There were a few words he could correct, but didn't. It seemed all Gryffindors were prone to rule-breaking and attention-seeking at times. Granted, he knew a great amount of them that weren't. Sabel wasn't one of them, neither was Kurumi, but still.

"That's a lot of cats, in all honesty." One was more than enough...especially when Walnut had decided to pee on his shoes, eh? Perseus, on the other hand, well, Perseus was a Kneazle, never mind.

Wait, what? She did? He smiled and wondered why she hadn't done the same. Since day one she's been proud to sport that badge on her robes, hadn't she? It probably took a lot of convincing on her father side. "I didn't." And Aaron had said that he was going to do a good job, but that never truly mattered, or he failed to accept what his best friend had said. He looked down, just for a bit, until she mentioned something else. Him? Best suited? "Right." How come he didn't sound so convinced, even now? "But, of course, you are. That's why you think so." Wink.

"Arya feels that same way, and I'm sure all my friends do." Didn't Nessie mentioned how nice of a Prefect he was? Days ago? Yes?

Ah, but he noticed that. "Everything okay?" He didn't say anything that could take away that smile...yet it had happened.

Kurumi couldn't imagine having another cat. Walnut was enough of a handful as it was. "I wouldn't be able to keep another pet while having Walnut," she said in a rather deadpan tone. "He causes so much trouble...even got in trouble with the Headmaster. He shaved Walnut..." Yep, Walnut the Hairless Wonder was currently strutting around the common room.

She DID blush this time, probably bright enough that Treyen should notice. The infamous Lockhart wink, hard to not blush when one of those were thrown in your direction. Treyen was probably biased towards Kurumi as a choice of prefect as well, but she decided not to comment on that. Nope, instead she was just going to wiggle in her seat a little bit.

She sighed a bit. "Just...um...talking about Gryffindor and representing it instead of serving it...it...reminded me of Patroclus," she replied softly. "He said some things to be right before he apparating from the grounds and, well, they really stuck with me."

Yeah, that's because Walnut was one special cat that LOVED being the king of everything. And he used to be, until that incident on the train. Treyen was agreeing with her, considering he was nodding and nodding until...he started to LAUGH. "Shaved? You're kidding, right? Why did he shave Walnut?" And how did Walnut look? It must be a very amusing sight.

The blush, yes, was entirely noticed...and kind of ignored.

It was ignored because there were more important things that shouldn't be ignored, like the next thing she said. Oh. Right. Patroclus. Well, there was no way Treyen could know that whatever the former Gryffindor Prefect had said to her had something to do with what he just mentioned. "Oh, sorry Kurumi. I...didn't mean to." Didn't mean to erase that smile from her face, really.

"I guess that means we are both right." Him and Patroclus. And yes, Treyen will try to keep the conversation away from any topic that could revolve around Patroclus. Mainly because it wasn't too much of a happy subject to discuss.

Anyway....

...."Ready for Quidditch this weekend?" way to keep the conversation happy, eh?

"I wish I was," Kurumi laughed, covering her mouth for a moment to try and muffle her laughter. "There was even a note from the Headmster saying that it Walnut tried what he did again that he would be fed to the Giant Squid." Which, the man wouldn't REALLY do, would he? Wasn't there like some sort of wizarding law against that? Animal cruelty? "You know what Walnut is capable of...I can only imagine what that cat did..."

Yeah...she REALLY didn't want to think about it.

The concern on Treyen's face was strangely refreshing and something that she hadn't seen in a long time. With no other intentions other than to let him know that it was alright, she reached over and patted his shoulder. "It's...alright...it's kind of nice to be reminded of him sometimes. I...I really miss him." Patroclus had been one of her first big brothers at the school. All the rest of them well...they were all leaving at the end of this term. Yet another unhappy thought. Maybe it was best to change subjects...

Which Treyen did. To Quidditch. "I...guess," she said with a small shrug. Yet another thing that she wasn't too sure about. Not that she didn't like being on the team, but she wasn't sure that she was really the best person for the team. They hadn't won a match with her Seeking and despite her improving, she was simply no match for those other Seekers. Which...brought up more things that were just plain awkward to talk about. "I'm actually thinking that this will be my last term on the team."

Between classes, renewed studying for exams, and the few personal details that had unfolded, Stella needed time to relax. Of course, she knew that wasn't entirely possible, so she'd decided to work on some easy studying in the library for the time being. That way, she could get some quiet time and still feel like she got something accomplished. Sitting down near the stained glass windows, she curled up with a book on Charms only to jump slightly as she heard an odd squeaky noise from her bag, lying on the chair near her bent legs. Did Lyra chase a mouse in there or something?, she wondered, setting the book in her lap as she drew the bag closer. Hopefully not, because she didn't think Madame Donovan would appreciate a mouse running around the library, but she didn't know what else would squeak like that.

Until she looked inside, and saw the scarf-wrapped bundle that was Oberon vibrating yet again. And making the odd squeaking noise, which made her pull the bundle out and set it in her lap next to the book. "What's wrong this time?," she wondered aloud, keeping her voice low as she unwrapped her egg. She really didn't think squeaking was good, and it had never happened before. Drawing the scarf away entirely, she jumped again as the egg almost stuck to her hand. Freezing cold, and dry as a bone, which she knew was definitely not good. "I'm so sorry," she told her egg, taking her wand out as well to try and make it fell better. At first all she'd been able to think was that her egg was upset due to her own feelings, but then unlike before, she wasn't upset. So she was actually thankful it was something else, even though she needed to fix it.

"Argentum calidus," she cast first, making sure she did the correct wand movement, before she quicly moved to the next spell. "Argentum humidus." She needed to pull back just as fast, to make sure she kept Oberon at the right temperature and humidity level, but after a moment the squeaking stopped and she was able to touch the egg lightly and not feel like she was going to stick to it, or end up with a wet finger. Hopefully Oberon would be okay for a while, but she still wanted to be careful. Therefore, she simply tucked the egg next to her in the chair, before sliding the scarf back in her bag and going back to her reading. At least she'd know what was going on if anything else was needed right now.

Say what? Barty? Treyen's eyes widened for a moment, and he found himself extremely curious about what Walnut could've possibly done for the Headmaster to react that way. But his expression went back to an amused one in an instant. "I don't think he'll feed him to the Squid, though. Squids don't eat cats." Yeah, that was the logical reason of WHY Walnut will be safe...

...kind of.

Okay, so Treyen was no longer sorry of bringing up Patroclus, then. A small smile was shown, but he didn't made any comments at all, a simple nod was enough to drop that particular topic.

Quidditch. Her answer meant she wasn't precisely ready, was she?

Then this was just an awkward subject to be talking about as well. Until..., "That's actually smart." He'll have one less person to be concerned about whenever Quidditch happened. "You'll have OWLs next year." That was the reason he was giving her, no need to let her know that he worried for those on the Pitch. Or he'll get the same reply Ellie gave him.

Kurumi blinked a few times and giggled. "That's probably only because there are no cats in the oceans for them to try and eat." Yeah, she was totally missing the point of what Treyen was trying to say. "The diet habits vary from one squid species to another. For instance, a giant squid eats not only the small fish but also the smaller species of squid and large sea animals such as young ones of the shark and whale. So, I suppose if a cat were somehow swimming around a squid would eat it." Well, he DID bring up the diet of a squid.

Kurumi slouched her shoulders a bit more. "I wasn't born a Quidditch player, not like Selina anyway. I have...a bad feeling about the upcoming match too." She squirmed a bit in her seat. It was foolish of her to try out in the first place - her reasons being what they had been. Nothing but selfishness and now she was concerned that that selfishness was only hurting her team. Ali could be a fair Seeker, she was just lucky in practices, but when it came to matches she clammed up.

"I feel like I better serve the school in other areas." She smiled back at him again. She wasn't looking for pity or for him to talk her back in to playing the sport, it was something that had been on her mind for a long time. She was already a Prefect and had taken her duties there very seriously along with her studies. Wasn't it only fair to let other lions represent their house? "Jonathan gets too worried about me on a broom anyway."

Off the cuff comment, but it slipped out.

Yeah, aha, whatever. That was probably it. Or...not really.

Blink.

Blink. Blink.

"I...," he didn't know what to say, he was rendered speechless by all that amount of information that wasn't even asked but he was still getting. And about squids. His mind was currently thinking of Sierra and whatever the Slytherin girl had said about Kurumi...he was now beginning to understand what the other had meant. Treyen chuckled, "...I didn't know that." Nor knew anyone that could possibly know details about squids and their diets.

His smile was a sweet one. Kurumi did know a great deal of things, didn't she?

Okay. Time to listen. He managed to be quiet as she spoke up her mind but the Hufflepuff Prefect couldn't keep quiet for long. "You don't have to say anything else, at least not to me. I won't force Quidditch on you, Kurumi," especially not after being the one to quit it in the first place, "If you don't want to play anymore...then don't do it, simple as that. And I'm sure your teammates will understand." Sort of like Simon and Isobel had understood Treyen's non-Quidditch term, which was no longer a non-Quidditch one.

Complications.

She was still bringing up the word 'serve' which continued to amuse him. As he was about to comment on that...she...said something else. "Jonathan you say? And...who's this Jonathan that gets worried over you, eh?" a boy that liked her, he guessed as much. "I get why he'll be worried, though." That was the same worry he had whenever Ellie played.

"Creatures," Kurumi said in a tone that implied that simply saying the word explained everything. She caught his smile and...surprisingly didn't feel like she was going to melt into a pile of Kurumi-goo all over the seat. Sure, there was still something there that tugged at her. "It has always been my favorite subject so I read about anything and everything whenever I can." And it was facts about creatures that stuck with her the most. Probably the most obvious reason she was considering working for the Ministry in the Care of Magical Creatures department.

Kurumi decided to sort of...drop the whole Quidditch subject before she broke out into rashes again. Out of sight out of mind, right?

NOW her cheeks were turning pink and she had to avert her eyes. Really, she shouldn't still be acting like this since it had been three months since her and Jonathan had gotten together, but she still got flustered over it all. "Erm...Jonathan is a fifth year Slytherin," she explained. Her cheeks probably explained the rest crystal clear. Heck, her hair was telling the story as well. Kurumi was a very easy to read person. "He and I are...we're..." Kurumi probably looked ridiculous right now as she sat next to Treyen. It wasn't that she was uncomfortable saying the word, not exactly. "...dating."

Could she go hide under some pillows now?

Oh. Really? He wouldn't have guessed that that was what she liked the most, after all, she's brilliant at everything.

He listened and leaned against the glass since the wizard that occupied the window wasn't even there. "Do you have any idea as to what career you could pursue after Hogwarts?" he wondered out loud, she'll probably choose something in the 'Creatures' field, yes? Everyone should do what they liked the most, or something like that. Him and Harlow had agreed on it. Of course, the word 'fun' had been included somewhere along those lines as well, but, whatever.

Got it, Kurumi. No more talking about Quidditch. Amazingly enough, she didn't even have to say anything to let him know the 'Quidditch' topic was dropped, whereas with Ellie and the incredible topic of 'study' required the girl to compliment him in order to make him stop.

Simply amazing.

Heeeeey, look at that! Heh. Now he knew who Jonathan was just by looking at her. How come he never realized what Kurumi had felt for him last year, eh? She was so obvious. Well, her hair was.

There was a smile on his face. "A great boy, of course," no doubt about it, and one of Salander's House too. Fair enough. "And a very lucky one." Because Kurumi's hair made it more than obvious that she liked him too.

Kurumi kicked her legs out in a childish manner as she leaned back a bit more in her own seat. She looked out the stained glass window, not really at anything in particular, but to more focus her thoughts. "I...haven't really given it all that much thought," she said, shaking her head a bit. "I've been reading a lot about dragons, so becoming a Dragonologist has crossed my mind more than once." Jonathan had laughed when she had mentioned this. Little five foot one inch her working with dragons was an amusing thing to think about she supposed. "Really though, the entire field of Magizoology interests me. I've been interested in creatures ever since I could walk, at least that's what father says." They were her only friends growing up as well, but Treyen really didn't need to hear more about that. He had already listened to her history enough and had helped her uncover some rather dark truths about herself last term before...well...before all that had gone down. "I always assumed that I would take over the kendo school after Hogwarts, but now, I don't know...it's a difficult decision."

Now he was smiling at her and she had the urge to poke his cheeks. Wait, that was something she did with Jonathan. Doing so to Treyen would feel...weird. "What are you beaming about?" she laughed shyly. Did she need to take her sunglasses out of her bag? Even after everything, his smile was still blinding. His comment about Jonathan being lucky...sort of stung, but she didn't know how to explain the feeling. There was something with how she still kind-of-sort-of felt about Treyen, but there was something else there too.

She inclined her head, covering her cheeks with her hands a bit and noticed that her hair was pink in patches. Oops. Well, her secret was out now in terms of what that color had meant. That sort of made the situation a little more awkward, at least for her.

"I-I tend to think that I am the lucky one," she blushed, chewing on her bottom lip a bit.

Minerva smiled at the pretty windows as she found a spot to sit and opened her book. She breathed easy this was a comfort spot for her to be with her thoughts and her books.

Harvey had walked past the stained glass windows and then he suddenly stopped. He turned around and saw Minnie sitting there near the windows. He went up to her. "Minnie you are fast becoming a bookworm. You are studying whenever I see you. That is good, I like how you care about your studies." he said to her smiling.

Minerva looked up and smiled. "Well I guess my hiding place has been found." Becoming a bookworm, Minerva guess she was able to hide this part of her from her friends. "Oh I just like reading that's all" She closed the transfiguration book. "What are you doing here?"

"Yes it has been found, but I can unfind it if you want, oh reading is good.." Harvey said grinning "Oh I hardly come here, so I just came here for a bit of piece and quiet and to watch everyone walk around and pick books, and watch the enchantments here in this place. Very interesting I can tell you." he said smiling

"No you don't have to unfind it." Minerva smiled. "It's not like it was that hidden. I know it probably shows in classes more then it does outside of classes, but I was a bit of a book worm and nerd in my muggle classes. Not really really smart, but just well.." Minerva didn't know what term to use.

Harvey smiled "Oh I am glad, but if it needs to be unfound, just let me know and I will go" he said knowing that sometimes people liked to be alone "I like that about you, you like to study. In my book thats a good thing." he said smiling "Anymore parties in the common room lately?" he asked as he remembered that the puffs used to party alot.

Minerva looked down and frowned at the question."Well we just had a little one, but there wasn't many people there. To be honest I felt like a third wheel to Justin and Ame. I've been feeling kind of weird around all my friends lately, except you." Minerva gave a weak smile honestly I think you maybe my only friend anymore."

Harvey's smile disappeared No parties??? What has happened to all the puffs, there used to be a party every week, that Minnie loved to plan. And now all I hear is there was a SMALL one, SMALL???!!!. No that dont sound right. Something is up in the Puffs. I wonder what it is. he thought to himself before speaking "No I am sure you have other friends, what about all your Puff housemates, Alyssa, Penny and Violet. They are also your friends. About being the third wheel I know what you mean, I kind of felt it too with you, so I kind of disappear afterwards, but I DONT mind being the third wheel as long as YOU are happy, for me that is the main thing. Not just us Erin felt it too remember." Harvey smiled weakly "Why you feeling weird around all your friends, you dont feel weird with me do you? " he asked both questions in one breath. He then smiled weakly at her Something is bothering her, I need to know what it is. I guess I will try and get to the bottom of this and make her feel better, turn that frown upside down. he thought to himself.

"Your right about the third wheel thing. I am very happy with William and I thought I was very happy to have all my friends again, but Alyssa has been avoiding me or doesn't seem to want to talk to me, Violet won't come out of her room, you are always with Ronnie, and Justin is with Ame. William actually told me I should take a girlfriend to dinner and I couldn't even think of any that would want to go with me."

Harvey was shocked, he put his hand on hers "Minnie, I told you before when I first started dating Ronnie that I will always make time for you, no matter what. As it is Ronnie is busy at the moment even I havent seen her lately. So we can hang out as much as you want, unless you want some alone time?" he asked smiling and then noticed his hand on hers and removed it before she felt uncomfortable he then smiled to show her that he always has time for her. If only William had said FRIEND instead of girlfriend, then I would have taken her to dinner as a friend. he thought to himself.

"Well it's probably my fault as well though. If I'm not studying I do spend most of my time with William. "

Justin walked into the library to look a few things up when he had a de je vous moment when he saw his two best friends talking by the windows. " Oi, How are you two? "

Harvey smiled "Its not your fault, its ok that you do spend most of your time with him, remember how we used to spend almost every evening together while we were together? It is the same thing here, now that you with William you are spending as much time as you can with him. That is ok, well with me anyways, I dont know about the others" he said smiling "It is up to you who you want to hang out with, I cant say to you that you HAVE to hang out with me. But if you feel that you want to hang out with someone other than William then I am sure all your friends, me INCLUDED will hang out with you." he told her. he then looked away "After you left me I realised how suffocated you may or must have been while with me. So I made a decision to give you some space, and I would hang out with you ONLY if you wanted me to. If you tell me you need some alone time then I will give it to you. Just because I saw you here and came here doesnt mean that you have to hang out here, you can tell me to leave if you want." he said explaining everything he felt to her. "Dang, Have I said too much? She will probably get a little uncomfortable now, well lets see what she thinks. he thought to himself nervous now.

"Hello Justin" Minerva smiled knowing why he was at the Library. "We are good."
