Minerva walked into class looking around. She was one of the first there today. She headed towards one of the mats, but was suddenly stopped by seeing the Professor with goggles and a spider. "Hello Professor, are we doing something that will use goggles today?" She found a mat and sat down hoping that they would just use the metal spider and no real spiders would be coming out.

DADA lesson. Something Jonathan has been looking forward to.

Jonathan woke up early than expected today, so he knew that going to the classroom, he'd be one of the first people to come. As he entered the room, he saw the purple mats and smiled. He'll be missing the mats in this classroom. Walking inside the room, he saw the professor sitting in front. "Professor Romanos, good day" he greeted with a smile even though it's a bit chilly today. Although, she did have an interesting taste in fashion today with her goggles and a spider on her shoulder. "Where did you get that professor?" the metal spider. It just looks so awesome and kind of creepy as well.

Guess it'll all be part of her lecture today. Jonathan sat in front, where he usually sits.

Defence Against the Dark Arts.

As she made her way to the first floor for the lesson, Nora already knew that they'd still be doing some yoga which, in the end, might do some good. She noticed a slight difference as she stepped inside the classroom though, and the professor had a rather... interesting pair of goggles. AND THERE WAS A SPIDER MOVING ON HER SHOULDER.

"Hello, prof-"

Ever since she opened the door, she noticed the new... statues, or whatever they were, but the dementor actually TURNED AROUND TO LOOK AT HER. "EEEEEK!"

Brrrrrrr.

Why the heck did everyplace have to be so cold?! Blue shivered as she entered the D.A.D.A classroom. Oh great, mats. Yoga again then? Ah well. Atleast that might warm her up. Buuuut. One good thing 'bout the yucky cold weather was that Christmas was coming!!! But she couldn't think 'bout that now. She'd get all excited and wouldn't be able to concentrate. But she wanted a- WAIT! What were the metal fingies? And what was the professor wearing?! "Esscuuuse me Professor, there's a spider on yo' shoulder."

Just in case she didn't know.

See? Blue was helpful like that.

BEAM.

Defense Against the Dark Arts might be the only lesson that Gary had interested in. Well, beside potions maybe. The blonde guy tightened his scarf and walked to the classroom though it was very cold today. Thankfully the class was not placed in Seventh floor. If yes, he felt lazy too to reach it. He realized that there were not many people who had already been in the class. Was he too early? Maybe.

"Good day, Professor Romanos." he greeted politely. He was surprised when he noticed that she wore a pair of googles at her head. Was it a new fashion item? Huh. Then he took a seat at the mat in the corner. Noticing that there were so many metal creatures, Gary wondered if they would learn more about them. They looked creepy. But cool.

Elliot's interest was definitely piqued when she heard that the lesson was in the dueling arena...and now, having entered the threshold, she was even more curious.

All of the metal creatures were a bit creepy, Elliot had to admit. she didn't mind the hissing snake...but the dementor? Ah! And the other catlike creature...Elliot didn't know what that was at all. The blonde quickly found a mat(as farthest away from the dementor as possible) and plopped down.

She wrapped her cloak tighter around her, shivering. It was really cold! "G-good morning, P-professor!" she stuttered through her chattering teeth. Hopefully the room would warm up...eventually.

Ella was excited as always for Defense Against the Dark Arts. She entered the dueling arena with a smile, curious to see what they would be doing today.

What were those sculptures?! Was that a-a dementor? *Shudder* And it was looking at her. LOOKING AT HER! Yikes. Ella wasn't sure she liked that. She turned to look at the other sculptures, the others not quite as scary as the first one she had seen. And then there was the Professor...what were those goggles she was wearing? And why was there a spider crawling around on her? Ella didn't like spiders. Not even metal ones.

"Hey Professor, cool googles." Ella greeted on her way to find an empty purple mat. This lesson was going to be very interesting. That was for sure.

"Good day, Professor Romanos!" Isidora greeted the defense professor rather cheerfully as she entered the classroom, but it ended up being rather brief as she spotted all the metal creatures STARING AT HER. The first year slowed her pace noticably to her seat, and gave them all curious glances.

She wanted to ASK what each of them were for, but knowing that that reason would come to light soon, she just took a seat and prepared for the lesson while staring dowwwwwwwwwn the spider on the woman's shoulder.

Zhenya walked to the DADA classroom with her head full of thoughts. She wandered in and said "Hello Professor," before sitting down on one of the mats. She had to resist the urge to lay down and sleep. After a few minutes, and feeling that something was watching her, she turned her eyes and saw a snake near her. It hissed as she turned her head and she just raised her eyebrow at it. It was only metal... surely it wouldn't... it couldn't, no? It wouldn't bite her.

Chelle entered the DADA class feeling excited. She was always curious about such practical lessons. But as she looked around the classroom, she was slightly creeped out. There were seriously weird sculptures all around them, and Professor seemed to have had a wardrobe malfunction. She was wearing funny goggles.

"Hi, Professor! Hiding your eyes?" Chelle said, not quite sure if that was polite. Then she took a seat and waited for the lesson to begin.

Aspen checked the board, the Professor, the board again - there wasn't any instructions/rules that said she couldn't explore and study these metal ....creatures. Plus, this was one of the few Professors that didn't seem to dislike Aspen.. so... probably safe to examine the area. She could always claim to be familiarizing with her environment if it was a problem...

She subtly nudged her wand from its holster and approached the nundu first.

And poked it with her wand tip.

Poke.

Hmmm.

Ohhhh growls! Hmmm.

Aspen poked it again, then took a step back.

Nigel entered the classroom and loved all the purple mats. Purple was his favorite color after all. He especially loved the awesome looking goggles the professor was wearing.

"Hello, Professor Romanos, I love your awesome goggles". After that he tried to ignore looking at the creatures in the room and find a nice soft purple mat to sit on.

Alright DADA class. Vickers, who has never been fond of all the yoga, or the lack of chairs for that matter, actually came prepared for the class this time. He's done some warm up stretches and pathetic push ups in the dorms before coming down here, so if they were going to make like a human flamingo he was ready.

But as he turned towards the classroom he wasnt quite prepared for the sight that greeted him.

He froze on the spot as he felt for his wand, eyes trained directly at the Dark Creatures. But in the next second he began to relax, realizing that they are a but convincing mechanized effigies of the actual things. When he looked at the Professor and the goggles on her head he started to smile. "Good Morning Professor Romanos." he greeted her as his eyes fell on the spider on her shoulder. Another mechanized variation of the real thing. As he turned to look at the rest of his surroundings he murmured "Very nice, very Steampunk." He wasnt sure if the Professor knew what that was, but of what he's read and seen of it outside of Hogwarts, he quite loved it.

So settling down on the mat with the breakfast tray wasnt quite an unpleasant thing for the Ravenclaw anymore, quite a change from how he'd usually start this class.

"Good Morning Professor" Sarah said. So this prof must be real yoga fanatic - it wasnt just a first lesson thing. What where the metal things for and why was the prof wearing goggles? Al will be found out in due time - hopefully. Sarah sat down on a purple mat. She fingered with the foam in it -she loved the feeling of a foam mat.

Silvia entered the classroom and paused just inside to look around. Woah, what were those things? They looked like dangerous creatures, but they appeared to be made of metal. And yet they still growled and hissed. Were they learning about the creatures today, or were they using them for dueling practice?

Silvia walked over to a mat, with a "Hello Professor," as she passed close by, and sat down. This looked like it would be an interesting lesson.

Belle walked into the classroom and was looking around. When she first entered the room, she noticed the professor's goggles and spider. "Hello Professor! I am loving your goggles and your spider." she said with a nice smile. She went to find a nice purple mat to sit on.

Alyssa walked into the classroom and for a split second thought that they had been invaded by dementors before she realized that they weren't real. Alyssa heaved a sigh of relief and then noticed Professor Romanos sitting on the lower portion of the stands wearing a pair of goggles. Alyssa smiled. The Professor was definitely unique in her teaching methods. She noticed a metallic spider crawling around and gave it a wide berth before greeting the Professor.

"Hello Professor. Cute spider" Alyssa said before heading over to where Minerva was seated and sat down next to her on an empty purple mat.

João had missed the previous DADA class due to his illness, but he wasn't going to miss this one. He nearly skipped to the class, if he did such childish things. He walked as fast as he could, though, because he wanted to get the best seat. He needed this class' credit more than any other, and he had to be as attentive as he could.

Entering the classroom with a big smile, because he was happy and excited and free of all kinds of problems regarding a few girls, he greeted the professor with a bow--he wasn't even uneasy at the things and her accessories--and turned around to examine the rest of the room when he saw her doing that.

N--No. She just couldn't mess this day up!

Approaching her nevertheless, he kept his distance from the metal nundu and managed to even SMILE at the girl he should be avoiding.

"Hi... what are you doing?" With her wand and all, poking that... thing? She was keen on poking stuff with her wand, wasn't she?

Sophie was ready to do some more weird Yoga stuff when she entered the room. There they were! The purple mats! "Hello, professor Romanos!" She started skipping her way towards one when she noticed those weird metal things around.

That was... CREEPY! Her eyes widened and she stopped skipping and walked slowly to her spot, eyeing those things. They would look cool if they didn't move! The dementor and the snake ones were really scray, though that other one looked quite cute, in Sophie's opinion.

But that was a Defense Agaisnt the Dark Arts, so that creature might not be that cute...

When she reached one of the mats, she sat down quietly, still glancing around.

Being the observant type, Aspen Odessa hadn't missed one Joao entering the Arena. She also hadn't missed his formal bow or smile. The bowing was interesting..

She tilted her head at the Slytherin, gave him an expressionless LOOKING, and went back to testing this nundu out. She wanted to pull his tail and see what would happen.

"Studying," Aspen answered casually, but when she looked away she was grinning. "Pull his tail." Her tone was dare ya, Joao. DARE YA.

NO emotion there at all. No affection for him whatsoever. Why wasn't he avoiding her, again?

Right. Because he didn't want to see her getting into trouble with her wand. Even though she wouldn't care if it was vice-versa. He really had to see his mother and get more lessons on how to ignore people.

He raised his eyebrows. "Do you study poking your want into everything?" Because, she'd poked HIM for two times... she was poking this thing that was nearly alive... he couldn't help but wonder how many more things she poked.

"I'm not pulling anything's tail." He involuntarily took one more step away from it. "And you shouldn't, either."

"Everything is too inclusive," Aspen answered automatically. "But this is class. I think we're meant to familiarize with our surroundings." She cast another glance at Joao, who had taken a step back.

"Afraid again, are you?" Griiiiiiiiin.

She was going to pull the tail now for SURE, simply because Joao had said she shouldn't. Why did he have this EFFECT on her? She WANTED to rebel against EVERYTHING he said.

As a test, Aspen sloooooowwwwwly reached her hand towards the growly nundu's tail.

Familiarise! Right.

"You can do that by simply looking, too," he said, talking a bit quickly to talk her out of poking it... or touching it in any way. She shouldn't even stare, in his opinion, in fact. Some things you just had to let be.

He had this very strong feeling however, that she would just keep playing with it. To bloody learn. And there, she was already proving him right. He wished she would do as he asked, only one time. One single time.

He didn't even think his next act. He just found himself holding her hand tightly away from it and next to himself, his eyes looking sternly at her.

Aspen had anticipated him shouting at her, getting mad, something along those lines. She hadn't expected him to take her hand though, particularly not with so much ... feeling.

To her credit, and with Ravenclaw in mind, Aspen didn't hex him or point her new wand at the 7th year. No, she simply eyed him, letting him have his way and her hand for now.

Fine. She'd hold his hand AND pull the nundu tail with their JOINED hands. Aspen Odessa fought against the much stronger Slytherin and tried her best to get their hands to the tail. Sometimes LOOKING just wasn't enough.
