"That's a very pretty name," was the first thing that came straight out of Zayden's mouth. Well, it WAS. It was unique and very pretty. He pulled his hands out of his pocket and ran his fingers through his blonde hair, making it a lot more messy than it had been in the first place. "Isn't Zoto the name of that Seeker on the Puddlemere United Quidditch team?" It sounded VAGUELY familiar to him.

"I'm from Scotland," he replied. "Good ole Galloway, Scotland." He couldn't say he born there, since he was born in Chile, but he has lived there pretty much his whole life except for the first days he was born.

Well wasn't he a flatterer. Though many of the boys that were at Hogwarts seemed to find her attractive. Huh, must have grown into my skin finally. she thought.

"Thanks. Yeah, that's my older brother." Danae actually smiled thinking of Damian. She missed him desperately.

"And you're just coming to Hogwarts now?" Danae asked, confused. Wasn't Hogwarts IN Scotland or vaguely close?

Zayden sighed when he heard his stomach growl. Yup, he was STILL hungry. He mindlessly played with his allergy ID bracelet on his wrist as he continued to look at Danae and, once she said that she was related to Zoto, he grinned. "That's pretty cool," he commented. "I'm sure you're very proud of your older brother. He plays really well." From what he's seen in the past.

He nodded. "I went to a private school." Which probably sounded really weird since Hogwarts was close to where he lived. "My parents with to a private school and, well, it sorta runs in the family. I, along with my twin sisters that transferred with me, are the first of our family to attend Hogwarts." Which he was REALLY excited about!

Danae actually HEARD his stomach growl. "Are you alright there?" she asked, cocking one eyebrow up. "Yes, he's brilliant and wonderful." the young girl agreed sounding more like a fan girl than a sister.

So he must be pretty rich. "That's erm, fun." Danae said nodding. She wasn't so sure about private schooling, especially if her parents were the teachers.

Jade was walking around the school, exploring the places as she walked. She had probably explored around three floors now, so she supposed this was the fourth floor. Nothing really up here though, too quiet, but she didn't really mind. It helped her have time to think. She walked over to one of the walls and took a seat, leaning against it. She rummaged through her bag and pulled out her journal and pencil, placing it upon her lap. She then started to draw random doodles all over the page while the occasional classmate walked past.

CLICK. CLICK. CLICK.

The sound continued as Brooklyn walked down the hallway in her new little heels. She absolutely ADORED them even though they weren't exactly functional for her needs per say, she was still rather fond of the shoes. Sure, she usually preferred her cute little running shoes, but she knew very well that she wasn't going to play any games just yet. Not until she actually FOUND the grounds. Which she was still trying to do.

Merlin, this school needed a map or something. How was she ever going to find her way back to the common room? Or more importantly, her SHOES and.. LUCKY FRISBEE. Frowny.

Seeing a girl sitting alone and not exactly looking lost like she was, the blond approached. "Excuse me?" she piped up. "Do you.. well, by any chance do you know which floor i'm on?" Merlin's fuzzy white beard, she sounded like a dumb blond.

CURSE HER HORRIBLE SENSE OF DIRECTION.

While Jade was trying to relax in the comfortness of the silence, a clicking noise caught her attention. Where was that even coming from? She looked down the corridor and noticed a girl walking towards her. She looked down at the girl's feet, noticing the high heels she was wearing. Okay sure, Jade would have to agree that high heels are so much better, cuter than flats, but right now she really didn't care. Didn't this girl know how to put a spell or charm or whatever it was to quiet down the noise of her heels? Ugh.

"I think this is the fourth floor." Jade nodded, noticing the girl's Gryffindor badge-thingy on her robes. Hmm, maybe it was time to make friends with one of her own housemates. "I like your shoes, by the way. However, do you think you could quiet them down, somehow? It's just a bit annoying." She shrugged, closing her journal and putting it down beside her. Yes, she was going to be straightforward. She was not going to keep things to herself or else, she would explode.

The girl nodded, a bit uncertainly. "Fourth floor?" She repeated. "Merlin, i thought i was on the first floor." Or.. y'know. The ground floor? Whichever was closer to the exit would suit her fine. Now, how would she go about actually.. getting down a few flights. Sigh. This was going to be more difficult than she had expected.

OH. She liked her SHOES? Brooklyn liked this girl already. There was only one thing that would make this girl her new best female friend. She'd have to like sports. And like.. playing them too. BEAMSY. "Ohh? You do? Thanks! They're actually brand new." She grinned, head tilting downward to admire them. Oh. Wait. Shoes were too loud? "They're too loud?" She frowned, staring down at them still. "I'm sorry. I didn't know they'd be this loud." Well, not on whatever material floor this was. "I suppose i could use a silencing charm." With that, she pulled out her wand and with a wave, cast a silencing charm. "There. All better."

Right? Wasn't it all better now? "I'm Brooklyn by the way." the blond extended her hand down toward the other.

Yeah. Looking at his face, the guy definitely thought that Daphne was some kind of a freak. Great. Way to go, Daph.

Paulie? Daphne restrained herself from giving a snort. Seriously..that would be rude. But.. wasn't Paulie a girl's name? She'd heard of Paul, of course but Paulie? That was a first. "Nice to meet you, too..Paulie. That's an..interesting name."

Daphne looked surprised when he said that he was new. Awesome. She was glad that she got to meet another transfer. "Oh. Well, I'm new as well. I transferred from Beauxbatons.."

This girl thought she was on the first floor?

Didn't she see the stairs that went down to another floor or something? Ugh, Jade wasn't going to ask. Too complicated, too many explanations that would come with that question anyways.

"Well they're pretty cool." She nodded, looking down at the girl's 'brand new' shoes. Hmm, she would have to get some when they get to go visit Hogsmeade or whatever everyone's calling that place. Then the girl put a silencing charm on the shoes and Jade nodded, happy that there wasn't an argument between them so she could shush up her shoes. "Thanks, that's better." She said.

"I'm Jade, but most people call me, Skids." The brunette said, shaking the other girl's hand. Hopefully this girl would call her by her nickname. "Have you visited the Gryffindor Common Room yet? I think it's strange that I haven't seen you there seeming as we're housemates." She asked.

Merlin, had she really just said that? She was not making a good case for herself, or the rest of the blonds of the world. Sigh. Apparently she was horrible at first impressions as well.

Brooklyn nodded as the other girl spoke, simply agreeing that her shoes were pretty cool. Because they were and the world should know that. Maybe she should just find her way back to the common room, get her sneakers, and wander until she eventually found the grounds? Then maybe she could stop worrying about getting the heels all dirty and stuff. "Not a problem, really." she shrugged.

"Well, nice to meet you Ja- errr.. Skids." She grinned at the other. The common room? "Yeah, i have. I just.. didn't really hangout there long, i suppose. Maybe that's why we haven't met before?" That sounded about right, didn't it? "Although, i haven't met all that many people from my house. Well.. two, other than you. And both i originally met in Hogsmeade." she shrugged again, remembering the young girl and Paulie of course.

Jack stopped his gentle chuckle after a few moments, but held a pursed smile, feeling the happiest -and most relieved- he had since he had come to Hogwarts. Since he had started all he could think about was Amy hating him, but that seemed to be fading now. Yay!

"It obviously is." He contradicted lightly, bending his leg until there was another crack, and it went back to normal. "See?" He said, wiggling it in a mini one leg inferno.

"That's good..." Said Jack, using these nanoseconds to carefully choose what he was going to say. Hmmm... this sounded alright: Yeah, I like it. Simple and, er, not too weird. "Yeah, I like it." He said, nodding his grey eyes on her tie. He was a little disappointed when he wasn't in Hufflepuff because, well, Amy was sort of the only person he knew properly, but he liked Ravenclaw, and what it represented.

What was Nessie doing in the fourth floor corridor? She had no idea but she didn't like this corridor. It always brought her bad luck and she didn't have too many good memeories here. She walked a little faster wanting to get to the end of the corridor quickly before anything bad happened.

She didn't want to ever walk through this corridor again. Once Puffles was almost eaten by a cat in this corridor, and she had already had two hectic fights here, one with Amy and one with Tyler and Rose. This was not a corridor for her to be in. So far nothing had happened yet, but she knew this corridors bad luck was comming...

Just as she thought about the bad luck she tripped over fresh air...or at least she thought it was, because she didn't see anything that she could have tripped on. She stayed on the floor for a few minutes getting more and more frightened, but for some reason she just couldn't get up. Stupid Corridor!!!

Tyler dragged his feet down the corridor, taking each step cautiously, he didn't know exactly why but he had a hunch. The last time he was here, well, stuff happened, big argument, he still had the shoes the little bitey fur ball had took a chunk out of, he'd mentally told him self to never pull them from the bottom of his closet again, plus his feet had grown by now he doubted they'd fit.

He continued down the corridor, his hands casually in his pockets and his head low. That was when he saw it. Either some extremely tired student hadn't reached their bed in time and thought this corridor could be a substitute, or, some dumb first year had tripped. He was going have to help them wasn't he? He sighed as he stood above the figure when he noticed the familiar wave of red. Nessie? No way. He couldn't breathe, no he could breathe he was just finding it difficult not to burst out laughing. "Erm... Nessie, floors are bad for you, you know?" he managed, holding his hand over her. "Come on. Might wanna' get up before you get stood on" he said.

There was somone in the distance getting closer but Nessie couldn't see who. She just hoped whoever it was would help her. She tried to get up again, but nope she couldn't. Her right foot was in excruciating pain. It felt she had just stepped on something sharp and it felt like the pain would never go away. Arghhhhh this Corridor!

Tyler?..no it couldn't be, but obviously it had to be because it was the corridor of bad luck. She rolled her eyes a little at his joke. This wasn't the time to be joking. This was serious, it really was. "This isn't funny" she said as she could see he was about to burst into laughter. "I can't get up" she said.

She decided to try and get up again.Third time was supposed to be a charm Right? Okay I can do this. she tried to tell herself. Once more she tried using all her strength but still she was not sucessful. She looked up at Tyler hoping he would do something to help her.

She rolled her eyes at him, always determined to be right. Much like her actually. She stood back up and stared at him, slightly open mouthed, and a little bit hurt, her school, her home, everything to her, and he only LIKED it. That was like saying, you only ordered a margherita pizza for the cheese. Pointless. You only liked it? She said, her tone straight, though inside she was wibbling. He wasn't going to leave or anything right?

She knew she should of been a gazillion times more excited "something up?" She asked, confused as she saw him eying up her yellow Puff tie. She loved her tie and wore it with pride. She'd even had her crest sewn onto all of her cardi's, even the none Hogwarts uniform. She felt a little...odd as he was looking at her like that. Mainly because no one looked at her, and no one looked at her like that

"Alright." Admitted Jack. "Bit of an understatement, it's bloody amazing." He said, mad at himself inwardly for trying to be cool. He was not good at it.

"No, it's just a bit weird not knowing anyone except you, and you're in Hufflepuff..." He trailed off, trying to think of what to say next.

Good. Amy nodded satisfied with his responce which was ten times better. It is a amazing place Amy said, smuggly nodding her head, have you been to the pool? She asked, before changing track, actually don't go there, there is a mad Professor giving out flowery swimming caps. She nearly killed me earlier Amy nodded, deadly serious.

You must know someone else Amy nodded, eyes trailing to the ground and slightly shuffeling her feet...

AWWKKKWWWAAARRRDD TUUURRRTTTLLLLE.

"I was going to say not yet, but I think I might change it to a no, never." He said decidedly. He would not wear a swim cap, let alone a floral one. Euck.

"Er, no not really." He muttered, his eyes on his shoes now. "So... um... you have loads of friends I suppose?" He asked. "Anyone special?" He asked, winking.

Good choice Amy grinned. She'd practicly had to run away from the woman, though she had threatened her with detention and house points loss. Though it had been very entertaining, watching the professor slowly going mad. She was tempted to go back, just to tempt fate. Except she wasn't mad....

Ah well, you'll get to know your house Amy nodded confidently. She'd gone to Hogwarts knowing no one, and now, well she wasn't insanely popular but she had a strong group of friends and that was all she needed, I have enough she nodded happily. Particulary Sammy. Sammy was very cool. Define special Amy winked, no I dont she shook her head, no one looks at me like that, I'm way too loud she grinned

Jack shrugged, leaning against the book shelf carefully (making sure no books fell down this time). "Yeah, I suppose. That's good, you strike me as the kind of person who'd have a lot of friends." Bright, funny, etc, friend material. Whereas he, quiet, clumsy and moody, wasn't quite ideal. "I don't think you're that loud." Said Jack, turning his head to one side.

I have enough Amy repeated. She wouldn't want too many, it always seemed to her that people with a gazillion friends were always the two faced or fake ones. And Amy tried not to be that. Tried, though she admitted she did speak about people behind their back. To a degree, it was fun...though she shouldn't of said that. But you will get friends, just talk to a few more people and you'll be fine she nodded knowingly, in my second year I barely talked to anyone, but now I have a nice group of friends, she shrugged, you'll meet them, because they are here.

And potential boyfriend/girlfriends for them both...that was the one thing no one looked at her as, girlfriend material, and she didn't mind. Much, but she enjoyed just being friends with people. It was so much easier.

Really? Amy asked, raising an eyebrow. She wasn't going to tell him that just 20 minutes ago, she and Sammy had been running through all of the Chicago songs in their dorm at the top of their voice. That was just too weird. Maybe I've got quieter she shrugged

Though it wasn't true...

Did... did she ACTUALLY hear that? Zayden looked around to make sure she wasn't talking to someone else and, unfortunately, she wasn't. "Er, as I said," he began, "I was looking for the Great Hall." So, if she was smart and used her Ravenclaw brain, she could put two and two together and realize that he was hungry. And when he was hungry, HE WAS HUNGRY. "From the games I've seen, he is wonderful. Wanna get me an autograph?" Well, he was bound to ask that

"Very." Mm. "I kind of miss the school I went to but I love Hogwarts so far, even if I only get to spend two years here." At least he'd get the be the first kid in his family to graduate from here! HOW exciting.

Okay good, Brooklyn was going to call her Skids and that was what she wanted. Good, good. "Maybe, maybe not. I'm not sure, but then again this is just the first couple days of school so we'll probably meet some more along the way. Probably in classes as well." Jade nodded, watching as a couple of first years walked on by. She wondered how it would be to come here to Hogwarts as a first year. Probably weird or something, seeming as she probably would be shorter and her intellectual skills would be worse. Eh, it might have been cool though.

"Hmm, so what year are you in?" She asked, wondering if the girl was in the same year. That would be pretty cool as well. Yup, pretty cool. It was bit strange to be talking to this girl, seeming as they almost seemed complete opposites but strangely the same. Weird.

"Right, well you could have gone to the kitchens, if you knew where that was? It's in the dungeons right near you." she remarked, looking at him up and down. Surely someone in the Slytherin wing could have told him that.

"I can see, yeah." Danae said with a nod, in regards to getting an autograph.

She smiled faintly. "Yeah, hopefully I don't stress myself out too much to not finish. I tend to do that sometimes." she admitted, with a small shrug of her shoulders
