The Ravenclaw common room is a wide, circular room at the top of the seventh floor. Graceful arched windows punctuate the walls, which are hung with blue-and-bronze silks. During the day, Ravenclaws have a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains. Overhead, the ceiling is domed and painted with stars, which are echoed in the midnight-blue carpet. There are tables, chairs, and bookcases, and in a niche opposite the door stands a tall statue of white marble: Rowena Ravenclaw. A delicate-looking circlet has been reproduced in marble on her head with the tiny words 'Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure' etched into the diadem. The statue stands beside a door that leads up to the dormitories above.
Come in, have a seat and make new friends. Welcome to Ravenclaw!
Tay looked at her sister, "Who is Belle?" She didnt think she had heared that name... except her middle name of course. "Another you? Oh gosh, heaven help us." Taylor laughed and smiled.
Ameliah's eyes widened as she suddenly realized: "Oh! I haven't told you about her yet...she's an old friend of mine, the one who gave me the Fire Chaser broom...she goes to Beauxbatons, half-Veela.
"Ha, ha, very funny..." she said sarcastically. If the idea of Belle scared her...she should meet Fergus.
Ameliah glared at Tay as she moved her rook. "Don't you even," she snarled, suddenly dark. "Y'know, not everyone is that bad. Belle is the best girl in the world." It was a bit of an exageration, but either way Ameliah coninued to scowl, her kind appearence twisted and distorted.
Taylor sighed and looked up at her sister, "I didnt even say anything except 'oh' so why are you snapping at me? Are ya okay?" She frowned and went back to looking at the board.
Tay sighed, "It is just I didnt have good memories of it ever since i decided to switch to here." She grimaced, not sure why her sister was getting defensive.
Ameliah rolled her eyes, trying to contain an outburst. "Well, Belle and Kelly can give you better ones." she said stiffly, not meeting Tay's eyes and staring fixatedly at the board, waiting for Tay to take her turn.
Ameliah thought a while. "Uh, how about-" But she was cut off by a tapping at the window. She looked up to see a very familiar owl... "Ciarán!" she yelled suddenly, rushing to open the window.
Ciarán was a very handsome male owl, with abnormally dark black feathers and glowing yellow eyes that had a certain touch of wisdom. He set out his leg in a dignified way, showing a letter adressed to Ameliah and another, strangely, for Tay.
Ameliah decided to let Tay open her own letter while she read hers.

Hello Taylor-
We haven't met, my name is Belle. I suppose Ameliah has told you about me; I've heard loads about you! In quite some detail, now that I think about it.
The main reason I wrote to ya was to try and know you personally (or at least as personally as I can so you don't freak out when some random girl shows up at your door with Am later in the summer, haha.) and to let ya know something-
Angela said some bratty things about you, and evidently Ameliah too. Trust me, they were the pettiest insults ever: "I heard she has another sister now, one of that Hogwarts riffraff she's associated with," Of course, I recognized she was talking about you (before I go on, yes, this might go on a while! heehee!) and told her off, I said Hogwarts was just fine if not better. She threatened me, aaand I hexed her hard for ya. She'll have trouble talking untill they put her tongue back on, the lousy- well, you get the picture.
Anyways, I really wanted to be able to meet you, so I hope you'll write back. I'm in France with Kelly, so it'll be a while, but I'm still looking foward to it.

Taylor read the letter and had a smile. She chuckled a few times. Maybe she wont be that bad actually...
Ameliah looked up to see Tay grinning at the letter. "Not that bad, is she?" she asked, raising her eyebrows, "And Kelly's like that to!" she added matter-of-factly.
Ameliah thought a moment. "You should see what she looks like, you can tell she isn't French really, it's like..." She rummaged through her bag and brought out some parchment, a quill, and various inks. "This." she said, after a short amount of time, showing her the drawing.
