"yup first year. it's tough being away from my mum & poppa but im managing" Ariana replied giving a little to much detail about her life.

"Yes I know, me as well. Its also hard being away from my friends." Angelina gave a sad smile to Ariana then added, "I went to a muggle school before so they are all muggle."

"i went to muggle school as well but never had any friends. i didnt really care for any of them. plus my parents were very careful about who we brought around because were purebloods but we live in the muggle world. my parents didnt even tell me i was a witch untill i could keep my mouth shut. though i always knew they were 'special' Ariana laughed.

Angelina laughed with Ariana and said, "Yeah for me it was a bit different. I knew I was a witch but I guess my parents were planning for me to just make friends to be happy, but once I got to Hogwarts I would just end up forgetting about them later years." Angelina knew that it might slightly happen, since she wont see then everyday like friends here, but she planned to be somewhat friends with them.

"well i had one friend, not a best friend but i sat next to her in class & stuff. one time she made me mad so during lunch i 'accidently' spilled her water on her, i was like 7 & i still have NO Idea how i did it but i know i did"! Ariana laughed

Angelina open her mouth in an O and started to giggle, "What did she do?"

"ahhaah! She thought it just 'spilled' on her! but i know what really happened.we were never really that close after that.!" ariana was glad to be talking to someone about this.

"oh. Are you sad about that ever?" Angelina never really been in something like that, only has heard of them.

"Not really i never really cared for muggle's even before i knew i was a witch i was never a social child."

With her big, empty bag in her hands, Destiny moped her way back into the Common Room.

She should have known that trying to steal a suit of armor was going to be hard work, and it was even more difficult since the suit of armor she wanted to take could talk. How was she supposed to take him? She couldn't! What if all the others talked, too? What if they were all related..in some weird, and metal-ey suit of armor way?

What did a suit of armor baby look like?

Actually..she didn't want to know that. Shuddering at the thought, Destiny stopped in the middle of the room, and taking a quick glance around, she moved over and plopped herself down on the sofa. And because she was in a not so good mood, she covered her head with the bag and crossed her arms.

"Stupid talking suit of armor."

Marie stepped into the common room smiling from ear to ear. This had been absolutely the best birthday she had ever had. Never in a million years would she had guessed what Matty was going to do.

Making her way over to her comfy chair in front of the fire she couldn't stop looking at the ring that was now on her finger. She didn't even notice there was someone sitting on the couch with a bag over their head. Nope, she was too absorbed in her ring and the fact that she was now engaged.

ENGAGED!

Marie Salazar was going to be getting married!

Rather dejectedly, Evelyn made her way into the common room, shakily clasping the necklace behind her neck once again. She'd never really taken it off before, and the feeling of putting it back ON after...the library...

Well, she had better days.

Not even aware of whoever was in the common room since she didn't attempt to look around, her main goal was to get to the girls dormitory and either fall asleep as soon as possible so this day would end, or distract herself with a ton of studying. There were still things she needed to go over for the NEWTs anyhow.

It didn't take very long for the bag covering her face to start suffocating her, and flailing her arms around a little bit, Destiny ripped it off and threw it to the floor. Yeah, she remembered what her mother had told her just a little too late and now her lungs were paying the price!

Not that she had any idea what her lungs were for, but that was what she thought was hurting at the moment.

Breathing heavily, she narrowed her eyes at the bag, and kicking it away from her, just in case it had thoughts of suffocating her again, she glanced around and.. MARIE was there!

And so was EVELYN!

Thankfully, though, it seemed like they were in their own little worlds and missed her fight with the bag. "Now I know what it feels like to be a chameleon. Blending in with my surroundings."

Roxana set down in one of the comfortable chairs next to the fire. With a mayor headache she looked around in the common room. There was no face she could recognize. Really annoying for the black haired girl was, that due to the fact that her mother died, she had to stay at home for one year, so of course, she didn't know a person here. What a shame !

"Really? I always was interested in what they do," She told her.

Marie was sitting there replaying the nights events over in her head when she was snapped out of her daydream. Looking around she seen her Destiny sitting on the couch. When did she get there and why the heck was she talking about blending with her surroundings?

Is that why she hadn't seen the girl when she sat down? Had Destiny been practicing a new charm... a charm that made her blend in with things. Or, did her friend have an invisibility cloak she wasn't telling anyone about?

Before she could say anything to D about it she caught sight of someone moving towards the stairs to their dorm room. Turning her head she seen it was the Head Girl. "Hey Ev, come sit over here. I have something to tell you two." She then looked back over towards Destiny as she twisted the ring on her finger.

The ring she was still trying to get use to wearing.

Just as she made it to the stairs, Evelyn paused on the first step, glancing over her shoulder. Oh, hey...friend peoples. Debating whether or not to ask Marie if she could tell her whatever it was in the dormitory, the Slytherin girl walked back over to the couches and plopped down in HER seat. The one that had the best view of the common room of course. Totally hers.

Sighing heavily, she glanced between the two she-snakes, raising a brow as her gaze finally settled on Marie. Studying could wait she supposed. This sounded serious. "Don't tell me. You..." Point. "Finally decided that we need to take these chairs when we leave this place."

Seriously. They were rather comfy.

Sierra sighed as she headed into the Slytherin Common Room. She already hated this stupid egg, and it'd only been with her for a short amount of time. It always needed something--whether it was a spell to make it cooler, warmer, or whatever. Couldn't it just be a normal piece of metal and do nothing?! Rust maybe?!

She had the egg in her pocket as she walked into the room. She'd taken to carrying it in there, because she could usually tell if it was too hot or too cold or whatever. It always quivered when it was too hot and took shelter when it was too cold. Also, truth be told, she hated the thing and wanted it out of sight as much as possible.

She completely contradicted that thought when she arrived at the vacant couch she'd spotted. She plopped down on it and took the egg out of her pocket. She placed it on the end table next to her and just looked at it. In response, it did...well, nothing. What else could a metal egg do anyway? She watched it and waited a little longer. Still, the egg did nothing. Was it possible? Could it be that it actually heard her? Was it truly being a normal piece of metal and doing nothing at all?

She watched it for about fifteen minutes longer, and when it still did nothing, she sprang from the couch, grabbed the egg, and headed off. She had to document this moment in her journal.

Tori had decided that the reason Harry hadn't hatched yet was perhaps because he wasn't getting enough nutrients. Of course, it also made sense to her that a metallic egg didn't really need nutrients, at least not the kind that came from food, but Tori wasn't one to shirk her duties.

Not much, anyway.

The redhead settled into a squishy couch in the common room and took out lil Harry Hatchling, settling him into the palm of her left hand. With her right hand, she took out a little miniature bar of chocolate and unwrapped it for Harry. What better use for her least favorite type of candy, right? Anyway. This method had sorta worked for the pygmy puffs, so Tori was going to try it on Harry.

"Now then, Harry dearest, I want you to open up and gobble up this delicious chocolate morsel," Tori encouraged him cheerfully. "Get ready. Ready? Set? EAT!"

Then she made a bunch of little airplane sounds as she zoooomed the chocolate straight toward Harry's middle. The egg didn't seem to be moving, however, and Tori could have sworn he was slowly freezing her hand off. The chocolate crashed right into his shiny exterior and got alllllll over him.

"Great," Tori grumped, throwing down the stupid chocolate and standing up from the couch. "Now I have to go clean you off and polish you up again...."

Grump grump grump. She did stomp all the upstairs to the dormitory where she proceeded to wash Harry, dry Harry with Argentum Siccus, and then polish Harry with Excolo. Only once was that finished did VicTORIa return to the common room and to her couch, where she sank down with a good book about Quidditch maneuvers, with Harry resting on her chest.

Destiny wondered what it would really feel like to be a chameleon.

Climbing up trees with their webbed little..hands. Being able to change their color whenever they felt like it. Sure, she could do that now thanks to a few potions, but that took too much time. Brewing, then drinking. She wanted to be able to do it quickly! A chameleon's life was awesome. Except for the whole eating bugs thing. She'd rather not.

Her thoughts seemed to shatter, though, as she heard Marie's voice, and glancing over at her friend for a moment, she craned her neck to see if Evelyn was going to join them. Marie needed to tell them something, and Destiny knew what it was already. Stealing chairs, pfft. They would not look right in her house in Fiji. A suit of armor would and it was too bad she wasn't able to steal it. "Don't say it, Marie. We already know." Holding up her hand to stop Marie from talking, she turned to Evelyn for confirmation of this and nodded her head. "You're going to tell us how much you're going to miss us."

It was so obvious.

Marie looked at Evelyn with a raised eyebrow. "As comfy as these chairs are that's not what I wanted to tell you." Covering the ring on her left hand she waited for Destiny to look alive over there. Then again, maybe if she flashed her ring in front of D's face that would wake her up. The girl did like shiny things.

Shaking her head Marie could only laugh. "You two are really bad at this you know. Yes, I'm going to miss you two once we graduate but that's not what I want to tell you either." Uncovering her left hand she held it out for her friends to see the beautiful engagement ring she was now sporting. "Matty asked me to marry him and I said yes." Looking at her ring she couldn't take the smile off her face. "He made this the best birthday I've ever had."

Yep, this news was so much better than taking some chairs and missing your friends.

Glancing over to Destiny, her arms dropped to her side as she noticed the 'look'. Of course they aleady knew what she wanted to say. Evelyn had already said what was going on. Nodding in confirmation with a small beaming expression, she looked back to Marie...only to have her expression fall. What? Noooo. It was already a given how much Marie was going to miss them...

It was inevitable. Now, these chairs on the other hand...

...

It took only a split second for her vision to narrow down to the ring on her friend's hand. How could one not notice it? Slowly sitting up straight, and the correct way, the Slytherin's expression hadn't changed. It was wrong of her to not feel excited like Marie did, she knew that. But Evelyn could have only thought of one thing.

For the love of Merlin, she forgot Marie's birthday!

Pfft, Destiny never said she was an expert guesser. How long HAD Marie known her for? Had she ever guessed anything right?

Rolling her eyes, she scooted further down onto the sofa so that half of her body was hanging off. Maybe Evelyn did have a point, maybe they should steal the chairs and the sofa. They were mighty comfortable and they did need something to remember their time at Hogwarts by. Destiny didn't think she was going to remember all the things she learned, besides, she needed real things. An education wasn't real.

Her thoughts about trying to figure out a way to steal the chairs were cut short, though, as Marie held out her hand.

SWEET MERLIN!

That ring was HUGE and Destiny's eyes widened at the sight of it. She glanced up at Marie, then over to Evelyn, then back to the ring. She might have ignored the whole getting married thing on purpose, but there were more important things to discuss first. "Is that thing real?" Did Marie bite it to make sure it was? "How much is it worth?"

Quite a few galleons, she was sure.

Pulling her hand back Marie twisted her ring around her finger. She had just told her best friends she was getting married and all they did was stare and ask how much the ring was worth.

Looking between her friends it was her turn to stare at them for a moment. "I don't know or care how much the ring cost Destiny, and of course it's real. Does it look like a fake to you?" Seriously, what did it matter how much the ring cost? It could have cost five sickles and she would be happy with it. As long as she knew Matty loved her and it came from his heart that was all that mattered to her.

Looking back over at Evelyn she couldn't help but wonder what was going on in her friends mind. "You just gonna sit there and stare at me like I have some sort of disease or what?"

Sierra’s egg had almost become predictable. It seemed to be alternating among being cold, hot, damp, and dry. In a way, Sierra was almost glad it patterned its needs like that. She needed to have experience with each of the spells in order to get full credit for the assignment, and thanks to the egg, she’d done that by now. It would likely end up being the only thing she’d thank the egg for. As she sat down on a couch in the Slytherin common room and got herself comfortable, she pulled her egg out her pocket. She looked at it, having the feeling almost instantly that it would need something.

…and of course it did.

It was hot, which was typical of the spring weather that had come to the castle. She didn’t blame the egg. The outside weather was terrible, which was one of the reasons she was happy to be a dungeon dweller. It was at least cooler living underneath the lake. As the egg quivered, Sierra retrieved her wand. “Argentum Frigidus!” she said, swishing her wand and then tapping it on the top of the egg. The egg began to cool, but not quite enough, so with another swish and tap, Sierra said, “Argentum Frigidus!” The egg’s temperature returned to normal, so Sierra scooped up her egg and made way out the room.
