Nigel was glad he signed up for the Final. But it seemed like she could not get a Werewolf metal sculpture here, so now all Nigel could do was read about them. Nigel did not mind reading but he did want to see a figure of one and look around at all the other ones.

Nigel got up from his desk and went to get a couple of books on Werewolves. He hoped he could find a book that would talk about the Homorphus Charm and Wolfsbane Potion. But he did need to do research on Werewolves because he had a paper and speech to write after all.

This was so cool!

Professor Romanos was actually helping them with their projects!

Well... sort of. She had all those books with useful stuff, and even the statues! THAT was called helping, since Nora knew she'd have a lot to research, because she wanted her essay and speech to be perfect. But... there was something on her mind. "Professor?" She asked hesitantly, as she raised her hand. "I wanted my project to be about trolls, but... is it good enough?" She wasn't really sure if they were dark creatures, or whatever they needed to look for, so it was better to ask now, rather than later, when it might be... too late.

Sarah changed positions. Oh-that is why the creatures were there. "Professor does the boggart have real form? I mean what does it look like when it is in the dark place?" Sarah enquired. Her eyes scanned the room for a boggart.

João waved his other hand impatiently at her. "I'm not afraid," he said and nearly rolled his eyes. He wasn't that scared! It was just that--he didn't feel it was okay, and you sometimes have to trust your instincts. But even then, he figured she wouldn't understand it. Even if she did--she would just do whatever she wanted. It wasn't like she felt anything at all--so why would she listen to him now?

Go sit. I want to look at the dementor.

Of course she did. Of course he could go and sit. There wasn't anything that kept him there, really. Or that shouldn't at least. He kept her gaze and hand one more second. Then saying "You're right," with a very different tone that suggested he'd just realised that, he smirked and moved to a mat as away from her and Louisa as possible.



Do something with divination professor? ...okay. He half-did the stretching, not paying too much attention to it. He only did them for a few seconds. He then stopped to listen to the professor.

He didn't really have a project. Should he have had one? He looked around at the creatures and then... it was too hard to decide on one. Maybe he could just act as if he had one and then do no project? Though the assignment DID sound enjoyable... well. He'd just choose the one neither Aspen, nor Louisa was working on.

Jonathan saw the Divination professor came in. Since the lecture was still going on, it'd be rude for Jonathan just to randomly greet her. Although it would still be rude if he didn't, so instead, he gave the Divination professor a warm smile as he glanced over to where she was. She's going to help them today? With what exactly though?

Then Professor Romanos explained how they will be going to study their creatures for their finals. This is actually a good thing because Jonathan hasn't started yet in researching it. He saw the metal sculptures that is moving. She did say, it is normal that they do. After all, she made them herself, just like the spider she offered him to hold earlier.

And since Jonathan is going to be talking about werewolves on his finals, he frowned as he looked over the metal sculptures. He wanted to observe them more rather than to read a book. He let out a sigh, fine. He can still go with the books anyway.

He then saw the professor shifting her position into a different one this time. Jonathan followed her. At least no yoga today? Just stretching exercises... Not that he was against those yoga poses in the first place. He found them really helpful, sometimes. And as for questions, Jonathan didn't seem to have one yet. Maybe later when he starts reading about werewolves and go deeper into it.

Aspen was aware that she was right. She also knew he was afraid, just... perhaps not completely for himself. Why he cared about her safety, assuming that's what it was, baffled Aspen beyond reason. She might have laughed at him little when he went to sit.

MMmm. Instructions. Okay. Aspen couldn't be bothered with the stretching thing, already too busy deciding which fun Dark play creature she'd go test next.

Once they were set free, Aspen swept by Joao on her way to the dementor.

She BOCKED at him. CHICKEN-bocked.

"Bock bock bock bock." Afraaaaaaaaaaaaaid. Or, in other words, come poke the dementor with her? It'd be fun. She'd keep HIM safe.

Alyssa looked at the mechanical creatures and couldn't see the one that she was working on which was the Kelpie. She had hoped that they were among the creatures that the Professor had brought with her.

So she grabbed one of the books that the Professor had provided and turned the pages until she came across the page that had a picture of what a kelpie looked like.

Now that she had found the page, she continued to read and she found some interesting information about the creature, noted it down in her journal. But she wondered how she was going to learn it's mannerisms.

So Alyssa raised her hand to ask the Professor. "Uh Professor, I don't see a Kelpie in any of the examples you brought here." Alyssa looked around just to make sure.

"I have no problem looking through the books, like I'm doing now, but I won't be able to interact with it and see how it behaves. Is that going to be a problem?"

Oh, just so... Aspen-like. Not that he was an expert on her, but he'd long figured she liked challanges. And this was her way of challenging him. Challenging him to follow her to those stupid metal things. He rolled his eyes. At least, she kept her voice down and bocked only to him. He smirked, although he was quite disturbed by this childish challenge.

Nooooo? Aspen ... had expected him to take the bait, but no. Interesting. His non-biting was even more interesting than poking a metal dementor. Plus, she had time, right? This was class, a GREAT CLASS, where she could explore and read and was encouraged to do experiments. Even with weird yoga, DADA was easily one of Aspen's favorite classes.

With experiments in mind, ahem, Aspen got her wand out. And suuuuuubtly cast a Mobiliarbus charm, not on the dementor, but on that snake that Joao preferred. With him all bent down, and Aspen making it MOVE and RISE....

"Bockbockbock"

...Aspen cackled, and kept .... bouncing the snake.

Take note: Snakes will bounce. They weren't really DARK, so... boooooinga.

So in other words, what the professor was technically saying wassss...

Sierra got to work with Kennedy today! *BEAM* Or, at least, that's what it sounded like. After all, they were doing their final project together. Looking around the room, Sierra spotted the dementor, hanging creepily on the opposite side of the room. As far as she was concerned, that dementor could stay on the opposite side of the room, but she couldn't really watch it properly if it did.

"Professor?" she asked, raising her hand. "We can work with our partners, right? If we're working with one for the final project?" She just wanted to make sure, because you never knew with some of these professors. If a student stepped a single toe out of place, some of them went to docking points and issuing detentions left and right.

Seeing as some of the students were already getting started on their tasks, and Medea raised an eyebrow at what seemed to be a bouncing snake, it was probably time to let them all go ahead and start their work. "Alright, if you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask."

Really. Don't hesitate.

Raising her wand, she moved it horizontally in front of her in a sweeping motion across the room. The noises from the creatures became louder and their movements just a bit faster, but still at a speed which could be considered slower than normal. The nundu was walking? Dementor gliding through the air? Did it suddenly become cold when walking near it? Hinkypunk look as if it were producing fog around itself? Check out the grindylow moving across the floor!

Medea stayed where she was on her burgundy mat, taking the spider off of her head and placing it down next to her before putting on the goggles. That was better. Perhaps she could stretch a little more while the students studied their creatures.

Laura sat in her chair, she had no idea what she was doing so she just sat there asleep at her desk she had been asleep since the start of the lesson and she had no idea why she had fallen asleep maybe it was because she hadn't been sleeping well lately and had been feeling ill.

Oichi heard snoring nearby just as the activities with the creepy interactive creature sculptures began. She located the source of the snoring and it was a girl about her age. She nudged her a bit hoping to wake her. Something could be wrong and sleeping it off in class was not good.

Nigel was looking forward to the books he just got on werewolves. He started to open one and it let out a high pitch howl of a werewolf. This was so cool he wondered what else these books would do.

He started looking at the table of contents and found the fancy name for the werewolf disease Lycanthropy. But he still had to find if there was any mention of why werewolves are considered dark and everything else the Professor wants they to put in the essay.

He eventually found the answer to one question after looking through some of the awesome pop up pictures and cool interactive sections. "A werewolf does not transform by choice. With each full moon the person transforms and no longer remembers who he or she is, and would kill even their best friend given the opportunity." Nigel also found it interesting that there was no know cure for Lycanthropy. Only the Homorphus Charm and the Wolfsbane Potion seemed to help the infected deal with it.

"So there is a Kelpie hiding out around here. Thanks Professor. I'm going to keep an eye out of any additional creatures that shouldn't be here at all." Alyssa thanked the Professor before plopping herself back on the purple mat and looking at the mechanical creatures that were moving around. She saw the Nundu, the Grindylow, the Kappa, the Pogebrin, the Basilisk, the Hinkypunk, the Dementor, the Red Cap, the Lethifold, the Quintaped and the House Elf. "Wait the House Elf!!"

Alyssa quickly grabbed hold of it. "There aren't any house elves in the group Professor Romanos brought in. You must be the Kelpie."

Laura was sleeping when she got nudged. "In a bit." Laura grunted before falling back to sleep, she wasn't feeling herself today, she just wanted to rest.

Sophie was still stretching when the other students started asking questions and professor Romanos answered them. She glanced around, looking for a boggart. Wait, but what would a boggart look like when there were so many people there?

Since she couldn't find anything that looked like a boggart - did that make sense? - she concluded she would have to read. Nooooooooooooooooo! Sigh. Oh well, at least the books were already there, so she wouldn't have to go research in the library...

When professor Romanos swept the air with her wand and everything started moving faster and making noises, Sophie raised her eyebrows shivered. Yeah, she was glad she would have to read now. As much as those metal things were quite interesting and weren't real, they looked and sounded scary.

O__O Wait, whatttttt?

So it was pretty cool that Professor Romanos was helping the class get a jump on their final projects and everything but these er-statue thingys...they moved! And they acted like the real deal?! That made the second year a bit uncomfortable...NOT that she was scared or anything...ohhhh no! It's not like Romanos would set them up to be attacked, right? RIGHT? Of course not...She tried to put all the minor worries out of her mind as she started to search for her group mates...and the grindylow.

Was it a regular snake, or something dark? Well, it had to be something dark, João just wasn't sure what is was--

He YELLED something ineligible in Portuguese, no wonder what kind of a word it was, right as he basically threw himself backwards one metre away, falling on his back. It--it was moving and then he heard that bockbockbock. Aspen. Why? Why was she doing this--

He couldn't move! His face--eyes--whole body--he was paralysed! He panicked inside his brain, but it was no use on his body. He'd stared into its eyes right before he was paralysed and--

Aspen! SHE did this!

Deeeeep breath. Deeeeep out-breath. Louisa tried to block all the creepy creatures around her and focused on the HAPPY FOR NO REASON professor. Seriously, shouldn't she be pouty, grumpy and on edge? Like.. she studied and was surrounded by all the creepiness for half her life probably? Maybe more? It really depends on how old she was... Louisa would give her forty five. You couldn't trust people after plastic surgeries getting cheaper more and more and--

WHAT was she thinking?!!!

She closed her eyes and focused on the task at hand again. Books. She needed to dodge all the creatures and go for the books. Instinctively Louisa took hold of her wand as she moved from her mat to where the books sat... frantically eying the one-legged creature that was called Hinkypunk. Very disturbing. She quickened her pace toward the books... only to almost bump into something.

KELPIE! The creepy horsy-like one.

Louisa just dodged, inched and ignored all the sounds and creatures around. She wished they were allowed to use their wands. The mere existance of them were making her uncomfortable. Sheesh.

The Prefect sat down on her knees and started rummaging through the books for anything about Inferius. They were very unlikely to be seen or even imitated since they're hard to make in the first place. That wasn't as creepy as creatures that actually existed among them, right? And and and.. she didn't have to look at pictures of them to identify what they looked like. They were corpses. Kind of.

And when he STILL didn't get up, she moved around to where his head was laying on a purple yoga mat. From her vantage, he was upside down and she leaned over him so her face was right above his and her hair was hanging all around. She promptly, and MATURELY, stuck her tongue out at him.

"You should have crowed like a rooster. Basilisks hate roosters, you know. Tried to tell you. Bockbockbock." Again, she was entirely casual, but Aspen DID give his prone body a look over. He SEEMED ... okay. Except for that whole yelling, paralyzed-with-fear thing. Aspen tried to tuck her hair back behind her ears, while she tried to figure out what to do with Joao. If anything.

Eventually she did offer him a hand up.

Those ten seconds were a life-time for João. He could practically feel his brain getting ten years older in those ten seconds. He felt exhausted like an old man when she appeared right on his face upside-down. She looked more effective from this angle and especially when he was paralysed, he had to admit. She... she was worse than the worst of the snakes. Words failed to define her.

Once she was done talking and he could feel again, he snorted. "That's how you... hint." It wasn't a question, no. He was beyond asking her about her own way of doing things. Good thing he was a fast learner. "I hope you enjoyed my little show directed by you." Sarcasm at its best. Then, sure, he had to get up before letting her sit on his tummy once again.

Funny how they got over that in their last two encounters, although the last one was a story itself.

He eyed her hand for a moment, unsure about whether to take it or not. At least she came to check him though, and pleaded she made that stupid voice to warn him. At least, she followed him in a way. He couldn't figure her expression or what she thought though, and that drove him crazy.

In the end, he accepted the hand and got up with her help, looking at her in a questioning way to ask 'Why?' about many, many things she did in these five minutes.

That was how she hinted. Aspen eyed him, head tilted sideways, and she considered whether or not he was concussed. If he started puking, she'd look at his pupils. "I did." She DID like the show. It was ... perfectly orchestrated.

And it made the class come to a whole new light. NOW they had a mission. Joao got it started, now Aspen wanted to play, too. She read his look, that questioning glance, those inquiring Joao eyes.

SHRUG.

Aspen didn't know. But he was wasting time with questions. "So. The Basilisk will paralyze, that's obvious, but the effects are short lived. Let's go see what Grindylow does when we touch it." Aspen waited to see if he was in.

"Oh, I'm glad." João rolled his eyes. Before he had been manservant of that villager girl Louisa, now he was the clown. Such a reputation and dignity.

He didn't really have a chance, did he? If he refused, he'd be the chicken again. If he accepted... he only hoped nothing would go wrong with the charms and the effects would last only for ten seconds.

"Okay." Just to show he wasn't afraid of the metal things. "Lead the way."

Being momentarily distracted with a Slytherin boy becoming paralyzed from the basilisk for a few short seconds, Medea tore her gaze away as she heard the words 'house elf'. Hmmm...

She didn't have one of those in here. Unless one of the workers here at Hogwarts popped in.

Nope! Just the kelpie, in which decided to turn back to it's original form once it was caught. Medea smiled and looked out to the rest of the class as she moved into the lotus position, taking note of who was examining the sculptures and who were reading the books.
