Kurumi was feeling a little frantic since she had lost track of Walnut earlier that morning. She figured it had something to do with all the first years in the common room - it was stressing his little stubby legs and kitty ego not having full range of his domain. She had had to lock him up in the dorms before he could relieve himself on a first year's shoe. Hair tied back in a side pony tail, Kurumi entered the greenhouses and stumbled a bit when she saw that the layout had changed. "Good day...Professor Bentley," Kurumi said with a slight bow before turning her gaze to the toadstools opposite the stools for them to sit in. Good thing she had her dragnhide gloves with her today, right? "Planning on giving those first years their first taste of Herbology?" she asked, nodding her head towards the toadstools that she hoped she had imagined something gleaming from around where their mouths were probably situated. |
Isabelle walked into herbology with a cheerful smile on her face. "Good day professor," she said smiling brightly while sitting down and pulling out her supplies she would need. "How are you doing today?" Isabelle asked. She pulled her long blonde hair up in a ponytail to keep it out of her face when she worked. It was another one of her favorite classes and she definately needed to know magical plants to be a healer like she aspired to be. |
Still not use to the castle's set up, Brooklyn followed a bunch of other students who she happened to overhear. Apparently they were on their way to herbology as well. So, she Upon arriving, Brookie stood in the doorway, peering into the class room before setting a heel in there. If there was no professor, she thought it best to stay outside and wait. But luckily for her, the professor was indeed there, sitting inside the classroom. So, this time without hesitation, she proceeded through the doorway. "Hello Professor," she smiled over at the woman before continuing toward the seats in the middle of the room. Her favorite spot in any classroom. |
Ah Herbology, a class to get one's hands dirty..literally. Well usually glove-covered hands but the image still stood pretty well. Stepping from the castle and walking to the greenhouses, it was still a decent fall day so one didn't need to bundle up. "Good day Professor Bentley," Gideon greeted with a polite smile, the professor standing by the door on the other side of the doorway when one entered. Heading further into the room, his bag holding his books and supplies over his shoulder, he took in the layout of the room as well as the greenhouse's other occupant. "Hey Kurumi," he greeted moving over to a stool nearby and taking a seat to await the start of class and their instructions. |
Raven walked to the Greenhouse. It was a nice day, today the students would get the first herbology lesson "Good day, Professor Bentley :)" said her with big smile :D |
She's super excited lol sorry FINALLY! A class she was looking forward to and a class she was good at. And with a professor that wasn't going to yell at her. She had been up for 3 hours before her Herbology lesson and it was the first one of the day. Harlow was wearing an all white jumpsuit under her Slytherin robes and she practically ran out of the castle and down to the greenhouses. She pushed open the doors and her heart lifted as she sucked in the earthy warm smell of the greenhouses. It made everything right with the world. "Hullo Professor Bentley." she through her arms around Professor Bentley's legs and gave her a fierce hug. She let go quickly however and moved over to find a good seat near the front. Harlow could barely contain herself! |
Aurora almost skipped into the Greenhouse, she was so excited for this lesson! She loved Herbology almost as much as potions! She greeted the professor at the door. "Good day Professor Bentley, hows the Manducare doing?" she asked, grinning. Then she caught sight of the toadstools. "Oh, brilliant!" she said, her eyes lighting up. She wanted nothing more than to get near to them but figured she should probably wait... they might look harmless but she knew that that didn't mean anything, especially when it came to magical plants. |
What once had been Eino's favorite class was now, to put it simply, a nightmare. He spent so much time trying to look nice and smell good, but two minutes alone in a Greenhouse would get him covered in dirt and smelling like dragon dung. Not exactly an attractive look! No matter, he still enjoyed the class, but he could do with less dirt and dung. Plus, Professor Bentley was his favorite professor and he would never want to disappoint her, so he would do his best, get as dirty and stinky as it took, and then run as fast as he could to the Ravenclaw common room to get cleaned up. "Good morrow, Professor." He greeted her with a smile and gave her a quick hug before anyone else could see him. That would be embarrassing. He then walked inside the classroom, took his usual seat, front and center, and set up his working station. |
Vashti had been taking her time in coming dwon to the Greenhouses for the first Herbology lesson, hoping to make it just a few minutes before the class actually started and therefore shortening her time spent there than if she came really early like she preferred to do with her other classes. And yet, despite her slowness, she was one of the first students to arrive. Crud. She still managed a smile for the professor though. Professor Bentley was nice, at least, even if the actual subject wasn't. "Hey, Professor," she said as she entered...and then eyed the toadstools that she noticed by the blackboard. What kind of toadstools were those? Should she be worried about handling them? Slooowly she took a seat but continued eyeing the mushroom things suspiciously every now and then. |
Amethyst smiled softly as she walked into the Greenhouse slowly. Sarah had told her that she felt Ame would be great a Herbology. Ame, on the other hand, begged to differ, but felt it was needed to at least give it a shot. She was excited, to be frank, and her face lit up, seeing the plants, though she didn't dare get close to them. |
The autumn sun glinted slightly off the natural lights in Ivory’s hair, the wind catching it, fluttering wisps like feathers against her face. Her cheeks glowing with good health, the Ravenclaw prefect made her way down to the greenhouses. Like the intellectual she was, it could easily be said that she loved every subject taught at Hogwarts but truth be told herbology certainly had a special place in her heart. Which was most likely why the smile on her face was genuine as opposed to a polite mannerism. The dimple in her right cheek peeking into view as the prefect approached Greenhouse One, Ivory gave a small wave. Hey Professor Bentley." Inclining her head respectfully, she looked the room over, recognizing what seemed to be the topic of today's lesson. Turning to grin at the Professor, she piped up, eyes twinkling. "You know, there's not mush-room, but I don't think anyone will mind since they're all such fungi's." Giggling as she found a seat near the fungi's in particular, she shook her head chuckling. Puns. Really, she couldn't resist. |
Ellie was actually excited for Herbology for once. She walked into the greenhouse sporting a cheerful smile. "Bentley!!" No big. She was only one of the Ravenclaw's favorite Professors this year. Ever, really, but especially this year, when so many good people left. It was VERY nice to see a GOOD, familiar face. She suppressed her slight urge to hug the woman, and made her way to the stools. Upon noticing the toadstools, she wrinkled her nose. Despite being happy, which was purely for getting a lesson with a loved Professor, Ellie still hated the subject. Plants were so gross. Gross. But she didn't let that wipe away the smile. |
Nate trudged into the greenhouses, hoping to get as little dirt on his shoes as possible. Ugh, herbology. he thought bitterly as he made his way towards the back. Nate liked to learn, but wasn't the outdoorsy type, so he tended to avoid plants back at his muggle home. He had no idea what to expect from magical plant life. Being mildly interested, he had decided not to simply skip the class. So, as he stood and waited for class to begin, he looked around silently for Pam and Jayden to come in. |
After waiting in the terrace for what seemed like days, Maddy saw a few students enter into the greenhouses. Time for class! She packed up her bag and walked into the Greenhouse with her fellow students. They were greeting the Professer as they walked in, Maddy heard someone say the name Professer Bently. That must be her name. "Hi Professer Bently, my name is Maddy" she introduced "nice to meet you". Maddy plunked down into the first seat she saw and took out her books. Maybe Eris or Sarah would come sit with her. |
Sarah walked into the greenhouse, slightly happier than she was last period. She was slowly getting used to the skirt. Very slowly. Part of her good mood was because she figured she would like this class. Plants were never her thing, but she did love nature. She found an empty place and walked over to it, setting her green and black messenger bag on the ground. Mmm, it may have been weird, but she loved the smell of plants and dirt. :lol: |
" Hello"William to;d the professor. " Herbalogy was my favorite class this year" Willaim said to the prodessor. " I hope it is my favorite class this yrtm. too" William explainede to the professor. |
Minerva walked into class. She looked around for Erin and of course Harvey. She really wanted to make sure she sat next to them in class. |
Selina made her way through the grounds to the Greenhouse. She had to make sure that she was on time, not that she wasn't last year, but she always ended up running in right before class started. Not this year, nope. Selina was a mature third year who could handle getting to class on time- yeah, that was it. Then she walked into the Greenhouse and looked at Professor Bentley, "Morning ma'am," she remarked proudly as she entered the room. She had made it, "enjoy your summer?" As she ended her conversation with her Professor and walked to her usual place in the Greenhouse. |
Olivia made her way into the Greenhouse where her first Herbology lesson would be taking place, careful to make sure that she was early so that she wouldn't lose points for her house. She hoped she'd like the lesson and that she'd be somewhat good at it. She'd always enjoyed helping her mother in the garden at home and she thought that Herbology would be similar, at least in some ways. This was the first place where she'd felt reasonably at home and Olivia hoped that it would translate into her work. It was difficult having to adjust to a completely different curriculum. She eyed the toadstools but was careful not to get too close. She had no idea whether they were normal, or whether they were a dangerous magical version. |
Herbology. This was not good at all, at least not for Nikolas who disliked this subject, after Arithmancy of course. He wasn't in a good mood to see boring plants, so he walked reluctantly to the greenhouses. He didn't wanna show a bad attitude so, he changed a bit his expression before he could entered into the classroom. He stepped in and there were already students, he looked at the professor and said " Morning Professor" he smiled a bit. He walked over to a vacant chair, with his bag on his back and sat down while he waited for the class to start. He let his bag fall beside him and looked at the toadstools. Toadstools? He thought they were going to see a more interesting plant. |
Beatrice was excited. Herbology. Not her favorite subject but not one that she despise either. A flood of students were on their way now to the Greenhouse One, and she just let herself go with the crowd. Upon arriving at the entrance, she slowly took a peak inside and saw that a few were already there. She smiled confidently and walked towards their Professor, "Good day Professor !" she greeted. Looking around, she could see the variety of different herbs and plants. And then her eyes settled on the toadstools. Really now ? First day of Class with Toadstools ? She smiled widely, she was now feeling very excited with this lesson. |
Ok, Maddy was geting antsy. Her friend walked right into the classroom after her and diddn't even sit with her! Maybe some nice other Slytherin would like to join her. Or Hufflepuff, or anyone for that matter. Anyways, she started reading ahead , she turned to a page on toadstools. Ah, magical todstools of the English forests, this looked like the right page. |
Violet trotted into class the first one that she felt a little confident in. Even if not all of them were exactly the same it was still about plants something she truly adored and plants for the most part like numbers were universal she felt confident she would quickly learn which plants where dangerous and beneficial and how to treat them just as she had with the plants from her muggle home |
Presley skipped into herbology in her shorts and tee-shirt. A heavy bag slung over her shoulder. "Hello, professor!" She said cheerily. Wisely taking a place near Bentley's teaching spot. "How is my plant doing? Find anything interesting?" She pulled her dragon-hide gloves from her bag, and set them next to her workstation, ready for use. |

She sat down on a stool looking at the interesting toadstool in front of her, very interesting.. then she realized she had sat down right next to her friend. Not very observant Desiree. Salander made his way out towards the Greenhouses, welcoming the fresh air for what would be their first outdoor classes. Somewhat. Well it wasnt a tyrpical classroom and the Slytherin lad was looking forward to a change of scenery "Hello Professor Bentley" he greeted her then did a double take at the featured specimen of the day. With a smirk he started whistling an old video game tune as he made his way towards the seats. |

"Hallo, Professor Bentley," Tori greeted the Herbology mistress as she entered the greenhouse. "How's Cricket doing?" While waiting for a response, she took her time looking around the greenhouse and noticed all the toadstools on the opposite side of the classroom. OOH. Fun.........gi. Hah. |
Marilyn was sneaking into class...Why she was sneaking, no one knew. It wasn't like class had started or anything. The blonde just felt like being sneaky... Not to mention, she had to run to her dorm and change shoes. Heels weren't ideal for mushy dirt. Taking a seat, Marilyn glanced around to see everyone who'd already arrived. O.o Ducking her head, she didn't want any Slytherins to see her. She was still SO EMBARRASSED to have lost points... |
Ew. Dirt? Disgusting. Plants? Eh. Being in a VERY HOT greenhouse...well, Elliot wasn't a happy camper right now. She inched her way into the greenhouse, looking around with furrowed eyebrows and trying her hardest not to touch anything. She looked very funny, trying to avoid contact with all those...herbishy things. She carefully and slowly put her bag down, not daring to make ANY SUDDEN MOVEMENT. Gah! Elliot could tell she have a hard time at this... |
Jayden entered the Greenhouse. "Good morning Professor Bentley" Jayden said politely. She took a spot near the middle and waited for class to begin. |
Placing her hair up into a ponytail since she learned long ago to not have it down during a Herbology lesson, Evelyn made her way over to the greenhouse one, counting the stones on the ground as she passed by them. Just one more year of this class, and it was all over. That was a rather strange thought. Entering the greenhouse, she took a double glance to the Professor before eying the board. "Good day, Professor Bentley." she greeted quietly with a small smile before going to sit down. Where did she sit down? Right next to Marilyn. Stare. |
Cael grinned upon seeing Elliot and Jayden already in the Greenhouse when he arrived. Nodding politely he greeted, "Good day, Professor," before making his way over to the others and setting up for the lesson. The Greenhouse was sweltering, but honestly what could he expect? Wiping a hand discreetly across his brow, he waited attentively for the lesson to begin. |

Illiana was nervous about Herbology, she never really had a green thumb. Hopefully things would go better compared to Charms. She felt so bad that she day dreamed most of class that things just didn't stick. She would definitely nees to pay more attention in Herbology to succeed and she wanted to make up for Charms too. Illiana found a seat and took out her textbook, she wanted to review over the first chapter before class started. |

To Caroline's on surprise she was walking down to the greenhouses for the first lesson herbology. Yes, Caroline Scott was going back to the greenhouses, and telling those toadstools a thing or two. This had gotten out of hand, Slytherin was 35 points in the whole last time she checked. Which was on her way out of the castle. She headed into the greenhouse where class was being held. She smiled at the Professor. "Hello Professor Bentley, How are you? Oh my toadstools!" She eyed the toadstools. Yes, revenge was hers. against those stupid finger bitting, things. She walked on to the back of the room. Of course and especialy since she was in herbology she would sat near the back. You know so if the toadstools started to attack she would have a head start running away. |

Ashley found that he wasn't quite as excited about Herbology as he had been about his other classes so far, but he couldn't just not go. Not everything was going to be fun, after all. And besides, he didn't even know if it wouldn't be fun. All he had were expectations, and those were easy to shatter at times. He found the place he needed to go by yet again accidentally stalking some others who were going that way, surprised to see the professor standing right there. "Hello, Professor," he said, to be polite, and then went on to find a seat, setting his stuff down as he looked around to actually take in the setting. Well, it did look interesting. Maybe he would enjoy it after all. |
Carter headed to class. At least. He assumed that's why he was at the greenhouses. It was convenient to just follow Kurumi around. He'd taken to just packing all of his school things in the morning. It was crazy how much time he'd been able to save by just following the Prefect around instead of actually checking his schedule. For instance, he'd been able to perfect a quidditch move in his head today with his saved time. "Hello Professor." he said walking in. Yep. He was here for class. He spotted Caroline in the class and went to join her. She was looking at the toadstools. "Think they're poisonous?" he asked her. Because if not, he wondered what it would take to convince Destiny to eat one. |
FINALLY! Orchid thought and almost squealed with excitement. Herbology was her second favorite subject coming only after Care of Magical Creatures and Charms, of course, came in a close third; "Good morning Professor!" She said smiling widely. "I just wanted to intoduce myself before class started, my name is Orchid Simmons and I'm kinda new here, I finally convinced my mom to stop homeschooling me and send ne to Hogwarts, so I guess that means that I'm Hogwarts, and Slytherins, latest fifth year newbie." She said smiling still. |
Adam made his way down to the Greenhouses where the plants were the class was held inside a glass greenhouse.He was quite nervous,this would be his first time to the class,an he didn't know what to expect,so it was both exciting but nerve wracking.His past terms,he rarely went to class,an he couldn't remember ever attending this one.As he stepped through the door he saw the Professor an said,in a shaky voice,"H-H-Hello Professor Bentley.Hoping to enjoy class today,I am.",He added with a nod. |

"Hello Gideon," she smiled as she watched him sit down near her. "I hope you've brought your dragonhide gloves..." she pointed towards the toadstools. Kurumi's eyes narrowed for a moment, but not long enough for him to take notice, before turning her head back to the front. The thought didn't even cross her mind that this was a change of pace in seeing him actually walk into a classroom, but such positive thoughts were far from her mind right now. Adam Burn was one of the biggest jerks she knew, and she was rather hoping that Salander would show up soon. Maybe they would end up flinging manure at each other or something. |
Herbology. This is it. The subject that feared him the most. Jonathan walked his way through the greenhouses for the first herbology lesson of the term. He's just hoping they're not doing extreme stuffs today. Hehe. He saw the professor "Hello Professor" he smiled and looked for a comfortable seat. Yes, he does need one. He found himself sitting on the side. His thoughts just running about what might happen today. Looking from afar he saw.... toadstools? Jonathan eyed them and now, he's definitely not ready for Herbology. GULP! |
With her hair braided back into a ponytail (because she had this feeling that it might get dirty during the class, or, why not, eaten by some crazy plant) and that usual "Hello, professor," she smiled, and then her eyes ran directly to the... ... toadstools. Curious, huh? Not anymore. |

Destiny skipped her way down to the Greenhouse for the first Herbology lesson of the term, a HUGE smile on her face. She had been wearing that smile ever since leaving the Common Room.. and now her face felt like it was going to fall off. It was a requirement to wear one, she had seen it on the noticeboard! And if she didn't put it on before she left, she would have forgotten it and she did not want to be kicked out of class and forced to walk all the way back to the Castle. She really did hate walking. Entering the Greenhouse, she first noticed the toadstools off to the side before her eyes fell on Professor Bentley. Did she see!? Did the woman see her SMILE!? "Hello, Professor!!" she greeted, and moving further into the room, she took a seat.. right behind Carter and Caroline. Toadstools. |
Herbology. Freya was not really looking forward to this class because when she heard Herbology it means that she will get dirty sooner or later. She sighed and made her way towards the greenhouse. The first thing she noticed when she entered the greenhouse were the toadstools. Eeeeppp..!! Toadstools?! Then her eyes slowly move towards the Professor. "Hello Professor Bentley." |
Hugo stepped in the Herbology classroom. His hair was as perfect as it could be, because once he got his hands deep in dragon dung, he couldn't exactly fix it. "Good day, professor Bentley," he said with a smile and continued the path into the greenhouse. He noticed that a certain someone was there. He looked from Kurumi to Adam, who were standing a bit away from each other and Kurumi looked like she was trying to keep her attention away from him. Quote:

Geraldine made her way to the greenhouse. She was already nervous in attending this class, cause ever since she was a kid she never had grown a successful plant....they all died. But Geraldine still hoped that maybe in this class she would learn how to grow living things and not just keep on killing them. when Geraldine entered she saw Professor Bentley, turned to her and smiled, "Good day, Professor" |
Lana walked down to Greenhouse One for her first Herbology class. I'm feeling tired. She put her hand up to her mouth and yawned. She saw the professor at the door and tried to perk up. Hoping it worked, she neared the door and looked at her smiling, "Hello Professor." I hope I don't yawn in here, I don't want her thinking I'm booored. Quote:

Herbology. What a lovely subject. A skip and hop had Charner's feet, setting her bouncing into the Greenhouse. She paused only momentarily to glance at the two sets of stools. Her present grin grew even wider and she looked at the Professor with pure excitement. She liked this one already, yes she did. Hands on experimentation and learning for the win! At least that's what she hoped. If they could only sit and watch the Professor demonstrate, well that would be okay, but it would still earn a big pout. Not as big as if they were assigned readings instead, but a pout nonetheless. And the Professor didn't want her students pouting, right? Right. So says Charner. "Gooooood morning, Professor." She gave a little bob of her head to the woman as she plopped herself down in the front row. "Do we get to get dirty today?" Oh please say yes. |
Aurora headed down to the greenhouses for her first Herbology lesson. She was really excited about learning all about the magical plants and how to use them correctly. She stepped through the door and greeted the professor: "Hello, Professor Bentley." Orr glanced warily at the toadstools before heading to find a seat. |
Lauren felt seriously dishevelled when she sauntered into Herbology, her hair was all over the place and she still had sleep in her eyes. She'd woken early, as normal, but had read to pass the time and soon her face was planted to the pages of her book... Speaking of plants... There were a lot of them in here! And it was so comfortably warm. She could totally get used to this. With some excitement, she recognised some people, including Kurumi, whom she smiled and waved to. And then there were the Slytherins she knew... Quote:

Emily walked into the greenhouses, her bag slung over her shoulder and a smile on her face. She actually liked Herbology, as long as they wern't working with man-eating plants. Those just plain freaked her out. "Good day Professor Bently!" she said as she entered and took a seat. Not too near the front incase whatever they were working with grabbed her. |

Lucy walked in the room, she could smell the trees and lovely flowers, rejuvenation her sprite to learn herbology. This wasn't her best subject as she didn't always have great marks in these. But she always felt good to be there. She loved nature and admired its beauty. Coming in the class she looked for a seat and sat as she waited for the class to begin. |
:) Heading down to Greenhouse One for the first Herbology lesson of the term, Stella made sure she had her dragonhide gloves in her bag as she went over the conversation she'd had with Professor Bentley at the feast. That was honestly the main reason she was attending, even though she didn't consider the subject one she was particularly horrible at. The professor had been so welcoming and all, she just would feel guilty if she didn't go to class. Of course, she'd also made sure she wasn't wearing any of her particularly nice pairs of flats. If she'd had sneakers, she probably would have worn those, but these were just as good for whatever she'd be up against. Plus, she still had a bit of Beauxbatons practice in herself, not letting herself look too casual. "Good morning, Professor Bentley," she greeted the professor as she passed her at the doorway, giving the woman a smile. At least she hadn't slipped and spoken in French again, but she'd gotten significantly better at that. And then she glanced at the toadstools on one side of the greenhouse. Hmm, okay. I guess I can say what we aren't studying this lesson, she thought, making her way to a stool against the opposite wall with all the other students who had arrived. At least she had a bit of an idea what they'd be up against, or at least so she thought. |
Ira walked in to the greenhouse with her fellow students.. Yuck, she hated plants and greenhouses! She just liked to watch plants, not study them. She was sure that Herbology would be her least favourite! She went inside and looked for a place to sit. Ira walked on and took a seat in the farthest corner. |

Kourtney stepped into the greenhouse, looking from side to side until her gaze settled on the very familiar Professor Bentley standing nearby. MJ entered the Greenhouse, dragonhide gloves in hand, her bag on her back. The first thing she saw was a row of toadstools!! Having just had a really difficult Charms lesson, MJ was feeling weird and stressed and like she'd never get any OWLs or NEWTs. But MJ was at home with plants! She felt a little part of the weight float off her shoulders as she smelt the soil-filled air. She noticed the teacher. "Hello, Professor Bentley!" She smiled at her new teacher. "My name is MJ Cacklesmaw. From First Year Ravenclaw. Um..." No, she couldn't say that now, she might get in trouble for it not being to do with class. Instead, she smiled again, made a mental note to see the Professor after class, and took a seat. |

Here she was in the only class she wouldn't risk wearing heels in. Why? She was NOT going to get dragon dung on any of her beloved heels. No no, not for all the galleons in the world or house points. Nathan was rather excited for his first biology lesson but also a bit nervous about going into the Greenhouse for the first time. The place looked like a giant maze and it was. He hot lost twice trying to find the right greenhouse. He was thankful that the most harmful plants where behind closed doors, he still did get a nip or two from other plants before he found greenhouse 1. He entered a little nervously but once he saw the professor he instantly calmed, "Good day professor Bentley", he hoped he as eading cursive on the whte board right. "My name is Nathan, I'm a first year Gryffindor", and with that Nathan walked passed the professor to where the other students were and waited for class to start. |
Everett was running slightly late, but he really was hoping he'd make it on time. Slytherin didn't need more points taken. He might have to stop playing his guitar before classes so he paid more attention to the time. Reaching the greenhouse, he was relieved to see he was there just on time. He was late he was late he was sooooo late! After having read the lesson notice on the notice board, Daichi dashed out of the common room and towards the greenhouses. He knew he shouldn't have slept a few hours , he was tired and above all he had a headache again but that didn't stop him from coming to class. Passing the fields, Daichi saw the greenhouses in the distance and saw that students were already filing inside. Oh no. Picking up his pace he reached his destination with alot of gasps for air and his side hurt. "He..hello, Prof......." He held his hand up as if to say , one second, and inhaled deeply as was bend over slightly , trying to catch his breath. Straightening back up, Daichi's red face from the running looked at the professor and he smiled. "Hello Professor Bentley, i'm not late right?." He asked in a worried voice as he looked around to find an empty seat. |
Jez smiled at the teacher as she went in. "Hello, Professor." It didn't look like she was late, because people were still arriving. Jez sat near the blackboard, and took out her books. Right, time for a quick skim over the subject again before the lesson began. |

Erin walked into the Greenhouses and there really were unfamiliar plants. She was advised not to be too easy on them since she was not sure what they could do to her. Thank goodness Faven had been able to join behind a group of students heading out onto the Hogwarts grounds, or she may never had known where the Greenhouse with Herbology class was. With her first step into the Greenhouse Faven was met with a warm heat that seemed to radiate from the many types of plants and the house itself. Addressing the Professor, "Hello Professor. I am quite excited for your class. My name is Faven Dragomir and I'm a first year," she said politely. Not a suck-up, but not disrespectful...right????? She looked around in amazement of all the different plants, some of which she had already seen within the Hufflepuff Common room. With two classes already with mean and impatient teachers, Faven hoped this Professor was kinder. Faven stopped gawking at the amazingly vegetation all around her just in time to see that many other students where already taking a seat. Slightly embarassed, Faven hurried to the opposite side of the classroom, and saw what looked like mushrooms. Yet, in a school of magic, Faven doubted they were mearly harmless mushrooms and strolled back over to where the rest of the students were sitting, faking nonchalence to hide her utter embarassment. She took a seat near the front, was there a reason why students weren't sitting there? |

Ronnie checked the clock before she walked into the greenhouse. SHE HAD MADE IT ON TIME!! She did her own celebration and smiled and walked in. Now school was starting to get into the swing of things Ronnie was started to feel a little better. She still didn't want it to be true, she couldn't live with out her dad, but the pain was starting to get easier with every day. She was ready for class to begin. She liked Herbology, she wasn't very good at it, but she at least liked it! |

After getting a bit lost in all those Greenhouses, Kynthia arrived in Greenhouse 1 and entered the class. She was really excited. Herbology was one of the lessons she was looking forward to from the day she found out the classes she was supposed to take as a first year. Her mother had a huge garden back home and she used to help her with it all the time. "Good morning Proffesor!" She said as she passed her Herbology teacher. Glancing at the blackboard she mentally noted to herself to write the Proffessor's name down. She was so forgetful. Oh this is going to be more interesting than I thought! She had just sat down on a stool, getting some parchment and her quill out when she noticed them. Are those toadstools? I wonder what we'll be learning about them today... |

After closing the door to the greenhouse she walked to the front of the.... well in front of the area where the students were crowded on their stools. "Good morning everyone! Welcome to the first Herbology lesson of the term," she started, smiling at all the fresh faces. She pulled her robes a little tighter around her. Unlike the other greenhouses this one was enchanted to stay at a crisp cool temperature, perfect for toadstools. "As you have all gathered, today we are looking at toadstools, now before we start looking at the ones behind me..." she indicated to the patches of toadstools behind her, "... who can tell me what a toadstool is?" "Hands up please... and if I don't already know you're name just introduce yourself first please." They would know if she knew them or not... right? With a swift swish of her wand the Blackboard rubbed out the previous message, and a new one appeared on its surface. Quote:

Sweet Merlin. Carter had a big head. Sitting behind him was NOT a good idea. Destiny had to keep shifting in her seat just to get a good look at the Professor. Luckily, though, there was no one sitting next to her, so she finally had the brilliant idea of scooting her chair over some. That way, she was still sitting behind Carter and Caroline, but she was sitting right in the middle. A perfect view. Toadstools. Well.. she didn't want to give away the most obvious answer and point to the ones that were all around the Greenhouse. So, she raised her hand high. "Professor! Toadstool is the name of a Princess!" Yup, Bentley just had to ask all the muggleborns in the class. Destiny was sure they would know. |
Olivia raised her hand, slightly more confidently than she had in her other classes. "I'm Olivia Evans, Professor." She introduced herself. "Toadstools are poisonous fungi that look similar to mushrooms." She hoped she'd got it right, that's what they were in the Muggle world anyway. |
