She listened...intently. Elliot had chosen a basilisk...so basically....SHE GOT TO PLAY WITH A SNAKE ALL CLASS. The serious Ravenclaw tried to hide her glee...HEEHEE.
Excitement swelled up inside of her, and she just COULDN'T HELP IT. She had always wanted a snake...but her mother was not fond of them. granted, this was no normal snake...it was a basilisk. So she would have to careful...but she was still excited. "So...Professor, we're to poke and prod our creatures..and take notes on them? All of class?" she asked quickly, loudly, her eyebrows narrowed a bit suspiciously. She did not want her inner excitement to show on her face...nope. It would ruin her rep, ya' know? She wanted to make sure she had the idea right...
HEEHEE. Medea couldn't quite tell if the Ravenclaw was excited for the quite laid back lesson today, or not. Nevertheless, the professor smiled and nodded her head a few times, causing the spider to cling on even more. "Yup, that is the gist of it."
Fun, yes? She thought so. Quote:

Well... sort of. She had all those books with useful stuff, and even the statues! THAT was called helping, since Nora knew she'd have a lot to research, because she wanted her essay and speech to be perfect. But... there was something on her mind. "Professor?" She asked hesitantly, as she raised her hand. "I wanted my project to be about trolls, but... is it good enough?" She wasn't really sure if they were dark creatures, or whatever they needed to look for, so it was better to ask now, rather than later, when it might be... too late. Another question!
Medea turned her attention over to the Slytherin girl. That was a good question. "I've checked over the sign-up sheet and already spoke to the people who needed to change their topic. If I didn't speak to you, than your topic should be just fine. Just remember to include your own reasoning on why you consider that creature to be dark."
It was important! Quote:

"To be honest, Miss Edwards, I am not quite sure. Once you reveal yourself to a boggart, it immediately changes shape into that of your vorst fear. It is very difficult, if not impossible, to spot it in it's original form. For now, one can only guess vot it looks like. Perhaps a task...you can look into?" Quote:

Now that she had found the page, she continued to read and she found some interesting information about the creature, noted it down in her journal. But she wondered how she was going to learn it's mannerisms.
So Alyssa raised her hand to ask the Professor. " Uh Professor, I don't see a Kelpie in any of the examples you brought here." Alyssa looked around just to make sure.
" I have no problem looking through the books, like I'm doing now, but I won't be able to interact with it and see how it behaves. Is that going to be a problem?" Hmmm?
Looking around, Medea smiled and shook her head. Now where did that Kelpie go? "Don't vorry, Miss Potter. There is one around here somewhere." Tricky thing, it was. "If you vish to look through some of the books up here in the front though, I don't have a problem vith it." Quote:

Looking around the room, Sierra spotted the dementor, hanging creepily on the opposite side of the room. As far as she was concerned, that dementor could stay on the opposite side of the room, but she couldn't really watch it properly if it did. "Professor?" she asked, raising her hand. "We can work with our partners, right? If we're working with one for the final project?" She just wanted to make sure, because you never knew with some of these professors. If a student stepped a single toe out of place, some of them went to docking points and issuing detentions left and right. And another good question. Medea smiled and nodded. "Yes, you can vork vith your partners." She saw no problem with that, unless of course...they start climbing things. Then she'd be a little worried. Seeing as some of the students were already getting started on their tasks, and Medea raised an eyebrow at what seemed to be a bouncing snake, it was probably time to let them all go ahead and start their work. "Alright, if you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask."
Really. Don't hesitate.
Raising her wand, she moved it horizontally in front of her in a sweeping motion across the room. The noises from the creatures became louder and their movements just a bit faster, but still at a speed which could be considered slower than normal. The nundu was walking? Dementor gliding through the air? Did it suddenly become cold when walking near it? Hinkypunk look as if it were producing fog around itself? Check out the grindylow moving across the floor!
Medea stayed where she was on her burgundy mat, taking the spider off of her head and placing it down next to her before putting on the goggles. That was better. Perhaps she could stretch a little more while the students studied their creatures. |
