Jacob was completely wiped... he'd just finished up the meeting in Hogsmede with that Recruitment Officer, and was ready to collapse. He could literally feel his heart beating out of his chest. It felt like he was going to vomit, the meeting had secured his fate... but now he was fit to drop.

But before he dropped, Jacob had decided to make a quick detour into the great hall for a bit to eat. Sure Mr. Despera had bought him a butter beer, but he was still starving.

Jacob made his way to the ravenclaw table all the way at the end, closest to the Staff table. And Looked down at the little sections of snacks laid out for people to come by and pick at.

He was about to take a few sugar cookies, when he heard a bunch of yelling, and looked up at the staff table. "Can You Guys Calm Down! I'm Trying To Eat!" he yelled at them. "I Already Have A Headache. I Don't Need You Guys To Make It Worse!"

He had no idea what they were doing, and frankly he didn't care. He just wanted to eat in peace, and collapse in a quiet corner somewhere that no one would bother him for a long long time, And-

Wait... Was that a sword?

Resist... or play along? Well the decision was made for her as the Gryffindor Captains rope wound around her, binding her arms to her sides and her legs together. Merlin... is this what it felt like to be a mummy?

*pout*

Davy Jones locker? well whoever this Davy Jones was Seren hoped he didn't leave his dirty socks in there.
"I... I...." nope it was futile, they would never listen to her.

GAH! Where had Master Blunt come from? ...

She shook her head in his direction, hoping he would get the gist of the message and run while he had the chance.... Then again, he would probably enjoy something like this.

*sigh*

Josephina had been heading down to the Great Hall anyway, as she was rather starved for some reason, but in her walking down the second floor corridor, she happened to pass by a silvery hummingbird which seemed to coming from the area below and toward the Headmaster's Office? Strange. Kind of made her edgy to say the least and she considered heading straight to the kitchens and skipping the Hall all together.

But curiosity got the best of her, which as she opened the doors, her hazel eyes bulged in shock. There was shouting and was that a sword in some of their hands? Oh well at least Seren was here, who seemed to have retained her sanity even if no one else didn't. Instead of her customary seat at the one end, Fina slid into the seat next to the Herbology Professor and gave a quick smile. "I didn't know there was a show going on with dinner. I would have made it a point to arrive earlier. Have I missed much?"

A show? ... Missed much?
"Fina, you've got to be kidding!" snorted Seren as she laughed at the ridiculousness of the situation. She looked down in an attempt to emphasise to Fina that she was bound, and they were surrounded by a group of students and a slightly demented Professor who all claimed to be pirates!

She closed her eyes and inhaled a deep breath. She just had to relax, thats it... just relax. The situation would be sorted out i no time, or so she hoped.
"Fina, unless you want to walk the plank I suggest you watch what you say... or do..." advice she should have followed herself. "In fact playing dead wouldn't be a bad option, wish I had thought of it sooner."

She could sort of see the funny side to thigs, although that could have been the insanity rubbing off on her.

"ARRRRRRR You dog!!! Toothless Bill shouted running at him with his sword. "Wee Lad, YE BE IN MAN'S TERRITORY NOW." Bill shouted still running at him with his sword drawn ready to fit. "THE FIRST MATE BE A MUTINTEER AND YE BE FOLLOWIN IN FOOTSTEPS DOG!" He shouted colliding into the boy with his whole body.

Toothless kept running not even lokking to see if he knocked him down or not. He needed to get to the rest of the battle.

"FOR THE CAPT'IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!" He shouted raising his sword in the air and letting it swing wildely hoping it made a connection with some of from the other crew.

Jacob quickly got up and with a fast twirl was able to avoid the girl who charged at him... at least she seemed like it was a girl. He'd seen her in the halls, but never had he seen her act like this.

"How Dare You Charge At An Unarmed Man!" he yelled after her at the top of his lungs.

This was insanity. He had spotted the plant professor shake her head, but did stop to ask why. This was beginning to become just stupid. Silly kids, they were going to get themselves hurt. He understood when they tried to talk like pirates, but now this was just plain stupid, they were going to get themselves killed... they were playing with real swords.

But to be quite honest, he had seen fighting like this before. They seemed to be moving like they actually knew what they were doing... like they actually knew how to handle a sword.

"Then arm ye self scalywag!" Toothless Bill shouted back at him, this lad was going to learn his lesson...and then..Bill would procede to fight with the rest of the crew. Where were all the people coming from. Shirly a ship couldn't carry this many!!!

"Ye have your sea legs sally." Toothless asked advancing drawing his sword forward inching closer and closer to the boy. "Steady as she goes their sevvy."

Jacob looked at the girl. This was ridiculous, he'd never seen anyone take something like a simple pirate game this far.

Jacob took a quick look around for something to transfigure. Surely there had to be another knife... but then a shiny sword caught his eye. He quickly unholstered his wand, and with a quick flick, the Sabre that someone had dropped zoomed towards him. He put his wand back and caught the Sabre as it flew his way.

Jacob tossed it from hand to hand, trying to get a feel for the weight of the Curved Sabre.

A smile grew across his face. "I haven't used one of these in a while." he said to no one in particular.

Really he had no idea why they were taking the little game this far... but really he thought it had gone far enough. Someone was going to get hurt, and he hoped... he truly wished that the harm would come at his hands. Jacob steady the sword in his left hand.

"Make your move, ya scoundrel!" he offered the first attack to the girl... he was a gentleman after all.

With the wench all tucked in in ropes like the captain had wanted her and Fishlips had assisting by his side, Sherman relaxed his stance enough to look around at the rest. It was then his attention turned to the newcomer, his eyes narrowing as he reconized him as the scallawag who had tried to accost with the captain's hat . With a smooth move he left the lass in his loyal crewmate's hands and jumped down from the table to be beside Toothless as he faced off Jacob, grabbing a knife in the process.

"Well Shiver me timbers if it isn't the swab who likes to swim..." Sherman mused with his arms crossed as if looking over the boy once more in inspection. "Mind if I join in with ye fight...." he added rhetorically loosing his arms and transfiguring another sword for himself since Jacob had summoned the one he had lost.

Glick's head gave a sharp turn to the other tables as one of the lubbers got to yelling at 'em. "This ship ain't no place for the lubbers!" he yelled back, shaking his sword at the boy. He looked down, remembering he wasn't on the ship but in some castle and on some table. "...and this table ain't either, ye wee lad!"



"Arrr!" Glick yelled, raising his sword toward a second woman who'd taken a seat at the table. He turned his head toward the first mate. "What's with the lubbers, me Jack o' Cups? There's three of 'em 'round here!" He eyed them suspiciously, wondering which one of them could possibly be after the treasure, as well.



"The lubbers are after me treasure!" he suddenly yelled, noticing the wee little lad had drawn a sword, as well. He stomped down the table and closer to the boy. "Whose yer Captain, boy? I ain't seen you 'round the waters we sail on." He was a right landlubber, though, Mad Jasper was sure of. "It's this one!" he yelled. "This one's after the treasure!" He raised his sword to the boy and started slashing it about.

Toothless smiled at his crew mate. "Aye matey, good to see ye lad!" He laughed with his crew mate and then they turned toward the boy. "This be uncharted waters for ye dog." He said making his first strike lunging at the boy and putting if full force behind it. "Let's see what ye be made of."

His sword felt good in his hands again, it had been far too long since a good fight between men..or in this case man and little boy, Toothless thought!

Tate took his sweet time meandering down to the Great Hall from the upstairs corridor, but he realized his mistake almost as soon as he entered the room. It was absolute mayhem - students attacking students, sword fighting, Max... wait. Swords?

"Why is nothing ever SIMPLE around here? A meal. Early to bed. Learn something. Graduate. Get out of my school. But no. No, we have to fight. With... where did we get swords?" He wasn't sure anyone would answer as he waded toward the staff table.

Jacob turned his head a few degrees to get a view of Simon... Really? The boy was playing too? This was just Ridiculous.

"Really, Bennett? Yer gonna get yerself hurt." he still had a few more matches to win if he wanted to get Jacob back for his absolute 0-a lot victory against them just a few weeks ago.

His eyes then moved to yet another little girl for a second before looking back at the first. He was going to risk a loss of eye contact, and a chance for her to strike, without his notice. But she asked a question, and Jacob was going to answer her.

"I Serve under Captain Marcus Blunt! The Names lieutenant Jacob Blunt. 3rd in-"

Jacob saw the girl lunge at his and quickly parried the attack and Jumped back to make space between them, He wanted to keep his eye on her, and started again.

"3rd in Command of The Albatross." he announced to the little girl. Why she needed that information was beyond him. But he was started to get a bad feeling.

"Now, Who May I Ask... Are You?!" he yelled out. "You Move like Pirates. Not Students!"

The way the girl had lunged at him... he'd only ever found it when he was fighting a swordsman. A barbaric Swordsman, but an elite one none the less.

Now enough talk... he was going against three people by himself. So might as well, try to take them out quickly.

He moved forward, and made a quick thrust for her arm.

His eyes were caught by another figure... Tate? No... he had to keep his eyes on his opponent.

"Tate! Oh thank Merlin your here!" exclaimed Seren with relief.

She looked around... his presense had seemed to go unnoticed for the most part. But being the headmaster surely he could rein them all in. And Max, she glared at Max...

What had gotten into him?!

"ARRR Lad, ye be skilled with a blade." Toothless Bill replied when his attack was matched with another sword. Bill dodge this boy's sword and went in for another strike, not looking to kill...but at the very least injure.

"I you dog, am 'Toothless' Bill MacKenzie' loyal sailor to the capt'in." He shouted lungeing yet again for another strike.

"Bennett?! Ye be mistaken me for some other matey... " Sherman said with a laugh. "The names Buffington...Sherman Buffington of thee Dead Wizard's Trove," he spoke with pride at the name of their ship.

He raised an eyebrow as the lad returned the introduction. "Never heard of ye," he returned with a look of uncaring. "And for ye information we're thee crew of the great Barnabus the Bloody so perhaps ye should rethink ye actions laddy," he added in explaination, meeting JAcob's forward thrust with his own blade with ease. The man not caring for naught when they were joined by yet another in the form of the headmaster.

Barnabus frowned when the woman smiled at him. Time to pour on the charm. "Be a good lassie and get this chain off me ankle," he asked and that's when he noticed another woman had joined the group.

"Shiver me timbers! Another beautiful lass!"

Wink.

Oh so he was going to be charming now was he?! thought Seren as she considered Max for a moment... he clearly was not himself... but perhaps she could use this to her advantage. If it got her her wand back...

"... You help me and I'll help you," she said as she looked down at the ropes binding her. She was tempted to return the wink but decided against it and flashed him a smile instead.

Jacob had been dodged! For the first time in years, Jacob had been dodged by another swordsman. He quickly steadied the Sabre in his hand again, and easily knocked back the girls strike.

He listed as the two gave their names.... Barnabas? Well... this was getting more and more interesting by the minute.

"No. I believe you just made my actions a bit more justified." he said calmly, and dodged the girls second lunge. This time utilizing it for a strike. Jacob knocked her in the back with his Sabre's hilt...

But a stinging sensation was felt on his other arm, followed by the feeling of something crawling down it. He, turned his sword on 'Sherman'. and looked down at cut sleeve. He shifted his sword to his other hand, and ripped the sleeve off fully, revealing a cut... a trickle of blood, and a whole bunch of tattoos running down his arm. The blood had started to run down the tentacle of the inked squid that wrapped around his arm.

His could feel the anger rise up in him. "How Dare Ya!" he yelled.

And took a few angry slashes at the Gryffindor... Piarte.... 'Sherman'.

"Professor?" Tate paused in front of the woman, looking her over with furrowed brow. What was this now? She was tied up.

Tied up! His staff member was... some sort of pirate booty in a ridiculous game Max had dreamed up.

"Did you consent to this?"

"Max." SIGH. Tate thumped his fist on the table. "Enough of this nonsense. We have criminal vandalism upstairs, and we still need to resolve the fire from earlier this term. I realize you have a child-like whimsy, but I hate to think you also have a child-like intelligence. This is simply not the appropriate time for games."

Seren rolled her eyes...
"Why would I consent to this?" She answered Tates question with another. Why on earth would she consent to being tied up?!... especially when children-- and Max, were running around acting like pirates and weilding very sharp and dangerous looking swords?

Sherman couldn't help but to grin as he saw his swing had hit its mark or at least gotten past the boys defenses. He did have to admit he wasn't a complete sprogs raw like he had originally thought even if he was young. No matter, he had crossed their path and needed to learn what happened when you encroached another crews' territory.

"Aww did I hurt ye?" he jested with a laugh as the Ravenclaw yelled at him. The sailor not appearing phased by it one bit and not scared of the threat his tone included."Ye'll learn I dare very much," he remarked moving to parry and block the offending attacks. His actions quick like a quidditch player but no way the actions of the boy making them.

A haughty man approached him and Barnabus glared when spoken to. Another no-good-for-nothing wizard getting in his way!

"Arrrr! Who be this Max?" demanded the captain and he raised his sword at the man. "Choose yer words wisely for they may be yer last."

"You're hilarious," Tate's tone was dry as he turned away from his Deputy. This was just too much, and he feared the man had cracked. Perhaps he should write to the governors about getting Max a sabbatical. Or a straight jacket.

"You might be part of the crazy game," Tate drew his wand to cut through her ropes in a few deft wand motions. She shouldn't have been tied up at all, but how in the world had they managed to get the drop on her?

"Have your wand on you, I assume?"

Seren laughed... "Oh no... as fun as it looks its not really my sort of thing." she smoothed out her robes, the rope had wrinkled the soft fabric in places. She didn't like that.

Reaching under the table she picked up her wand from the floor, she had dropped it when she was attacked by the rope.
"I do now."

Seren turned to observe the students squabbling with their pirate swords... where they really necessary?
"Blunt! Bennett!" yelled Seren at the two boys fighting at the front of the staff table. Merlins beard! Blunt was bleeding.
She flicked her wand at their swords, transfiguring them into plastic. If they were going to play games then they should be responsible!
