The Ravenclaw common room is a wide, circular room at the top of the seventh floor. Graceful arched windows punctuate the walls, which are hung with blue-and-bronze silks. During the day, Ravenclaws have a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains. Overhead, the ceiling is domed and painted with stars, which are echoed in the midnight-blue carpet. There are tables, chairs, and bookcases, and in a niche opposite the door stands a tall statue of white marble: Rowena Ravenclaw. A delicate-looking circlet has been reproduced in marble on her head with the tiny words 'Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure' etched into the diadem. The statue stands beside a door that leads up to the dormitories above.
Come in, have a seat and make new friends. Welcome to Ravenclaw!
Presley was confused. She could see how hurt Elliot was, but the Elliot she knew wouldn't care about the consequenses of her actions. She would jump at any chance to destroy whatever was hurting her. "Well, maybe we don't have to do anything permanent per se," Presley responded. The cogs in her head began turning a million miles a second. Maybe, by careful words....Yes, that could work out just the way they wanted it. "Elliot, this will change life as you know it forever, and unless we act, it won't ever go back. You know that, don't you?" Because she sure wasn't acting like it.
Elliot sighed, a little lost at the moment right now. She simply looked at Presley with the saddest eyes...and seemed to give up hope. "No permanent, okay? What does Ms. Black have in mind, though?" as if Elliot were actually interested.
At the next words, Elliot's face turned bright red. "Of course I know this PRESLEY!" she snapped sharply. She immediately regretted this, but she didn't apologize. Instead, she glared out the window, and from a distance, saw a familiar owl coming closer...
The Morganzo's 'sometimes owl' fluttered inside, and Elliot quickly ripped the reply from the owl's beak. The envelope contained a picture of Josie, with a tiny bump, and the reply from Dani. Elliot didn't even want to open it. She threw the letter on the ground. "I'll read it later."

Got all night to see those, right?" Of course. She hadn't planned on getting much sleep tonight. This older girl was alright she decided, and would remember to keep her around when she had more questions. And she WOULD.
"I will be prepared. I plan on doing lots of exploring tomorrow!" The ENTIRE castle, it wouldn't be hard either since she was used to exploring on her own, though it would be tiring with that long walk of hers. She nodded her head. "There was too much, I might start back up tomorrow if I don't get distracted." She would. "Plus I didn't want to get separated from the group or anything."
"I knew it." She mostly spoke to herself and allowed the other girl to finish her explanation. "That's a cool name. Cloud. Nuage." But she wasn't petting the critter or anything. "He sounds interesting. I can't wait for the lessons!" Not because he was interesting, or because it was creatures, but because it was a LESSON.
Honestly, Stella hadn't really even needed Isidora to verify that she wasn't about to rush right up to the dormitories. Even if she liked her dorm, the only reason she'd even been up there was to check on Lyra and to collect Nuage for an hour or so. The past terms, she'd really only been in the dorms herself when she was sleeping, and she smiled as the firstie spoke. "Of course. They aren't going anywhere, and your things are pretty safe, too." She never really had figured out how the staff got the trunks and other luggage for every single student safely to their respective dormitories, over the past few terms. She figured her sister wouldn't know either, and it didn't seem advisable to bother the headmaster with a question like that. It would just remain one of the magical mysteries of Hogwarts. At least the baby elf hadn't ever gotten into her things.
The declaration that the younger girl was going to restart her explorations the next morning was met with another smile. Another moment of similarity, it seemed. At least she knew curiosity wasn't dying out, even if she hadn't really actively explored the last year or so. She still knew where most everything was. "I'd suggest bringing snacks. That way you don't have to worry about getting hungry and being too far from the Great Hall," she said. "And besides, honestly even if you got the entire castle explored one day, things might change the next. That's the fun part of being in a magical castle. Plus, a lot of the paintings can help you find your way if anything goes wrong. Although I'd definitely suggest not looking like a crazy person talking to a wall." Like she'd done her first term here, even if it had helped her meet a couple of people. The Room of Requirement was the perfect example of how magical the castle was, changing to whatever the person who looked for it needed at that time. The decision not to get lost on the first night was a good one, too, for a first year.
She'd grinned at the quiet aside from Isidora regarding Nuage's name, as well, but waited until she knew she was actually being addressed before saying anything. "I certainly thought it was. And she likes her name," she replied, smiling as the puff's humming started up again right by her ear. Apparently she enjoyed compliments, too. The conversation had moved back to Professor Williamson, however, and Stella laughed a little at the girl's response. "He is interesting. Most of the professors here are. I can't say much about the new ones yet, but they look nice. And I'm looking forward to lessons, too." Mostly just as a distraction, but also just because she was a 'Claw. That meant she should look forward to classes, and she honestly did.

Her STUFF. She had all her stuff up there! Maybe she would visit there sooner than she thought. The young girl had wanted to check on her things, it just wasn't a priority right now.
"Yeah we have a long walk to the great hall, and even longer one to the kitchens." It was a whole floor below! "Not one day. I have classes! And studying! And friends!" Friend. She only had the one so far, but still! Her and West still had wand exchanges to do. Dora had so much of everything to do! Castle exploring would be done in days. Or longer if she got tired of walking all those stairs or distracted.
Isidora decided quietly that if she ever went crazy and got a pet, she would name it something cool like cloud in French. Something in Russian. That was the better choice clearly. "One's married to the minister." Did she know? "And our head of house played quidditch when he wasn't really old!" So cool! "I bet his classes are best."

It seemed like something she'd said had gotten Isidora more interested in the dorms, but Stella also could tell that the firstie wasn't about to be talked into leaving the common room any time soon. They had some time before they'd have to, at least, so she merely moved around to an open chair nearby and took a seat, not startling Nuage on her shoulder one bit. That was getting easier with practice. It didn't hurt that she could stay relatively still when need be, even if she was actually highly curious about something. Another side effect of acting and just dealing with the firebrand that was her best friend for the last ten years. She had to nod at Isidora's statement about how far the tower was from most everything else, however. "That's true, but at least you won't have to worry about getting exercise," she replied with a smile. That much walking kept their metabolism up, which she imagined was a good thing.
Apparently even with the younger girl's curiosity about everything, she still had a Ravenclaw sense of priorities, too, which amused her. She merely kept the smile on her face, though, as she kept speaking. "Of course. Classes and studying are definitely important." Especially for her, with NEWTs at the end of the school year. At least her companion had time before her own exams. "You can always include your friends in your explorations, though. That makes it all that much more fun, after all," she added, curling her feet underneath her after slipping her flats off. She may as well get comfortable. She nodded again at the display of knowledge about their professors that was shown, as well. "True again. Professor Lafay getting married happened fairly recently, and I wouldn't suggest telling Professor Vindictus he's really old," she replied, grinning slightly even as the idea of what could happen if that happened came to mind. It was amusing, but she didn't particularly want them to lose points from their own head of house for a simple comment. She didn't really know about his classes, though, sadly, as she stayed away from flying as much as possible. And Quidditch.

Marie saw a girl sitting by herself. Probably a second year, she thought. She walked over and sat down next to the girl. "Hi, I'm Marie." She said, a bright smile on her face.
"Hi there, i'm Morgan" said Morgan as she looked up to see a friendly face. "Second year, you?" she added

"I just can't believe you don't want to write a letter to your mom," she added, trying very hard to act completely nonchalant.
But... oh. Well, okay. Sighing, Anna nodded to Milton. "Fine, just your mom. I don't want you talking to my dad anyway." She... hadn't meant to say that last part. But oh well, it was too late to take it back now. And Milton probably wouldn't care anyway.
...Oh. They had a visitor. Anna's cheeks flushed pink when she realized someone had heard her say that about her dad. But, um... "Hi, Marie. I'm Annalee. And this is Milton." She motioned to her brother with one hand, still holding Milly to her chest with the other. "And this is Milly," she added, wiggling the kitten.

Annalee Gonzales could yell? Milton had no idea. Which was surprising, actually, considering he seemed to be the only person who could make this girl mad. And now she yelled. He was making progress. Smirk. Milton sighed dramatically and shrugged his shoulders. "I don't see why. You know who I am." And he wasn't exactly a mummy's boy. He wasn't a daddy's boy either--that was for sure.
Milton had gone back to reading his book. But... Oh? He lifted his head and cocked an eyebrow at her. He didn't want him talking to her dad? "And why is that?" he asked curiously. Then, he closed his book and took his feet off the foot rest and placed them on the floor. "On second thought, maybe I will write a letter. To your father, too." Only because she didn't want him to. Heheh.
And then some young girl came up to them. And talked to them? Without permission? And Anna apparently didn't even care. "Can't you see we're having a conversation?" he said to the younger girl in a slightly snappy tone. Not that he had been neccessarily enjoying the conversation until recently. But still. "Rude," he muttered, shoving his hands into his pockets.

Lily had been sitting up in her dorm room studying before she decided that she should at least go hang out with some people. So she walked down the stairs and found a seat near a window so that she could look outside at the stars, since it was getting dark. She snuggled up in the seat and pulled out her charms book. She had decided for various reasons to try and learn charms on her own, as well as attending the classes with the strict teacher. After running her fingers through her hair, she cracked open the book and started reading from the beginning. Every once in a while, she would take a couple notes before going back to her reading, completely unaware of what was happening elsewhere in the common room.

Blue skipped in from walking along the pathways with Theo. Twas still too early to go to bed so she needed to find someone to annoy play with. No one. WAIT A MINUTE. Lily was sitting there with a book in hand. Blue started to skip over but stopped. She didn't wanna disturb her! That would be rude!
So Blue hid behind the back of the chair and peered over it, reading the book aswell. But after a few minutes, that got BORING!, so she snatched the book out of Lily's hand.

GRIN.
"Whatcha readin'?"
Finally Lily had gotten to the start of the actual charms and how to do them rather than just the description of the different movements. This part was more interesting. She had just started to write down the incantation of a charm when someone snatched her book.
"HEY!!!"
Lily turned quickly to see who had taken her book... when she saw the ickle firstie from the platform. "Oh... Hey." The second year's face went from anger to a mellow expression. "It's my charms book. I'm studying up on the different spells... partly because I don't like the professor." The redhead reached out to grab the book back so that she could put it away...especially since it didn't seem like the first year would let her continue to study. "So what are you doing out so late?" Lily asked with a chuckle.

EVIL FIRSTIE, wasn't she?
Hehehe. Blue handed back the book, an innocent, angelic expression on her face. See? She was cute not evil. "Oh. I'm reading an adventure book. Not studying....I couldn't be bothered." She said with a shrug. "I don't like that Professor either." Blue grimaced, shaking her head. NOPE. "She was mean to my friend!!!" Which basically meant she would NEVER LIKE THAT PROFESSOR.
Blue smiled. "I was just with my friend on the grounds. We didn't go into the Forbidden Forest if that's what you're implying!!!" Blue added hastily.

Just to clarify that.
Nope. Not giving in to the innocent look.
Lily wasn't going to let a first year get away with stealing her book and then acting like she didn't do anything. So she returned the innocent look with a look of her own, only it wasn't an innocent look...it was an annoyed one. "I'm only studying so that I might not need to go to the charms class." Otherwise she would be writing to her brother, or playing with her owl..........no. In reality, she would probably studying either way. She was a Ravenclaw, and that's why she was put in the house.
Lily smirked at the next comment. "She was just a bit to strict for me. What kind of a teacher makes you stand behind your chair from the time that you show up to class until the time that the class starts." Yeah, Lily didn't think that was necessary.
The second year nodded as Blue mentioned how she had been out on the grounds. But the nodding stopped as soon as the forest was mentioned. "Don't go in there... we might lose points if you're caught in there." That would not be cool. Lily wanted to win the cup this year, especially if it meant beating the puffs... and slytherin to get it.

GRRR. Innocent wasn't working. Que puppy dog eyes. Blue widened her already big, brown eyes and smiled shyly up at Lily. See? See? ANGEL!!! LITTLE ANGEL! She was a little treasure who did NOT steal people's books! Hehehehehehehe.
"Do you need sugar? You look annoyed?" Or maybe there was something wrong with her face? That was possible too! Whoops. WHATIFBLUEHADOFFENDEDANNOYED!GIRL?!?!? "Studying isn't going to help you! You have to actually learn the spell," Blue said with a smile.
She wasn't annoying at all.
Fidget. Blue nodded, keeping quiet. Thank Merlin Theo had decided that they shouldn't go in. She'd've hated if she had actually lost points. Fidget. Squirm.

Guilty look.
No...not puppy dog eyes...This was just over the edge... Lily did a little smirk thing trying to say -no luck there...you're just too guilty-
Do you need sugar? What would sugar do? The second year furrowed her brow. What was sugar going to help with anything? Instead of saying anything, Lily just shrugged and began putting her book away. As for studying... "That's what I'm doing... You learn the incantation and then the movement and then you put them together. And if you need help you ask an older student." Simple. And plus then Lily wouldn't need to attend her charms lessons but she would still be able to be prepared for her charms OWL when it came down to it.
Off of that subject, and onto the forest subject. Why was Blue fidgeting for one? and two, why did she have a guilty look on her face now?
"Don't tell me you went into the forest....." She wanted to add 'and lost points' but decided against it.

Even if Isidora looked close to wanting to go back to bouncing around the room on her explorations, Stella was perfectly happy to just curl up in her chair until bed. The younger girl hadn't moved yet, though, so she was perfectly willing to continue their conversation. "I can see why," she replied with a grin. "I can't really say I worry too much about it either. I wander too much to need to." Outside when weather permitted, inside otherwise. Not to mention Professor Romanos and her yoga DADA lessons. She did miss the dance lessons that had happened a couple terms before, however, but then she also missed Monsieur Stryker for the same reasons.
Topics had shifted, in any case, and she nodded at the solemn statement that had come from the firstie. "And you will. You're certainly at the right school for that," she replied, starting off serious but smiling a little as she finished speaking. Especially as her companion had continued talking. There really did seem to be more first years this term than before. She could only hope that would lead to earning more points for their house as well as all the other possibilities that could happen. And the comment about the professors only added to any amusement she'd gotten from the rest of the conversation. "I'm sure he does," she said, "and that is very good knowledge to have. You don't want to get on the bad side of the professors, after all." She imagined telling any of them that they were old would result in the house losing points, if not worse.

She was eleven. That's why she didn't worry over it, but she figured Stella's reason was a good one to. All the wandering around the castle would surely keep her in shape. Merlin, just the trip to the great hall would keep her in shape.
"Don't worry I won't get on their bad side!" Considerate pause. "I don't think I will at least." Not purposely, at least. The first year rolled onto the floor, on her knees, and hoped to her feet. "It was fun talking to you Stella! I've got some exploring to finish now. Night!" She waved wildly and ran off to explore the girl dormitories.

"Hi there, i'm Morgan" said Morgan as she looked up to see a friendly face. "Second year, you?" she added
Marie grinned. "I'm a first year. It's great to meet you Morgan. How's second year going for you?"

Marie put a hand on her hip. Rude? Not only that but she could tell that he clearly believed that she should have asked for permission before talking to them. Let's try to take him down a notch. "Oh relax, I didn't hear any of your conversation. I do have some manners, though you seem to think otherwise. I may be a first year but that doesn't mean that I am any less than you." Marie looked over at Annalee. "Annalee, it's really great to meet you." She faced Milton again. "You, I'm not so sure about."

Audrey quietly sat down in a corner. She was never one to mingle or talk a whole lot. She was sure no one had noticed her year absence at St. Mungo's. She had no visiters from school, since she had no close friends. She was just thrilled to get back to her studies.

Marie was lost in her book as she made her way to her favorite corner. She stopped when she realized that someone had beat her to it. She grinned, "Hi I'm Marie."

Audrey looked up, surprised some one was talking to her. "Hello," she said quietly "I'm Audrey. How are you?"

Harvey came down from the boys dorm room and down on the sofa that was in front of the fire.. he just wanted to relax with the warmth of the fire.. he looked around.. there werent many people around.. one was especially missing even though she should be here.. he hadnt seen her in a while and wondered if she would turn up.
Ameliah walked down from the girls dorm, her head in a ponytail. She felt a bit more like herself after her talk with Rons. As she neared the bottom of the stairs she saw Harvey and grinned. "Hey Er Boy." she smiled and sat next to him.

Harvey heard someone come down and before he had a chance to have a look she was sat next to him.. "Thats my new name? Er Boy? yeah sounds like Harvey.. but I dont think it will catch on" he chuckled.. just the person he was hoping to see.. "You look better than before.. everything ok now?" he asked as he remembered how she had been before.. down by the lake.. maybe he had said a bit too much that day or something regarding the letter that had arrived.
