"I do not have time for these nonsense," said Davinci in a cold voice. Beezus just rolled her eyes. Her cat was playing hard to get ! |

She laughed after hearing what Jez whispered to her. Poor Professor Lafay. "Oh, alright. I guess I have to be very careful with Professor Lafay," she said, chuckling as she mentioned the Puff's name. Honestly ?! She placed Davinci on the floor and held the Pigmy Puff on her arms. It was still asleep, "Thank again Jez. And see you around, " she said as she walked off to the Common Room. Time to get started with her assignment ! |
Skipping up to her room, Mina couldn't help but giggle a bit. It was kind of fun being a blonde. The change in colour and style had made her feel a bit more carefree and at ease. Her normal dark hair made her feel so boring. Of course, she knew that her hair colour had nothing to do with her really being boring. It just made her feel that way. Plopping her things on her bed, she crawled atop her bed and pulled out her wand from its holster. She needed to get ready for bed soon and she didn't want her housemates to think there was a stranger in her bed. It really was fun while it lasted. Giving the top of her head two taps with her wand, she started to reverse the spells. "Int-ar-is." She was going to miss the colour, but she couldn't be a blonde forever. Evan liked her the way she was and she really shouldn't be hiding who she really was. It was just a fun change of things for her. Picturing her hair the way it was before she started, she gave the top of her head another two taps. "Int-ar-is." It was done. Her hair was back to its dark colour and length. Putting her wand back in its holster, she reached for her hair brush and began to brush it. It really did feel different than it had before, but she felt at home with it again. Yes, it was kind of boring and plain to her again, but that was just going to have to be okay with her. She needed to stop trying to change things about herself when there didn't need to be changes. Pulling her hair up in a ponytail, she continued getting ready for bed. |
Jez stared at the object in her hand. It had a long handle, ending in a rounded thing with spikes coming from one side. To most it was a hairbrush. To Jez, it was ultimate pain. Jez raised the hairbrush to her hair, and pulled down. The brush ripped through the tangled strands, pulling most out with it. "Argh!" shrieked Jez, dropping the brush. It was indeed a cruel opponent. But she just picked it up again and continued brushing. Every pull was agony, every brush tugging strands of hair out of her scalp. Jez was biting her lip so hard it was bleeding slightly. Finally, after nearly an hour's worth of bushing, and then the even more painful combing, Jez's waist-length black hair lay over one shoulder in a semi-neat plait. The tangles and knots were gone, and so was some of the hair, but Jez smiled. She had finally plucked up the courage to really battle her hair ... and she'd won! "Merlin's pants!" cried Jez's cat, Rowena, jumping up next to her on the bed. "You're hair actually looks nice without aid of a spell!" "You really think it looks good?" asked Jez, playing with the plait. "Yes. Leave it alone," scolded Rowena. "You'll undo all my hard work in persuading you to have it up in the first place." Jez gazed at Rowena, a mischievous glint in her eyes. That cat had an urgent appointment with a hairbrush ... |
Beezus lied restlessly on her bed for what seemed like ages. It was almost midnight now and every other female eagle in their dormitory was already asleep. She shifted her position uneasily. Something's bothering her. Something important. Something she had forgotten to do. But what ? She can't remember anything she had forgotten. Searching her mind for anything she had failed to do, nothing really popped out. I have remembered writing a letter to Aunt Belinda two days ago about the Hogsmeade trip. I already talked with our Quidditch Captain, I have visited the flowers I have planted on the Greenhouses and I have not forgotten bringing food to Jordin-my owl, Beatrice thought. But what is it that I really forgot to do ? She sat on the bed and and sighed deeply. The whole thing was making her uneasy and she did not like that. At the back of her eyes was something sparkling, more like a red light turned on and off alternately. Upon looking at her bedside table, she saw that it was her Remembrall lighting-indicating that she indeed had forgotten something. Beezus held her Remembrall firmly, hoping that it would help her remember what she had failed to do. "Remembrall, what in the world did I forgot ?" she asked the ball. If only she could upgrade it so it could enlighten her. And then she saw that book. Their Ancient Runes book. Why not ? Maybe there was something in there that could make her Remembrall more dependable, right ? She slowly stood up, grabbed the book with her right hand and held the Remembrall on the other and walked downstairs to the Common Room. |
Jez flung herself down on her bed, almost squashing a sleeping Rowena. Rowena hissed in annoyance, but didn't move from her pillow. "Why're you so happy?" said the cat grumpily. "Scott's asked me out," replied Jez."In advance for third-year. I can't wait!" Rowena looked at Jez in alarm. "This is that boy you were always talking to in the common room? The dark-haired one? The one you got into trouble over in the courtyard? You're going out with him?" "In a sense, yeah, that's Scott." Jez glared at Rowena. "Any reason I shouldn't?" Rowena shrugged. "I just don't think your parents would approve at all, Jezabel. He's not a pureblood, is he?" "No ..." "There you are then." Rowena's cool stare met Jez's fiery one. "Maurice and Cassandra won't like it one bit. They'll have the boy's head when they find out." Jez's heart sank. "They won't find out, Ro. Keegan wouldn't tell them, I trust him not to." "There's more ways for them to find out than through your brother." Jez gasped. "You wouldn't ..." She stared in shock at her cat. "You wouldn't be that cruel ..." "Try me," spat Rowena. "Please, Rowena, don't. They'll pull me out of Hogwarts, I swear they will." "For your information, Jezabel, I already knew about your news before you even walked through the dormitory door. I heard every word of your conversation. I heard enough to get up here and put that parchment you always keep lying around to good use. Then I just sent the letter off with another girl's owl - it'll be back long before she misses it." "They'll never believe a cat." "Who said I signed myself as 'Jezabel's Cat'? I said I was a friend of yours who was worried for you." Rowena saw Jez's despairing face. "Cheer up, there's plenty more pureblood boys out there who you won't have to wait until you're thirteen to date." "I don't care!" yelled Jez, anger coursing through her. She was on her feet now. How dare Rowena tell tales on her to her parents? "You're supposed to be my friend!" Jez turned on her heel and stalked out of the dorms, on her way to the Owlery to try and intercept that letter. She couldn't let her parents receive it. |
Annabeth flopped down on her bed after a busy day. |

Pulling her hair up into a ponytail and changing into comfy muggle clothes, she sat on the edge of another first year's bed. She needed someone to talk to... "Hi there!" she smiled. "I'm Ellie. Elise Fairfield." |

Egg Journal Post #3 Erin had a good night sleep including the sweetest dream she’s ever had since she came at Hogwarts. She was strolling around Disneyland with her Daddy and her sister Cristina with Louisa in her eggy form. She was glad her Mummy wasn’t part of her dreams anymore. She was clearly letting go of her sadness now. Erin stretched her arms, untucked herself from the comforter and lifted her whole body with difficulty. As much as she hated to get out the bed at this early morning, she needed to start the day promptly. It was weekend and she’s going to make a journal about Louisa today. Looking at her room mates who were still fast asleep, Erin yawned widely. She noticed a moving object at the corner of her eye. She jumped for an instant only to see Louisa bouncing up and down. Was she exercising? “Louisa!” shouted Erin hastily. Worry filled her mind, her heart sank for a moment. Louisa might get cracked. “Nooooo! Stop Louisa! You’ll get crack.” She grabbed the egg immediately. She was still a bit sick. Then, for a split second, Erin felt the egg on her grip felt cold. She swished her wand and said, “Ar-gent-um..." and tap it at Louisa’s shell "...Ca-lid-us .” With the spell casted, Louisa regained her normal temperature. |
Egg Post #1 After Charms, Orr returned to her Dorm with her egg cuddled in her arms. She didn't want to have anything happen to it so she immediately headed to her bed and little bedside table. She looked at her belongings and found her favorite jersey that her gran had knitted for her. It seemed fitting that her favorite jersey would protect her egg. She wrapped the egg in the jersey and cuddled both in her arms. She thought that she should at least named it since she had to take care of it for the remainder of the semester. She decided on Ginger because of it's orange color. As she cradled the egg in the jersey, she noticed its shine getting dull so she muttered, "Excolo" and pointed her wand at the egg in order to trace out the area she wanted polished. Realizing that she was late for her next class, she bundled up Ginger in her jersey and put it in her bag. |
Presley flopped down on her bed, thouroughly exhausted, though it was only midday. She was more mentally exhausted than anything, besides that she was worried she might be coming down with the flu or something. She just felt so weak. And Presley, who normally ran about 8 miles per day, had to stop on her way up the stairs three times and take a break. She probably was sick, but she was refusing to admit it. She didn't need to skip lessons, spend time in the hospital wing, or recieve any special attention. She was fine. She crawled under her covers, fully dressed, and fell asleep instantly. |
Eggbert the Inedible Egg - Egg Post, 2. The day outside was cold, blisteringly cold. And inside the tower you could hear the wind whipping away. It was only a few days after the mishap of the snowmen coming to life - and India, wanted to make sure that her little Eggbert was alright. Of course he wasn't. Or atleast she assumed he wasn't. The air was so cold, almost like someone had filled it with Dry Ice from a cheap vending machine in the Sydney Airport. Shuddering as she felt the cold penetrate her body she couldn't help but think about poor little Eggbert. He didn't have the ability to shiver as she did - or so she didn't know. She was going to heat him up in a not-bake-him sort of way. Lifting her wand she readied to cast the spell. With a swish and a tap she spoke the words "Argentum Calidus" as she spoke the words she felt the room's air begin to warm as though the cold air hitting the egg had been causing the room to freeze over more rapidly. That was not a happy prospect what so ever. |
