Maxwell nodded. "Love is a curious thing..." He said sure that it was the root of all his problems, but at the same time it made him feel so alive and free.

Yes it is and I'm only a second year i know how feels to be heart broken.so did ya work things out with her because you seem a little happy.Also down in the dumps at the same time.I think its best for some alone time for you she smiled.

Maxwell nodded a little. "Yeah, we worked things out it's just I-" Did he really want to unload so badly he'd tell everything to a stranger? "I'm not sure she's happy and that's all i really want for her." He said with a sigh.

Actually I'm her cousin By Adoption.Shes Davids adopted daughter so that kinda makes it someone to talk to.Well My couisn is happy i think she needs love ,someone to make her happy.you make her happy ive seen it with my own eyes.

"Okay Evelyn, no need to kill me. No one said anything about me, alright." He sneered. He couldn't believe she was so... rude and stupid. Really. She was that stupid not to realise that her outburst meant that there CERTAINLY had been some rumours about him too. He couldn't believe he dared to compare her with Louisa--

Moving on.

Looking COMLETELY indifferent when she brought Louisa up, he shrugged. "It was her problem if she was jealous about my female friends." Yeah. There. For all he cared, she could tell Louisa about his indifference. Unlike some people, he had his emotions FULLY under control. Hah. Even if he was broken into pieces on the inside.

Moving on.

"I guess that's the honourable honesty of Hufflepuff. Throw a dirt at people, leave people in doubt so that they will break others' hearts while Hufflepuffs themselves live in peace, thinking they did the right thing. I see clearly now, thank you Evelyn, for opening my eyes. I sincerely apologise for any inconvenience I might have caused for letting peole think for once on their own."

There, he was done with her. Bowing exaggerately, he turned to his ahead and closed his eyes once again, listening to the birds.

Maxwell smiled a little. "Thanks, I just don't know if I'm really what she wants right now or if...." He couldn't get the words out of his mouth that maybe she wanted Damon instead. "But then i look at this." He said showing her the love knot knowing she would know what it meant. "I feel like she wants me..."

Evelyn really wanted to wipe the sneer of his face. Ugh. How could a guy be so freaking annoying? Her hands were itching to reach for her wand in the pocket of her jeans..but she was a Prefect now and she couldn't afford to do something stupid. So. She just looked ahead, trying to ignore him..

..which was quite difficult because of his next few words. "First of all, she's your girlfriend. Obviously, she would be jealous if you were talking to a girl." Was he really that stupid? "Second of all, YOU didn't even have the decency to tell her that we were just friends. In fact, I met her at the end of last term and told her nothing was going on..she was real nice about it." Honestly, what did that girl see in him? She made a point to ask Louisa the next time she met her.

"Seriously, WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!?" Evelyn stood up and glared down at him. "You know, I don't even understand why you're being such a jerk. I've been nice to you since the beginning..but all you've done is insult my house.." Which was just disgusting, honestly. "..and insult me." Yeah, she was hurt. Really hurt. She didn't like people insulting her house..it was just horrible. Taking a deep breath, she continued to stand, expecting an apology..which she sure wasn't going to get.

Maxwell nodded. "Yeah, I do too. I love her..." He said staring at a topiary and rubbing his thumb against the love knot, off in his head a little.

Aww! Yay! This was going to work out nicely! It was about time Anya made girl friends too!

Anya nodded. "I'd like that. I hear there are all sorts of things to discover about Hogwarts." And since they were both going to get lost, they might as well do it together, right?

She nodded. "It was a lot of fun. And hard work. I hope I make it again this term." She nodded. "It didn't end up being too bad. I crashed, and he helped me up. And then he went on to win the Championship." she said ending with a wide grin. Yup. Her best friend. He was probably the best seeker Hogwarts had ever seen.

Hehehe. Brooke liked Anya she seemed nice, and nice people were Brooke's favourite.

"I heard that too, Ive found a few stuffs!" Like that scary statue that she didnt ever want to encounter ever again. "Its better to get lost with someone else than it is to get lost by yourself." she nodded her head to confirm what she'd said.

"Having fun is good!" Brooke nodded, this was true. Well; she thought it was. Hard work wasnt so much fun, Brooke wasnt good with any time of work. "N'aww, he sounds like a good bestie then." Not as good as Dar obvs, Cos Brooke thought Dar was the best bestie EVERRR! "Maybe you can win this year and then it'll be fairsies!" That seemed fair to Brooke.

Maxwell stood up and walked over to a nearby topiary, hoping to calm his mind. He had a splitting headache that would not go away.

Ronnie walked down to the Topiary Garden, her kitten Oliver bounding after her. She looked up at the sky. What a beautiful day. She sniffed in the fresh air and saw Maxwell by himself by a topiary. He looked rather bothered. Ronnie frowned and walked up to him. "Hey, Maxwell." she said. "Are you okay?" she asked.

Maxwell smiled a little. "Hey, Ronnie...Yeah just a headache." He was lying of course, something he never did until the beginning of summer and now it was so natural. He did have a headache but it was more than that.

Ella skipped down to the Topiary Garden in search of her favorite topiary, the elephant! Something about it made her feel quite calm, and small, and happy. Placing her hand over her eyes to block out some of the sun, she spotted the large topiary to her right. With a smile on her face, the second year headed towards it.

When she got to the elephant topiary, Ella looked around before getting down on the grass and laying underneath it. What a perfect spot to enjoy some shade. Placing her hands behind her head, Ella let out a happy sigh and closed her eyes. Not a bad spot of a nap.

Ronnie frowned. "A headache? Aw, I'm sorry." she said. "That sucks. Well I hope it gets better." she said. She hated headaches. Well....who didn't?!

"So what have you been up to?" she asked, taking a bag of jellybeans out of her pocket and eating a few. "Want some?" she asked, handing the bag out towards him.

Hannah stared at the girl for a bit and wondered if maybe she was truly dense. Hannah did not offer up her name for a reason. She thougth she had made herself pretty clear. If Hannah went up and introduced herself and that person did not return the favor then she would get the hint and leave. I mean sure she would most likely give them a piece of her mind, but nevertheless she would get the hint. Were all Puffers this slow? Maybe this is why Hogwarts seperates the students into different houses. Could you imagine a pack of Puffers living your dorm? EEP! That would be horrible. She had a vision of a yellow pack running amuck in her dormintory. She shuddered at the thought. Thank goodness she was a snake...she couldn't deal with it. Come to think of it Soapy probably isn't even a pureblood. The shame! Still she couldn't help but to be a bit curious as to how this would all play out. "Names Hannah." She still did not offer her hand. This foolish girl was not worthy of a handshake from Hannah Marie Lockwood. Yes those Lockwoods!


Was she really full out laughing at the joke Hannah made at her expense? She already regretted telling the girl her name. What if she went around and told people that they met? What if people actually thought they were friends? What if she actually thought they were friends. She heard the girl tell her again that her name is Sophie...as if Hannah didn't get that! "You do realize I wasn't making a joke...Soapy." Evil smirk. Truth be told Hannah was kind of enjoying herself, and the best part was that this girl still didn't even realize that she was being laughed at...not with!



She liked the outdoors eh? Well, Hannah liked the outdoors as well when she wasn't being bothered by people that were waaaay too bubbly. I mean really...how are you going to walk up on somebody that is obviously relaxing and obviously doesn't want to be bothered because they had their eyes closed. Another Hufflepuff might have enjoyed the intrusion...Hannah however did not.
"Well I was enjoying the peace and quiet." That is until you showed up of course. "This is my second year." She said with a raised eyebrow. "So tell me about your parents...are you a pureblood?" she asked like she would ask someone the time. She had better not be a muggleborn!

"Oh, that's a pretty name!" She said with a smile, not minding the looong while it took the girl to answer. "It's nice to meet you, Hannah!" Yep, another Slythie for her friends list now! Sophie didn't know why people used to say Slytherins were mean and evil and whatever else. They weren't anything like that!

This Hannah girl was kind of... slow, though. But that was alright, really!

Um... evil smirk? Sophie blinked a couple of times again. Hannah was not only slow, she was kind of weird too... nothing that bothered Sophie, of course. This Slytherin girl was probably a loner and needed friends that put up with her weirdness. Luckly, Sophie could do that! "Have you ever thought about stage acting?" You know, because of all of those facial expressions she was making. She might be a good actress! Heh!

Sophie nodded at the girl's words. Peace and quiet! That was good, Sophie liked that, too. "This is a really good place to relaxe, isn't it?" She said, taking a seat next to the girl. Since they were already chatting, she wouldn't mind, right? Right!

Ooohhh, second year! "I'm a second year too!" How come they had never met before then?? "I have some Slytherins friends you might know." Even though they weren't second years, but well, they shared the same Common Room and everything! "Angelina Andrews and Zhenya Burton, for example! They're third years!" Yes?

Oh! The girl was coming up with a subject! Cool! But as soon as Sophie heard what she was asking, she frowned a little. Why was she asking about her parents? What a weird question.

Hannah was definitely a weirdo!

Tell her about her parents... alright then. "Well, my mum was a Hufflepuff, like myself! My dad was a Ravenclaw." Pureblood? She really cared about that?? "Um... well, my mum is from a pureblooded family. The Macmillans. My dad is a muggleborn." She didn't really enjoy where this conversation was going now... "What about yourself?" She asked slowly, just to be polite. She didn't really care about these things.

Edric was just sitting on one of the benches at the topiary garden, minding his own business and having some peanuts. He was quickly regretting his snack choice, though, as the saltiness of it began to make him rather thirsty.

But still, there was no getting Edric off that bench, not even the need for water. He was tired and the place was comfortably isolated from most of Hogwarts's population. It was the perfect spot to relax. Until, suddenly, something green snatched the bag of peanuts straight out of the Gryffindor's hand.

Turning in the direction of the thief, Edric's expression transformed from one of surprise to one of 'you've-got-to-be-kidding-me'. The giant, elephant-shaped bush stood by the bench holding Edric's snack with its trunk. The creature then turned the bag over and emptied the contents in its mouth.

Edric just watched with disbelief.
His lunch had been stolen and eaten by a plant.
A plant.

Ella had been taking a nap underneath the elephant topiary when she heard a weird sound. There was a sort of crinkling, like a bag being moved around, and then...was that chomping? Opening one eye first, then the other, Ella sat up and looked around. Huh? The elephant appeared to be moving. No, not moving...eating. The second year raised her eyebrows and crawled out from underneath the plant, surprised that it could eat. "Woah, I didn't know you could do that!" She said, eyes wide. It was only then that she noticed the older boy nearby. "Did you feed it?" She asked, curious. If she could find out what the topiary was fed, maybe she could come and feed it now and again. It was her favorite, after all.

Maxwell nodded. "Yeah me too..." He said more about Taylor feeling better than his headache, the headaches were normal since summer and didn't bother him anymore.

"I've actually been going to classes, which i never do and doing all the homework. It's been hard..." He said with a laugh, thinking of how he avoided class all year last term. "Yeah thanks." He said about the jelly beans with a smile.

Aah, the topiary garden. Paulie liked the topiary garden 'cause it kinda made him think that the animal-shaped bushes and shrubs were like clouds that appeared to be faces and animals and other stuff. And now he got to see them close up. Plus, these topiary didn't lose their shape like clouds did.

After rolling his sleeves up to his elbows, he shoved his hands in his pockets and strolled through the garden at a leisurely pace.

Edric seemed annoyed.
But then again, Edric always was and seemed annoyed. The faces came with being a Scroogey curmudgeon.

The boy was just about to look away from the thief of his lunch when, suddenly, a little girl spoke. Where had she come from? Edric raised an eyebrow but asked no questions, instead listening to her own.

"Psh." He scoffed. "I didn't feed it. It stole my food," he informed her. "That thing's a criminal." Perhaps not yet, but it was certainly going down the road of an Azkaban escapee at this rate.

Louisa was squinting her eyes at the obnoxious tabby ball staring at her defiantly a few feet away. It wasn't a mystery how Louisa got up on this pole, she just used the bench nearby and the vines wrapping themselves tightly around it cutting only a couple of stems on her way. The question was how did her stupid Viola get on the head of that bear tree? HMM?

"Viola... I'm not going to hang in here all day.." her legs were getting numb from being wrapped around the pole for two minutes now... so was her one arm. "Jump over here, come on." She stretched her free arm toward the cat who was still coldly looking down at her owner hanging like a caterpillar to the thin pole, few feet above the ground.

Louisa SIGHED and she held on with both arms, "Fine! Stay there. Just don't jump off like you usually do. It's too high for you." And the Ravenclaw looked down to start her descending journey...

Why did the ground get farther away so suddenly? Louisa looked back up quickly and swallowed.

Paulie came to a slow halt, a smile curving on his lips.

Well, well, well! What did they have here? Louisa Carter, climbed up a lil' rickety pole, trying to rescue her kitty cat. What a sight indeed! "What's this? A wild Helen of Hogwarts has appeared!" He walked a few more steps over to the pole and peered up with a grin as he folded his arms. Yep, this was quite amusing. "Havin' some trouble, Helen? I'd wager that it's tough havin' a pet with the same personality as its owner." Heheheh.
