When Emily had dropped the book Nika quickly reached her hand out to go and grab it, but the other Gryffindor had beat her to it. So maybe walking up on Emily wasn't the right approach? Hpmh. Well she'd just have to remember to do it without scaring her next time. Then what Nika saw on Emily's face had changed from a look of hurt, to a look of shock. Yes. Nika Adler is in the library. And she's not a fake, it's really her. Then it changed to anger.

Nika looked into Emily's eyes, well she tried to. It was hard looking into them. They made Nika feel guilt, lots and lots of guilt. Stupid conscience. "I wasn't thinking." She blurted with a frantic look on her face. If Emily ran away then Nika would chase her. That was that. "I was angry Emily I didn't mean it!" Nika saw how Emily spat out Nika's insult from the other day and she couldn't help but feel ashamed. It was actually a very witty insult, for Nika at least, but it had really hurt Emily. "No you won't be spending time with your friends if you leave me here Emily. Because, well... Erm... I don't know if you still think of me as one, but I think of you as one."

She took a deep breath and began to speak again, "You are my friend Emily. If you have a problem with it then that's too bad because I refuse to give up."

It was hard to concentrate on what Nika was saying when her foot was hurting like this! She was pritty sure she'd twisted it or something when she'd tried to walk. She pulled off her shoe, but the pain didn't seem to lessen. But she should try to forget about it for the moment. She needed to talk about what had happened if she wanted them to be friends again.

She listened to Nika in silence while sitting on the floor, holding her foot. She kept her face expressionless except for some moments of pain where she bit her lip. 'Friend' Nika still thought of her as a friend. Well that was unexpected. She really had been expecting anothr fight, but no. Nika was... apoligizing? Well she hadn't said sorry yet, but all in due time.
"Really?" Was the first thing out of her mouth. "You're really not going to give up?" Because that was the Nika she knew and loved! "Are you sure I'm worth the trouble?"

A small smiled appeared on her face. "I'll always consider you a friend Nika. Your my best friend." Gosh it was like one of those soppy movies. But she didn't care. All she wanted was Nika back as a friend. AND for her foot to stop hurting!

Kynthia couldn't believe how a month had gone by in the castle. It seemed like it was only yesterday when she received her letter and here she was doing homework on magic classes and walking around with a wand in her pocket like it was the most natural thing. However in this month she had realized how much more difficult it was for Muggle-borns like her here. She didn't know half the stuff other students knew and had to study twice as hard to keep up with them. The fact that it had been a month and this was only her first visit to the library was enough evidence. Her of all people who couldn't stop reading even to eat sometimes.

Stepping in the big room that smelled of old parchment, wood and ink the feeling was overwhelming. She didn't know where to start.
Well just focus, and only look for spell books. I'm here to find books to practice not check the whole library out. She told herself as she turned around a corner and into the first row of bookcases and started searching for anything that could contain usefull spells.

Nika looked at Emily and waited. If Emily was really planning on walking away after Nika said all that then obviously she needed to come up with a better plan. But Emily just stayed there. As if her feet were glued to the ground and Nika couldn't help but let a smile creep unto her face. Well this is going better than planned. "Really." She confirmed with a nod. What else did Emily want her to say? "No. Giving up is for losers. I, Nika Rae Adler, am not a loser." On the contrary she's a superhero, but she'll just have to clue Emily in on that later when the timings a bit better.

Is Emily worth it? Nika looked as if she were actually thinking it through, which she wasn't because she already knew the answer. She just wanted to Joke around. "WELL OFCOURSE!" She suddenly smiled and gave Emily a hug. Then the next words that Emily said made Nika's smile grow even bigger. "Good because if you didn't then I don't know what I would've done to change your mind. Let me tell you I had everything up to a plan Z planned out for a back up." She looked around and then smiled, "'Course everything after plan C was utter rubbish." But if she had to go all the way to plan Z she was prepared and that's what counts right?

Gosh, this was so much better than she could have hoped for. Just earlier this year they had been having shouting matches in the street and now they were here. Just like old times!
She smiled, and felt a tear almost come to her eye. She should say something meaningful, but all she came up with was "Your middle name is Rae?" Smoooooth.

Wait. Was she thinking it through? Hmph. She opened her mouth to say something, but then her friend was hugging her and she was hugging her back. This was just like old times. How Emily wanted it to be! For a moment she completely forgot what they'd been mad about.
"That won't be nessesary." she laughed still rubbing her foot. Though it would be good to hear all the reasons Nika had planned. "I'm sorry for everything that's happened. How about we just pretend last year never happened? I just want things to go back to the way they were!" She really did. I mean, Nika had come all the way to the library for crying out loud! That was committment to Emily's friendship alright!

Maxwell started searching the shelves for "Animagus: An Early Learners Guide", by Floriana Finklebottom and "Animagus: Are you sure? It's not easy!", by Henrick Rufflestein. He needed to do His research and make sure this was something He wanted to get into. "There!" He said as he stumbled across 'Animagus: An Early Learners Guide" it was a rather large book and smelled like someone's basement. He continued to search then not too far saw "Animagus: Are you sure? it's not easy?" which He guessed was a newer copy because it didn't smell like anything but books.

Ariana Stolled into the library as she was checking out the school... "wow this is a large library!" she whispered to herself.

Maxwell saw the black haired slytherin girl, he thought she looked mean, but decided to say hello anyway. "It is a large library, one could get very easily lost. Hello, my name's Maxwell." He smiled politely.

Ariana eyed the boy.. "Pleasure, im Ariana. she said, quite harshly actually. She noticted the red & gold on his robes. "Griffindor? first year?" she said. as she eyed the boy further

"Yes!" He said with a proud and regal look on his face. "Are You a first year as well?" He asked Ariana

"I Am" She said... "are you muggleborn?" Ariana asked she can tell when some people just aren't Full blood. She assumed the boy was a mudblood as awful as that was.

Maxwell was very offended at this. not that She thought he was muggle born, He wasn't but there was nothing wrong with that. "I'll have You know I'm a half-blood and even if i was muggleborn I'd have as much a right, if not more than You to be here." Maxwell was tired of slytherin's acting better than everyone else.

Ariana was taken back by the boy's response. She didnt mean to be rude she was JUST ASKING. " My, My, I was Just asking Boy don't lose your robes over it." geeze they get soo offended.

Maxwell felt bad now that he'd over-reacted. "I'm sorry, most pure bloods here look down on those of us that are any less. truth is I haven't spent much time around other wizards or magic in general for that matter." Maxwell hated admitting He was wrong.

Ariana looked at the boy & this anger just erupted out of her "I'm a pure blood and i havent seen or used magic till i got on the hogwarts express my parents were very strict and i am an only child & so are both my parents so i have no cousins aunts or uncles just my parents and they told my nothing of magic till i got my acceptance letter. then they explained everything to me & i understood why i could make things happen sometimes.half bloods arent the only ones who have it rough max." Ariana Sat down as tears swelled up in her eyes as she thought about the life she had always wanted but couldnt have.

how dare this girl think she knows him, and calling him "max" as though they were best friends. "yes, i feel very sorry for you and your more than likely rich pure-blood parents. having siblings isn't fun, mine hate me. they treat me like a freak because i'm different than them. my own father hasn't said two words to me since he found out i was magic. just because you're life's not what you want it to be doesn't mean it's rough." Maxwell's eyes were turning the same scarlet as his robes, something he tried to avoid. but he was too angry. who did this girl think she was?

Now the boy was assuming she was rich!? just because her parents gave her things she DESERVED didnt mean she was rich. her parents worked hard for that money Real Hard. Ariana Just got up. Bumped into the boy & ran off in tears... Stupid Max, Stupid half bloods stupid Gryffindor's.

Maxwell felt bad, but she made him angry assuming that siblings are all fin and games. maxwell followed the girl. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to go out of control like that. I guess thinking of my family just made me angry. I apologize."

Salima walked towards the bookshelf, scanning for a book on toadstools.
'Toadstools...toadstools' she said moving her finger along the books rim 'AH!' not realising that she just shouted trying to avoid people's over-sholder glances.
'"Encyclopedia of Toadstools"' She muttered taking it off the shelf and walking towards the desk.

Yeah he had better apologize cause Ariana was MAD. and no one ever made her this mad before.. This boy was strange.. strange indeed.. "whatever..

Maxwell didn't care anymore, this girl was too guarded and sensitive. He would rather Her just be honest. He took his books and left the Library.

"So that's it you just walk away?" Ariana asked as she stood to the boy boy walking away.

Maxwell spun around trying to be kind to Ariana, maybe she couldn't help being snobby and snapping like this. "I'm not sure what else You want me to say?" Maxwell said politely as possible.

" you just shouldnt be so rude and assume all these things of me just cause im a slytherin. it's quite rude actually." Ariana rubbed tears from her eyes and sat back down.

"I'm sorry, but You shouldn't assume I'm muggleborn or that my life is great just because I'm a gryffindor and i have siblings." Maxwell did feel bad. He's never made a girl who wasn't His sister cry before. "I'm sorry, can we start over?"
