Minerva looked up and gave a very happy grin. "Think her name and she will come." She laughed. "I haven't seen you around where have you been hiding. I hope not down at our wall trying to get into trouble for it." she gave a bit of a nervous laugh. Then she thought of what she wanted to ask Laura, she knew as soon as she said it Laura would not let her back out or she might hopefully do it on her own then Minerva would know she wouldn't get in any trouble detention "Laura, what do you think about the ducks at the duck pond?"

Laura looked at Minerva and smiled. "I was just looking around, seeing which Professor was around there offices." Laura giggled though she wasn't go tell Minerva at the moment what she was planning that was going to be later on. "I think the ducks are cool." Laura smiled. "I've always wanted one." Laura giggled, did Minerva want to ducknap one, if so that would be awesome.

Minerva laughed at Laura saying she wanted one. That would be fun, but then it would get it's poop all over their dorm. She bit her lip thinking about whether she should go through with telling the idea or not. "Well I was thinking they have been there for two years now, and I'm kind of bored with their coloring. I think they could use some brighter colors, what do you think?" Minerva wondered how Laura would react to this, because they would have to get the ducks close enough to touch with their wand.

Damon burst into the common room, now freely letting tears fall. He was in the privacy of his own house, and most would know better then to bother him. He shook, what from he didn't know, but he knew his heart was shattering, he didn't know what to do anymore.

Minerva was coming down from her dorm to head over to the study room. She was deep in thought about the research she wanted to do for her dark creature. When she was about to walk out the opening she heard something that made her turn. It was Damon and he was....crying. She let her bag fall to the floor and hurried over to him. "Damon, what's wrong? Is it another memory? Are you in pain?" She wrapped her arms around him and tried to comfort him.

Damon shook still. He burried his head on Minnie's shoulder, "She... said she hated me..." His heart throbbed again. He didn't know what to do anymore, he'd lost her... the one girl he'd always thought he could fight for... He'd lost her.

Minerva couldn't believe her ears. Did he just say she hated him? No couldn't be Taylor, Minerva thought. "Damon.. it's ok.. Hun...settle down. Who hates you? What's wrong.." She didn't know what to do. She rubbed his back and tried to comfort him the best she could. What was going on, Taylor just told her that he seemed happier. What changed again she wondered.

"Taylor..." He tried to force himself to stop but it wasn't working, he reached for his wand, he would not do this now... "Deseratus." He pointed it at himself as the tears turned invisible on his cheeks, and though his voice really spoke in tremors, he knew he would sound smooth to Minnie, all he had to do was to try to stay calm, he didn't want her worrying about him. He'd survive and be alright, sooner or later.

Minerva couldn't believe her ears, why would Taylor ever say she hated him. No one could hate Damon. She was so confused and angered over this. She didn't know why she was feeling anger, but she did know she hated to see her friend that upset. Then she saw him take his wand. "Damon, you don't have to act strong, because I'm here. I am here to help you and try to comfort you. You are allowed to cry in front of me. Don't try to act like a tough guy. You don't have to. I'm just don't understand why she would say that."

Laura looked at Minerva. "I was thinking that only the other day, the ducks must be bored with the same colour, I was either thinking of dressing them up like in the film or just use a spell to change the colour either way I think it would be cool." Laura giggled. "We should do it today if we are going to." Laura smiled.

Minerva laughed at her friend. She knew if anyone she would think it was a great idea, but Minerva could feel her heart racing again just like it did with the wall in the kitchen. If she would get detention she didn't know what she would do. "How much trouble do you think we would get into for doing it? Plus, I don't know how hard it's going to be. We will need to be able to tap them with our wands." Minerva thought about this trying to come up with a plan. Tapping the ducks might not be that hard if they took food, but again there was that feeling of getting into trouble if caught, but it was her idea wasn't it.

Damon shook his head, "I'm fine... But pretty much, Taylor and I were talking, a rather normal conversation... and then she kisses me, I told her that I didn't want to date right now... I couldn't yet. She got upset, I tried to help which got her even more upset. I tried to leave and she got angry. I wrote down on my scroll trying to explain to her... And she wrote back 'I hate you'..."

Minerva didn't move her arm around him. She kept rubbing his back to try and comfort and show she was there for him. She felt horrible and still very confused. Taylor and her just had a conversation about Damon. She said she liked him, so how did it change already. Minerva then turned her head in shock. "You said you couldn't date? But Damon you have waited so long to be with her, why would you turn her down now?" A mix of emotions set in, could he possibly have feelings for her still, maybe there time together did change something, but she pushed them out no that couldn't be it, who would want Min if they could have Tay. Then she felt a side of guilt. He wasn't wanting to date and she had jumped into another relationship. Her doubts that had already been explosive jumped even more. Her heart ached a bit for Damon, part because she didn't want him sad, the other wanting to be close to him again. "Damon, I don't think she meant it. She was just upset from you turning her down most likely, believe me I talked to her the other day and she does like you. There is no hate for you."

"I just can't right now, there's to much going on to even think about it at the moment." He sighed, shaking his head, "And I mean... we both just broke up with someone... I feel we should wait to see if what we think is there really is." He looked at her attempting to smile, but couldn't really manage it, "And whether she meant it or not, it was said..."

Minerva's mind was racing. She couldn't believe any of it. She couldn't believe her ears. He broke up with her because he loved Taylor, now he wasn't going to date Taylor either. He was more confusing the a girl. She didn't know whether to put him in a hug or not. She still had her arm around him and wasn't about to move it. "I can understand the just break up thing, especially when she was with Maxwell longer and probably is still mixed up with her feelings for him." she said nothing about herself, because she knew the truth. They were not together that long and he did not have the feelings she had for him. He said it himself it was a sister love he had for her, not a relationship one and she had to accept that. Which she was, wasn't she by trying to move on being with Maxwell, but then again was that a big mistake. Why did this group have to be so confusing. "Damon, I think if you give some time to cool down you will see. She is going to apologize, because she did not mean it. Damon she told me her self that she was starting to like you, like you. I probably shouldn't tell you that, but I guess you kind of already knew that since she told you while we were still together." she looked away for a second and then put her blue eyes back on his.

He looked at her, knowing that hurt was probably still showing from her saying it. He hated making people worry about him. He sighed, "It's not just because of you and Maxwell. I've got this thing with Puck and Sage going on, and I just... I don't know who I can trust anymore and I'm just not ready to jump back into dating someone. Plus the idea of hurting her..." He shook his head, "I still feel horrible for how badly I hurt you. If I was to do the same to her... I don't know what I'd do. I can't hurt her like that. I hated hurting you, and I didn't want to do it."

Minerva felt horrible for him. She knew that feeling that he was showing and it broke her heart all over again seeing him like that. She fully hugged him this time. "I know you have a lot going on. I hate that all of this is happening. Your dad and Sage shook your world and that isn't fair at all." She pulled from the hug and put her hands on both sides of his face and moved it so he was looking at her. She took a deep breath before looking into his green eyes. "Damon, I hope you know you can trust me with anything. I will always be here for you." She tried to search his eyes to see if he did or if he felt that he couldn't. "Stop feeling bad about hurting me. It's done and over. Yes it did hurt, but it's because my feelings for you are just stronger then yours are to me." she didn't even realize that she did not at the word were, but when she is looking in those eyes it's like nothing had changed. "In relationships you take the risk of getting hurt, a risk that the other person isn't going to feel the same way. I took that risk and I would do it again." she let go of his face and looked away feeling embarrassed for saying that. "Damon, I know you did not mean to hurt me and it's over now. We are still friends and I'm okay. So please stop hated yourself over it and forgive yourself. I have weeks ago."

Damon looked at her, "It's difficult." He sighed. Damon would never admit it to himself but he did have a big heart. One at that that couldn't stand hurting anyone, "I know you're alright with it." Thought I have doubts that you actually forgave me. Now I'm probably a burden, "But I still feel horrible for it."

Minerva searched his face. There was no getting through to him was there. Well there might be one way, but it could hurt him worse then helping. Could she actually do it. She knew she would have to tell him sooner or later, but telling him closed all doors in her eyes to ever being able to be with him again, but those doors were never actually open in the first place. "Damon I know it's difficult, but your a strong person and I know you can get through anything and you I know I've said it a million times, but you don't have to do it alone. I'm always here to talk." Her heart jumped knowing it was the only way to get it through to him not to feel bad. "Damon, stop feeling bad, you did nothing wrong. I actually am thankful that you did it. If you wouldn't have it would have made things a lot worse later." she kissed his cheek just in a friendly way. "Damon there is something I want and maybe need to tell you. I want you to hear it from me. Maybe once I tell you, you will understand that I am okay and just want you to be happy."

Damon looked at her, "What is it?" He sighed, going to tell the truth about hating me so I'll leave you be and maybe finally getting me away from this idiotic school...

Minerva looked into those green eyes, she felt all confidence running away from her to say what she knew needed to be said. Could she tell him, if she did that would mean that she was finally accepting everything that had happened knowing there might not be a turn back. "Damon I don't want you worrying about me. I am not hurt about it and I really want you to stop blaming yourself. You did what your heart told you to do and that's all you can do. That's why I have to tell you that..well" she looked away, would he be happy, mad, upset. She knew his true feelings about Maxwell. "I've actually started seeing someone." Still not looking at him, she knew if she looked into those eyes she would back out. "I have actually started seeing Maxwell." She looked at him wondering how he would react.

Damon looked at her, "Congrats." He smiled, "I'm happy for you, and maybe this'll make him not want to wring my neck as badly as we all know he wants to."

Minerva looked at him trying to read him. Did it bother him at all. She looked away, why should it bother him, he didn't ant her after all, but she had to feeling that she was going down the same road she had just been on with Damon. She knew Maxwell had feelings for Taylor and she couldn't go through that again, could she. She looked back at him and gave him a small smile. "Damon, I.. I thought if you knew maybe you would see that I am not upset with you and that well I am just here to be your friend nothing more. We can have that.." she really had to force the wording out without the emotion she wanted to have. "that sibling love between one another with no more awkwardness." She knew she had more there then he did, but she would force that away, she need to just think of Maxwell now.

Damon looked at her, "I know... I know you aren't upset with me. I am though, for more then just you..." He shook his head. "My mom died trying to protect me." He hadn't told anyone how his mother had truly died.

Minerva felt a little better after telling him, but she still had this hint of dread that they were just friends and would never be more. Her thoughts were shifted when he brought up his mom. "What, Damon what do you mean?"This was just getting worse for him by the day, wasn't it she thought. She wished she had a way to make all of this disappear, but she knew she couldn't.
