Elise pulled Ally out of her pocket, examining the swirly patterns on her egg's shell. She watched idly as the swirls changed color and moved around when suddenly, Ally got burning hot! Almost like a fever.

Pulling her wand, Elise tried the spell. "Argentum" swish. "Frigidus." tap.

Unfortunately, the charm didn't work. Ally just kept burning up. Holding her in the woolen sock Ally resided in, Elise tried again.

"Argentum." Swish. "Fri-gi-duhs." And tap.

Much better.

Putting Allie on the table beside her bed, Elise pulled out the journal and started writing about the occurance.

Once she was done, Elise pulled the covers up and slept. She was dead tired.

Presley was vaguely aware of someone saying her name, but she didn't move. It was just too much to expect the twelve year old to be awake right now. But then the person used her short name. Nobody but close friends shortened her name. Her eyes fluttered open. It was Luna, and she seemed frantic. "Hm?" Presley asked. What did she need that was so important that Presley couldn't finish her nap first?

A split-second later she understood. Classes. It was the middle of the day, and Presley had classes to attend, and homework to do. She leaped out of her bed, tossing the covers to the side. "Oh my Merlin! Thanks for coming to get me Lu. What time is it?"

She flipped around to look into her mirror. Her hair was a huge mess, thanks to her pillow. Presley couldn't go anywhere looking like a mess. It was against the rulse of her life. She smoothed her wrinkly skirt, the hastily changed it after deciding it was of no use. She combed her fingers through her hair, trying to fix the incurably tangled curls. Finally remembering she had a wand, Presley quickly fixed the mop on top of her head so that it lay smoothly straight. No time to figure out the curls now, she would have to deal with it just being straight for today. Slipping her flats back on, she turned back to her best friend. "Do I look okay?"

Indiana was sat on her bed. Looking at the little bit of wood with her rune engraved on it. She was going to attempt to do the ancient runes homework....which meant she would have to wear this thing as a necklace. She smiled, as she picked up her ravenclaw blue ribbion, and threaded it through the piece of wood, so the thing looked like a necklace. She liked being house proud, and so the necklace definetly had to be a blue ribbion. Ahh. Now she just needed to like bless the thing. Thats why Indiana had done this in the dormitory. There wasn't anyone around here at the moment, so she wouldn't look that silly when she kissed her thing. She glanced around, ensuring that nobod was there. Perfect. She picked the little piece of wood up, and brought it up to her lips. She kissed it quickly, before dropping it down onto her bed. Perfect. With a smile, she tied it around her neck, before grabbing pink ted, and skipping out of the room.

''No probelm! Eh?'' she looked at her watch ''If you wanna be early twenty minutes just on time half an hour,'' She LOVED to be early it was easier and got her all prepared for the class

She stared at her and handed her a very brown clip that she got for her birthday but frankly it was to droopy for her

She wanted to talk to her they didn't talk since they got back ''Are you doing the egg project?'' she asked

Presley breathed a huge sigh of relief. She had twenty minutes. She took Luna's hair-clip, and slid it into her hair. Checking in the mirror, she quickly decided she liked it. "Thank you so much. You're a life-saver, Lu."

Presley nodded in response to Luna's question. "Yes, of course, you?" It was an assigned project, correct? So why wouldn't Pres be doing it? Maybe Luna just wanted to make conversation? Well, Presley did too, she needed to talk to her best friend, very much. She just wasn't sure how to bring up the subject.

She laughed a little ''It's fine!,'' She stared at her was she alright? Maybe it was shock from almost missing a class??? But Presley looked upset about somthing and after all she was her best friend! ''Everything alright?,'' she asked

''Sorry it's just weird because we haven't talked much this year!,'' she smilied ''Yea! But it feels stupid minding the egg!,''

Jezebel walked over to her bed and sat on the mattress, tired from the day.

Presley grinned. She really did have the best friend in the world. And then her face fell as Luna asked if everything was alright. "Not really. I'll talk to you about in on the way to class?" The hallways were nice places to talk because everyone was wrapped up in their own conversations, and didn't really care about anyone else's. The same could not be said for the dorms. "I do feel a bit strange, looking after an inanimate object." she admitted. Granted, the egg would not always be inanimate, but for now, it felt so weird.

Luna sort of hesitated a moment

She nodded and smilied at her she picked up her bag Luna laughed ''Yeah it's weird alright!,''

Today, both Orr and Ginger didn't feel like going anywhere outside their dorm. So Orr got the great idea to do make-overs for the two of them. Orr very serious-like pointed her wand at Ginger and said, "Argentum Humidus" while pointing and twirling her wand before getting a cloth to wipe the egg down.

Next she said, "Argentum Siccus" repeating the wand movements from before as she dried Ginger. Once Ginger was dry, Orr started tracing with her wand areas of Ginger's surface in which her opinion needed to be polished. She uttered, "Excolo" as she did so.

On Ginger's part--she utterly enjoyed the pampering as she rolled and twitched very happily basking in Orr's attention to her.

Once Ginger was all made-over, Orr did herself-redoing her hair and applying some lip gloss.

She then picked up Ginger and asked, "How do I look?" She laughed as Ginger did an awkward shake and twitch approving Orr's look.

Pam walked into the dorms, her eyes bloodshot, and her checks red. Her hair was still red, blue, and green. She sat on her bed, and thought about what had haopened. Nate left you. Said a vicious voice. You weren't good enough for him. she curled up on her bed, pulled the covers over her head, and silently cried. Longing for her friend Jez or Harvey.

Jez stormed into the dorms. Nate was such a player! Player, cheat, creep ... She felt like kicking something hard, but by some miracle restrained herself. Then she saw the covers on Pam's bed move. Yep, she was under there. And yep, she was crying. Oh no.
"Pam?" asked Jez gently. "You okay?" She sat down on Pam's bed near the lump in the covers. "What's wrong?" Nate, it's got to be Nate - only boy troubles could make a girl cry like this ...

Pam sat up, and saw Jez at th end of her bed. She wiped her eyes and cleared her throat. She tried to pretend like nothing was wrOng, but her suddenly navy blue hair said otherwise. "Hi Jez. Well," she paused, tears forming agan. "Nate's back with Faina." she couldn't helP it. She broke down crying.

Oh. Pam knew about that. And what was with her hair? Was she a Metamorphmagus? Wow, that was so cool! But let's not dwell on that right now. Jez put her arm around Pam's shoulders. "Hey, it's okay." She paused. "Well, it's not okay, and I swear I'm going to jinx Nate into next Tuesday, but ..." Jez was lost here. Her area was duelling and fighting and making the guilty person regret their actions. She wasn't so good that the comforting thing. But she was trying really hard here. "I saw them at the Waterfall," said Jez softly. "I was actually trying to find you to tell you, but from this I guess you've already seen?"

Pam shook her head. "No, I didn't see, but he told me he loved Faina. And then I went to the Room of Requirement, and yelled at nothing. Just kind of screamed." she said through sobs.

"That's the best thing to do," said Jez comfortingly. "Going to the Room of Requirement. Get everything out of your system in whatever way you want to. Screaming, shouting, throwing a private tantrum - I go there to duel." Jez smiled sheepishly. "There're these enchanted dummies that duel with you. They must be ancient, fifty years old at least. It helps to do that - you're taking out your anger without hurting anyone." Except the dummies themselves, but they had their own defence systems, and they didn't count.

"That's a good idea. Except the fact that I'd probably end up more hurt than they will." She sighed, and tried to stop the flow of tears. "I'm not the greatest dueler out there, and I don't know that many spells." But she'd keep the thought in mind for a later year, when she would know a lot of spells.

Jez pulled a packet of tissues from her pocket and handed it to Pam. It would have been more impressive to create one from thin air, but Jez didn't know how to do that yet. "In a few years you will. If you ever want to try it out, let me know okay?" Jez could help somewhat, although she knew from experience it was sometimes better to do it alone. "Don't let Nate see you cry," she told Pam firmly. "I don't think he'd be unpleasant enough to enjoy you crying, but you've got to make him see you're strong. You can take the punch and come out better." Jez smiled encouragingly.

Pam looked up at Jez. "I don't want him to see me cry." That much she knew was true. But she was very confused. "Jez," she began, "We met up in a hallway after class, and that's when he told me he still loved Fai. But, he still gave me a kiss on the cheek." She touched the exact spot where his lips were. Instead of the warm feeling she usually got, she found herself touching wet skin. The good feeling was gone.

Jez looked at Pam sadly. "Boys are complicated sometimes. Mostly they're no deeper than a puddle. And then they do something that makes you wonder." Jez had a flashback of the Room of Requirement. Happy Valentine's Day indeed. "Nate's made his decision," she said softly. "I'm not saying you can't wonder but don't let him wrap you around his little finger."

Pam nodded. The last thing she wanted was to follow around some guy who broke her heart. Unacceptable. "Thanks Jez." She said, trying to smile. "You've helped a lot." Her tears were less now, but they weren't fully gone.

Beezus walked inside the Dormitory to take a short nap and drink her medicine but shockingly, while she looked at the faces of her Dorm-mates whom mostly are her friends, she knew something was terribly wrong.

Pam looked miserable and Jez seemingly reflected Pam's behavior as she tried to comfort the other. With a concerned look on her eyes, Beatrice walked over to them instead of proceeding to her bed, "Pam,Jez .. What's the matter ?"

Pam looked up at the sound of her name. Beezus! She hadn't seen Beezus in a long while. She normally would be happy at the reunion, but she was too upset. The steady flow of tears came back, as she tried to explain what happened. "Nate.." Was all she could get out. She looked at Jez, hoping she could explain further.

"Nate?" She muttered with confusion. What Nate ? Nate did this to her ? How ? They were bestfriends right? And..Nate won't hurt Pam.

As Pam looked at Jezabel she moved closer to her, held her face and angled it to look at her, "What did Nate do to you ?" she asked. The Eagles are devastated these days. What on Merlin's beard is happening now ? Everywhere she went she witnesses tragedies. Would she be next ?

Pam cleared her throat, and took a deep breath. "He... He was going out with a girl, and they broke up because I did the stupid thing and kissed him! It's not like I planned it, but it just sort of happened... And turns out he still loves that other girl, and he broke up with me for her! And... And..I can't believe he would do that to me!" A story she thought would be locked away forever, easily came to her lips. Tears flowed more quickly now. She wanted to be strong, hide away her sadness, bottle it up. But she was having a hard time.
