Adam approached the first compartment, JB glued to the side of his hip so that Adam could always feel the dog's body pressed up against his leg as he looked for an open compartment. Seeing that the second one was completely open, Adam pushed open the doors, leading the way in before closing it shut behind him along with all the noise and confusion. Adam looked down at JB and let out a long sigh before sitting down with his over stuffed back pack. Adam leaned his head back, closing his eyes for a moment as JB hopped up on the bench next to him, lying his head on Adam's leg. With a small smile, but still keeping his eyes closed, Adam laid his hand on top of the dog's head.
Louisa was racing down the corridors peeking into each compartment on her way to the back of the train. She thought that leaving Adam the whole trip is not polite. They always found each other once they were on the train. Besides, didn't he say that JB was coming to Hogwarts this term? Yeah, more to the reason.
"AHA!" She jumped when she glimpsed him through the window and SLID the door open rather noisily. "Hi!" And quickly she closed the door behind her and knelt before JB's head scratching behind his ears and grinning up at Adam. "I've been looking all over for you. Train sick?" Because he was with closed eyes when she walked on him.
Louisa got up and sat down next to him, moving JB's head to rest on her thighs so the dog would be lying across their both laps. She then looked up at Adam beaming. Yep, she'd missed him and wanted him to know that she was maybe ready to move on from Joao.
"Yes, I am a first year," said Sarah, now no longer 'busy'. She looked at Sophie with a smile. " What year are you in? My name is Sarah Edwards by the way, a rather old fashioned name, yet I do like old fashioned things..."
Aha! First year. That was why she wasn't hanging out with anyone yet. That was about to change though! "I'm a second year now!" Sophie was finally getting used to saying that. She actually liked it a lot! "It's very niec to meet you, Sarah!" She added. "Oh, it's not old fashioned!" Hah! This girl sounded nice!
"So, what are you looking forward to the most??" Probably a bunch of things, being a first year and all! Sophie remembered being all excited about being sorted into a house!

So, going back to Hogwarts... A large part of Aurora was a little nervous about this year. She was going to have to take her OWLs... And that meant a lot of reading and writing. She wished they could be entirely practical - her dyslexia made the idea of exams so sickening that she wanted to jump off the train and go home before it left - however mild her dyslexia may be. But there was no way she could become a successful potioneer without the proper training.
That wasn't the only part of this term Aurora wasn't looking forward to - there was still the whole boy issue to deal with. She had wanted to ask Tiff about it but Aethelwyne had seemed annoyingly omnipresent until yesterday and she hadn't got the chance to say anything this morning. It worried her that Kennedy could be so jealous sometimes, she felt that he didn't trust her enough. But was she right? Did he actually have a problem with her and the boys or was it just other boys in general? She would have to talk about it some point but she really really didn't want to. And then there was the whole issue with Jonathan, did she really have to tell Kennedy that they'd seen each other already? That could be awkward conversation.. It could actually ended an argument or something and Aurora was not prepared for another one of those arguments. They just weren't worth anything. All they did was cause further problems and make Aurora or Kennedy upset. She wished that they didn't have to deal with that but then maybe that was what it was like to be in a relationship this long. Aurora was not sure that she liked it...
Delilah couldn't believe that Aurora had just gone so quickly. She'd PROMISED to share a compartment with her!
Luckily though, Aurora's REALLY BRIGHT RED hair made it easy to try and find her. After saying goodbye to her dad, the small girl dragged her trunk along the platform as she battled her way through the sea of students (struggling to see above most of their heads; why must she be so SHORT?!) in a desperate attempt to find her... How would she describe Aurora to her? They weren't... friends. They'd only spoken properly once before, and that was only a few weeks ago.
Catching sight of Aurora again as she boarded the train, near the front.
THE FRONT OF THE TRAIN?!
OH WHYYYYYYYYYY.
Why the front of the train?!
When they crash, it's the people at the front that get killed first!
To Delilah, it wasn't even a question of IF the train crashed. It was WHEN. (There's also the fact that the magical qualities of the Hogwarts Express would probably protect the train from such disasters, but there's no way Delilah believes this.) She sighed as she heaved her trunk in the same direction: her desire to spend the train ride with someone defeating her fear of the front of the train.
15 minutes later, Delilah had found the compartment that Aurora was in, but only because the girl had her head stuck out of the compartment door.
"Thanks for waiting for me." She sounded a little too sincere for the comment to be sarcastic, but she was getting there - with her sarcasm. She was learning. Slowly.

João got on the train from the front of it, for it was his favourite part. It was both quiet and close to the prefects, so it was also a save heaven from stupid children. Prefects saw to it successfully.
Carrying his trunk easily--for now that he could perform magic, his first attempt had been easing the trunk's weight, he walked the corridor slowly. He had successfully avoided Louisa and everything about her. He had never really looked into the faces of people, but he was now extra careful not to look at them. He looked at their body or legs or anywhere except the faces. Hopefully, Louisa also had new clothes too so he wouldn't recognise her from her clothes.
Though, before he could even register, he saw her. With him. She even made eye contact with him, standing there as her ex boyfriend. And she laid her head on his shoulder.
On Adam's filthy shoulder there now lay her head.
So, she'd left him for that scumbag. It was an insult to him, actually. So, her standards were that lowered. She was that pathetic... and he, the grand João was even more pathetic now, for he still cared about her.
Not anymore.
After about 30 seconds' shock and halt, his face hardened once he fully registered the vision before him and he went on with stronger will. At least he now knew where they sit TOGETHER.
Finding somewhere FAR AWAY from those two, he sat down and threw his luggage away, making a big noise.
Scumbag Adam. But João Neves of course wouldn't leave it therei letting him steal his girlfriend like that.
Aha! First year. That was why she wasn't hanging out with anyone yet. That was about to change though! "I'm a second year now!" Sophie was finally getting used to saying that. Sarah pondered the question for a moment... Sure, if she had been asked the question just days ago she would have rattled off a whole list, yet now, it had vanished into thin air. Yet something flickered in her memory. Yes, Quidditch, the Library with endless books, being sorted into a house, exploring the castle, doing real magic and most of all being with people her own age. Yet the library part sounded nerdy, maybe leave that out?
"I am really looking forward to playing quidditch with a real snitch and quaffle (not the bludger...), yet In my family there are only boys, so I am looking forward to being around girls, have no one scoff me when I talk about fashion, you know, girl stuff. I also can't to explore Hogwarts, the enchanted castle, being able to use magic, learn more things and being sorted into a house".
Sarah paused, berating herself for being such a chatterbox... She continued. "What house are you in? My father was in Ravenclaw, while my mother was in Griffindor, and I exhibit signs of being like both of them! They are both cool houses so I will not mind which one I get into".
Blue dragged open the door and dumped her trunk in.
She sat down on the seat, bouncing. Always bouncing. She was very VERY excited. She was going to Hogwarts!!! BUTCHA KNOW WHAT WOULD BE EVEN BETTER?!?!?! If ALL the first years came in here and they had like a partaaay or something. To celebrate there newly-found Hogwarts-ness!
Long metal tubes.... Jonathan HATED long metal tubes. Especially ones filled with annoying kids who didn't know what they were doing. Ah, well. Hogwarts...
Hoggy Hoggy Hogwarts....
Jonathan made a giant leap for mankind onto that train. He simply had with him one trunk. One trunk. No animal, no extra bag, nope! Jonathan just fit everything he had in that single trunk.
PROBLEM???
He was still wearing his summer clothes, he wouldn't be changing into his Hogwarts robes until he was forced to. The boy had on a loose fitting t-shirt with the "Superman" logo on it, and shorts... Along with his aviator glasses. Yup... Not going to school... Not going to school... Not in a long metal tube and not going to school...
He had to find a compartment before they were all swarmed.
So, Jonathan inched his out of place self down the aisle to find a compartment and wouldn't you know it, he came across his BUDDEH Aurora, and that cute girl, Delilah.
Hello, cute girl, Delilah....
Entering the compartment he announced himself while moving passed Delilah who hadn't sat down yet, "GOOD DAY!" Jonathan tossed his trunk on a shelf, and plopped on down across from Aurora.
Johnathan found an empty place to sit in. He placed his stuff down and sighed. Back for one more and final year at Hogwarts, he felt a bit melancholy. First off because his girlfriend was not with him, second because he knew he wasn't gonna come back next year, third because he was just going to miss everyone back home. But his brother-from-another-mother would definitely help ease his anxiety.
He sat there contemplating on how was this year gonna go. He wasn't on planning to be traveling back and forth from Boston and Hogwarts, like last year. That totally sidetracked his studies completely.

Delilah was taking AGES! Pfft. Aurora had let Sebastian and Giacomo out as she waited - though that made very little difference - they just curled up in a different seat and cuddles each other rather than in the carrier. Her cat really had a soft spot for the Pygmy puff... Then again, Sebastian had a soft spot for anything. He was such a softie. As for Giacomo... He was just a ball of cuddly fluff.
Aurora poked her head out again, come ooooooon. There! She grinned as she let Delilah into the compartment. "But you'd've kicked yourself if I waited and we didn't get our own compartment." she retorted. She was about to slide the door closed when..

"So... Long metal tubes, eh?"
Aurora raised her eyebrows at Jonathan. "It's September..." she said, pointing at his shorts. "And we are going to Scotland." because who greets people with 'hello' nowadays? Aurora shifted over a seat so that he wasn't say in front of her and propped her feet up on the seat opposite. Sebastian apparently thought he was going to be sat on and stood up, grabbing the Pygmy puff in his mouth and jumped onto Aurora's lap.
Long metal tubes... Yep. Aurora hated trains. They were so tedious..."I wish we could get there by flying carpet or something..." she said. And there was no comparison between that and brooms - there was more to hold you with a carpet...

Kennedy managed to slip out of the Prefects compartment for a while to check the corridors and make sure everyone was okay and not messing around. He had a feeling this was going to be an interesting year and that made him both anxious and excited.
As he passed a compartment his eyes briefly looked inside and he did a double-back when he saw the only passenger was none other than his brother from another mother, Johnathan. He didn't need to knock the door, he knew he was welcomed wherever his best friend was.
Kennedy slid the door, but before entering he paused when he heard a loud greeting from somewhere, but with a shrug he shut the door behind him. At least it wasn't a plea for help or anything like that.
"Hey, John," he said, slouching onto the seat in front of his friend. He was tired...well, not physically tired, but his brain felt as if it had been run over by a train.

Yes.
That would be very awesome.
Very VERY awesome.
It would be full awesomeness.
SO MUCH OLD.
Theodore hadn't seen ONE other person that was under the age of... thirteen? Anyone in their teens was not a good person to chat with Theodore. He didn't like the old. BLEEEEH.
He heaved his trunk in front of him into the nearest compartment at the front of the train.
There was a small person in there. So he entered without any problems. "HELLLOOOOOOOOOO." Oh, wait... he knew this person. It was the girl who likes puke!
He couldn't remember if they were officially friends, though.
... :/

Lousy stress.
John smiled as he saw Kennedy. Kennedy looked somewhat stressed, he was definitely on the same boat as John. Mr. O'Mally (John's cat) purred as he slept on top of John's sweater, his fat belly hanged to side as he was comfortably sleeping on his long back.
"Wad'up man? looks like someone needs a nap." John teased, as he wanted to know what was wrong with him, but didn't want to meddle in his life. He didn't mind filling in his soon to be 'best man' in the wedding plans or housing arrangements, that was leaving the seventeen year old stressed out of his mind.
"It's so surreal that I'm leaving to Hogwarts for my last year!" he said as he looked at his new letterman jacket with the gryffindor lion crested on the front, this jacket his mom had made for him as early graduation present. "How's everything going with you?" he asked.

"Oh hello!"
Was this the kid who didn't really/sorta call her a boy? Yes 'twas. Theodore or something? But atleast he was a first year! So that meant they could sort of start the first year party and make loads of pals slash friends! YAY! 'Cause all her magicky friends seemed to be oldies and Blue did not like that.
Not that they weren't nice or anything. It's just that...well, they were all on about boyfriends (gross) and make-up (uuugggghhh) and that sort of thing. And Blue considered that sort of thing to be disgusting. It really should be band in her oppinion.
But now she could meet new first year!friends which was YAAAAAAY!
Very much yay!
She bounced a little again to prove how excited she was.

Alec ruffled his hair slightly as he made his way down the train corridor. Why he was so nervous, he didn't know. But something inside of him, maybe an inner anxiety, was making him super nervous. And, that was making him ruffle his hair even more.
This wasn't good.
But the twelve year old's eyes picked up on something. A spare compartment! He grinned as he opened the door and entered the empty compartment. This was great! He didn't mind meeting new people but... in his nervous state, it probably wasn't best to sit with a lot of people right now, unless they were his friends.
Alec shrugged off his bag and dumped it on a seat before sitting down on the seat by the window. He rummaged in his bag and brought out the special little bag of sweeties he always carried around. What a way to start off his second year!

With pink ted tucked underneath her arm Indiana was very ready to be going back to Hogwarts. In fact she had been packed for nearly a week now. Indy loved Hogwarts. It had finally been somewhere where she felt really at home. And so she was so glad to be going back. Just one long journey and then they'd be there. Enjoying a great feast to start of a great year. But first she was going to make sure that she had an epic journey to hogwarts. Indy had brought lots of her sweeties, so she was going to eat them all. Hehe. Hopefully she'd still have room for the feast when they got there.
Now she just needed to find somewhere to sit. Hmm. The wandered along the corridor, trying to find a place with someone she knew. Oooh. And there was Alec! Perfect. She could sit with him right? He was her friend after all. "Aleccc." Indy smiled, pushing the door open and wandering in. "Can I sti with you??"

Sophie felt like she was surfing. The train was going faster and faster and she was standing there, trying to balance herself. That was one of her favorite things about the Hogwarts Express. First, because she could see all of her friends again, seconds because it was taking her back to Hogwarts and thiiird... she could SUURF! Heh!
This Sarah girl was indeed looking forward to a looot of things! And she should! IT WAS HOGWARTS!! "You'll love your time there!" And she wanted friends that were girls! Haha! "Well, weee can be friends!" She said grinning and throwing her arms up and trying hard to keep her balance.
"Ooohhh, my dad was a Ravencalw too! But I'm a Hufflepuff like my mum." Sophie smiled. "All four houses are really cool!" She did like them all!

Theodore couldn't remember her name. He knew it was something he hadn't heard as a NAME before. But yet, it was cool at the same time. He squinted slightly in her face.
Balloon... came to mind. OH. "Blue, is your name, is it?" IS IT, IS EEEEEET? Next question was, "And....... are we friends?" He said, remembering their annoying little quarrel on their first encounter.
Summin' about him calling her a boy, and her calling him a girl...
But yeah... He would let that go! Cos he was a GENT.
Theodore saw her bounce and he felt the urge to do it, too. But managed to restrain himself. He'd give himself head rush if he bounced anymore today. Instead, he BEEEEEEEEEEAMED.

Alec leant back in his seat as he stared at the other end of compartment he was sitting in. His grey-blue eyes glazed over slightly as his mind started to wonder to the possibilities of the upcoming year. He could play Quidditch again! And maybe he could make his Dad proud again. And new friends! He could make plenty of them as well.
Speaking of friends, one of his friends had come to join him! Alec's head snapped to the doors as a grin spread across his face. "Indy! Hey!" he said, sitting up. He couldn't be slouching around everywhere when he was joined by someone he knew. They could always slouch later.
And... was she really asking that? After the way she let someone like him sit in a compartment with him, she wanted to know if she could now? What a third year! "Yeah, sure!" he said, "My sweeties were wondering when you'd pop along."
Shuffles through the corridor... Looking for an available compartment... If he is lucky enough... AHA! This one only has a guy in it. One hand slides the door open while another drags the bag. As soon as the door slides open, a Norwegian forest kitten skips into the compartment and hops on the seat where it walks around before curling itself.
"Lei! Get down, now!" commanded Xing in Cantonese. Perhaps the feline understands what its master says as it hops off the seat immediately, wiggling his tail while looking at the boy keeping his luggages into the compartment above the seat. After everything settles, Xing finally settles down to see a boy about his age sitting in front of him. "I am sorry about just now. My name is Xing, by the way. Xing Canterbury." It is always polite to apology when you know you might have caused someone to feel uncomfortable. Although he hopes that his weak English skills won't annoy the other boy even more.
Oh hey, company has arrived! He was about to look up to greet and to grin at the person who entered when his attention was preoccupied by a cat who suddenly hopped over at the seats. Blink. And soon followed some words that sounded different to Zeke but seemed like an order for the feline to get off the seats. Now was the time he got a good look of the boy that just entered that was now placing his stuff to their proper places. Did he just speak cat language? AWESOMEEEE! The dude speaks feline talk. Zeke would let him teach him that soon. Maybe he could talk to all animals! Waaaay cool.
When the guy was finally seated, the introductions began. For formality stuff, you know. Zeke smiled and nodded, "It's all cool." There was no harm done anyway. Just an overexcited cat. He's seen worse with Oakey and his owl. Tsk, crazy owl, scratching its own owner with its claws while flapping its wings like it was mad. Oakey said it was fine though, maybe it always acted that way. Xing? "Nice to meet you Xing," he said, still smiling. At leas the was meeting more guys his age instead of those girls. "My name's Zeke." Just Zeke. Yeah, nicknames were good.
Jess had just made her way into the Front of the Train. Sunglasses still on, her lips were red from the candy she had been eating before getting into the train. In one hand she had her magazine and scarf, in the other one she pulled with some difficulty the pink trolley that she had just bought since her last one got ruined during the summer break. After several moments of struggle to unstuck the trolley from a creek on the wooden floor, she managed to pull it through into a cabin where some people were already sitting. She then resumed her efforts of putting her stuff away and, blessing the train for it's ups and downs, put it in the upper bagage compartment.
Sinking into a free sitting space she sighed loudly, never losing the smile and pulled her glasses up into her hair, she searched her bag for a few seconds and took another candy from her bag which she promptly placed in her mouth while she aranged herself for the trip.
" Sorry about that, I'm Jess by the way !" and she smiled.

"So... Long metal tubes, eh?"

Aurora poked her head out again, come ooooooon. There! She grinned as she let Delilah into the compartment. "But you'd've kicked yourself if I waited and we didn't get our own compartment." she retorted. She was about to slide the door closed when..
Delilah eyed the cat as she made her way into the compartment. “He’s cute.” She commented, quietly. Then she noticed that there was the Pygmy puff, too. “Oh.”
When Aurora brought waiting meaning no compartment to themselves, Delilah blinked, then nodded. “Yeah... I suppose so.”
And then that boy appeared - the one who'd given her the flowers (the same flowers which were in a small pouch in her trunk, right now), and pushed right passed her to come into the compartment. RUDE. She watched him as he put his trunk on the shelves, before eyeing her own trunk which was still near the door. There was NO way she was going to be able to lift it up on her own... She fiddled with the name label on the top of it while trying to figure out how to get it into the shelves without asking for Jonathan’s help... Her trunk would be fine just... there, right? It wasn’t in anyone’s way. Hmm.
Delilah didn’t really notice what Aurora was saying to Jonathan. She was too busy staring at his shirt curiously. Then, of course, she REALISED she was STARING. Oh no! Um. Right. Time to sit down... and focus on something that wasn’t the Superman shirt.
She studied the compartment really quickly, before sitting next to Aurora.
What were they talking about? Metal tubes? … Oh. The train, right. … Magic carpets?! Was she INSANE?! “Or... y’know. The Floo. It’s quicker.” Yup. That was Delilah’s contribution to that conversation. As long as they didn’t crash, she didn’t care how they got to school, really.

Whare's a seat that's open, here's one. Time to get aquainted with my classmates, thought the new girl. Charlit, shakingly sat down in the compartment. Nervous that she would end up friendless, well she still had friends back at her old school. But here, it could be a whole different story. She saw another girl slide into the open seat beside her, "Sorry for what, sighing?, Im [URL="http://i1212.photobucket.com/albums/cc450/Mirrors1144/25zmnuf.jpg"]Charlit[/URL by the way, pleased to meet' cha" Charlit replied.

"The sighing, the noise and most of all for my struggle with that trolley, if only I could just levitate it to it's place, it would me much easier, but you know, no magic allow outside the school until you're of age..." she wrinkled her nose at that thought.
She put her magazine away, convinced that maybe now she would have someone to have a nice chat with.
"My name is Jess" she said with a smile.

"Oh ya, the hogwarts express technically isn't Hogwarts, so guess you were stuck!" Charlit replied, punning on stuck. "Im Charlit" she replied. Maybe this would be easier then it looked, finding people to talk to here wouldn't be as hard as she'd thought. It did not seem as cliquy as she'd imagined. "So tell me... what's life like at Hogwarts? Im brand New, I used to live in North Amarica". Charlit squinted at the sun which was right outside her window. "I wish we could use a spell to fix that!" she said, pointind at the sun.

"Well, nice to mee you Charlit!" she rummed through her bag for a second and took another piece of candy out " would you like some?" she asked Charlit, while extending her hand with the candy to her.
This was a good beginning she thought.
"I must confess, I was starting to feel a little lonely over here, I haven't been able to find any of my school mates yet, and this train ride always takes too much time, I can't wait to be in school !"
