After reading a few chapters Justin went fishing into his bag and pulled out his iPod and went through his play list until he came to a song that was song by a muggle songstress that was quite popular back in the early 2000's. He put the ear pieces in his ears and began to mmble along with the words. " Someone like you..." he sung to himself under his breath. Depressed he picked up his book again and read along while continuing to sing in a hardly audible volume. He knew Minie had seen him walk in , but didn't even bother to say hello.

Damon smiled, "A biography, actually." He looked over his shoulder seeing Justin he felt a little bad, he looked at Min, "He's upset about something." He nudged his head towards Justin.

"Well I think that will be pretty interesting." she smiled at him. "You do have plenty to write about. When you finish can I be one of the first to read it?" She looked over at Justin. They had become friends again, but things were still a bit awkward with them, plus Justin knew her feelings towards Damon. "I will talk to him later, he's just going through things lately, he'll be okay, right now I'm talking with you."

He nodded, "Of course you can." He shook his head, "I need to go find Taylor and appoligize. So go ahead, your friend needs your help."

Minerva looked at him a little disappointed, but she understood. "Yeah, that's fine. I will see you later." Her tone showed her disappointment. She got up and walked over to Justin, plopping down next to him and kicking her feet up placing them over his lap. She knew he wouldn't care and she wanted to stretch out a bit. "So what's wrong with you? I guess it's now Minnie's therapist service." Well that's how she felt today. Going from problem to problem trying to fix everything for everyone. She pulled one of the ear pads out of his ear and stuck it in hers to see what he was listening to.

" Oh, hey, Min..... Naw Im alright. Just reading. " he said. There was no sense in telling her what was the problem since it wouldn't do a bit of good anyhow.
" The singer is some woman named Adele. Sometimes music helps my moods. " Justin said as he smiled over to her. It was feeling like the old times with her so comfortable relaxing accrossed him. Ever since first year this is how they hung out. It was nice having her so close again.... Although this time she was untouchable... Completely out of reach and he hated that.

Minerva looked at him "Don't give me that, somethings up. What's going on?" She took the ear piece out not really caring for the song, but didn't want to say anything. She hated when he lied to her, she could see it in his eyes, when he was lying. "I don't know her. Whatcha reading?" She glanced at the book surprised he had a book that he actually read. "So what's going on with you and Ronnie did you talk to her like I told you to or have you been avoiding her like you do me?"

Nate walked into the common room nervously. He saw Justin talking to Minnie on the other side of the room. He took out his notebook to the pages he put down last year. He still didn't even start his story. So he walked over to Justin and said "Hi justin. How was your summer?" Nate wondered. He pulled out his quill and ink set.

" Really, Min. It's nothing.... Not really important... a bit childish really. Well, I like her. Her music speaks to me right now... And no I haven't even bothered trying to find Ronnie. " he admitted. " And I never avoided you... You avoid me. " he retorted. " And the book is something my mother gave me just before I left home to stay at the leaky. It's a book she started to write when I was little. Every once in a while she would add to it... I think she wants me to add my own ending or something." Justin shrugged.


" Uninteresting... How about yours , Nate? " Jstin answered the small second year that scared the crap out of everyone in the common room that day his wierd instrument that nearly kille him.

She looked at Justin not buying it. "I hate when you lie to me.. There is something wrong and you need to tell me or I'm getting up and headed to my room." She wasn't trying to be a brat, but she was irritated that he was keeping something from her. They never kept secrets, so why start now. "Well would you want to write an ending to a book? That would be neat." She ignored the part about the avoiding, she was over it, it was in the past, and she was done fighting about it.

" Min, I still have a hard time seeing you with other guys... I didn't like how we ended it. And I know that I'll get over it , but right now it just .... I want you to be happy and if it isn't with me than so be it. But I'm not going to pretend that you mean nothing to me. " he blurted. There it's al been said and done. No more secret thoughts or feelings.

Minerva sighed, "Just I don't like how things ended either, but they did end and we just need to work past that. I guess it was just easier for me to go back to being friends. I'm sorry that it bothers you. Maybe if you find someone that makes you feel really happy you will feel the same way I do right now." Unfortunately she wasn't sure which one was making her feel really happy, she was still confused on that part. "You don't have to pretend that I was nothing, we are still friends and hopefully best friends again at some point."

" I know all that, Min. I'll be fine. Jst having you ask my mum to move in with your guardians brought back alot of memories for me... Now the shoe's on the other foot, ya know?" he said as he shifted himself for a moment. " Min, We were never not best friends. " he said as he gave her a hug. " Always."

Minerva hugged him back "I'm glad we are, because I hated when we weren't speaking. It just didn't seem right." Minerva pulled back and smiled at him. "Hey Leelee said that it was fine for Vinnie to move in if she wanted. So send an owl to your mom."

" Oh... Alright. I will later." he said as he put his hands behind his head and laid down. " I'll send Persius after a nap. "

"Same old same old. Skeleton in the basement. Ghould in the attic. You know normal stuff. Well at least for my family that's normal." Nate then had a conused look on his face because he didn't know what to write about!

Minerva got up and grabbed her bag. She wasn't just going to sit there as he took a nap, she could be studying in the study room or headed to the library. "Well you have a nice nap Justin, I'm going to head out. I have some work to get done. You know homework doesn't do it's self." She gave an an eyed look to see if he would comment on doing or not doing his work.

Ella was positively beaming when she walked into the Hufflepuff common room. She had done it, made the quidditch team...HER! She couldn't shake the feeling that this was some kind of dream or something. Would she wake up if she was pinched? *Pinches self* "Ouch!" Nope, definitely not a dream. GRIN. Spotting an empty arm chair, the second year plopped down, looking around for familiar faces. Surely someone would want to celebrate with her, no? While she waited, the second year pulled some gummy worms from her pocket and ate them happily.

After a hard day of analyzing Transfiguration class notes and reading about dragons, Aliza finally managed to finish her homework and believed it was now time for some reading. She strolled into the common room, scanning the room for familiar faces. She didn't really know anyone there, just a few people she spotted in her classes. Aliza walked over to a big armchair and plopped down in it. Opening her text book, she turned to the chapter on vampires.

Jordon walked down from the boys dormitory with his guitar in hand. He walked over to the fireplace and sat down on the floor in front of it. He crossed his legs, sat the guitar in his lap, and began to play a low, soft tune.

Ella looked up from her place by the fire and was pleasantly surprised to see someone with a guitar. Another player? Grin. And she didn't know this boy, which was kind of nice. The second year always liked to meet new people. Sitting up a little straighter in her chair, she tapped the boy on the shoulder. "Hey, I'm Ella."

While engrossed in readings on vampires, Aliza was interrupted by the low soft strumming of a guitar. She just enjoyed guitar music and whoever was playing was really good. She looked around to see a boy strumming softly. She smiled at him and watched as a girl walked towards him and introduced herself. Aliza closed her eyes and just enjoyed the music. This was a good time to take a break from reading.

Jordon stopped playing for a moment and turned to see a girl behind him. "Hi, I'm Jordon." He said smiling. He looked over at a girl that had stopped reading and was maybe sleeping now. Perhaps she was listening to him play. "Maybe," he thought, looking back to Ella.

"Nice to meet you, Jordon." Ella said cheerfully, taking a seat next to the older boy. "So how long have you been playing?" The second year asked, nodding towards the guitar. She was pretty curious, especially since she was taking an interest in that particular instrument. "I only just started playing last term but I'm getting pretty good. Lots of practicing and such..."

Jordon smiled "nice to meet you too." he said. "Umm since I was seven or eight I think." He thought for a minute, "Yeah that's probably right." He started strumming a few chords while they talked. "Oh, you're the first person I've met at Hogwarts that knew how to play at all." Jordon nodded, "I'd love to hear you play sometime."
