" I haven't named her yet," Kelly said. " I was thinking about it earlier, but I forgot about it! I completely forgot!" She stroked the owls feathers, thinking of a name for her wonderful owl. |

So she quickly proceeded to her bed and settle herself. Seeing as there are a bunch of girls talking she decided to take a look, Davinci purring on at the end of her bed. Then she saw Erin and another girl chatting. "Hiya Erin !" Beezus greeted. "And hello too," she said as she faced the other girl. |
"Hi!" Kelly smiled. "My name is Kelly. What's your name?" |

Yay! Another friend! Kelly thought. She smiled and her eyes sparkled. Her owl flew off of her arm and on to her head. "Ah!" she said laughing. |

"Hi there Bee! Will the nickname do you justice?" she said giggling. |
[QUOTE=WitchLight27;10634597]"You need a Remembrall, my friend," she chuckled. She thought for a second on what would she name the owl if it was her. "Would you mind if I suggest?" she asked and before Kelly could respond she said, "How about Lucy, well if only she's a girl."[QUOTE] "Thats a wonderful name!" Kelly said. " Do you like that Lucy?" she asked her owl. Lucy jumped off of her head and flew over to the pillow, making a soft [I]cho cho[I] noise. " I'll take that as a yes!" |

"i hope you didnt mind me asking about your status" she said as she didnt mean to offend if she had. Chloe loved hearing everyones status it was like hearing their story and she found it interseting. "I just find it interesting" she said kindly as she felt she had to explain |
Where are those frogs?!?! Sarah ran up the stairs to her dorm room in a frenzy. This is their first performance! I can't believe it! I hope they don't mess up! she thought to herself as she ran over to her bedside table, where she had a large tank of leaves and water. "Ok guys, show time!" she told the frogs, gathering their costumes and helping them get ready. Once they were all set, Sarah grabbed their stage and music. "It's showtime! Let's go!" said Sarah, who picked up the gang, got her wand ready, and headed down into the dorm. |

For Kristin! <3 It was only October and Ryden was already fed up with school. Not HOGWARTS, per say, because Aunt Lea and England weren't much better, but school. Studying, exams, preparing for OWLs and all sorts of fun things like that. PSHT. It was tiring and the blonde needed a break. One lazy afternoon found her lounging in her four-poster bed, staring up at the ceiling and NOT thinking about the piles of homework she had waiting for her. Instead, she was coming up with creative, impossible ways to cheat on exams. Stop time, freeze teachers, somehow magic all the information into her head before. . . Things like that. And there she was, quite at peace, when she was startled out of her thoughts by a small orange kitten that bounded from the floor ONTO HER STOMACH. "OUF!" Ryden let out and sat up, making a face at the kitten staring innocently back. "TABS. For the last time, QUIT jumping on me, MERLIN," she insisted, exasperated. Stupid thing was a year and a half old and STILL was acting like a baby. Honestly. But Ryden enjoyed Tabs' presence nonetheless. |
Scheme *shifteh* It was only yesterday when she and Dallin had the 'talk' *snort* if anyone called it a talk. Louisa didn't, though. She, in fact, had a sore nose that very much resembled a clown's nose as a result of shouting at the boy and getting rid of that burning feeling that kept annoying her. Not that she was done with her spitefulness, she still had to teach that snob girl of his how to call Louisa's hormones silly. Seriously, who insulted other people's hormones? If anything, they were all the same kind of chemical substances within the body that... ..okay, she was not going to recite the biology textbook of her muggle school - not when she was holding a plastic bag of Frogs-Saliva soaps and sneaking in the dorms at noon when everyone was out. So, yes, she did sneak in the dorms and started looking for the bed that belonged to 'her'. Maybe a large poster of Dallin was supposed to be hanging somewhere? If yes, Louisa was going to replace the soaps with Fever Fudge. Seriously. Half an hour passed without getting any clue as where the girl's bed was. A girl or two would come in, take something out of their trunks or take off their robes before staring at her suspiciously. Louisa would sit on the nearest bed and pretend to be looking for her own book of Charms under it. That worked twice so far which meant she had to hurry and find a wa- "AHA!" She cheered, stumbling to the ground and staring at a book laid on top of a small trunk that was half visible from under a bed. It had an 'insert the her name here' tag on it. Louisa giggled, in a very scary way, and dragged the trunk out from under the bed and opened the lid. Despite the urge of rummaging through the girl's stuff and finding out what was so special about her that Dal was crazily in love with her, Louisa took the girl's soap that was crammed between few clothes and replaced it with Frogs-Saliva one; stinking smell, very likely to melt between the layers and the color was greenish brown. Closing back the trunk and placing the book on top of it, Louisa stood up and stretched. She now could sneak in whatever 'beauty products' to miss beautiful here, her bed was not a mystery anymore. |

With everything that had happened over the last month or so, she'd figured she'd have the room to herself for a while, but as she got to her bed and lifted Lyra up onto the duvet, she heard an exclamation from one of the other beds and turned to look in that direction. At least it hadn't been Lyra bothering anyone, but she stepped over anyway. "Kitty acting enjoué?," she asked, before flushing a little as she'd used French yet again. Some sort of weird French/English hybrid she was turning into, when she was still not really French anyway. Not in her mind. It was confusing, and she figured her dormmate probably had no idea what she'd said anyway. "I mean, was your kitty being playful?," she elaborated, still standing there by the bed. "I'm sorry, it just slipped out." |
Jez dumped Rowena onto her bed. The blue-spotted black kitten turned around to look at her reproachfully. "Don't give me that look," said Jez irritably. "You were a very naughty cat today, Ro." "Oh, ple-ase," sniffed Rowena. "I just said I'd like to meet the girl's rat, trying to keep the conversation going. Nothing personal." "You were thinking of your stomach," accused Jez. "Maybe the possibility of roast rat did cross my mind," admitted Rowena, stretching in the way cats do. "Alright, alright, I'm sorry. Happy now?" "Yes," said Jez grudgingly. She plopped down on the bed, and Rowena climbed into her lap and curled up for a snooze. Jez stroked her fur, and Rowena seemed to smile as she dozed off. |

Er, what? "Come again?" she asked, straining her ears slightly and wondering to herself if she should get her hearing checked. Had that girl spoken FRENCH? Because deafness was not an option for her. Oh. Right. So she HAD been speaking another language. Good. "Um, yeah - it likes jumping on my stomach. . . Apparently it's one heck of a trampoline or something," she replied with a nod, shooting Tabs a dark look. The kitten mewed back, staring at her with those big innocent eyes. Aww, shucks. "So, are you french or something?" Ryden asked, scooping up Tabs and placing him on her lap. |

At least it seemed like her apology had been accepted, and she smiled as the kitty's actions were explained. "That sounds pretty normal. At least, my kitten likes crawling all over me if I'm lying down," she offered, gesturing across the way at Lyra sitting on her bed watching them. Of course the kitten wasn't about to not watch. She was a bit surprised she was still over there in the first place. It might have been the other kitty though. Lyra hadn't gotten quite used to all the other pets wandering the tower yet after all. But then the attention was back on her, and th efaint flush came back to her face. "Or something. I was born here in England, but moved to France when I was four. I just convinced my parents to let me transfer to Hogwarts from Beauxbatons this term," she explained. Probably going into mor edetail than her dormmate needed, but she felt like explaining it all to someone. At least then she'd know somebody knew what was going on. |
Ooooh, she had a cat too? Ryden quite liked cats. They were clean, which was an important part of it, and they could stand being alone from time to time. They weren't as clingy as other pets were. Especially Tabs. Sometimes she felt like he loved her WAY more than he should, but then he could go days without even acknowledging she existed. Nodding at girl's words, she turned to look towards where she was gesturing and smiled as she saw her kitten. "Is it a male or female?" Ryden asked as she gazed at it, tilting her head to the side. It was STARING at them. Was it shy or something? The blonde was about to ask if she was when the girl spoke again and she focused her gaze back on her. Hmm. A little bit similar to her story... Just the other way around. Not that Ryden was going to tell this girl that - there was one person in this castle who knew her story and the fifth year wanted to keep it that way. No need for her history to be passed around like common gossip. She'd probably never get the hang of this 'spilling all your story out to random people' thing that people had going on here. Last year it had infuriated her, because she hadn't NEED any of that information so why waste her time? Tthis year she'd grown up and just nodded along with the stories. It was their decision, after all. Patting a space in the bed, Ryden gestured for the girl that she could sit down. Oh, she was wonderful today. No punching, no snapping, being friendly... Orlando would be SO proud of her. "Why did you want to transfer here though? Is the french school terrible?" |
one post before bed ;) Text Cut: good Ryden :P It hadn't occurred to Stella that her bringing Lyra up was going to actually get the other girl interested in her own pet. She'd just intended the gesture as another way of explaining how she understood cats. It was kind of amusing in an adorable way how Lyra was entirely focused on the conversation, though, even from halfway across the room. "Who? Lyra? She's a girl," she explained, returning her attention to the blonde as the question had been asked. Hopefully she wouldn't get asked why she'd named her kitten what she had. That was an entirely different story, that she was somewhat less apt to just tell anyone and everyone. Too many questions were involved in that explanation. It had seemed like the slight ramble of her explanation about if she was French or not had seemed to cause yet another kind of strange moment, that wasn't being commented on. She hadn't neglected to notice that while the other girl now knew a bit more about her, she couldn't say the same. Pretty much she only knew the girl's cat's name, in all honesty, but she sat down on the bed anyhow. She was a fellow Ravenclaw, so that should mean something for trust. She couldn't help but laugh a little as the questions continued, though. "I've wanted to come here all along, but my parents wanted me closer to home. And no, Beauxbatons wasn't terrible. My best friend still goes there, in fact," she replied, before glancing back at her own bed and Lyra still sitting there like a little kitty statue. There had been other reasons she'd wanted to transfer, but once again, that wasn't exactly something she liked explaining. Not when she didn't know a person better. |
"Lyra? I like that name... I think I read it once in a book," Ryden commented thoughtfully as she gazed at the cat. She really was a very cute little kitten. Perhaps Tabs would grow to like her. Speaking of Tabs, Ryden was startled to see that the orange kitten was no longer in her lap, but rather a few meters away... Closer to Lyra and staring at her, tail very still. The blonde chuckled. She had no idea what that meant, but it appeared that Tabs was developing a baby crush. Hehe. "So you came here WILLINGLY, against your parents' wishes and left your best friend?" Ryden asked, just to be sure. It seemed a little weird that she would leave her best friend to come to another school all on her own. The parents thing she could understand - or, well, parent - but the rest? "Are you SURE you liked the french school?" Odd girl. Best friends and twin sisters weren't that far off, and Ryden would NEVER have left Bridget in South Africa to come here. Never ever. Neither would Bridget until their father made her. Ryden's face darkened slightly before she hastily rearranged her features. Thoughts like that would get here absolutely nowhere. |
Still watching Lyra, Stella nodded absently as the other girl complimented the kitten's name but didn't really question it. "Possibly. It's a constellation, too," she replied, still not really thinking. That was where she'd gotten the idea, after all, even though it was only because of her own name and nickname. Not anything else, which was probably why she wasn't uncomfortable admitting that. Plus, another student likely wouldn't know the connection anyhow. The fact the other kitty had crept closer to her own hadn't missed her notice either, but as long as things stayed calm she figured it would all be okay. Lyra needed to get used to other cats anyway. And watching the tabby was kind of cute. And distracting, but she glanced back at the blonde as she'd spoken again. "I didn't willingly go against my parents' wishes," she clarified. "They were perfectly okay with me transferring. I live with my older sister when I'm not here," she continued. And Risa had been okay with her leaving, too, knowing she'd have only been incomfortable if she'd stayed at Beauxbatons. They still owled each other often. It seemed her new acquaintance was having some trouble understanding that. "I liked Beauxbatons. And I wish I hadn't had to leave Risa back there, but there were other people that would have made things uncomfortable for me." The hazards of having broken up with on eof the Quidditch stars there, even if it had been entirely justified. |

Text Cut: Louisa's evil scheme! It had been a looo-ooo-oooong day of learning and all that jazz. Ellie was exhausted from having to pay attention all week and she was just looking forward to relaxing. And actually, a hot bath sounded quite delightful. And then she would go to bed early and get some much needed sleep. Yawning, Ellie pulled her trunk out from under her bed. Once opened it though, she clamped her mouth shut and threw a hand over her nose. "Eugh..." A disgusted sound escaped her. What in the name of Merlin was that god-awful smell? Ellie rummaged through her trunk but found nothing that would smell so terrible. Grabbing her soap and shampoo, Ellie shut her trunk. She'd figure it out later, because now she just wanted warm water. After she was done, however, things only got worse. She noticed too late that her soaps smelled just like the hellish smell that was in her trunk. And she had just washed herself with that. She dumped the soaps down the drain and tried to rid of the smell until the water had gone cold, but to no avail. She still smelled icky. D: Trudging back into the dorm, Ellie kicked her stupid, smelly trunk grumpily. "Oww, stupidtrunkthatsmellslikepoo." She muttered angrily under her breath. She flopped onto her bed and pulled the blankets over, hoping this was a terrible nightmare and she didn't actually smell so bad. Why were her soaps smelly?! They had been fine yesterday... POUT. |
Annabeth went to her bed and got out from under it, a huge box of different things, she rummaged through the box leaving a mess on her bed and got out the photo of herself and Harvey, her best friend. She then decided that she would desplay some of her photos of her family around her bed, so she stuck the photos of her parents and her uncle, and her friends around where she slept. Then she got out some of the paintings that she did of them all, and stuck them up too. Her bed now felt like a home! |
