 The ancient schooner stands tall in the dark water, although there is a definite list to the mast and sails that belie its age. After all these years hidden in or around the lake, the ship is in remarkably good condition, although the lower decks drip with water and something rather green and slimy. If not for the age and apparent solitude of the ship, it would appear the crew had just departed, even going so far to leave the gangplank lowered to provide access to the main deck.
The main deck is cluttered in a way no captain would approve. Bits of knotted rope, lank strands of the shredded sail, and abandoned cannon balls that seem to have taken root to the deck would have tripped up a sailor in bygone days. They are the only artifacts left of those hearty men now. A rope ladder twists uselessly in the rigging - wonder if the crow's nest can still be reached?
Just a few steps above the main deck, the steering wheel is knotted into place with a moldy length of rope. It's impossible to know where these sailors were headed, but they've been sailing in one direction for a very long time indeed. Propped against the railing behind the wheel is a marlinespike, a nasty pointed thing that was someone's weapon or tool... or both.
Beneath the quarterdeck, a gaping doorway leads to the captain's quarters. Decrepit maps, a rusted quadrant, and a compass sit on the captain's desk, but the most interesting artifact is probably the old tricorne hat propped against the chair. Wherever the man went, his head is bare. The bed and wardrobe in the corner could give you more clues about the man who lived here, but the best clue is the log book folded closed on the chair - Captain's Log for the Dead Wizard's Trove.
Below the main deck, you will find the hold and sailor's quarters. Kegs of powder are scattered with a few ancient gold coins, Galleons by the look of them, but there is no further indication as to what the ship once carried. Was the ship a merchant ship? Privateers? Or pirates? | |

This was pretty cool.
Noah hadn't waited for much longer; he wasn't even too aware of making an active to come aboard, but he'd done it and, on impulse... here he was. Just on a whim. No forward planning.
HUZZAH!
Glancing at his watch, an expensive article that he didn't let out of his sight, Noah stepped onto the deck. After a quick glance at the other students around, he bit his lip and shook his head. No thank you... he'd be fine on his own, checking it out.
Of course... he wouldn't find anything cool, like treasure or stuff, because teachers ruined everything and had already looked around.
But it was still COOL, and Noah headed straight to the captain's quarters, hesitating at the doorway. | |

Legend did not read the Daily Prophet, but his father did, and that one article about the ship appearing at Hogwarts and sparked his interest so much that Legend had been forced to listen to the boringly written article. It was like reading a section of his History of Magic textbook.
The seventh year stood outside the ship. Not yet ready to enter it. Younger students (around first years) were going back and forth, playing a game, as if they were pirates. Legend looked at them and shook his head. Yeah...pirates would probably take one look at the kids and blast them of their ship. "YOU KIDS BETTER WATCH OUT BEFORE ME AND MY MATES COME AND THROW YA' OFF THE PLANK!" He yelled loudly. They scattered off quickly. Ahh, poor first years.

"Legend Chosen," she scolded. "You'll do no such thing. Not without proper cause." And besides being children, they had committed no crimes. Neptune flashed a smile at the Gryffindor and went to stand beside him.

Legend thought he'd get some peace and quite. Until of course the kids returned once they realized that he really had nothing to back up what he was saying. But he didn't get that. Instead he got someone calling out his name in a disapproving manner. "I didn't do anything!" He said loudly before looking up to see where the voice had come from. He had just assumed it was a Prefect or Professor. But it wasn't. It was Neptune Bott. Who was basically just as bad.
"Come on, it would be fun to watch." He shrugged, before noticing that Neptune Bott SMILED at him. A smile. Was the world ending? "Are you going to hurt me?"

Neptune clasped her hands in front of her in an entirely girly sort of way. Giggle. "What would be fun.... is for you to put yourself to good use. Harming first years is pointless. But escorting a lady on board a scary old mysterious ship....now that would be fun AND purposeful."

Great, just great, Mordred had gone and disappeared on him again...He'll probably just appear from the shadows and scare me out of my pants again. Oakey thought
Oakey took this time to examine the old galleons that Mordred had picked one up from. He shone his light down at the floor and saw piles upon piles of them on the floor. Wow! Oakey said aloud. There must of been hundreds of them on the floor. He picked one up for himself and wondered if these would still be worth something.
He secretly pocketed the one he was holding in his hand and went on the inspect the rest of the lower deck. Mordred will show up again soon.

Maddox was giddy with excitement and she was trying to hide it, but it was hard. She was dressed head to toe like a Swash Buckler and she was proud of it. She breathed in the lake air and it filled her lungs and her heart.
Her brown eyes roamed over the ship wondering what all the nooks and crannies held. "Well I'm going to find out," she said tipping her hat up so she could get a good look at it. It was a tad big for her.

"...Er- you're not going to go all cannibal on me either right? I don't want to die yet. Only 17 you see." Girl were probably going to be the death of him. He knew that.

Oh, yeah. Riiiiiight. Sierra had invited her down here, hadn't she? No such luck, because if Lola got lost, Sierra would be lost, too. The girl had a death grip on her shoulders, and was singing her name in that annoying voice of hers. "Lola!" she snapped. "Cast lumos..." and get your blasted hands off me! The girl snapped at her, and was immediately frightened--her snapping made her long nails dig into the girl's shoulders. "Oops, sorry!" she whispered back as she calmed her fingers. Oh her fingers. HER FINGERS! She really did hope she wouldn't break one of her nails, honestly much more concerned of it than Sierra facing scratches on her shoulders.
Errrrr.
"Lumos? Oh right!"
She preferred the Bubble-Head charm but oh well. "Lumos," she whispered.
The girl immediately had fun with her newly lit wand, poking it on Sierra's back and watching as the girl's back mystically glowed--a magical spine indeed. Then, she proceeded to throw it up to her face and make RAWR expressions right beside her neck to spook her whenever Sierra looked back. Expressions--they were good exercise for an actress, you know. That was her excuse. Quote:

And just like that he shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly and snorted "Torches? Pffft, who needs them? We are Wizards! We got wands!"
He looked back at the other younguns that are now on the lower deck, the bubbly one now nervously singing Sierra's name and Ellie talking about sinking ships. "Relax kids, this ship wont sink-- cuz if it did we gonna drag the Headmaster down with us."
Such a reassuring thought. "GUNPOWDER?"
She sniffed, another deep inhale, suddenly thinking about guns.

There was something about her that reminded him of Neptune, perhaps they both had that royalty air to them or something remotely similar. They weren't too much alike, because Neptune was all about grace, and wasn't loud. This girl seemed to lack a bit of grace, and WAS loud, or had been, up there.
Either way, he turned to look at her as she spoke, and shook his head, "Just cover your nose with some fabric, robes, or anything," he knew the theory to the charm, the practical part he hadn't succeeded in. Except...if it managed to keep the girl quiet, he might as well teach her how. If she didn't succeed, it wasn't his fault. WHO WAS THIS BOY WHO WAAAASSSS THIS BOOOY?
Lola was meeting a lot of people from Sierra in this little ship journey they were doing. And for that, she would forever be grateful to the second year girl. She had waved her wand around his face, the bright light still emanating out and she pointed it out to him until she got a goooooood look.
Of course, he was talking to her.
And of course, like the girl before, she immediately thought this was a sly way to befriend her.
She couldn't follow his directions because as of the moment, she was trying her very best to get a good grip on both girls walking with here (if she had a third arm, she definitely would hold his hand too) and so, her nose was helpless, facing the odor. But on a happier note, she gladly stated, "You can be my friend too, daaaaaahhhling, don't worry!"
She cocked her head, trying to look everywhere where she could see something unusual or special about the cool, little ship.

"I guess." She was right. Yup. Absolutely right. "You have a butler? So do I! Well...he's more like my step-brother but same thing really." It really was the same thing when you thought about it.
Legend looked down over the edge of the ship. Ways to move it? "Er..I'm brilliant and amazing but not that brilliant and amazing. Plus, I'm not doing Tate any favors." 15 POINTS! He would never forget that. Not that he really cared but...he could still hold a grudge.

Walking down a small flight of stairs and noticing a large door, Kurumi pointed to it and looked over her shoulder at Eino. “ Do you suppose that’s it?” she asked. “ I once saw a movie where some ponies were trying to tickle a very large spider with some sort of plant. It has a long and narrow stem and the tip of it is brown and fluffy,” Kurumi explained starching the back of her head nervously. “ Perhaps there is something in here that we can use to try and tickle the giant squid to let the boat go? Then we can finish the mission that the captain and his crew couldn’t…”
Unless…they were still on the boat as ghosts! Kurumi’s face when white as a sheet as she reached out for the door’s handle. “ Y-Y-You don’t suppose this boat is…is…is…cursed do you?”

Neptune raised her hand to cover her giggle. She knew EXACTLY what he meant! EXACTLY. Save for that step sibling part. "I didn't think you the type to have a butler, but I suppose it does make sense." She brightened at the thought of someone else that understood the importance of a good butler.
"Mmm. I think you should try. I promise to still be impressed if you fail."

Legend was confused. Neptune said confusing things in general but he was really confused now. "What do you mean by that?" By BOTH things. He wasn't the type to have a butler? And it made sense?
"Fine." Legend sighed. His jaw tensing up a bit.
How could he move a boat?
He took out his wand, pointing it at the broken crack in the boat before yelling saying "Depulso!" VANISH! VANISH. But nothing. The white light shot out of his wand and disappeared into the vast unknown of the boat. Nothing. He frowned. "Why'd you make me do that for?" Legend said bitterly crossing his arms. She had just made him embarrass himself.

Septimus inspected the ship with curious eyes. He had read in the Prophet this ship had shown up out of nowhere. He couldn't help but be paranoid: his father owned many ships. Just looking at it made him think of his family, in other words almost making him throw up. As far as he knew, all his father's ships had Italian names, but a lot had probably changed since he last saw him. Septimus just stood there looking a sickly green. If this isn't my father's, he thought, then whose is it? | |
