Actually Alyssa did mind that Harvey was hovering around, but she didn't say anything. She knew that Minerva had been trying to avoid him and she was wary that Harvey was trying to close to her, just to find out how Min was doing. However, she knew that the Professor wouldn't mind having him around since he was already in the greenhouse, so she just kept quiet.

"Professor is there anything I need to get out of the cupboards for you?", Alyssa asked Professor Bentley.

Trinity walk into the class one and walk around the green house.so loved plants.

Observing the two students, Seren couldn't help but smile. "Really it's no big deal Alyssa, I'm a teacher, it's what I do."
How students didn't understand that they should be able to approach their professors and should be able to ask for extra help, was a mystery to her.

"Well thank you dear, the work is appreciated," if the students didn't help out occasionally then she would have a lot of work on her hands, and that meant less one on one time.
"You're more than welcome to join us if you wish."
No point just sitting and watching, being involved is far more fun.
"They don't bite... I promise."

Patting the side of her robes she realised she'd left her gloves in the office, how unlike her. "Yes dear, could you please get two pairs of gloves and three calico bags?"
She gave Harvey a look... and yes it was a look that meant if he was sticking around then he would participate.

Alyssa quickly walked over to the cupboards and took out two pairs of gloves and three calico bags. Since she had brought her own gloves, she figured that the other pair of gloves were for Harvey. Alyssa walked back to where the Professor and Harvey was standing, and handed over the pairs of gloves to the Professor, while holding on to the calico bags.

Two Gloves!!?? But Alyssa has her own gloves he thought to himself... and then it struck him, oh boy that meant that the professor expected him to participate. They dont bite?! well he guessed since he was expected to participate he might as well trust the professor's word.

The greenhouses always brought good memories. This was where she and Nik had shared their very special moment together and that's why she was here today. To reminisce before she left Hogwarts forever and to also get Nik another souvenir. He really liked puffapods, so Mia was going to get him some more seeds.

She bypassed the first greenhouse seeing how the Professor was in there and headed down to greenhouse three. The plants in here were a little more dangerous but she figured if she kept away from them then she should be alright.

It had been a while since she had been down in the Greenhouses, stalking and spying on Professor Carlton and Dodson for Professor Lafay. And after three years, she had finally decided it was safe for her to return. They had a new Herbology Professor, and Destiny did not think she would be catching that woman snogging another Professor. No, that seemed like something Professor Hadley would do.

For what reason, she wasn't sure.

With a rather large stick in her hands, she made her way out of the castle, and she didn't get very far when she noticed Mia. Who seemed to be heading in the exact same direction. WHY WAS SHE GOING TO THE GREENHOUSES!? But, instead of just calling out to her and asking, Destiny decided to quietly follow her and only make her presence known once they reached.. Greenhouse three? Weren't they the dangerous plants?

"You know, Evelyn and I were almost eaten by Devil's Snare once? I beat it with a broom." True story.

Mia had just entered the greenhouse when suddenly there was a voice behind her and she almost almost jumped out of her skin, a little squeaky noise escaping her lips as well. She whirled around to find..."Destiny." She should have known. "What is it with you Slytherins trying to scare the crap out of me?"

How many times had Marie done that same thing to her?

It took her a few moments to register what her friend had actually said to her and her gaze immediately went to the stick in Destiny's hand and she raised her eyebrows. "Are you planning on that happening again?" she asked, inclining her head at the stick.

Sweet Merlin! This was going to be like the safari, wasn't it?

Oops!

Destiny didn't really mean to scare Mia! If that was what she was planning, surely she would have done something a little more extreme than just talking to her. Yes, she would have hid in one of the many bushes. And right before her friend would walk by, she'd jump out and wave her stick wildly in the air! But, she wasn't going to say that. Just in case she wanted to scare her next time. "Have you ever thought it was you who wants to get scared?"

It seemed logical. In Destiny's head, at least.

Shrugging her shoulders, she followed behind Mia into the Greenhouse, and moving further inside, she began to prod a few of the plants with her stick as she walked by. How was she supposed to tell which ones were dangerous if she didn't prod them first? "You can never be too sure with these plants. You always have to be ready for an attack!" Like the Devil's Snare. Those vines just come out of nowhere. "What are you doing in here anyway?"

Going to tell her she couldn't prod plants? Like how she told her she couldn't get a giraffe!?

"That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever." she said, staring at her friend for a moment before shaking her head and turning on her heel to walk further into the greenhouse. But then that should not surprise Mia in the least. This was Destiny we were talking about and it was a rare thing to hear her say something that did make sense.

Yeah...she went out of her way so that her friends could scare her. Pfft...

Mia rolled her eyes as Destiny spoke. Personally she wouldn't blame the plants if they wanted to attack the Slytherin. She herself had wanted to on a couple of occasions. Like when she had tried to smuggle a meerkat out of Africa in her bag and the time she had almost got them beheaded with that tribe.

At the girl's question, Mia shrugged her shoulders. "Just thought I'd take a look around for the last time." There was no reason to tell her friend that she was here to steal some puffapod seeds. Mainly because her friend had a big mouth and because the girl hated it when she brought her boyfriend into the conversation.

Destiny was not even going to bother explaining to Mia how what she said made perfect sense. Sometimes it was so very difficult being a genius. It was like people just expected her to solve and explain every problem in the world. She was only one person, she couldn't do everything! Heaving a great sigh, she pulled her stick away from the plants she was prodding and began following behind her friend further into the Greenhouse.

She was very curious as to what she was doing there. Although, hearing the answer, she was less than pleased.

What did she mean she was going to take a look around for one last time? Was Mia leaving school early? The last time Destiny had looked at a calendar, she was sure they all still had a few months left before they left Hogwarts for good. Or maybe.. maybe it had nothing to do with Mia. Maybe it was all Professor Bentley's doing! "Is Professor Bentley getting rid of the Greenhouses? What will happen to all of the plants? We have to keep them safe!" Which Destiny was going to do.

By prodding them with the stick once more.

Usually Mia could brush away Destiny's crazy talk with a wave of her hand or a roll of her eyes and just plain pretend that the girl hadn't spoken at all but she simply couldn't ignore what was coming out of the girl's mouth right at this moment.

She stopped walking and turned to face the Slytherin. "You really do come up with the most bizarre things Destiny Shepard. And stop poking the plants." The last thing she needed was to be eaten by a 'Fanged Geranium.' She was tempted to take the stick away from her friend but she was afraid that she would be hit with it.

"How in Merlin's name did you come up with the conclusion that Bentley was getting rid of the greenhouses?" Oh she couldn't wait to hear this explanation.

And she was so busy looking at Destiny, Mia had failed to noticed that a few creeping vines were making their way along the floor towards their legs.

It was a good thing Destiny had stopped walking and began poking the plants or else, when Mia stopped, she would have walked right into her. And normally it wouldn't have been a big deal, but they were in Greenhouse Three. The Greenhouse with the more dangerous plants, and she would have felt just horrible if Mia landed face first in some.. biting toadstools.

Not to mention the girl would have to go to the Healer's and Destiny wasn't too fond of them.

Ignoring her friend when she told her she came up with the most bizarre things, she scoffed before pulling the stick away from the plants. It was just like back on the safari. Always being told not to do something. Pfft. "Well.." she began, turning to face Mia, and pointing the stick in her direction. She was lucky she wasn't getting poked! "You said that you were going to look around for one last time. And since you aren't leaving school, I figured the Greenhouses were leaving instead."

Now that made perfect sense! And just like Mia, Destiny had failed to notice the creeping vines. She was pointing a stick, after all.

Mia leaned back away from the stick that was being pointed at her. Sheesh! The Slytherin didn't need to get all up in her face. She was just asking a question. And okay she may have bossed her around a little but then it came to Destiny, you had to. Otherwise you'll find yourself in a lot of trouble if you just let the girl run wild.

"Okay, Okay." she said, using her hand to push the stick away from her face. "I came here to get some puffapod seeds." It was getting too hard to continue with her lie especially if her friend was going to keep coming up with her bizarre ideas.

The greenhouses were leaving. *snort*

She felt a tickling sensation at the back of her left leg and thinking nothing of it, used her right foot to scratch it. Five seconds later, she felt a tug and her feet flew out from underneath her and she landed on the floor with a thud.

Just like Destiny expected.

Mia didn't like having a stick pointed at her. Which only made her wonder how much she would dislike having a Beater's Bat pointed at her. Next time she left the castle, she was going to make sure she brought her bat out with her. She could go around pointing it at everyone! She'd be more feared than Evelyn! Evelyn pre Head Girl, though. She wasn't as scary when she wore that badge.

Lowering her arm once Mia pushed the stick away from her face, Destiny raised an eyebrow before glancing around the Greenhouse for the Puffapods. What did Mia want with those things anyway? They were pink and the only thing they were really good for was throwing them at people's heads. It was always amusing watching as the little pod burst open once they made contact with the person.

She spotted the Puffapods at the other side of the Greenhouse, and turning back to Mia, she pointed her stick in the plant's direction. Only.. she was pointing for nothing, since it seemed Mia would rather just lay on the floor instead of get the seeds. "Mia, you're not expecting me to go get the seeds for you, while you are laying down, do you?"

And yes. The stick was pointing at her once again. And no. Destiny did not notice the vine wrapped around her friend's leg.

It took Mia a few moments to get over the shock of being on the floor of the greenhouse and to realise that it wasn't her clumsiness that had caused her to fall but the vines of a plant. Vines that looked suspiciously like they belonged to the Venomous Tentacula plant.

Okay she wasn't going to panic. It was only the vines. She was pretty sure that the more dangerous part of the plant was some ten feet away. And she seriously doubted that the vines were tough enough to drag her that far. Ten seconds later, Mia reconsidered that last thought when the vines tightened around her legs and she was sure they were going to cut off her circulation.

Looking up at Destiny when she spoke, Mia let out a little growl of frustration and smacked the stick away from her face. "Do you think you could give me a hand here? Instead of trying to poke my eyes out with that stick." If she was so desperate to use that bloody stick then she could at least start beating the vines off her legs.

"Get these vines off me." And then as an afterthought. "Please."

Okay, okay!

She REALLY got the hint now. Mia REALLY didn't like the stick pointing at her. Destiny didn't know what the big deal was, it was only a stick and she hoped Mia didn't think she was really going to poke her with it. No, she had been poked with quite a few sticks in her eighteen years, and it hurt. She would never poke a person! Unless the person really deserved it. But even then, she would go and find Marie instead. She'd put those fists of hers to good use.

It was then, as she lowered her arm to her side, that she noticed the vines wrapped around Mia's leg. Destiny immediately checked her own, and heaving a sigh of relief, she moved closer to her friend. How was she supposed to get the vines off!? They were wrapped around her leg! "I don't have a broom, Mia!" And she didn't see a broom anywhere in the Greenhouse.

Sweet Merlin! Mia was going to lose her leg and it was going to be all her fault!

"Should I set it them fire?" It was times like this that Destiny really appreciated being friends with Evelyn. As she waited for her friend to decide if fire was a good idea, she moved down to her knees, and abandoning the stick, she tried to pull the vines off.

MERLIN!!

Just...MERLIN!!

Mia stared at her friend with totally disbelief and she wished she had a stick of her own right about now. She didn't have a broom. What did she need a broom for? The girl was a witch, wasn't she? Okay the same could be said for her but she had an excuse of not thinking clearly since those vines were trying to cut her legs off.

"NOOOO!!" she yelled. "You will not set them on fire." Mia didn't trust anyone with fire, least of all Destiny. Oh she was sure the girl was quite competent with her spellwork but she was not going to take the chance. Not when her body was involved.

And while she appreciated the effort her friend was making, Mia knew that trying to pull them off with her hands was not going to work. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. "Use 'Diffindo' Destiny." She really was desperate, to even suggest the Slytherin use magic on her. But if the girl cut her legs off then Mia was going to dump a bag of dragon dung on her head.

"Fine!"

Destiny would not use fire to help Mia get her leg out of the vines. She should have been happy that she was still there in the Greenhouses with her. And she should be even gladder that she wasn't running around the place like a chicken without her head, screaming for help. She wasn't good under this kind of pressure! Mia could lose her leg. And the more she thought about that, the more she did want to run around screaming for help.

But, she did owe it to Mia to save her life. How many times had she pulled her away from the man eating lions over the summer?

Her hands began tugging the vines harder, her brow furrowing when it seemed they were just wrapping themselves tighter around her leg. She was sure fire would be quicker than 'Diffindo', but since Mia was scared.. "Okay, but you better stay as still as possible." she said, and pulling out her wand, she tapped the vine. "Diffindo."

And it would have worked perfectly, if it weren't for the fact that more vines started to appear, and wrap themselves around, not only Mia's leg, but her own as well.

Could she scream now?

The doors to greenhouse three swings open, exposing the nicely flourished warm environment to the harsh winter wind. An extremely large figure makes it's way into the greenhouse. It's completely white body is covered in detailed indented scales, that even appear on it's tail. The figure begins to trample on every plant in its way, leaving the normally warm plants in a frozen state. It takes a couple of glances at it's large white body, and black coal eyes, to realize what the creature is; a snow dragon.

Having decided to take a break from the books and, quite literally, get her hands dirty elsewhere, Kurumi made her way to the greenhouses to perhaps get some more practice in replanting various plants. She was, after all, going to need to be extra sharp on the subject so that she could help Jonathan study for his OWLs. Of course, this also meant extra prep time for her, which she was never against.

Upon stepping into the greenhouse, Kurumi was surprised when a sharp shiver was sent down her spine. Wait...WHAT? Since when did she shiver when she entered the greenhouses? Throwing her coat back on and wrapping her purple scarf around her neck, Kurumi heard a muffled thumping noise.

Curiosity killed the lion, right?

Hopefully not.

Slowly, Kurumi edged forward until she found a steady path of trampled plants and...snow? Kurumi knelt down and poked a daisy with her wand only to hear a sound like one would expect when you tapped glass. It was frozen.

"What the..." she murmured...until she heard something like heavy breathing. Looking up slooooooooooowly, Kurumi herself felt frozen like the daisy in front of her.

THERE WAS A DRAGON IN THE GREENHOUSE!!!

Jez walked into the greenhouses, hoping to forget her stressful week with the beautiful plants. What she saw, instead of safely closed glass doors of Greenhouse 3 and the luscious green plants, was a snow dragon! Not again! Jez screamed, hoping to alert Professor Bentley that her plants were being murdered. Meanwhile, Jez ran into the greenhouses, wand in hand, trying to remember a good spell for melting snow. She had to protect those innocent plants!

Okay that didn't sound too good. Did Destiny actually know how to do the 'Diffindo' spell? Realising that she really had no other option, Mia made sure to sit as still as possible while her friend tried to get rid of the vines off her legs.

Mia had no idea whether the spell worked or not because something caught her attention from over Destiny's shoulder and she craned her neck to see what it was. Her eyes widened in horror and her mouth fell open but no words would come out.

And here she thought she was going to be eaten by a plant, but it appeared that hers and Destiny's situation had just gotten a lot worse. Using one of her hands, she slapped her friend on the head.

"D-D-Destiny." she whispered, hoping that the snow dragon couldn't hear her. "We...we've got company."

Could she scream now?

Having seen Kurumi walk into the greenhouse shortly before she went in herself, TJ was surprised to have found her kneeling next to a plant. Not to mention the freezing cold in the greenhouse. Tightening the scarf she was starting to unwrap, her eyes roamed over the greenhouse, searching for answers. "What happened?" she murmured. Weren't the greenhouses magically kept warm no matter what the temperature was outside?

Stepping further into the greenhouse, TJ shivered as she spotted the crushed plants. Making her way another aisle she wanted to find whatever was causing it, but pulled her wand out just incase. Jumping back as she saw the snow dragon coming towards her as she turned the corner she gasped. First the snowman in the entrance hall...and now a dragon???

Kurumi's jaw dropped and she wanted to scream, but thankfully the appearance of a first year Ravenclaw and two older students made her resist - although she was still screaming inside her head.

They couldn't just stand there and do nothing. The dragon was going to keep stomping around freezing everything.

Wait...what IF he didn't breathe fire but ice. Icy breath that froze whatever it touched! Did that mean that they would all freeze into statutes or something? Did that mean she would be a block of ice when there was homework still to do?!

Kurumi whipped out her wand and ran over to the first year, showing her true Gryffindor colors by standing in front of the younger student. She looked over and saw Mia and Destiny, two girls that she hadn't really spoken to much, but who she knew from classes.

"Mia, Destiny," she called out waving her wand. "We need to do something." Of course, there was sure to be ways that the first year could help to, but there was no telling what this snow dragon thing of DOOM was capable of.

First things first, they had to immobilize it. "In-CAR-ser-us!" she shouted as robes shot from her wand and attempted to tangle itself around the beasts front legs. It was worth a try, right?

She heard another voice just then, one belonging to TJ, and her head snapped back around. "Um...a snow dragon decided it fancied smelling some flowers?" Bad joke...and not the time to be joking.
