"Yes. The dreaded O.W.Ls and N.E.W.Ts. I know I'll make it. I have to." Mordred grinned. "You should meet my mum then. She was a mean chaser for the Harpies." he said proudly. "How's your arm? You should be really muscular to do well as a beater, unless you just happen to like beating things." Mordred said as he watched Daisy smell a flower. "That's not an ordinary flower you know." he said trying hard not to laugh.

'What kind of flower is it?' asked Daisy, who usually avoided flowers. 'And yes, I have pretty strong arms, I need them for whacking my older brother when he's being annoying,' she laughed. 'Don't tell anyone, but i'm ambidextrous, so i can hold the bat well in either hand. I love seeing peoples faces when they realise that.' Daisy said, remembering a quidditch match she had once played with her brothers friends. 'I really want to meet your Mum now,' she said, 'when did she stop playing?'

Mordred shrugged. "I don't know. It's my first time to see that kind. Good thing it didn't have teeth." he chuckled. "You just gave away a prized secret. What if I join the Slytherin team too?"

"Yes, you should meet her. And once you start a conversation about Quidditch, prepare for long hours of chatting." Mordred warned her, but he thought she wouldn't mind. He thinks Daisy is a hard-core Quidditch player.

"My mother stopped playing for the Harpies after she married my father. She said she wanted to focus more on being an Auror, and of course to take care of us." he smiled. "Your brothers, are they here too?"

Daisy laughed too, glad the flower didn't have teeth
'Did I say brothers?' Daisy asked, 'I meant brother, I have one, Zach, he left last year and was in Hufflepuff like me.' Daisy explained, shredding some grass in her fingers. 'And I trust you not to tell my secret if you make it onto the team,' she smiled, 'but people might realise by the end of the first match anyway.'

Daisy yawned sleepily and flopped over onto her back. Lying on the grass, she looked up to the sky. 'It's weird being so far away from home,' she said randomly. 'I kinda miss it...'

"I won't tell." he said. "But that's really cool. Although, you have to be attentive too. The other team's beaters might make you their target." he added.

Mordred watched as Daisy laid on the grass. He never did that back home despite their vast garden. Mordred smiled and did the same. As he looked at the sky, he felt very small. "I miss home too. This is the first time I'll be away from my parents. I wonder how they are holding up." he said as he traced the shape of the clouds with his hand. "How does it feel to have a brother? I'm an only child, and never knew the feeling of having a sibling."

'Having a brother... well...' Daisy said slowly, 'It's alright I guess, I mean he can be a right pain sometimes, but we love each other really, and it's great to have someone to chat to. Whats it like being and only child?' Daisy asked, she just couldn't imagine it.

'So, you've never been away from your parents?' Daisy asked. 'I got really homesick when I first went away without them, I was camping with Zach and a couple of cousins and I was pretty young. I remember spending half of it in tears.' Daisy said, smiling at the memory. It was nice to be able to talk to a friend, just lazing in the sunshine, without a care in the world, though Daisy, closing her eyes.

"Being an only child? Well, it's great actually. I always get what I want. I know, I'm spoiled." he grinned. "But it can get very boring at times. Especially if I don't get to see my cousins. Another thing that I don't want is getting all the attention from your parents. My mother made me her living doll. She wants to dress me up all the time. I guess my mother's too tired of having two boys as her babies. Me and my father." Mordred smiled as he closed his eyes and remember the countless times his mother would dress him up wearing a bow tie. "Yes, the bow tie incident. Mum ran after me after she said that I was to wear a bow tie. That thing scares me." he chuckled. "She told my father to help her get the bow tie on my neck. Well of course, my dad's a big guy. His stride was longer compared to mine."

"I never did camping. So yes, this is my first time away from home. I miss home, but I think Hogwarts has a lot to offer."

Daisy laughed as a mental image of Mordred wearing a bowtie entered her head.
'I'm glad i'm not my Mums doll,' she said 'Mum tried to get me to wear a dress once,' she laughed. 'It didn't work.' Daisy explained to Mordred how her Mum had made her wear a dress for a wedding and how Daisy had 'accidentally' got floo powder ashes all over it and had to spend the wedding in jeans and a t-shirt, with her Mum moaning all the time. 'And I've never worn a dress since,' Daisy grinned. 'What do you do all the time if you're an only child?' Daisy asked. She spent a lot of time with Zach.

Mordred grinned. "So you don't like dresses. My friend Aurora told me that an older student told her that Hogwarts once held a ball. If ever that happens again this term, I guess we are both doomed. I seriously hate wearing dress robes. It's too stiff." he commented.

"What I do? On weekends I get to spend it with my cousin Julian. But most of the time, I spend it with Chloe. Julian's my cousin by the way, he's about our age and he's now in his first year too with the rest of my cousins in Durmstrang.

*Walking down into the gardens Matty just looked around. He was waiting for Mia, and most likely a telling off from her. Her note made it sound like she heard about his one sided fight with Finn. If not that then she heard about his talk with Marie. Rubbing the back of his neck he sat on a near by rock... waiting...*

She had never been so busy at the beginning of term before and it wasn't even school work she was busy with. She really was seriously considering charging her friends a galleon for every time they called on her for help.

Spotting the familiar figure of Matthias sitting on a rock, Mia took a deep breath a strode over to him. "Start talking. And don't leave anything out." she said as she sat opposite him, brushing her hair off her shoulder.

Oakey found himself wandering through the garden. What was he doing here anyways, Oakey was never one for plants, all he needed was some peace today he had way to much excitement and it was only just the first week, classes haven't even started yet.

On top of all that he still hasn't gotten any leads on how to cure him of his bad luck. No body believed him when he said it was a jinx or curse. It was all just 'you're really clumsy to them'

"Ummm okay... don't remember much of my childhood. Grew up with my uncle Gabben mostly but you knew that-" *Inside he was smirking, maybe if he got her to laugh she would go easy on him. Not likely though. Rubbing the back of his neck he looked down unsure where to start.*

Hannah walk into the garden she was going to do research before classes started.She Saw a young boy and walked up,Hi I'm Hannah Malfoy I'm a Third Year Ravenclaw.She look at all the herbs and flowers.This place is breath taking.

He was caught off guard a bit someone had walked up to him and just openly introduced themselves. OH, Hi there Hannah, you can call me Oakey. He smiled at her comment about how breath taking this place was. Yeah I suppose it is, isn't it.

Oh wasn't he just a smart aleck. Mia was almost tempted to give him a clip around the ear. If she wasn't already slightly stressed with what was going on she might have actually laughed. "How about we take two on that?"

I'm a 1st year Hufflepuff, He replied. Not sure how much I can help, seeing as I'll have no idea what I'm doing. This would get Oakey's mind off of all the bad things that have been happening.

He turned his gaze over for a moment and noticed someone sitting on some rocks talking to a girl. He took a closer look and this looked like the boy who had lost them their 1st house points the description fit him to a T. Hold on I'll be right back He ran over to the older boy.

I heard rumors of what you did and...I just wanted to say how awesome it was of you to give that Head Boy what he deserved. You've gotta treat women with respect, that's what my foster father always told me. He stood there for a moment of awkward silence as if he had said something he shouldn't have. Oakey smirked whe she said she wished to be in Hufflepuff, no one ever wanted that. At least not from what he heard about his house. Gilly Weed What's that look like? I really do want to help you, but I'm mostly new at this wizarding thing, my foster father mostly taught me it's history and Quidditch techniques, not plants.

*Matty took the boys hand and gave it a light shake mostly taken aback. He thought his fellow house mates would be upset at him getting points taken away. But everyone seem rather okay about it. Giving the kid a warm smile he nodded.*
"Glad to see another man who thinks like me. No one seems to respect anything or anyone now a days. I'm Matty, nice meeting you Oakey."
*He felt a little upset that he couldn't talk more with the boy but he would find him out later and explain why. The kid looked like a first year, as an older student it was Matty's job to help them out. And by the sound of it this kid didn't know his rel parents either. Watching Oakey go Matty turned back to Mia.*

"You were right last term about my feelings for Marie and a gave the headboy a busted nose as a welcoming present. Is that what you meant?"
*Matty growled to himself. He didn't mean to sound angry or take that anger out on Mia. Putting his face in his hands he sighed.*
"I'm sorry Mia... I didn't mean to bite your head off like that. It's just... I miss her... and this... hurts."

While Mia was waiting for Matty to explain a younger student came up to him and while the boy spoke, she kept quiet but her eyebrows were rising with each passing second. He had punched Finn?

A minute later he confirmed it when the young boy headed off and Matty started talking to her again. Mia pursed her lips both at what he said to the firstie and the tone he just used on her.

"I see." she said slowly, her eyes narrowing just a little. "So because you're hurting, you felt the need to go and hurt someone else? And then to top it off..." she jerked her head towards where the youngster was sitting..."you encourage the younger students to fight as well."

Mia shook her head and folded her arms across her chest. "I thought you were better than that Matthias. Violence doesn't solve anything. And I know you love Marie but what went on between her and Finn is their business and no one elses. Nobody should be interferring."
