Beezus with her mouth open after Pam's confessions had a hard time to absorb any of this talk. So, she was crying because of Nate. Because he what ? And she what ? Kissed what ? Beatrice's mind was flailing more and more at the moment. For Godric's sake, she wanted to blurt out that they were just first years and getting into such a complicated relationship was not yet lain on the tray for them. But..they were friends. Pam was her friend and no matter how liberated her friends were, Beezus always had a ready shoulder to each one of them.

"Ssshhh..It's alright. Pam, you'll find someone better," was all she said, pulling out a handkerchief from her pocket and wiping her friend's tear-stained cheeks.

Pam nodded in thanks. "All I wanted to do this year was work on my studies, make friends, and learn magic!" She said hoarsly. "I didn't want all of this." Although she did want her friendship back to how things were, she wasn't expecting for everything to happen in one year. When she found out she liked Nate, she wasn't even going to tell him until maybe their fourth year, because she didn't even understand her feelings, and figured she would by then. This was all moving too fast for her.

Nodding, she gave the handkerchief to Pam and sat nonchalantly at the bed, "And you should, I mean you better continue your studies and learn more magic." They all wanted to attain that objective. That was something very important for magical folks like them. And very important for her.

She faced her friend, "I know you didn't Pam. These things just come without invitation," And the non-expert had talked. She definitely was not excellent in that field for she had not been attracted to anyone so far. But with all the experiences she had with her family, she knew that trials were always just lingering at the corner.

Pam took the handkerchief and whiped her eyes. She looked down at the piece of cloth in her hands. "I plan to. I want to come back next year. I love it here." She said, looking out the window. As if on que, a tawny owl came up and tapped on the window.

Beezus lied down at the bed as Pam answered her, "W-what ? I mean, come again ?" She sat back once more and faced the girl, "Where you actually planning on not returning to Hogwarts next term ?" She couldn't have thought of that, couldn't she ? She needed to come back. They all do. They all have to graduate together.

And as Pam looked at the window, she followed her gaze and saw the owl outside, "Is that your owl ?" She asked, directed to Pam even though she didn't faced her.

"Well, I wasn't planning on it." She shrugged. "I don't know. And yea, that's my owl." She said, drying her eyes, and walking over to the window. She opned it, and let her small, tawny owl fly in. She perched herself on the top of Pam's bed, and hooted softly. Pam walked under her, and her owl dropped down an envelope. "That's Teri. My Tawny owl." She smiled and looked down at the quite heavy envelope. Pamphylia Barstow was scrawled across the front in her dad's handwriting.

She nodded, "I know," and she watched as she walked over to open the window. She looked at the small owl on the bed. It was very cute. Completely the opposite of her own owl which was rather huge. "Hello Teri," she greeted the tawny owl.

As she looked at Pam, she saw that the girl was holding a letter. She cocked her head slightly to the left and asked, "So, who's it from Pam ?"

She smiled, and looked at Jez and Beezus. "I think it's from my dad." She carefully opened it. Inside was a letter, which Pam read outloud.

Sure enough, there was a small, plastic bag with some chocolate in it. She pulled it out, and took a bite. The sweet taste reminded her of her dad, and how much she missed him. She looked back up at the two girls and smiled. "My dad said if he ever broke my heart, he would learn out to fly a broom, fly down here, and teach him a lesson." She gave out a little laugh. Her dad always knew how to make her feel better.

Beezus listened attentively and much more cheerfully as Pam read the letter aloud. Her father was definitely someone very nice. Apparently, a man who loved Pamphylia very much. "Girl, your Dad's the best thing !" And as she this, Beezus remembered her father's face. The stern but lovable face of--and she immediately crushed the thoughts on her mind. "He sure do loves you," she remarked.

"Nate should definitely watch out, he might even be bombarded with an army of flying brooms !" Well, she knew it was not the best joke but at least she tried, for the sake of her friend who was still struggling from a heartache.

Pam laughed as she imagined her father sitting on one broom, with a bunch of bewitched, no rider brooms behind him. Then she imagined Nate's face as he yelled out charge and pointed over at him. "Thanks for that image!" She said with a much bigger smile.

She chuckled at her, "No problem!" And she stood up.."Well, I've gotta rest now and take my medicine. You..should do the same, I mean--rest."

Beezus started walking to her bed when she remembered something, halfway she stopped, turned around to face Pam again and said, "If you need me, don't hesitate to call 'kay ?" And with that she proceeded to her bed, got her medicine from somewhere inside her trunk. Drank it ---- ... And settled herself on her sheets, gave her friends a small smile and covered herself with the sheet, which what she always does.

ZzZZzzZzzZZzzZZzzzzzzZZz

"Alrighty then!" Pam waved and turned toward Jez. "Thank you so much Jez." She hugged her, and motioned for her owl to perch onto her arm. Teri floated down eagerly, and ruffled her feathers. "I'm gonna go down for a walk. Take care Jez!" She said, her spirits happier.

Beezus got ready to rest. She had already covered her place in the dormitory with her hangings and she was preparing to lay down in a while. She had a fairly great day. And all the lessons they had were exceptionally enjoyable. Now, she can lay down and start reminiscing about her adventures that day. "I've met the Professors and an awful crowd of amazing students," she said as she took of her shoes and socks.

She neatly arranged her things, took off her accessories, got ready to change into a comfortable pair of pajamas----wait.

There was something inside her pocket. She frowned as she placed her hand inside and to her great surprise, she was holding an egg.

"Oh, right !" She carefully placed the egg on her bedside table while she changed. That was the egg she got from Professor Althea Schirmer. Well, all of the students who attended the Charms Lesson had one. They were tasked to take care of it and she had completely forgotten about it. Such carelessness !

Sitting at the edge of her bed, Beezus took the egg and placed it in between her two hands. It looked so wonderful. It was purple and she loved it. The egg was going to be with her now and she plastered on her mind to take good care of it.

With a yawn, she muttered, "Excolo." Cleaning the egg before going to bed. Aside from the little amount of dust it had, nothing was wrong. It's temperature was fine and its texture was still shiny and smooth. Feeling confident with the wonderful day she had, Beezus hid the egg inside the first drawer of her bedside table and of course, she had placed it on something comfortable, a stack of her scarfs.

Tomorrow I'll think of a name for my egg, she said to herself as she drifted to sleep.

"This egg is so demanding Muffi," MJ yawned at her Pygmy Puff. He squeaked and snuggled closer into her neck. He loved his pet name. MJ wasn't keen on it, but it had stuck and the critter seemed to like it, so she left it as it was.

She was curled up in bed, the curtains drawn around her four poster. A couple of weeks ago, she'd nearly got into trouble washing the egg, so she'd stuck with the moisten and dry charms Professor Schirmer had taught them. MJ wasn't going home for Easter, so she wouldn't be without magic again, like at Christmas.

The egg was now curled up in its usual spot somewhere in the middle of pillow and Pygmy Puff. It was sleeping, as MJ could hear tiny, tinny-sounding snores, coming from somewhere underneath Muffin. She giggled. It was so cute sometimes! "Argentum Calidus!" She whispered, pointing her wand in the egg's general direction.

Yup, Presley was wayyyy to awake to sleep. Not that she was hyper, she was just very awake. She put on her only clean pair of jammies. She would have to put her laundry out for the house-elves tomorrow.

Presley bounced into her bed, and sat on top of the midnigh blue covers, cross-legged. She pulled out her favorite mechanical pencil, and her new sticky notes, and Standard Book of Spells, Grade five. Presley opened up her huge boag of M&M's from Leo, and began working.

Every paragraph she read was summarized in her own words on the stickies, which were placed as tabs on the top of the page. She realized it was late, and she should probably be asleep, but she was just so....awake. So she sat there, and took notes on the higher level book.

She recalled last year, Simon teaching her the basics of the patronus charm, and when she came across the term in the book, she just had to. She stood up and pulled out her wand. Presley tried to think of her happiest memory. Once she had it, or thought she did, she raised her wand hand and whispered, "Expecto Patronum."

And nothing. Of course not. She was only twelve, and no twelve year old could cast a patronus charm on their first try. She took a deep breath, feeling slightly more worn down. "Expecto Patronum!" she tried a little more powerfully. Her arm tingled, which usually meant there was some magic trying to happen, but nothing came out of her wand like it should have. She was never going to get this stupid spell, and if she was ever attacked by dementors, or needed to send an urgent message, well tough luck for her.

Hogsmeade weekend... And Erin had made a friend from Honeydukes while she was hanging out with Nessie. Her name's Zara. They're supposed to have her Welcome Back party when Erin suddenly remembered Louisa. Noooo! She had been left in a drawer at the Girl's dormitories. She might be suffocating now.

She ran as fast as she can. She needed to rescue her little egg from possible danger. Even if Erin was really worried now, she managed to produce a certain amount of smile from her face. It was like, she was a superhero. Like one of the Justice League's characters. No, she shouldn't be feeling happy now. If she was delayed and hadn't revived Louisa, she will be in serious trouble and let down.

On a fast pace, she almost broke the Eagle knocker at the Ravenclaw Common Room when it asked about something that goes like...

Erin thought hard for a moment. A Ravenclaw should have an answer to this or else, she would doubt her wisdom. "E! There it is. It's an E," said Erin almost shouting.

When she reached her drawer, Erin opened the handle in an instant but with so much care. "There you are," said Erin softly. When she finally took a hold of Louisa, "Oh my God! You're freaking hot Louisa." Erin recovered her wand from her pocket. Swishing it, she muttered, "Ar-gent-um," and finally tapping it at the egg, "Frigid-us." The egg felt like the normal temperature now. "I'm sorry Louisa," said Erin engulfing the it in a tight hug.

"Hey, Erin" Presley looked up as the other girl walked into the room. She was just a little embarassed to almost have been caught trying a spell that was well beyond her level. Oh, the egg. "How's your egg coming?" Redirecting the focus, and not mentioning her own failed attempts. That was good.

Right. It was Elise's birthday and Gaby certainly had some setting up to to do. Quickly, too, before Elise arrived. She stuck her head out the door and looked down the corridor to check that her friend wouldn't be walking in any time soon, and then ran back inside once she was happy that the coast was clear.

Now then. Setting up. She had a cake - and making it had been almost impossible, since there were no house elves this year and she had had to sneak into the kitchen - but she had one, and that had to count for something, right? She plopped it down on her friend's bedside table and stuck a candle on the top, lighting it with a whispered 'Incendio.' She only had the one, but she was sure Elise wouldn't mind.

Right. Cake was done. What else did she have? Oh, right, the present. Gaby dug in her suitcase for the tiny necklace that had arrived by owl post that morning. Eventually she found it, hidden inside an old jumper. It really would have been better if she'd remembered that, rather than having to search. It sort of defeated the point of hiding things in the first place.... oh well.

Hmm. Was that everything? Gaby made a little list in her mind. Cake? Check. Candle? Check. Present? Check. Was it wrapped? Check. Decorations? Oohh... no. The blonde quickly returned to her trunk and pulled out a few happy birthday banners, which had also arrived by owl post. Thank Merlin for the Daily Prophet, eh? She hung them over Elise's bed and then stepped back to admire her work.

Elise was exhausted. It was a veryveryvery tiring day for a 4th of April. Finals all the way. Trudging to the dorms, she opened the door and was about to flop on her bed and sleep when she saw...

Then she realized. It was her birthday. And she'd forgotten! Merlin, something's wrong with her.

Grabbing Gaby in a hug she nearly squealed. "Omigosh, Gaby! You did all this?" she asked in disbelief. "Thank you!"

Lily stompted through the dorms and flopped onto her bed, kicking her feet up. She stretched and yawned simultaneously.

"What-a-day" she muttered to herself, curling up into her duvet.

''Argentum Siccus,'' it looked dryed but maybe just dry with a towel just in case ''Excolo,'' she whispered the egg looked really shiny which hopefully was a good thing

Louisa was lying on her bed few minutes after midnight. She had to fall asleep soon if she wanted to get to her favorite spot at the library tomorrow without going through an argument. Rolling to her side, where the metal egg Dalouisa sat, the girl smiled. "I don't really believe in the letter." Her voice was barely audible, "Joao said I had to write back in case there was any possibility that it was truly from Isaac Carter. You think I have to do that?" She took her hand from under the blanket and placed it on top of the cold egg.

COLD!

Jumping in her place, Louisa stumbled for her wand. "Argentum.." swish, "..Calidus," tap. The egg didn't really respond. Louisa repeated the spell again, more concentrating on the metal egg than the letter, this time the egg made a sliiight shudder. "Sorry about that, hun."

Soon Viola, the cat, pranced on the bed and made herself comfortable in Louisa's lap. It was her way of reminding the girl that the egg was not an alive pet but SHE was. The Ravenclaw girl rolled her eyes and sank back in her bed moving the cat to her left side, away from the egg in case she got any ideas.

Luna opened the door and sat on her bed and dug in her bag for her egg she opened up her box and placed Speckles on the bed
