The official home of the Lions, the Gryffindor common room, is found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The entrance to the common room is the portrait of the delightful Fat Lady, and in order to gain entrance to their home away from home, Lions must know the password and speak it to her.

This terms password is ‘Angel’s Trumpet’.

Be sure to remember those words...and keep it a close secret, for it's the current password you'll need to speak in order for the Fat Lady to swing away from the hole and allow you to enter Gryffindor Tower. Once you're lucky enough to scramble through, you'll find that the common room is a circular area full of squashy armchairs and tables. To the side of the common room you will find the study tables and bookshelves equipped with all that you could need in order to complete your homework assignments, as well as the noticeboard for classes and other school announcements.

A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace takes up one side of the wall. It's the perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day of classes. You are likely to find the latest edition of the Gryffindor Gazette on the central tables just waiting to be read. It’s always good to stay informed with your house and school news.

If however you are in need of a nap a good night's rest then there are two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. Boys dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls dormitories are upstairs and to the left. Be sure you don’t go breaking any of the rules by attempting to go up the wrong staircases. Boys don’t stand a chance of beating the enchanted staircase, and frankly girls should know better.

For whatever reason you're here, make sure you take good care of your home away from home. There's bound to be a perfect or your Head of House lurking in the shadows.

Gideon tried not to be discouraged by Selina's actions, playing with her fingers and staring at them as if unable to look at him as he himself spoke. But he waited, doing his best to be patient and understanding figuring that was what she needed right now, not her boyfriend being all emotional over what had happened. It had been a mixed blessing that at least he in fact already knew of her ability else he might have freaked out more. As it was seeing Selina in full vision and unable to pull her out of it even with Kurumi's help had been more then a little unnerving.

He smiled as she seemed to relax with his answer even a little bit. And when she leaned into him, Gideon wrapped his arms around her hugging Selina back. Whatever had happened, it didn't matter and he was glad to be close to her once more. It seemed to magically erase the distance that had been between them since the game. He gingerly rubbed her back as he held her close to him.

There was a part of her that knew she was not the easiest person to deal with. On most days she was upbeat, crazy, opinionated and fiery; yet, there was a part of her that was scared and afraid to get too close to people. And what was the worst was that Gideon always seemed to bare the brunt of her inability to open up to people. When things became too tense she would flee and usually from him. But she would not run this time, to prove that he meant something to her.

She turned head so it rested on his chest. Soft enough so only he could hear she said, "I'm sorry. Not about Saturday.... About everything. I, well, I care. I just show it weird."

Had he said something wrong? He was only looking on the bright side of things which Lilly needed to to. And her feeling sick? He seriously doubted that. But then again her face did seem nastly white... "Should I take you to the school hospital?" She would probably say no but it was worth a shot.

"N-No, it's really not bad enough to go to the hospital wing. I'll just have an early night," she said. Thomas clearly didn't realise what he'd said wrong. He didn't see when things were made too "Bright". And like Lilly wanted to be accompinied to the hospital wing by Thomas Fowell. Instead, the Lioness turned away and pretended to be remotely intrested in an empty, nearby armchair.

"I know Selina," he replied offering assurances that he understood. Gideon briefly leaned down and kissed the top of her head and her auburn locks ever so lightly before straighten so he was simply leaning over her. "I know..." he repeated in a whisper.

For a moment Selina forgot that she was even in the Common Room with a ton of her pride lining the walls. It was just the two of them in the Common Room with no one else bothering them. It had been hard this term to get real alone time together. She could count on one hand how many times they were together alone. She was certain that people who dated should have spent more time alone together than just a handful of times. Then again she and Gideon were not the average couple. In many ways they were like best friends, but on the other hand Selina felt that she could maybe, well, that was unimportant right now.

Her fingers clenched onto the back of his robe as she hugged him. Then she heard him whisper back to her and she smiled. When he kissed the top of her head she closed her eyes and leaned her head against his chest.

After a few moments of holding onto him and resting her head on his chest, she pulled away from him enough so she could look up at him, but she kept her arms wrapped around him, "You must think me very foolish, sir," she retorted trying to make the mood lighter.

Gideon did feel the clenching at his back, the tugging shortening the amount of fabric that was free and available around him. But before it was an issue thast he might have had to bring up to Selina, she had loosened her hold on him. Even without seeing her face he could tell that she had calmed down herself down and had perhaps come to an understanding with herself. That was always good, not to have an upset and self-doubting fiery redhead to deal with.

Though if it meant he had time to spend with her it was worth it, at least this term.

He released his hold on her a little as Selina pulled away slightly, her head no longer resting against his chest. The boy admittedly missing the closeness at least to himself but at least the hold was still there. Brushing it aside, he focused his eyes on his girlfriend, meeting her gaze as they looked to each other."Aye maybe...but I like foolishness," he answered offering a soft chuckle to continue the mood.

After another long day, Logan walked into the Gryffindor common room, and sunk into a comfy chair by the fire. He took out his Captain America comic and flipped it open and began reading. He chuckled to himself as his kitten hopped up onto the chair and snuggled up in his lap.

Once Logan finally finished the comic, he closed it shut, put it away in his bag and just sat there, staring at the fire. He sighed and began stroking Peeta's back, thinking about the events of the day. He kept glancing around off and on for any familiar Lions.

A stray strand of red hair fell in Selina's face as she looked up at Gideon. Trying not to break his eyes she shook her head, which pushed the non-cooperative strand out of her face. Blue met green like it always did every time they talked. It was a comfort, he was always there for her when she needed him. All of her life she could count on one hand all of the people who were like that for her. She could not count even count her parents because after Danielle died their family sort of broke apart and everyone went their separate ways to heal in the way they needed to. Kurumi was one of the people she could always count on to be there, no matter what.

And then there was Gideon, who since the moment she had met him had been there for her. He had been protecting her and keeping her sane in ways she had not even recognized before this moment. Sure, she was strong and witty and always thought on her feet, but even she needed someone sometimes to keep her head screwed on straight. And for the past two years that person had been him; he sort of just snuck up on her.

With a smile she retorted, "Do you? Well then I'll be sure to keep it up."

Now that they had straightened things out there was no need for them to remain standing in the middle of the common room. No doubt raising the attention of anyone wo cared to pay attention to them and their goings-on. So instead, he led them both back over to the couch he had vacated to meet up with her, taking the first seat near the one arm of the sofa and then gingerly pulling Selina down with him.

She said sticking her tongue out at him.

It seemed that with his final statement they were relocating. Perhaps it was for the best because they were having an intimate moment... standing... in the middle of the Common Room. They did not attract a crowd but she did see a few eyes looking over at the fourth and fifth year curiously. Maybe he had the right idea of moving them to the couch.

She was about to take a seat when he pulled her down on the couch with him. With a humph she looked up at him and said, "Hey, cheater!"

He wrinkled his nose as she reached up and ruffled his hair but he didn't pull away. On the contrary he was letting her do it, maybe even leaned down a little so she didn't have to stretch as much. Though not about to tell her that he didn't mind the action. "Aye...I know ye do," the boy chuckling at her stuck out tongue.When Selina willingly followed him from their spot on he floor to the couch at his guiddance, Gideon fought a smirk. Though it crept onto his face when he decided to be playful and act on it.

Grayson headed into the common room, somewhere he didn't frequent. There he saw students sitting around doing various things. He saw a girl sitting by herself and idly tinkering with her wand. He headed over and said," Hey, do you mind if I sit here. I'm Grayson by the way."

In her eyes he was a cheater for pulling that kind of move on her, not that she minded; although, when he pretended that he was hurt by her cheater comment she twisted her head around so she could look at him. Her hand swatted at his chest and she chuckled, "Yes you. You, sir, are a cheater." And he did not play fair, "Sir, might I also rebuke your last claim. You aren't playing fair because you are holding the lady to ensure that she spends time with you." She cracked a smile his way and added on a nicer note, "Not that I wouldn't want to spend time with you anyway; all you have to do is ask."

It did seem to Selina that, with their current position, Gideon did have the upper hand. She knew that regaining some ground would take something extreme. There was only she could possibly do that would assert some authority, not that she had much. So she did what she could and ruffled his hair just enough to untame it. Then she stuck her tongue out in his face. Childish? Yes. Regrets? None.

It did seem to Selina that, with their current position, Gideon did have the upper hand. She knew that regaining some ground would take something extreme. There was only she could possibly do that would assert some authority, not that she had much. So she did what she could and ruffled his hair just enough to untame it. Then she stuck her tongue out in his face. Childish? Yes. Regrets? None.

Maybe he was pushing it, maybe pulling her down upon his lap was too much and maybe the huff that escaped Selina's mouth and nose was a sign that he was gonna pay for his actions. However Gideon wasn't too caring about it, to carried away with being on the sassy playful side of things. And when she joined in and swatted his chest, he couldn't help but echo her laugh as he listened to whatever else she was saying to him. "Oh really...is that how it works?" he asked seeming as if he was making note of that todbit of information. Sure he already knew it was most likely the case but she did have her responsibilities that he couldn't ASK her to put aside for him. So he 'stole' her and her time for himself.

"Hey...be nice to me and my hair. Else I might have to start the tickling," he mused with raised eyebrow. It was a threat he debated carrying out though he might need to be mindful of any consequences that might errupt.

Like Selina slipping away.

"Or maybe just bite off that tongue of yers missy."

A break. Jezzabelle flopped down on the nearest couch and sighed. She need a break from all this school stuff. She had been so busy she had barely seen any of her friends. She felt like she didn't have that many friends because of all the school work. Sighing in frustration she looked into the fire. Not much longer either and her first year will be over pretty soon. Where was everyone?
