Alyssa walked into the Common Room. "Hey there, Minnie, Justin!! Have you seen Penny? We have a mean game of Scrabble to play. We need one more player, are any of you interested?"Alyssa asked the two of them.

After deciding that it wouldn't be a nice place to do Potions Homework, Janice walked down the stairs to the Huffie Common Room with her pigmypuff in one hand and the vial of Hate potion in the other. Apparently, she had left her cat, Patches, in his cage so he could be 'Finite Incantatem'-ed later, when she is done with the homework.

She sat on one of the comfortable couches and put her pigmypuff on her lap. The pigmypuff, Alvin, as she started to call it, looked around and found itself with a tiny bowl of potion nudged to its face. Alvin drank the potion, and bit her thumb.

"OUCH!!!"screamed Janice. "BAD ALVIN!!!"
Alvin scurried down the floor as Janice ran after him. It crouched under a couch.

" Yeah sure I'll play! " Justin answered.

Minerva scrunched up her face. "Oh I don't know what to do yet. I am probably going to have to end it with him, but I don't want to hurt him." Minerva turned to Alyssa."Umm Sorry Alyssa, but I'm not feeling up to a game right now. I will catch you both later." with that Minerva went up to her dorm room to lay down for awhile.

Amethyst smiled widly. "Sure! I'm going to teach to the 'Apple Turnovers' variation." She pulled out the card try from the box. The card tray consisted of red and green cards. "Well, in this there must be four or more players." She nodded softly. "Of the players, there will be one judge chosen." She pointed to the red cards and took seven cards from it, giving them to Justin.

She took one green card. "Now, we are going to say that I'm the jugde. I take a green card from the deck and I read what the word on the card is. The word is 'Funny'. You have to look at your seven cards and choose the one that, to you, closely resembles the word I said." She smiled, giving some time for him to let it all sink in.

"After all players, except the judge, hands in their best card, I have to pick the card that I think best represents the word 'Funny'." She smiled softly. "The player whose card is chose gets the green card they won and is the judge for the next round."

What! this was confusing. " How come you get to be the judge? " After everything she said , that was where she lost him. He picked up his cards and looked at them. ' She said happy' he thought. ' happy, happy, happy.... ahha! got it. ' and handed the card with the word SMILE on it to Amethyst.

"Great, Justin. Thanks!! I'm sure that Penny will be glad to hear that when she gets here."Alyssa told him.

"That's okay, Min. I hope that you have a good night's sleep and that you feel better soon."

Alyssa looked as Minerva slowly walked up the stairs to the Girls Dorm rooms. She looked sad. Alyssa turned and asked,"Justin, I don't mean to pry but is Min okay? Is her situation with Harvey getting worse?"

Amethyst smiled softly and nodded. "Good! So, you get the hang of it?" She tilted her head softly. She knew it was much to take in, but once you got the hang of it, it was extremely fun to play.

" I have a feeling she doesn't know how to break it off with him. I figure we'll talk about it later when sh gets up. " said Justin.

" Yeah, it is kinda fun. Alright I'm the judge." said Justin as he gave Amethyst one of his naughty little half grins with a wink.

She chuckled, figuring that it would be okay to play with just the two of them. She picked seven cards from the red deck and looked over them as she waited to hear the word "Let's see how good you are."

" Alright then. The word is...." as he fliped over the card, " Sour " Justin said read what the card said.

Hmm...Amethyst looked at her cards: Lemons, Whales, Television, Besket, Queen Elizabeth, and Australia. She shook her head at the random cards she had. She pulled the Lemon card and placed it near Justin.

Justin took the card from the couch and looked at it. " Lemon. Wow. Your turn." he said as he looked at her as he smiled. " Ame, are you still worried about your sister Kyle? "

Amethyst took a green card from the deck and her ears perked up, hearing the question. "Y-Yeah..." She looked down at the card sadly. Family. Family was the word on the green card she'd pulled. She sighed and rested her head on hands.

Justin picked up his cards and looked at them. He chose the perfect card ; it said " kittens " and placed it in the palm of Amethyst's hand as he looked into her eyes. " I think you'd agree." Justin said knowing she would know that he understood everything without her needed to say a word. Then a tear rolled down his cheek.

She turned the card over and touched the necklace around her neck. Where it came from, it was unclear to her. She looked up to see that a tear was aking it's way down Justin's cheek. "J-Justin?" She looked at him with concern.

Justin looked back into Amethyst's eye's and then smiled. " Kyle wears a matching pendent. Like the one around your neck. I got more news from my mum. She told me about the kittens dangling from your sister's neck. You were very small when you were seperated. For what reason I don't know. " Justin rose from his seat and stood in front of Amethyst and knelt down and wrapped his arms around her.

Amethyst smiled and looked down at the pendent. She kissed it gently and nodded. So, the story of her early life was unfolding. She totally would write a book on this when she got the chance.

Amethyst hugged Justin tightly. She really, seriously need to think of a way to thank Miss Wellheart and Justin. But how. "Hey Justin, what is your favorite color?"

Penny walked into the common room ready to start her Muggle Studies homework... but first she had to find the other people...Alyssa, Jory and Justin..

She laid out the scrabble board and left the bag of letters beside it - and now to wait !!!
