~*Introducing the Muggle Studies Magic Free Fun Zone!!!*~
Across from the Muggle Studies classroom, an older door hides a new surprise set up by Professor Cerulean to further introduce and immerse students in some more of the fun aspects of Muggle Life.

When the door is open, you will step into a room that has been charmed to match the theme of the room. Inside this room, no student is allowed to use magic. It is a completely Magic Free Fun Zone.
Every few months (few weeks OOC), the theme of the room will change to something else. During this time, you can RP taking part in those activities.

When you enter the Magic Free Fun Zone room, you are instantly hit with the smell of Muggle popcorn. In the entrance, there is a movie concession stand. Behind the concession stand, is a huge red curtain that is pulled aside. Once you walked through the curtain, you enter a huge movie theatre. The theatre has specially charmed seats that are extra soft.

In the concession area is a long table full of various Muggle Movie treats. There is a popcorn machine with bags beside it that is busy popping new popcorn for the movies. Beside that is a stack of cups and a soft drink machine. Past that is a stack of Muggle Candy, including Nerds, Skittles, Milk Duds, Sour Patch Kids, Starbursts, Gummy Bears, Junior Mints, and Hot Tamales. This table has been charmed to refill everything automatically after you grab things of your choice. Your refills are endless but don't eat too much.
Every week OOC a new movie will be shown in the theatre area. The new movie will be announced each week in this thread. All of the movies are school appropriate.
Movie 1: Beauty and the Beast

Storyline:
"Belle, whose father is imprisoned by the Beast, offers herself instead and discovers her captor to be an enchanted prince."

Synopsis/Summary:

In the prologue, told through stained glass windows, an old beggar woman arrives at the castle of a French prince. The woman asks for shelter from the cold, and in return, offers the young prince a rose. Repulsed by her appearance, the prince turns her away. The beggar warns him not to judge by appearances, but the Prince ignores her and shuts the door on her. The woman then throws off her disguise, revealing that she is a beautiful enchantress. The Prince tries to apologize, but she has already seen the lack of kindness in his heart. She conjures a powerful curse, transforming him into a hideous beast, his servants into anthropomorphic household items, and the entire castle and all its surroundings into a dark, forbidding place, so that he will learn not to judge by appearances. The curse can only be broken if the Beast learns to love another and receives the other's love in return before the last petal of the enchantress's rose withers and falls; if not, he will be doomed to remain a beast forever. As the years pass, the Beast sits in his castle wallowing in despair, convinced that no one could ever love him.
Years later, a beautiful young peasant woman named Belle lives in a nearby village with her father, Maurice, who is an inventor. Belle is seen as "odd" by the other townsfolk due to her preference for reading books. She is the object of unwanted attention from the local hunter, Gaston, whom she perceives as an egomaniac and 'positively primeval', barbarian-brained, lunkhead. He and his sidekick, LeFou, openly mock her father's inventions and her love of books. Belle reveals her feelings of loneliness to her father, who promises her that his next invention, a wood-chopping machine, will be the start of a new life for them both.
Maurice rides off to a fair with his invention, but gets lost and loses his horse as night falls. He escapes from some wolves and desperately seeks shelter from a storm. Cold and tired, he stumbles upon a mysterious castle and enters. One by one, the enchanted household items - Lumière the candelabra, Mrs. Potts the teapot and her son Chip the tea cup and Cogsworth the clock and head of the household - welcome him. The Beast, however, is enraged when he discovers Maurice and locks him in a dungeon in the castle tower.
The next day, Gaston arranges a wedding ceremony right outside of Belle's house and invites the entire town. He invites himself in to propose to her and gives her an image of their life together -- "A rustic hunting lodge, my little wife massaging my feet, while the little ones play on the floor with the dogs; oh, we'll have six or seven [strapping boys, like me]". Belle attempts to politely decline when Gaston corners her against her front door and tries to kiss her. As she opens the door to move out of the way, he falls through the door frame and into the mud in front of the entire town. This serves as a hard blow to Gaston's ego.
Belle, who worries when her father's horse returns home without him, decides to seek out her father. Eventually, she winds up at the Beast's castle. The objects, their hope renewed with the arrival of Belle, show her the way to the dungeon while keeping themselves concealed from her sight. Belle finds Maurice in the tower dungeon, but the Beast catches her. She offers herself in exchange for her father's life, against his wishes, giving her word to remain in the castle forever. The Beast reveals himself to her, and although Belle is clearly terrified, she bravely refuses to back down from her offer. The Beast agrees and releases Maurice, who is taken back to the village in an walking coach before they can say goodbye. Moved by Belle's sadness, the Beast decides to give Belle a room in the castle instead of keeping her in the dungeon. The Beast gives Belle permission to go anywhere in the castle except the West Wing, refusing to explain why. He shows Belle her room and tells her that they must meet for dinner (at Lumiere's suggestion).
Back in the village, the citizens attempt to cheer up Gaston in the local tavern after Belle's rejection by reminding him how in awe they are of him. Maurice bursts in and asks for help to rescue Belle from "a beast", but no one believes him. When one of the villagers calls him crazy, Gaston thinks of a plan to get Belle to marry him. Maurice goes off to search for Belle alone, unaware of Gaston's plan. Gaston and the others arrive at the house shortly after Maurice leaves. Finding the house empty, Gaston orders LeFou to wait by the porch until Belle and Maurice return.
Belle meets the enchanted objects who cheer her up, but she refuses to have dinner with the Beast. Enraged, he tells the servants that if Belle does not eat with him, she will have to starve, then shuts himself away in the West Wing. He sees Belle through the magic mirror, who angrily cries that she will have nothing to do with the Beast. Melancholy, he watches one more petal fall from the rose. Ignoring the Beast's orders, Lumiere, along with the other servants, welcomes Belle warmly and entertains her with an elaborate dinner and a show. The famous ballroom dance sequence. After dinner, Belle asks the servants for a tour of the castle. Lumiere and Cogsworth happily oblige, but Belle manages to sneak away from them and penetrate into the forbidden West Wing, where she discovers an extremely disarrayed and desolate room, a slashed portrait of a handsome man with strangely familiar blue eyes, and the enchanted rose. The Beast finds her there and frightens her with a terrifying display of temper. Belle flees the castle, disregarding her promise to the Beast, and, in the dark forest, is attacked by wolves. The Beast appears and fights off the vicious creatures, but is wounded during the fight; a grateful Belle returns to the castle and, while tending to the Beast's wounds, thanks him for saving her life. Over some time, the two start to become friends. The Beast even gives Belle "ownership" of his immense library. The household items are excited and optimistic that Belle may fall in love with the Beast and cause them to become human again. The relationship reaches its climax with an elegant dinner and ballroom dance.
After the romantic evening, The Beast notices that Belle seems melancholy. She tells him that she wishes to see Maurice again, just for a moment. The Beast takes her to the West Wing and gives her the magic mirror, explaining that it will allow her to see anything she might desire to see. Belle asks if she can see her father and the magic mirror reveals that Maurice is lost and sick in the forest. The Beast, having fallen in love with Belle, releases her to rescue her father and also gives her the mirror so that she may look back and remember him. Belle hurries off, finds Maurice and takes him back to the village, where a mob gathers to take him to the asylum. Gaston offers to have Maurice spared if Belle agrees to marry him but she still refuses. Belle uses the magic mirror to show the Beast to the villagers, who become frightened at his hideous visage. Belle assures them that the Beast is kind and gentle, and that he's her friend. Out of jealousy and anger, Gaston tells the mob that Belle is as crazy as her father. Belle disagrees and calls him the real beast for wanting to kill him. She tells him off that she sees him as nothing more than a sexist, narcisstic, rude, obnoxious and selfish jerk. Insulted, Gaston rallies the villagers to storm the castle and "kill the beast," convincing them that he is dangerous to the entire town. To prevent Belle and Maurice from warning the Beast, Gaston has his men lock them in the cellar of their home.
With the help of Chip the teacup, who has stowed away in Belle's satchel, Belle and Maurice escape from the cellar using the invention and rush back to the castle. The villagers force open the door, but Lumiere leads the servants in defense of the castle. Gaston deserts the battle to search for the Beast. The servants eventually manage to drive the villagers out of the castle.
Meanwhile, Gaston finds the Beast alone in the West Wing and attacks him, throwing both of them outside on the balcony and rooftops. The Beast does not defend himself because he has given up hope of being able to see Belle again. As soon as he sees Belle arriving at the castle, calling out for him, the Beast gains the will to fight Gaston. A heated battle ensues between the two, culminating when the Beast grabs Gaston by the neck and threatens to throw him off the roof. Gaston begs for his life, and the Beast relents, softened by his love for Belle. He tells Gaston to leave and never come back, and then throws him aside. When the Beast climbs back up to the balcony where Belle is waiting for him, Gaston stabs him in the back, then loses his footing and falls into the deep chasm far below, signalling his death.
Belle tries to reassure the badly wounded Beast that everything will be fine, but he knows that his wound is fatal. The Beast tells her that he was happy to see her one last time, and dies succumbing to his injury. Belle, in tears, whispers that she loves him, just before the last petal falls from the rose. The spell is broken. The Beast, brought back to life, is reverted to his human form, unrecognizable until Belle looks into his blue eyes. The castle becomes beautiful again and the enchanted objects turn back into humans. The last scene shows Belle and the prince dancing in the ballroom while her father and the objects watch and they live happily ever after.

Please grab some refreshments and head into the theatre and find a comfy seat. Once you sit down, the muffliato charm will silence your conversations from those around you so have fun RPing throughout the movie without a worry that you are going to bother or interrupt the movie for others.
NOTE: This is not a snogging/makeout room. Remember that Professor Cerulean will be dropping in throughout the movies so keep in mind that you are always being watched. Feel free to RP yourself grabbing goodies and watching the movie and talking and such. Have fun with this! You can RP when the movie starts, etc. There will not be posts guiding everyone through the movie. This is just a fun room to add something else for you to RP in.

Ooo, Ronnie was really enjoying the movie! It was the first time she ever saw one, and it sort of reminded her of the moving pictures all around Hogwarts and on Chocolate Frog cards. Except, it was a lot bigger. Yeah. A LOT bigger.
As Ronnie continued watching the movie, she still felt a little lonely. She turned her head to look behind her for any familiar faces, popping some jellybeans into her mouth.

Alex was really glad that she did not have to watch the movie alone. Ella even liked her favorite character, Chip. "I'm a second year in Ravenclaw", Alex said alternating between bites of popcorn and candy. "What about you?"
Nigel decided why not go to this muggle studies magic free fun thing. He had never seen the movie before so maybe he will like it. It stunk that he can not do magic in here, But he got to eat snacks that refilled magically. Who can say no to that, once he got his drink, nerds and his sour patch kids he went to find a seat to watch the movie. Who knows maybe he will like these muggle movies after all.
Asher had finally made plans to spend some time with Any. Between getting ready for Quidditch season and homework he hadn't had much time to hang out with his friends, so when he seen on the post board in the Slytherin common room that professor Cerulean was showing muggle movies again this term. This would be the perfect chance to get to spend time with Miss Anya.
He walked through the door, and instantly smelled popcorn. He grinned, this was going to be great. He walked over to the concession stand and ordered two sodas, a big bag of popcorn, nachos and assorted boxes of candy.
His arms completely full and almost over flowing with the goodies. He stood there waiting for some assistants Anya. And he was wearing a ridiculous looking grin.

A second year, cool! "I'm a second year Hufflepuff. It's nice to meet another second year. You must be quite smart, you know being a Ravenclaw and all. Do you guys just study all the time or what?" She wasn't trying to be rude, she was just genuinely curious about what Ravenclaws did for fun. The few she had met had been pretty studious and she wondered if Alex was the same way. She popped a few junior mints into her mouth while she waited for the answer.

Although Beauty and the Beast wasn't Anya's all time favorite Disney movie, it was pretty high on the list. Afterall, who could hate a movie involving love and singing tableware?
Seriously! She kinda did love singing tableware. She was going to learn how to charm spoons to sing to her at Hogwarts, right? That was on the objectives list, right?
Ahem. Anyway.
She was on a movie date watching adventure with Asher! She was beyond excited. They hadn't done anything just the two of them since the summer.
"Need some help there Honeyduke?" she asked with a smile spotting the over-burdened Slytherin boy.
Asher juggled the goodies in his arms, nearly dropping the whole lot, a few times. Just as he was sure this one would be the big fall he heard a voice, her voice. He looked up and grinned at her. "Sure, Sugarpulm."
Handing over the drinks, mostly so he could hold the rest of the candy in his hand. He glanced at her and then down at the food. "Think, that's enough?" He asked with a chuckled. It looked like he had enough for ten people.
He shrugged. "So how are things?" He asked looking for the box of junior mints, he was sure he got them.

Evelyn nodded. Busy with classes, Prefect duties, cramming for NEWT's..yeah, things were busy for her too. "So..how do you like being the Head Boy? A lot of responsibility, huh?" She eyed him before she popped another popcorn into her mouth. Wait, what? She was completely going to ignore the fact that he just called her Evie. ANYWAY. She finished chewing on the popcorn..just in case..before she laughed. "Don't worry. I'm fine. I don't think you have to do the Heimlich on me but..thanks for the concern." She smirked before she continued to eat her popcorn. Oh? So, he'd seen Beauty and the Beast before. "You like it?" She knew that everyone liked Disney movies but it was always polite to ask.
"Yeah, I like it. It's cool," Paulie nodded, leaning back a little more to take advantage of the cushy movie theater chair. "Definitely a lotta responsibility. I guess it's good for me, though." Maybe he needed this. And he hoped that he was doing a good job for everyone else's sake. He took a handful of his own popcorn and munched on that. When he was done with his mouthful, he spoke again. "What about you? The prefect thing goin' all right for ya?"
Good, no Heimlich today, then. Hmm? Like wha--? Oh, the movie. He sort of half nodded, half shrugged. "Sure. Although I haven't seen it since I was little, and I reckon that I probably liked it better then." Not that it wasn't still a good movie, of course. "I like the clock and the candelabra," he grinned. FAVES.
Errr... was it just her or did Johnny Jonathan plant his feet to the ground? Louisa tried drag him again but with the bowls in her hands she couldn't really do much. The boy didn't budge. Worse, he actually whispered to her. The last time a boy whispered to her like that, she got detention. Something was definitely fishy this time too. "Are you kidding me? You don't want to join Kurumi and Selina?" Like.. his girlfriend and her bestie? Louisa glanced in the Gryffindors' direction and furrowed her eyebrows. "What do you mean there is no place. There is enough room for you and me."
Louisa looked back at Johnny Jonathan and pondered his reaction for a minute. A lot of questions 1) shouldn't he be the one dragging her to his girlfriend and her feet get planted on the floor? 2) shouldn't he glow with happiness at the sight of the little lady? Everyone glowed at the sight of Kurumi, it was annoying amusing sometimes. 3) Why would he lie about free space instead of merely telling Louisa to just go on with her lecture if there was no fishy business with the couple? All above direct to a single explanation.
They're having a no-boyfriend no-girlfriend night, rather a friends-only night. Louisa got it. Sort of.
"I don't know, Johnny-" COUGH. "-Johnathan. I saw her being all weird and sad in the train and her friend was like... patting her hand to calm her down. We should at least say hi? I haven't checked if she was still feeling sad like that.." And that was really inappropriate to shout someone's name and then totally ignore them. "Are you two having a friends-only night by the way?" She grinned at him. Some couples did that.. not Louisa since her ex would just disappear sometimes but she knew a few couples taking a break from each other for a night or two. Totally logical to the 'claw.
The Ravenclaw waited for the boy's answer. It was really lucky that the lights were dim and there was a chance that the girls sitting few seats away from where Louisa and Jonathan stood hadn't noticed them yet. Although with Louisa's earlier call out.....

Jonathan was suddenly attacked by a huge bucket of snacks and felt that his stomach was punched. Of course, Jonathan reacted lightly to it. He frowned as he held the snacks in his hands "Seriously... are you trying to kill me before the movie?" he said still massaging the painful area in his stomach. That was a big blow, did she learned martial arts or something? Jonathan didn't hear half of what she explained because he was shocked with her just shoving the snacks to him. Nice one, Louisa. Snacks... popcorn... movie foods... yeah, he got it. Jonathan took a pack of peanuts while she was carrying two bowls of popcorn. He doesn't like peanuts but hey, maybe she might like it. Anyway, it's free right?
Moving onto the chairs, Louisa was still TALKING. Were people paying attention to her? Was she too loud? Because Jonathan can hear her just nonstop. He narrowed his eyes looking at her with an evil grin on his face "This is why you're sorted under Ravenclaw" Jonathan knows that she knew a lot but she was talking too much that Jonathan couldn't take note to all of it. ALL of it. He was still keeping with her pace though.
They choose seats according to their viewing pleasure, that's all their too it. And oh! Avoid sitting in front. Ignoring what she said next about the motives of some couples in the area, Jonathan just nodded like he did the whole time. He just learned something new as well....... LOUISA CAN TALK, alot. Not that it was a bad thing, it's just that, Jonathan and her had never see eye to eye that all of this just seems new to him.
Suddenly though, Jonathan stopped walking when she mentioned her name. His head snapped directly at Louisa and didn't know what to say. He didn't react, not a smile not a nod. He just starred at Louisa though, with a blank expression on his face. It suddenly occurred to him... She doesn't know. Jonathan never told anyone yet about them breaking up. Not a single soul. She didn't even answer her questions, she didn't bother answering them at all.
Gulp.
No. No. No. Louisa, no. No. No. NO. She wanted to sit there????????? Jonathan's face just looked scared for no reason at all. No. Louisa, stop. NO. But she wasn't stopping. In fact, she dragged him as well. Jonathan was silently shaking his head but how can she Louisa see, it's kinda dark.
Jonathan just somehow planted his feet firmly. That way Louisa can stop. What does he do? What does he say? "Uhmmm" he grabbed Louisa's arm and whispered to her "don't you think that area is full already?" Liar. It didn't look like the area was full. He just needed a good excuse not to sit there, however, he knows how stubborn Louisa is. Right now he is just hoping she wouldn't be stubborn enough to drag him even more.

Kurumi really wasn't paying too much attention to the movie and had missed a rather large chunk of things until ... that Gaston guy took Belle's book and complained about there not being any pictures in it. Kurumi almost smiled, almost. It was faint, but there was something that tugged at the corners of her lips...until he tossed the book into the mud and then Kurumi gasped. First of all, books were not supposed to be tossed. Secondly, they were not supposed to be tossed in mud. And thirdly....Kurumi just didn't like the way the guy was puffing out his chest.
Kurumi didn't shift her body position at all, but her head did lift just a little so that it wasn't resting on her knees now. She wasn't sure why, but she felt as though there was someone watching over her. Someone that wasn't her best friend who was clearly taking every opportunity to glance at her out of the corner of her eye. "I'm not going to make a run for it you know," she murmured in a slightly defeated tone. "I wouldn't be able to outrun you anyway." So, Selina could sit back and relax about that happening, right? Still...there was a familiar feeling behind whoever's gaze it was that had fallen on Kurumi and it made her relax a little.
Kurumi sort of zoned out a bit more, partly missing the exchange between Belle and her father...but she didn't miss when that Gaston dude came back and tried to propose to Belle...again.

Her one hand was still clutching the necklace around her neck, but her other hand had idly reached into the buttered popcorn and popped a few into her mouth, chewing them slowly. "He sort of reminds me of Connor," Kurumi ALMOST laughed.There was an obvious hint of airiness to her voice, one that hadn't been there in over a month.
For a moment, Selina was tempted to reach out and grab Kurumi to hold her in place. She knew that of the two of them Selina had the tools to keep Kurumi seated in the theatre the entire movie. There was a large chance that Kurumi might have kicked and screamed the entire time if she resisted, but Kurumi was not leaving that seat. A part of Selina almost welcomed Kurumi to try because there was no way that Kurumi was going to escape watching this movie and eating some type of food. Her best friend was starting to waste away- not eating for days at a time was starting to show in the creases of Kurumi's face. Even if all she did was eat a little bit of food it was better than nothing. Grief could not stop Kurumi from basic bodily functions, she would not allow that to happen on her watch.
However, when Kurumi said that she was not going to leave, Selina nodded in agreement. That was good that the Gryffindor prefect was aware of the fact that she was not going to leave. But then she said that there was no way that Kurumi could have outrun Selina. Her blue eyes flickered to Kurumi's face. A small smile crept on the redhead's lips- that was almost a joke. For some reason Selina felt like throwing her hands up in the air to celebrate. Although it was miniscule Kurumi had just made progress. Maybe her best friend did not know it yet, but she was making a small joke. It was tiny and if one was not paying very close attention they might have missed it, but it was a very dry joke. Unintentional even, but it was a joke none the less. Selina wanted to stop the movie right then and there and crush her friend into a bone cracking hug. But the smallest of things needed to treated like normalcy. Kurumi needed to think it was normal to act in that manner. It would only help her in the long run.
As the movie progressed Selina could not seem to swallow her smile that was now ever present on her face. She also did not miss, out of the corner of her eye, Kurumi munching on popcorn. They were making such wonderful progress. Who knew Disney could change lives? It was really a magic worker when real magic could not help? Perhaps Selina should invest in watching more Disney movies, she had only seen the few that had aired in school. It seemed like a wise idea to dedicate some time to these miracle workers of happiness because Kurumi already looked better.
Another miracle occurred when Kurumi leaned over to Selina and made a blatant joke. She did not need to squint to see the joke this time around, Kurumi was serving out to see without any issues. It was, for a moment, just like old times. Kurumi was starting to come back, even if in small doses, but she would hold onto that for hope. Hope that Kurumi would get better. With a bright grin Selina said, "Yeah, sort of... he's definitely creepy enough to be Connor."
Suddenly the movie took a turn toward the darker side. One moment the French people were singing pretty music and the next Belle's father was in prison by a hideous Beast. He was a MEANY! And THEN when Belle tried to save her father she was locked away to save the older man from his fate. It was decided... the Beast had NO HEART!

Then she was broken from her movie trance when she heard a loud name being called out across the theatre. Selina looked up to see the source of the voice who was calling out Kurumi's name. When she finally settled upon the speaker she saw that it was Louisa. Honestly, Selina liked Louisa, but now was not the time to bother Selina and Kurumi. She had just gotten Kurumi out of the dorms for the first time in days and she did not want to overload Kurumi with too much excitement too fast. Baby steps seemed like a very good and logical option.
But then she nearly threw up when she saw who was walking across the theatre trailing behind Lousia. No doubt Kurumi had seen who it was as well. Merlin, how could she miss him? It was Jonathan and Selina could have attacked Louisa right then and there for opening up a wound so fresh for her best friend. Yeah, yeah she felt bad for Jonathan, but they were never close. He was just Kurumi's boyfriend and if this meeting hurt Kurumi in anyway or made her relapse the Gryffindor Captain was going to find other uses for her beater bat.
So when Louisa asked if it was a best friend's night Selina nodded, "Yeah it is..." she paused, "Sorry... its just sort of us. Hope you understand, but its a tradition and all. But maybe we can meet up later, yeah?" Every word she uttered with said with an extremely serious face. She just hoped that Louisa understood that Selina was not in the mood to deal with other people at the moment. Her main priority was Kurumi.

Was he excited about today? He glanced around the room for a moment as he pondered this question before allowing his eyes to rest on the girl again. "I...err...I guess so. Are you?" Was she talking about the movie? Or this day in general? Hang on, was today a special kind of day? Had he missed something? Well, if he had he was bound to find out, wasn't he?

Lewis had returned his gaze to the screen again for a moment, actually paying attention to the movie for a few seconds before his eyes flickered back over to where Kurumi and Selina were sitting. This time he was absolutely certain that Kurumi was having some popcorn and it made the wave of anxiety he felt washing over him subside a little. It looked like she was doing a lot better. Or a little bit anyway. Selina was doing a really good job. Not that he had doubted that but you know.
And then all of a sudden somebody was calling Kurumi's name. Loudly. Lewis turned in his seat quite suddenly to see who it was and his jaw literally dropped once he had. It was Louisa. And Jonathan. And now she was dragging the Slytherin over to where Kurumi and Selina were. Oh no. Oh no. Oh no. This was NOT good. At all. This would probably cause Kurumi to...well, this was bad. But luckily Jonathan had stopped them from actually going over to the two Gryffindors. That still didn't mean that Kurumi hadn't noticed them.
A look of sheer panic plastered across his face when he turned back around, his eyes now on the two Gryffindors, Lewis was looking at Selina quite intently. She had to do something. Distract Kurumi somehow. He would do it but somehow he doubted that THAT would be such a good idea. All he could do was hope that Kurumi was too engrossed in the movie and hadn't noticed a thing and that Louisa would get the drift and keep her distance.
Sarah just blinked. I look stupid right now. The guy took a few minutes to realise she was talking to him. Lewis? Wasn't that the prefect? "You're the sixth year prefect?" she asked. Have a little manners. He said he was excited. "But I can see you aren't" she'd observed. She glanced at the screen for a moment. The girl was crying. How I hate cry-baby scenes. "I've seen this one before. Nothing much to be excited about" she said looking back at Lewis.
She saw his gaze linger on Kurumi and her friend sitting some rows ahead of them. Kurumi was a bit tired looking these days, sort of distracted. Better she be back to herself. "Is something wrong?" she asked jerking her head towards Kurumi. What was with him? Looking at her fellow lions.

Sarah pointed at the screen. This. "I know of this one" she said. She was quite excited while entering the room, but the excitement about the movie sort of ebbed off. "It's about the Beauty and the Beast" she blinked at her own statement. "Ok I know that's dumb. It's a sort of love story" she said, smiling. You're a real silly at times Sarah. "I'm a muggle-born you see" she continued, "So I've seen movies a lot and the muggle books too" she finished. "What about you?" she asked her new found friend.

Kurumi almost giggled...almost, but the popcorn that was in her mouth sort of prevented her from doing so. She hadn't had popcorn in a long time, probably not since last term when her and Selina had gone to one of these things now that she thought about it. For a brief moment, Kurumi was glad that Selina had dragged her out of bed. Even if the song that the Connor-like character was singing right now was a bit alarming...and Kurumi did not find all that chest hair attractive at all.
However, this moment of peace was soon gone....forgotten....the moment she turned around to see who had just called her name. It could have been pitch black and Kurumi could have still known that he was there. That his eyes were on her. Her hand gripped the necklace around her neck and Kurumi's posture became small again, as if she were trying to melt into the seat. "Jonathan..." she whispered, her tone a clear indication that her heart was once again breaking. Re-breaking as it were. She didn't even see Louisa was there, not until Selina had spoken that she registered that anyone else was there. The entire time her gaze was on Jonathan....and the tears were already beginning to form in her eyes again.
Clutching the necklace more fiercely, Kurumi tore her eyes away from his to look anywhere but at him or else she really was just going to cry or test her theory about Selina catching her. She didn't want to look back at the screen either, so she instead looked around the theater...which may or may not have been a good idea. Her eyes fell on Lewis, sitting a few rows back, who just happened to be already looking in her direction. Her heart beat faster and her breath caught in her chest again. "Lewis...." she said, audible enough for anyone who was paying any attention in her direction to be able to hear.
Her heart broke again, but for different reasons this time - although the pain was based on something that she had done, or not done as the case was this time. Her eyes locked with his longer than they probably should have before they slowly moved back to Jonathan and then to the floor.
Now could she please just go? There was no way that the entertaining flatware was going to be able to distract her from what was happening right now....knowing that both of them were in here now... Kurumi was back in her shell again. The little glimmer of her that had come out a few moments earlier gone.

The blonde guy decided to leave his seat for a while to get more drink. Perhaps he could get an extra large pepsi for himself.
Gary back to his seat with an extra large size cup of pepsi for himself. He also brought a big bucket of salty popcorn and another cup of pepsi in smaller size. The blonde guy offered the pepsi to the girl beside him, Zhenya.

He started to choke, and Zhenya resisted the HUGE urge she had to thump him on the back to dislodge whatever it was, but she was scared she would hurt him again. She tried not to laugh at that thought. But he managed to clear it by himself.
She didn't even notice he had gone until he offered her a drink. Where did all that food come from? She figured he MUST have got up to get it?
"Th... Thanks Gary," she whispered in his ear as she took the drink from him. It taste just like that can of drink her brother had given her!

Everyone glowed at the sight of Kurumi, it was annoying amusing sometimes. 3) Why would he lie about free space instead of merely telling Louisa to just go on with her lecture if there was no fishy business with the couple? All above direct to a single explanation.
They're having a no-boyfriend no-girlfriend night, rather a friends-only night. Louisa got it. Sort of.
"I don't know, Johnny-" COUGH. "-Johnathan. I saw her being all weird and sad in the train and her friend was like... patting her hand to calm her down. We should at least say hi? I haven't checked if she was still feeling sad like that.." And that was really inappropriate to shout someone's name and then totally ignore them. "Are you two having a friends-only night by the way?" She grinned at him. Some couples did that.. not Louisa since her ex would just disappear sometimes but she knew a few couples taking a break from each other for a night or two. Totally logical to the 'claw.
The Ravenclaw waited for the boy's answer. It was really lucky that the lights were dim and there was a chance that the girls sitting few seats away from where Louisa and Jonathan stood hadn't noticed them yet. Although with Louisa's earlier call out.....
Jonathan made sure to give it all his might not to move a step more closer. What in Merlin's name is this girl thinking anyway? Now Jonathan feels like coming here in the first place is the worst idea ever. Jonathan was panicking inside. His eyes was glued to Louisa and then back to Kurumi. For that small moment, he just felt sad for no reason, being able to see her around school is fine. It wasn't trouble but the other half of it was just hurting, a lot. He couldn't see much of her though, he can only see her from the side. When he saw Kurumi's eyes moved to him, Jonathan switched to Louisa and pretended not to see her. For some reason it just felt hot or humid. And when she kept talking it only get worse, he needed to just grab her by the hand and move to a different spot right? But that would just make her confuse or worse, say more things.
Jonathan glanced over to the seats, yeah, that was pretty much a stupid lie to begin with. They had space but but but.... "I mean... I c-couldn't... we... c-couldn't interrupt" he said trying to fix his words from anymore stutters. He held on to the bucket of goodies tight and his free hand was still gripping Louisa's arm and making sure that she's not taking more of those steps.
He felt too preoccupied that even when she called him by that nickname, he didn't manage to react or want to react. He needed just one good excuse right? Something that might make her say 'okay, let's sit over here then' or something like that. Come on, Jonathan think....
When she mentioned about Kurumi being sad, Jonathan's thoughts just stopped. He starred down on the bucket of snacks he was holding. It was her mother at the time. She passed away during the summer and just..... WHY is it that Louisa doesn't know about these? Why she was upset that summer? They're friends right? Or so Jonathan thinks so...
Then he slowly lift up his gaze and turned to Louisa "Louisa... stop." those were the only words he could utter. Tightening the grip in her arms Jonathan opened his mouth once more "...Please." he begged as he averted his gaze over to the popcorn this time. He'll tell her if she asks but he's pleading to just watch it in a different corner.
"Let's watch somewhere you're comfortable with." he said forcing a smile onto his lips. And please.... say yes. Anywhere?
Glenn crept into the theatre, closing the door gently behind herself. She fussed around with fixing her hair that was falling out of it's bun before she went to get a drink and some snacks.
She'd watched this movie many times with her mother when she was little. She hadn't watched it for years - it would be good to watch it again.
She filled up her cup with lemonade and grabbed a chocolate bar. She sat down in the front row on her own, sipping her drink as she watched the movie that she was aware she had been slightly late for.
She slipped off her shoes, and snuggled into her seat. This movie reminded her of home.

Okay, so, Louisa was all happy and excited about the supposedly group movie night thing as Jonathan was tightening his grip on her arm from one side and Selina moving closer to them with this deadly-serious-I-will-break-your-face look on her face asking Louisa to move along, and from behind Selina Kurumi's whimpers stated that she was about to pass out any moment now.

When she mentioned about Kurumi being sad, Jonathan's thoughts just stopped. He starred down on the bucket of snacks he was holding. It was her mother at the time. She passed away during the summer and just..... WHY is it that Louisa doesn't know about these? Why she was upset that summer? They're friends right? Or so Jonathan thinks so...
Then he slowly lift up his gaze and turned to Louisa "Louisa... stop." those were the only words he could utter. Tightening the grip in her arms Jonathan opened his mouth once more "...Please." he begged as he averted his gaze over to the popcorn this time. He'll tell her if she asks but he's pleading to just watch it in a different corner.
"Let's watch somewhere you're comfortable with." he said forcing a smile onto his lips. And please.... say yes. Anywhere?
Louisa maneuvered herself so that she gave the girls her back and faced Jonathan... who was begging her now. BEGGING! D: Something was seriously wrong around here. Geez. Those three needed a dozen of cheering charm. "Let's go to the other side, then." She moved away from the Gryffindors, not scanning the crowd at all because if she met someone else, they might be Jonathan's sworn enemy or something. Drama was in the air alright already.
Finding an empty row a couple of steps down, Louisa slipped into one of the seats and waited for Jonathan to follow suit. She couldn't really see the people seated in front of them or even behind them, that was good, no? She placed his popcorn bowl on his lap before taking a breath and craning her neck to check on the Gryffindor girls up there. "Huh. That was beyond awkward." Awkward wasn't even close, that was weird... bad... sad.. and very unexpected. She eyed Jonathan sideways. I didn't know you guys were... fighting, she thought. Because that was why he didn't acknowledge his girlfriend at all, right? Not even when Selina came to them acting like a bodyguard.
She couldn't help but think that maybe perhaps the sadness in the train was related to this... and Lewis was holding her hand... well... Louisa's mind took adrift for a minute trying to come up with a logical explanation but she didn't voice anything out loud. Instead she just started popping some popcorn into her mouth.
She wanted to ask Jonathan like a million question but considering the way he pleaded with her, Louisa's heart couldn't just agree to this. Like she was pretty concerned about Kurumi's unhappy spirit but the Prefect had Selina there and she was apparently doing a pretty good job at it while Jonathan... he was grimacing at Louisa, thinking he was smiling genuinely but like she sensed from the beginning he wasn't fully there. If he was, he should've complained about her dragging him around or shoving that bucket into his hands. It wasn't Jonathan's nature to accept her bossiness, he wasn't Adam.
"Do you want me to tell you about the movie?" she asked softly, trying to act like she wasn't really interested in what had just happened.
Violet smiled at friend and replied. "I'm so excited for the movie though it seems a bit weird that a dangerous beast would fall in love with a girl. The cover is giving me the creepers." She laughed nervously. "Have you seen this movie before?" Violet grabbed a bag of popcorn from her bag and began to munch on it. Not realizing the movie had started already, she became really quiet and looked around the room to see if she had distracted anyone in the small room.
While looking around the room, she caught they eye of her let's say..ex-boyfriend in the room. Did he really have to be here at the wrong time? She heard him call out to her and she waved to him, but not saying anything. It was awfully quiet in the room so she kept her mouth shut. Maybe she could slide over to him and they could have a whispered conversation while the movie was starting.
Okay..just two bum scoots to the left and she would be right beside him. Violet looked apologetically at Angelina for ditching her for a couple of minutes, but she really needed to sort out her situation with Maxwell first. Not looking where she was going, she scooted too much and bumped into Maxwell's side. "Um..sorry about that." She felt herself blush, but fortunately the room was dark and he couldn't see her face properly. "Hi..Maxwell. Um..I guess my year was okay. How was yours?" she whispered softly in his ear. She wanted to cuddle him so badly or at least have another hug from him, but she knew it will never be the same since the events that had happened last year and he has a new girlfriend now. Just only if...
Maxwell smiled a little. While he was with Taylor there was still a bit of a connection there with Violet. "Hey." He said whispering, he wasn't sure she'd actually come and talk to him, he would have understood if she didn't. "Mine was all right, a little weird at times..." He said referring to his father's marriage. "But i got to go back to America for a little bit." He said smiling and hoping she could see his smile in the dark, he really was trying to be friendly. "Violet, I was really hoping we could start over....." He said realizing that taken the wrong way this could sound like him asking her out. "As friends, I'd really like to be your friend." He said hoping his whispers weren't bothering anyone, he just needed to make things right with her.

Looking away and letting the two girls speak for awhile, he watched the movie. It was this brunette girl who is supposedly to marry this guy with the ponytail. Jonathan hadn't able to watch the story from start to now so he doesn't really get the whole story with all the singing and the dancing and all of these. The next glanced he did over to Louisa, she was suddenly finding them a spot to sit. He followed her over to where she's sitting and sat down beside her.
Sigh.
At least she didn't insist on sitting there, that was such a relief for him. Jonathan still looked stunned with all just happened. He kept quiet and stayed still on his comfy chair. He knows that Louisa has been eyeing him but he couldn't just tell her right now, yes? Jonathan gave a big sigh and his heart was just pounding, aching or whatever it is that it's doing. He couldn't even look at Kurumi everytime she looked at him. Is he really going to stand on that promise that he made to her? It was painful that he could no longer even just say hi. But that was it, isn't it? She pushed him away didn't she? She wanted to be separated from him, that was what she wanted right?
Jonathan didn't have the appetite to eat anymore. Looking at the popcorn that Louisa put into his lap, he couldn't even eat it. Not even just one. So he turned his glance back to Louisa "You can have it if you want." he shrugged. "You seemed to like popcorn" yeah, she said it earlier about them being one of the most awesome snack during movies. Truth is, he just couldn't tell straightly to Louisa that he lost his appetite all of a sudden.
Awkward?
Jonathan looked down. If that was awkward to her then wait til she actually knows why it is awkward. Jonathan just crossed his arms and leaned back to watch the movie. He can see the graphics move, there are conversations held but Jonathan was just distracted. He couldn't even properly watch it anymore. He just felt uncomfortable with all of these for some reasons. Tilting his head over to Louisa, he once again forced a smile "Yeah... just... awkward" he just agreed with her instead.
Cue more silence.
Then suddenly Louisa offered to tell him the whole story. It was a nice gesture and especially coming from Louisa. The girl whom he could never agree with for most of the time and now is finally being nice to him. Was she sick? Just thinking of that had finally put a smile on his face "Sure. I seem to be lost anyway"

Whaaaa... "No! You should eat popcorn." She put the bowl back on his lap and gave him a scary playful look. "It won't be a complete cinema experience if you miss eating popcorn. Go on, just a few." She then flashed him a smile... just because he was so awkward-like and quiet today. People take care of their friends when they were like this, no? Even if those friends were only for arguing and disagreeing with.
Awkward. Okay. She left it at that. prying should come later
Oh, right, MOVIE! Louisa glanced again at the Gryffindor girls, making sure Kurumi wasn't dead yet, and then turned forward where the movie was almost reaching half.. "So you see this brunette girl? Th-" she waited until the girl reappeared on the screen, "THIS! She's Belle, the heroine... oh and see that? That's the castle where her father got locked up in.. she's going in to rescue him.." Louisa was popping popcorn into her mouth as she recited the events. The scene of Belle entering the castle continued.
The Ravenclaw left Jonathan to watch, it didn't need much explaining at this point. She waited... and got bored seeing it for the hundredth time so her eyes pulled away from the screen and looked at the people sitting on the seats in front of them. She couldn't really see their faces since they were watching the movie too. Wait a minute.. there was this boy who was.. slightly slouched in his seat... the light flashing off the screen illuminated his hair a couple of times until Louisa recognized him. LEWIS! She knew him from his hair, yes, because she saw it nestled with chocolate frog and she kept thinking it was like dark sheep's fur ever since that moment. Not her type of guy hair but it was... unique.
She smiled at the back of his head and made a mental note to say hi when this movie was over. They were now real friends ever since they fixed that plant's tooth. You don't get to get away with something like that in Bentley's classroom without getting closer to a person.

Jonathan was startled when Louisa gave him his share of popcorn back. He couldn't really say no to it and he doesn't even know why. He starred at it for the whole 3 minutes... So this is popcorn. Where's the corn? And how does it pop exactly? Does it when you start chewing it and eating it? Louisa seemed to like it a lot so maybe there was something to this treat that fascinates her a lot. Jonathan just nodded rather than answering her. He's still not going to eat it though... not even a few. Jonathan was really not having the appetite to eat. Perhaps, later?
As she started explaining to him the movie, Jonathan switched his glance over to the movie. He saw the brunette girl and her name is Belle. French for beautiful and because she is. Brunette girl that loves to read books, somehow stubborn when she was asked to eat in the castle?--- She minds her a lot of his best friend, Jeanne. Another smile was stuck on his face as he remembered her. She was gone but it was alright. Jonathan misses her already, so much. If only they were allowed to apparate from one school to another he definitely would.
Then Jonathan eyed the beast in the castle... "Is that werewolf? Or an animagus?" Jonathan couldn't stop himself from asking that. He knew the creature owned the place but why was he in that form? Unless he is a) a werewolf, which is impossible because there are no full moon on the screen and plus werewolves tend to be very violent for no reason. OR b) an animagus, that must be it right, no??? Jonathan just looked even more confused with the story.
But when Louisa wasn't able to answer right away, his looked at her. She seems to be eyeing someone in the room. Jonathan didn't bother looking at the same direction because obviously, the place is too dark and he doesn't really know who she is looking at. Instead he just waved his hand in front of Louisa's face "Who are you starring at?" wait, was she "Are you day dreaming?" she seemed to be dozing off.
