?" He asked kindly. He wanted to help her remember all that she could. He was still curious as to what she knew about them.

Tay looked up at him, "I cant remember why we broke up nor what happened at the estate..." She grimaced.

Maxwell sighed. "Well, we broke up because we just kinda drifted apart and started to change who we were because of each other and it wasn't working...and soon after that you started seeing Damon and I started seeing Min.." He said with a shrug. "By the estate i'm gonna assume you meant the other night...you kissed me, and told me you had feelings for me again, I was the guy you were talking about liking at the willow.."

Taylor nodded, "Okay..." She looked at him then gestured, "And me liking you isnt awkward to you?" Tay titled her head in confusion, "Or is it and you just hide it from me?"

Maxwell shrugged. "It was at first...but i like you too..i kissed you back." He sighed. "But we decided that it was best for us to see where it really went until we were over certain people..."

She nodded and then her eyes widen as the memories came back. Tay blushed, "Okay... yeah I remember..." Taylor smiled and glanced down, "You are still handsome, Maxwell." She glanced up and kissed his cheek, "Thank you for helping me."

Maxwell smiled seeing her remember. "Thanks, Tay...you're still beautiful.." He said and smiled at the kiss on the cheek. "I'll always help you.." He said and gave her a little nudge.

Taylor blushed and smiled at him, laughing at the nudge. "Thanks, Max." She held out her hands, "You helped me alot... I feel... almost normal." Tay giggled.

Maxwell took her hands. "Good, although i've always found normalcy a little boring..." He said with a shrug. Neither of them were quite normal, and he was fine with that.

Tay giggled and rolled her eyes, "I meant normal for me." She smiled and looked into his eyes, "You are amazing... thank you for everything you have done." Taylor smiled at him.

Maxwell laughed. "You seem normal for you.." He said looking back into her green eyes. "Thanks...and you're welcome, look whatever happens with us i'm here for you okay?" He said with a kind smile.

Taylor smiled, "Good to know." Tay laughed and nodded, "Okay. I cant ever thank you enough, Max." She stayed close to him.

Okay, so it was clear that hadn't worked. He smiled apologetically at her and put his hands into his pockets. "Sorry, doesn't mean it's not true though." He looked down at her, hoping she'd understand that he truly meant she didn't need to spend ages getting ready. Each and every female was naturally beautiful to him, it was just that most of them didn't know it.

"Eh, not really." He shrugged, not understanding people's peanut butter obsession. Ed nodded at her not being picky. That was good, being picky didn't make life easy at all. "I think I understand. I like nuts, but not peanut butter." It just tasted different to him.

Maxwell smiled. "You don't have to thank me for anything, i do it because i care about you.." He said and sighed just a little. "Tay...After all this i'm not sure we'll work again, and it doesn't have anything to do with your memory loss...it's the secrecy of it, it's driving me mad...i hate not being able to talk to mom or Ariana or someone about things and i think if we tell them they won't be supportive of us...besides i think you deserve someone a little better than me.." He said not wanting to hurt her but he'd just had so much going on...
