Ancient Runes HW Mia sat in front of the fireplace in the common room with a few of her text books spread out around her and quite a lot of scrunched up parchment as well. She really hated doing homework, especially when she was having a severe mental block. Throwing her quill onto the coffee table, Mia leant back in her chair and closed her eyes for a moment. She had to keep reminding herself that she only had a few months of school to go and she was then free. No more homework or study after this, ever! She pulled out the rune necklace she had made and looked at it for a minute or so before lightly pressing her lips against the wood. Four years at Hogwarts and nothing felt weird to her anymore. And so just for good measure, she gave the rune another kiss before slipping it back under her shirt and picking up her quill once more. SPOILER!!: The necklace |
Minerva came into the common room and sat down. She was so tired from the day. She reached into her bag to take Sparkles out, but to her surprise Sparkles was not there. Minerva started getting very worried where could Sparkles be. She frantically looked around the room when she noticed something shining in the corner. The egg must have gotten out of her bag when she set it down. Minerva went over and picked up the egg. "Why did you try to leave little one?" Minerva looked at Sparkles the egg was shaking. What is in this egg Minerva thought. She held the egg watching it shake. Maybe it was going to hatch she sat down to watch it. Sparkles all the sudden stopped shaking. Minerva decided to put Sparkles back in her bag, but she tied it shut so Sparkles couldn't get out again. |

"Owww!" she exclaimed as soft as she could. Puffles had started nibbling on her hand to show her how angry he was. She couldn't stand her Pygmy puff when he was in mood like this, he would drive her insane at times. She looked up at Chandler when he asked her what something was. Did it look like she could read minds? How the heq was she supposed to know what 'that' he was talking about. She felt another small sharp pain from Puffles on her hand. He wasn't talking about Puffles...Or was he? "Your talking about him right? He's just my stupid pygmy puff, Puffles." As she said the word stupid the Puff bit her again. "Would you stop already" she pointed her finger at the indigo ball of fluff. She walked over to Chandler. "Wanna take him..he's a little irritated with me at the moment." She eyed Chandler giving him puppy eyes, she really couldn't do this stupid fluff ball anymore. "I don't think he'll bite you like he bites me." He wouldn't bite, well only if he liked Chandler which Ness was sure the puff did.. The light..why didn't she think of that, it would have obviously kept her more awake. "So put the lights on." She said bored of sitting in the dark. So what if everyone was in bed. Did that really make a difference? She looked at him debating whether to tell him why she was awake or not. "I..I..erm wanna act like an a...." She stopped knowing Chandler would pack out laughing if she carried on. |
charms Janice brought Egg down the Common Room after she rested for a while in the dorm after lessons. The thought of a silver chicken coming out of her egg has been bothering her for days. Suddenly, she remembered that she hadn't done any of her homework. She frowned, went back to her dorm upstairs, took out her homeworks and brought them down. Then, she shrieked. Egg wasn't where she had put him: on the table. She crashed her parchments on the table and went beserk, searching for Egg in the Common Room. It's really odd how she could easily lost things; her quill, inkwell, parchment; and even a homework. This really isn't her thing. After about 10 minutes searching Egg under the sofas and tables, completely forgetting about magic. "Urgh," she thought, "why can't I just--" Summon it. She had read somewhere that there is a spell to summon things. Incantation's Accio something, you have to picture it clearly in your head. And that's exactly what she did. "Accio Egg!" At first, nothing happened. She concentrated a little more, and said it again. Egg shot towards her hand. She realized that she had not done her homework. After. Excolo-ing it, she sprinted towards the table and started doing homework. |
Still freezing Jesifur entered the common room and walked over to the fireplace. She hung her soaking and frozen scarf and hat on the rack near the fire to dry. She reached into her pocket and felt the metal egg. It still seemed warm from before. She took off her cloak and hung it by the fire too. There was a tray of hot chocolate and tea and biscuits already on the table, she took a mug with out any marshmallows in it and warmed her hands. She held it up to her face and let the sweet steam pour over her frozen face. Delicately she took a sip, the drink warmed her insides as it went down. "Aaaahhhh, much better." she said with relief as she plopped down in an armchair. She took a few more sips of chocolate and set the mug down. She reached into her pocket once again and pulled out the metal egg. It was still warm, but the colors looked faded almost. She pulled her wand and with a point at the egg she said, "argentum" and with a trace of the area to be polished she said, "Excolo." She flipped the egg over and did the other side in the same manner. The colors immediately glistened and sparkled. With a smile she pocketed both the egg and the wand and picked up her hot chocolate again. |
Kelley, ran, freezing cold, into the common room. She didn't even bother checking to see if anyone was in the seat as she threw herself onto the sofa in front of the fire. Aaahhhh.... warmth. Her shivering soon ceased and she started feeling sleepy as the fire hypnotized her. A pleasant feeling washed over her and she just sat there for a while. It was then that Kelley realized that, even being a Hufflepuff, she did not know many others. She looked around for someone to talk to, but most seemed involved in other conversations. |

Sammy had long considered running straight through the common room just in case Amy was there but she wasn't going to. She was going to act like an adult about this, as much as she could anyway. Well... she'd act like an adult if Amy did, which was a 50-50 chance. So with head held high she entered the common room, she had no reason to be sorry, it wasn't her fault, both Amy and Everett are loons and need to be sent to a mental hospital, and figure out their problems with puppets. Or something of the sort at least. |
Frankly, Amy was more miserable now than she had been when Everett had been ruining her day. Because Jack had been too nice and given her chocolate and hugs, but also said that it was her own fault. Now, it doesn't take much to turn a girl, pumping with hormones into a CRAZYLADY. Add the fact that someone had just ruined your day and you just want a hug. Run. Run a mile. Or further. Slowly, the small potato child made her way to the common room, head hanging, eyes red and walked through the portrait and into the common room. Not looking up she headed over to the bookshelf, past a pair of feet she instantly knew were Sammy's, and stood, staring at the bookshelf, breathing heavily |
RETREAT! RETREAT! MISSION ABORT! That's what Sammy was thinking when Amy entered the room and walked straight past her then started breathing like she was going to kill someone, possibly Sammy. So, without thinking, Sammy So the plan was: Sink into the furniture until Amy stops acting woman-in-black-crazy. Sounded like a brilliant plan to Sammy, apart from the fact she wouldn't be able to eat if she sunk into the furniture. |
No. Amy would chill. Yup, she would actually not pummel Sammy's fist into a pastie. No, instead she would be mature and read her book. Yup. She ran her hand over the bookshelf, searching for her old battered Narnia book. But it wasn't there. OHMYGOWD. NARNIAWASN'TTHERE. She was going to have an actual fit. No. No she would be calm. She pinched her skin lightly in anger before reaching for another book. Pulling the novel out she looked at it. No, this was the wrong book to try and calm down to. Instead she threw Sammy's favourite book towards the sofa where the blonde had just barricaded with a firm fist so if it did hit her, paper cuts and bruises were very likely and then pulled out a Dickens novel, taking it out and heading to the desk. She shot a nasty look at Sammy as she opened the first page, glaring over the book every few minutes as she turned the pages, accidently ripping one in the process |
Okay so Amy was still violent, lovely. Sammy didn't even see the book coming, at least not until it hit her on the leg before falling to the ground. She bit her lip to keep from yelling because the common room was fairly quiet apart from Amy violently throwing books across the room, she placed her bookmark in her book before examining her leg. Yep, that was gonna bruise, first bruise of the year came from her 'friend', whoopdedodaaaa. Then she moved onto the books that had hit her. NO. IT WAS BRIDGE TO TERABITHIA. She quickly picked it up, seeing if it was okay BUT IT WASN'T. The cover and a few pages were BENT. BENT I SAY. She tried flattening it out as quickly as she could with a very distraught look on her face. That book was like her baby. That was it, Amy had practically declared war, she stormed over to Amy, book in hand. "Just because you're in a bad mood doesn't mean you can go around injuring books that have done absolutely nothing wrong" she said holding the injured book in Amy's face so she could so the damage for herself. |
Amy was Instead the girl stood up, walking away from Sammy and heading out towards the dorms, she was....uhm, not handling this well |
Yeah, that would work, because Sammy had always been afraid of Amy psssshhhhhh. She was silent whilst Amy was telling her that her baby book was going to get injured further, for apparently it would be shoved in her face. It would probably bend it again. And then Amy started leaving, NO. Sammy still had stuff she wanted to say to Amy and now that she had declared war she thought she ought to ask the book destroyer. Following her she asked "What did I do wrong?" personally she thought it was a brilliant question because she had no idea. She had been used, it felt horrible and she had no idea what to do about it, except perhaps throw her cat at Everett. But as for Amy, she had no idea, both she and Amy were victims in this situation, so she wanted to know why she was mad at Sammy. |
Chill child. She was so chill she was an iceberg. Or not. What did you do?! Amy snapped, whirling around. Well...what did she actually do? Really, Amy hadn't stopped for three seconds and could barely remember what had happened, she'd definatley done the guilty by association charge for Sammy though. She knew that. Most of the time, she hadn't been looking at Sammy, she'd spent the majority of time threatening/destroying a guitar, which admitedly had been fun, but was childish. You...she trailed off you...you liked it when he sang to you! She came to finally, practicly shouting her anger at the blonde behind her who was quite literally, having a *confusedsammy* moment. |
Sammy was generally annoyed now, more than she had been about the book. She liked it when he sang to her? Really? That's why Amy was so annoyed at her? REALLY? That was absolutely pathetic. He had been SINGING to her, of course she was going to enjoy it, she was confused by it but all the same it was nice."So I'm not allowed to enjoy someone singing to me?" she asked, crossing her arms. "It was a lovely gesture but he's an idiot, I wouldn't have gone out with him, he's more like a socially retarded puppy dog not someone I would go out with" she said. It was true, she didn't particularly feel like revealing that Everett had been trying to make Amy jealous just yet. |

SPOILER!!: Amy Sammy couldn't help but smile somewhat triumphantly. She admitted it, even if she yelled, she admitted it. Sammy was right, she was always right about these things, but no one believed her, like ever. Just because she usually made a doctor who reference to go with it but eh. NOW SHE JUST WANTED TO HUG THE POTATO MUNCHKIN. "He doesn't like me, I can assure you that much, he was trying to make you jealous by singing to me" she mumbled, still wanting to give her a massive hug. It had taken Sammy a little while to figure that much out but all the same she had, and now wanted to throw Everett off the Astronomy Tower. SPOILER!!: Amy and the little tell tale Sammy had to hold back a laugh, even if Amy was going off at the kid. Couldn't she see that it was none of her business? LOLZ. "Quick question, how are you helping? Because if you haven't noticed you've made her angrier than she was before, not quite sure how that is helping" she asked rhetorically. The kid was messing with things that should not be messed with by her. But by Sammy, who was a professional at these things. "And you should listen to her, because really, bugger off. It's none of your business." she said still trying not to laugh, it was always funny to her when little ones tried to calm either herself or Amy down, they had no idea what they were getting into. |

"Of course I missed you!" She said taking his hand and not letting go, she couldn't let go of him, she had missed him by far to much. "Have you missed me?" She asked, she didn't want to talk about her dad, she had done that too much already, she didn't want to be part of the sadness anymore. |

SPOILER!!: Annoying child Well guess what, we don't need or want your help! Amy cried exasperated, you are really getting irritating now, so just shush up Amy snapped finally, so tempted to smack this kid round the face. She wouldn't, because that would really lose points and end her up in detention. And she didn't want it. Nope |
SPOILER!!: Amy And now they were heading up the same path again. Amy didn't believe that Everett liked her but it was SO FREAKING OBVIOUS. He might as well have been wearing a sign, well at least until he got the brilliant idea to try and make Amy jealous. What in the world had made him think that would work? Sammy doesn't know and probably never will. "I'm not lying, I don't lie about that sort of thing you should know that" she said defencively. She didn't think Amy would actually hit her, but then again she hadn't hesitated to pretty much ruin her favourite book so who knows. The more she thought about it Amy probably wasn't going to believe her, considering that she was stuck on her course of 'Everett likes Sammy'. Which was entirely wrong because Everett liked Amy, t'was totally obvious. "If you don't believe me you could always just threaten Sutherland's guitar, that'll make him tell the truth" she suggested with a shrug. Then again Everett had probably already dug it's grave it was that smashed. Or put it in a glass case that reads 'In loving memory of Rykor. Destroyed by a mad munchkin' |
