Dylan went round the greenhouse to find his final herb, maybe one with an unusual name or something just to finish off the table with some power. He walked around as he noticed that quite a few people were finished now and were just wandering around the greenhouse, lucky them he still had to find one more herb to finish off his before he could go wondering around to have a look at the other awesome plants that were in the greenhouse. He also wondered what they would doing next when he walked past a plant that had a strong smell to it

He decided that this plant would be good enough to finish his table off with afterall he didn't want to spend the rest of the time they had looking for some other herb when this one had caught his nose eye. So he looked through the book to find this plant, it had feathery type leaves or whatever they were. With some bright flowers, ok yeah this one in the book had flowers too but the leaves were different so not that plant. He continued looking until he found what plant it was and finally he completed his table



Now to go and have a wonder around to see the other awesome plants that were in this place, if only they could have worked with some of these cool looking plants.

As he finished with the first one. He moved to the next part that was the next herb. He looked around for a few seconds to see if he knew some more of them. In a corner he saw two herbs that he knew. He moved closer to them and began scribbling again.



as he finished writing about the second one he looked at the third plant.

Offering the Slytherin beside her a warm smile, Beezus then began filling out her Herb Table with information about the Moly plants. She personally took a liking to this certain plant because of its unique characteristic in counteracting certain enchantments. It proved to be exceptional amid its simplicity.

Maybe she should bring a moly wherever she go, no? Just a precautionary measure against Dark Wizards and such. Heh. And maybe it could repel of annoying people, Slytherin males in particular, into bothering her?

Yup, that seemed like a good idea. Hehe. She made a mental note to ask the Herbology Professor if she could pluck a few after class. Hopefully, the mental note would stick until then.

Emmanuelle wandered around the greenhouse for a bit, looking for her next herb. She thought would be easier than this, what with all the plants around and everything. But, then you also added in the other people doing the same thing, and that made it a little harder. Eventually, though, Em did find another one. Hmm... it looked kind of familiar. Definitely wasn't a cooking herb though. Looked like some one would give to a cat.... catnip! That's what it was! Em made note of this and moved on.

Moving from those the purple coneflowers Vickers turned to another flowering shrubbery, glancing at his book several times to make sure he was identifying the right one. He peered closely at the leaves, and then at the stems and the flowers that extended beyond clump of shrubbery. Yup, looks to be Valerian

Herb Hunting. Hmm..maybe not as easy as Nessie thought it would be. As soon as instructions were given out, the red head got to her feet and began searching. She was supposed to be good at this stuff, most Hufflepuff's were, but Ness well she didn't really have much reason to go looking for things. She just tended to remember where she put her belongings in the first place, and as for her pygmy puff getting lost all the time, she had just given up with him.

Right now was not time to be looking for Puffles right now she was looking for herbs. Renesmee scanned all the plants and pouted as she did so. There were so many to look at, and so many that were not even recognizable. If only they were labeled, the names would have helped a lot! This was supposed to be a challenge though and getting spoon fed was no good, not in your OWL year.

Aha! Something she recognized.

Smiling from knowing at least one herb, Renesmee headed over in it's direction. It was a thyme and the only reason why she knew about it, was thanks to her cook at home that used it a lot in food. They even had some thyme growing at home. She eyed the herbs and then pouted some more as she went into thought again. She was like that for a few moments and then she took out her quil writing what information she had come up with.

Minerva left the lavender and moved on to another plant. She looked at the plant and thought she recognized it from her books, but she had never really seen one that she knew of. Looking into her book she was curious of the body of the plant more than the leaves, but didn't want to touch it and get into trouble.

Taking out her parchment she began to write what she had found and what her book said were the uses. She really hoped that before she graduated they might get to work with these plants, Minerva thought it would be so interesting to see what they would sound like. Without thinking she began to extend her hand towards it, but quickly took her hand away and finished writing on her chart.

After writing down about the mint, Orr went around looking for another plant that was a herb.

She found another herb that she knew from home- Chamomile.

She quickly wrote everything down before moving on to finding the next herb.

Arabella-Marie smiled to herself and started to wander about the greenhouse with a bit of parchment ready to note down any familiar herbs she smiled when she got to one she recognised and noted it down on her parchment

After finishing her notes off with the thyme, Ness looked around at the flowers some more. One particular plant had caught her eye. It was purple and green her two favorite colours. She headed over to take a closer look only to notice it was actually a very well known and common plant that she herself even knew.

It was Lavender! One of the best smelling herbs ever. Nessie loved Lavender, it was just so soothing and relaxfull. Taking one quick sniff of the lavender scent, Nessie began to smile. So calming and so peacfeul, that was excactly what she felt around this herb.

Making a mental note to get some lavender for her bedside table, Ness got back to writing down notes. This time there was more she could say. She liked this plant more.

Next Orr walked around just admiring the plants carrying her parchment. Then she smiled when she came across her favorite flower- lavender. Too bad that it wasn't a herb. Biting her lip in thought- she finally realized that it was a herb!

She quickly wrote it down on her parchment

Arabella-Marie after finishing with her first herb moved on quickly looking for her second herb she quickly found another herb that she recognised and made sure that she wrote it down on her parchment

Enough of the lavender for now. Nessie really didn't want to go away from it, in fact she loved it so much she wanted to take a whole bunch with her. That didn't seem like too much of a good idea though, and the fifth year decided it was better to ask Professor Bentley for permission before she did so. She'd do it at the end of the lesson though, now she needed to finish her work.

Not too far away from the lavender, there was a really horrid looking green and slimy plant. Ness knew what this was. It was Gillyweed, or at least it looked like it was Gillyweed. It had to be! There was no other plant Ness had ever known to be as slimy as gillyweed.

Without getting too close to the Gillyweed, Nessie eyed it and pouted as she began to wonder whether it was really a herb or not. It was used for only one ting really, but that thing seemed like it could make a gillyweed considered a herb.

Oh well. She would write it down, and if it was wrong then maybe Herbology just wasn't her thing.

Arabella-Marie quickly moved on to find her next herb and it did not take her long to find it and smiled and got ready to write it down on her parchment

Terry tended to favour the culinary herbs that his mother placed in her cooking. They were herbs that they grew in their kitchen garden and so their familiar sight and scent immediately attracted the boy to them. He wandered over to the plants after completing two rows of his table. His eyes scanned over the plants until he came across a small blooming plant that he decided to study.

It was Thyme, he knew that from first appearances and so he looked at it for a few seconds, brushed the leaves gently with his fingers and then, once satisfied that he had seen enough he headed back over to his desk.

The table was lying there, half completed and begging to be filled in. He picked up his quill and started writing down the brief notes that were required.

Two more herbs! That's all she needed and seeing as sitting too close to Gillweed was no fun, Ness got moving again in a matter of no time. She couldn't spot anything eye-catching at all this time and so she began to look at each plant more intently. It ought to help with recognizing at least some of the plants.

Hmmm..This plant looked just a bit familiar too. Maybe it was another common one? Or maybe she had just seen it around. Nessie looked at it more closely. Dittany. That's what it was. Of course, she had remembered reading about it once, which was a surprize because as much as she loved reading, edcuational books wasn't what she enjoyed. It had to have been something she was looking for when she came by it. Either way she was glad to know some details about it.

She placed her quill back to the paper and began writing some more.

Just next to the lavender was the bay leaf plant. Orr was almost certain that it was a herb but she wasn't a 100% sure but she decided to take a chance

Arabella-Marie had just two herbs to find and then that was her done and ready for the next part she looked about the greenhouse when she found a familiar herb that she knew well

It was time for Terry's fourth herb now and as he headed back over to the plant area, he was really starting to think how much he loved Herbology. It was something he was good at, something that he felt that he could pursue as a career later on in life, depending on how Care of Magical Creatures went.

The smell hit him as soon as he neared his next plant. It was pleasant but it was a little too girly for his liking. It was something his grandmother would wear which sent a shudder down his spine. He hated it when she just came up to him and gave him a smacker on the lips. Eww.

His notes were once again brief but full of enough detail for the Slytherin to revise later on with. Lavender had its many uses but it certainly wasn't one of terry's favourite plants.

Ells was doing pretty well, already on the hunt for her fourth plant. After checking her text once more, the third year's eyes feel upon a greenish, shrubby-looking plant nearby. Ohhh! That was Dittany! Ella had read a lot about that particular herb, noting that it was used to help heal wounds. The badger walked over, observing it more closely and carefully running her fingers along the leaves. She figured she definitely wanted to add this particular plant to her chart, knowing that it was an important herb to know about.

Pulling out her quill again, she began to scribble down notes.

Arabella-Marie was walking about the greenhouse looking for her last herb when a familiar scent came across her and she smiled and got her parchment ready to note down the herb

Plant: Mint
Apperance: Green Spiky Leaves
Uses: Mostly used in cooking and in muggle chocolate

So... hunting for herbs... that didn't sound too bad, did it? The only problem was... he didn't really know much about herbs apart from some of the flowers and ingredients that were used in cooking. So if he went to search around and come across one he recognised... he could get this done a lot quicker than inspecting plants individually to see if they were a herb or not. ... Right? Yeah.

The fourteen year old ruffled his hair before starting to make his way around the greenhouse carefully. He didn't want anything weird getting in his hair eyes. And some of these plants... could be dangerous. You know, if they were in a greenhouse that housed plants that could bite your head off.

... Whimper.

Alec bent down and started sniffing the nearby plants because with some plants... you could tell what they were by their scent, right? And some looked very similar! And- hey, that smelt minty! Alec grinned widely and stood up. Filling in table time!

After writing down his answer, Daichi continued to walk to find a new herb. He was so in to this task that he had momentarily cut off everything what happened around him as he searched.

Spotting some little yellow flowers on the other side of the room, the Slytherin decided to check it out. Who knew if it was a herb or not right? Passing students and a working space table he finally came to the plant and he checked what the name was. It seemed to be a Fennel.... He wrote his answer on the paper.



He then bent down to get a closer look when he was suddenly pushed or someone bumped against him accidentally and fell forward in to the flowers.

Letting out a yelp in shock, Daichi used his hands to break his fall and landed rather softly amongst the flowery herbs. Gaaah this was embarrassing! Quickly turning around and grabbing his parchment and quill he saw Beezus grinning and saying something. "Hello to you too..." he said awkwardly as he tried to get up. "Can you help me up please?"

With a textbook in hand, Selina suddenly felt like she could do anything. The herbs were just going to find her now with this information at her finger tips. So, with the book of power in her hand, she started to look around the greenhouse for the herbs that she had to find. There were big plants, small plants, round plants, tall plants, fat plants, skinny plants, red plants, green hue plants. Every type of plant imaginable.

As she looked around the room, she saw a rather odd looking plant. It looked sort of like a herb, at least from what the book was telling her. But the closer she got to the plant she scrunched her nose. It smelled horribly bitter. The plant was a really offensive yellow. The closer she got the more bitter the whole air became...

...she flipped through the pages and found the picture that correlated- wormwood. Ahah!

The dittany wasn't catching too much of Nessie's attention. Her attention instead was drawn towards the lavender herbs again. She went over to them smelled them somemore and then only noticed a shiny leaved plant nearby.

Bending down she smelled it too. It smelled good, like food.Yes! Like pasta..like pasta pesto, which was made with basil. Ahah! This had to be basil then. Nessie took one more smell from it and then nodded her head as she agreed to say it was.

After a little bit of thinking over the plant, Ness once again wrote down her notes. When she was done she went back to her seat and patiently waited for more instructions.
