Your mind dwells on the clues at hand as you wander down towards the lake. Why would this last clue lead you here? What could possibly be found?
Just around the bend, you catch a glimpse of something colorful. Curious, you dwell deeper through the trees now following the wonderful smell of vegetation and the sound of rushing water until suddenly you are cut short by the spectacular view before you.
There, hidden from the world is a beautiful tropical lagoon. Clear blue water laps up at the small beach, bordered by lush ferns and tall, swaying palm trees. Rocky easily climbable out-croppings frame the lagoon's clear water, punctuated by a gentle waterfall that slopes in such a way that your first mischievous thought is how it could easily be used as a "water slide."
As you get closer, you see algae covered tridents washed up on the shore along with what looks like scaled armor covered in barnacles. Here and there float sea shell brassieres, conch shell horns, and an old fishing net tangled among the rocks beside forgotten coral jewelry. Your mind hurries to connect the dots and it is then that you realize that this must be an abandoned merfolk dwelling of some sort.
Filled with interest you venture out of the vegetation, and give a start as you notice the head boy Finlay Carmicheal and head girl Iris Beaumont.
They smile at you in welcome.
Congratulations, for this is indeed the end of your search.

It was a pity she didn't have anything to tie it back with... she didn't want to ruin her ribbons.
"Iris! Aren't you coming in? The water is WONDERFUL!" she shouted, floating on her back. "You too Aaron!" she yelled at mummy and daddy snake, beckoning.
As Aurora came back up the surface, Iris gave her a look of complete shock. (Well, more like ) How on EARTH did she old her breath for THAT long underwater??? Crazy child... It must be the hair.

Selina nodded at the boy who seemed to drop the subject fairly quickly. She appreciated that he was so sweet about it. In fact she was quite curious as to why she had never spoken to him before. But that was beside the point of their conversation, "Please to meet you Conan, I'm Selina. Unless I already said that. Right well anyway I'm Selina."
When he asked her about Quidditch her eyes brightened slightly from the dull blue they were right at that moment, "Chaser. I love Quidditch, a lot. You know it is just like nothing in the world."
Conan giggled, and shook his head, "You didn't say. But nice to meet you Selina." She was funny. He liked her already. "I'm a second year. What year are in?" He couldn't really tell ages. But she didn't look much older than him.
He shrugged, "I don't really know about it. I am trying to learn though. My friend Ellie has taught me a lot. I tried out for seeker though, this year." He could talk more about it though. He wanted to impress her with some of his knowledge.

As Iris left him and Selina seemed to have found a companion closer her age she seemed ok to be around, Simon looked around for more familiar faces as he debated what to do first. He came across Josh but almost just as the other Gryffindor spotted his girlfriend and rushed to her so that was another one out. Guess he would just have to strike out on his own to avoid being the third wheel or bothering anyone who didn't want to be bothered. For not the first time he missed Kyle since they tended to stick together at times like this. Pushing sadder thoughts away, he smiled and started to wander to explore the lagoon for all it held within its abandoned nature.
Cove was wandering the grounds and came across the lagoon. She saw some people in it and thought, Yes! More places to swim! Since she wasn't paying much attention to where she was walking she ended up bumping into Simon. Uh-oh. "I'm sorry! I wasn't paying attention." Cove said taking a step back. Since when am I ever paying attention though? God, she was stupid.

Iris sighed as she watched the First year... really was an odd one, that kid was...
"You're such a spoilsport!" she said, turning a somersault under the water. "I dare you!" she flicked a little water in Iris' direction.
She swam around a bit and, when she got a little tired, decided to just lie there on her back, floating and letting the water support her skinny frame as she closed her eyes a little. She hummed her little tune that she had written about those flowers quietly as she stared at the inside of her eyelids. When she opened her eyes she saw that she had been floated towards a rocky crag near the water...fall? slide? Whatever it was, it looked FUN!!! She deftly climbed out of the pool, scraping her right hand a little on the rock and made her way to the top of the waterfall. Ooooh, this was going to be fun! She sat at the top and pushed herself off "GERONIMOOOO!!!!!!!" she yelled as she slid down the waterfall and landed SPLASH into the water. She swam under water for a bit then dragged herself out of the lagoon to lie down by the side of it, grinning in the April sun.
For someone who usually likes being alone she was really missing her old friends. They'd have loved it here. So would Krys... The smile on her face faded as she wondered how he was; she hadn't had a letter in ages... Hopefully no news was good news... She closed her eyes and tucked her hands beneath her head. It was risky; being out in the sunlight with skin as pale as hers but she really didn't care...

"I won't fight, but I do plan on racing them to the rope swing." Arya grinned, like she would really fight the students over the rope swing. It would totally ruin the entire event.
Heh. "Of course," How could she forget about the girl's boyfriend? It did sadden her a bit, the small reminder that Sabel wasn't here to enjoy this with her as well, but she didn't dwell on it. The huffie prefect still had her best friends and... well everyone else to swim and have fun with.

Wait. With a sheepish smile at her friend, Ivory shrugged her slim shoulders. She could've sworn she'd mentioned him...but then again she hadn't really talked to him since the beginning of term. She'd totally have to explain that to Arya later and poke her about her smirks.
But for now she'd link her arms with her best friend and smile. "Just like us." she affirmed with a nod. "Aaand just like us I hope you plan to get wet." With a wicked gleam in her eye that spoke of probable mischievousness later, she pulled off her sunglasses and stuffed them in her beach bag.
Eyes glancing up as it seemed everyone one else finally caught up to the lagoon, the fifth year let out an excited laugh at Iris's announcement and kicked off her sandals."Alright then, lets get this shindig started!"
Shimmying out of her shorts and leaving her beach bag and sandals at the edge of the water, Ivory turned to wave at her companions. "Come on! Last one in's a rotten egg." And with that she ran across the sand her every plan on climbing the outcroppings of rocks and cannon-balling into the crystal clear water.

He took his sunglasses from the back of his head and dropped them on his shoes just as Ivory took off.
Glancing at Arya, Dal half-smiled. "Shall we?" he nodded toward Ivory before jogging after her. He climbed up the rocks, standing on the top and looking down at the invitingly-blue water. "See ya," he said with a wink before diving into the water.
Arya grinned at Ivory with a shocked short of look. "Of course I came to get wet! I woudn't be wearing this if I didn't wanna explore the waters." She motioned to her black two-piece with her free hand.
"I think we shall," Kicking off her sandals she followed after the two claws, she climbed the rocks and grinned wildly before diving into the blue waters.

Simon had paused in his exploring to simply watch things as the first brave souls partook of the beautiful water. It really was inticing and the captain was debating joining in when his thoughts were interrupted as he was bumped into from behind. The action causing an involuntary step forward before he turned around as the culprit spoke appologetically.
"No..no its alright," he assured her. "I was day-dreaming a little myself," the older Gryffindor admitted. "At least its something worthy getting your attention..hmm?"
Jacob had waited at the lake for all the students to get safely across the lily pads... of course Simon didn't care for the students safety and left him alone, but that's fine.
He finally flew in on the broom, since he didn't feel like putting it back before getting here. and as he came through and into the open Lagoon area, He went into a dive right into the water.
SPLASH!
A huge wave erupted from where he entered, probably raining down on the students, but he wouldn't know since he was submerged.
Jacob then flew back out of the water. "Why Is That Water So Wet?!" He yelled grabbing a handful of robe and twisting it to let the water out.

Cove did a 'heheh'. "I was thinking about how there is another spot for swimming." She said. "You gonna go in?" She asked him. Cove always had her bathing suit on under her regular clothes.

"Mhmhm...yeah especially when it gets warmer and more are out," Simon agreeded. He was about to answer further then he felt something or rather someone wiz past him ending up in the lagood. It was only when the sixth year surfaced that he registered that it was Jacob who had dived in on his broom.
"Its always wet, you nut," Simon yelled back shaking his head with a laugh. "Thats why its called water and not ice or steam."
Lexi was CURIOUS. Very curious about why everyone was treading through some bushes and stuff down to... a place she had no idea what was beyond. So she did what any good Gryffindor would do and FOLLOWED. Hehehe.
She stepped through the last of the underbrush and her breath caught in her throat. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL. A beach and a lagoon and ALL KINDS OF STUFF. WIN!
Pulling out her wand she sighed just a tad as this place reminded her of her summer traipsing through Greece with Sal... SIGHS FOR LIFE.
A quick summoning charm and she caught the handle of her beach bag as it came zooming to her. She went in search of a place to change and emerged as such...minus the snake Sliding her shades into place she glimpsed Sal and couldn't help but to smile weakly at him as she walked past toward the water's edge.

She had never seen someone do that. "I have seen crazy things, but I have never seen anyone do that." That was so awesome.

Macy looked up as a boy flew in on a broom, sending water splashing all over her and half the population of the lagoon. GAAAAAH!! D: She was WEEEET. Which really wasn't that big of a deal, since she'd been planning on it anyways however, this had been unexpected.
"It's water! And it gets other people wet too, not just yourself!!" she yelled back. Though truth be told, the girl was grinning under all that soaked-ness.
She ran out towards the lagoon, diving into it at full speed. YEEEHOOOOO. Ahhhh, that felt good. And of course, Macy being the smart person she was had forgotten to take her t-shirt off... Oh well. It would dry. She'd also come up right next to 'Captain Obvious'. "You are aware that this is a lagoon, right?" she asked with a smirk.

Why did she have to sit here alone with Finn?! Out of everyone, it had to be him. The Head Girl had sat herself away from him while she was waiting for the students to get here. Iris stood up as she saw a group of three students make their way in. It was Snakes! ... and a Badger. Brilliant!
She smiled at the three, amused by their awed expressions. Lola really was insane. Her exploration of the lagoon should be amusing. Iris waved at them. "Hello!"
SPOILER!!: Salander and his partner
Not soon after, Salander and a Hufflepuff came through the clearing. Who were the best? The Slytherpuffs. She grinned at the boys question. "Yeah... Still in Hogwarts! It's a bit hard to believe, though..." Yup. Even Iris didn't believe it at first.
SPOILER!!: Orlando and Ryden
Oooh! And here comes some of the Badgers and Lions! Straight off the Lilypads. Iris grinned and waved at them both as they looked around in complete awe. The Head Girl made a mental note of the first groups into the Lagoon, and then wandered over to the edge of the lagoon water. How long would she have to wait before Aaron and Treyen... but mostly Aaron, got here, too?
Iris already had her swimwear on under her shorts and tank top, but none of these students here were dressed accordingly for the occasion... As none of them knew this was where they were going to end up. Looking back to the students that were there, Iris grinned again. Then she glanced at Finn, in a way that asked if they should tell them about the need to transfigure their clothes into swimsuits.
Now, time to address the students! "It's amazing, isn't it?" She said, walking to stand next to Finn. "Obviously none of you have your swimming costumes with you right now -" unless you're a weirdo named Lola. Then I wouldn't be surprised if you carried it around with you all the time. " - so you're gonna need to get some from somewhere. Over here is two trunks. One's got loads of swimwear for guys in, the other for girls. Have a root through those and find something that you'd wear." Iris paused, checking to see if there were any unimpressed faces. "Don't worry. I've made sure that there's something in there to cover every taste and style, and they're charmed to shrink or stretch to fit you perfectly."
"There's a changing tent over there - hidden by all the trees - where you can go and quickly change. Your clothes will be safe in there until you choose to change back." The Head Girl nodded. "Alternatively, if you're comfortable with your transfiguration skills, you can simply transfigure what you're wearing now into a swimsuit."
Giving Finn a glance, Iris frowned in concentration. "I've not missed anything, have I? Oh! Yeah. Have fun! Explore! Try not to drown, because I'm not jumping in after you!" Yup... That was just about it. Finn would probably still be able to think of something that Iris missed, though.
OOC:
There's no incantation for the transfiguration mentioned. If you choose to do that, just RP your character "doing" it without saying the incantation.
Make sure that your swimwear is SS appropriate AND age appropriate (e.g, no First Years in very skimpy bikinis!).
Also, if you're going to link, make sure it's to Polyvore or Photobucket or something similar!
We're going to wait for a few more groups of students to get here before opening the other threads.
Most importantly, HAVE FUN WITH THIS!
So they were still in Hogwarts! Salander looked around, so captivated by the beauty that reminded him of one of the happiest time in his life. "Its a paradise Iris.... Thank you, for sharing this with everbody. " yes he thanked her, even if to him the lagoon represented something very bittersweet than awe inspiring.
He neared the trunk and fished out something to wear for the warmer climate. He didnt quite like any of them-- too festive for his rather blue mood. He walked over to the changing area and decided to transfigure his own clothes. He looked down at himself when he was done-- and sighed at the irony, it was the blue boardshorts and tshirt he wore when he was in Greece. He even had the hat. Siiiigh obviously his own brain is tormenting him now.

It was Lexi. She was walking by the shoreline.
His first instinct was to run out and hug her but stopped short. What if she gets angry? She could start yelling at him in front of all the other students and humiliate him. But even if a small part of him wanted to run the opposite direction, his feet stayed rooted at the spot. Then he caught her smile...
-- she smiled. At him. That... was good innit?
His legs started thinking for itself and brought him closer, and next thing he knew, he was walking alongside her by the shore "H-Hi Lexi." he greeted her meekly, smiling shyly as he added "You look great." well heck she always did, but she was in her swimsuit and last he saw her in that they were in much different moods. He wanted to say something more but decided to keep his mouth shut. Wouldnt do well to press his luck too much.

Lexi stood with her hands on her hips just staring at the water, head down and feeling pretty low... She felt Sal's presence and wanted to turn and hug him just to feel his skin, but she stopped herself. She had to stick to her resolve somewhat.
"Hey bab... Sal," she responded as she looked over at him through her lashes and smiled slightly once more. Mostly out of habit she reached out to take his hand...and almost stopped herself, but with a small sigh escaping her lips she held her hand out in an offer for him to take if he so chose to do so. Old habits die hard? No. She longed to hold his hand and walk a while.
"Thanks. You do, too. Blue has always looked great on you," she said quietly and then chewed on her lip. "Let me s-s-start by offering you a big apology. I shouldn't...I shouldn't have blown up on you like that. And... I didn't mean what I said...and I feel wretched about slapping you like that... can you forgive me?" she blurted out on one breath and then sucked in a big gulp of air. She turned her head away, but kept her hand out for him. Hope. She had it.

So there. That's why the boy was Gryffindor and not Ravenclaw. Logic was obviously not a Gryffindor's best trait

Suddenly a girl popped up next to him. "I don't know, It looks more like a pool of mattresses to me." he said in a sarcastic voice. Of course he knew it's a lagoon, Jacob had helped with the event for these ungrateful little brats.
Jacob then flew back to shore... the broom needed to dry, and he couldn't dry it with magic it could wear at the charms that were already present... it had to dry in the April sun.
So he landed and set the broom down before he laid down next to it.
Jacob then pulled out his wand and dried his robes, before putting it back in the holster. Jacob then pulled a Fedora hat, out of Merlin knows where... Jacob didn't even know where he had kept it... but there it was. And he placed it on his face, now ready to take a little nap. Jacob put his hands behind his head and attempted to to get a nice rest.

The Gryffindor captain rolled his eyes as Jacob yelled back arguing semantics about the properties of the three stages of water. So what if he was a little off, he had been trying to make a point of how silly it had been to think it wouldn't be so wet, or appear as if he had thought it. For all they knew he had been pulling everyone's leg the whole time.
Simon watched as he get take care of his now wet broom, his own safe back in a safe place. At the appearance of a fedora, he couldn't help but raise an eyebrow, holding back a chuckle as Jacob placed it over his face. Glancing briefly as Cove, he walked quietly closer, leaning down and gingerly picking it up into his hands as he straightened.
"What's with you and hats lately? " he asked curiously inspecting what he held in his hand. "Though I might have to say this one might fits you better then the captain's hat," he added with a casual shrug before twirling it on his finger.

"Who you calling a nut! Steam and Ice is still moisture... Meaning it's wet, too"
So there. That's why the boy was Gryffindor and not Ravenclaw. Logic was obviously not a Gryffindor's best trait
Jacob hovered over the water on his soaking broom. Which needed drying before the wood took in too much moisture and the poor broom went bad...
Macy rolled her eyes as the boy very irritatedly answered her remark and zoomed back to shore. "Jerk," she muttered. Obviously somebody didn't understand what was a joking sarcastic comment was. *HUFF* Whatever. His loss.
Putting the upperclassman's bad attitude behind her, the fourth year took off under the water again, gazing in awe at the gorgeous fish and plants. Woah. This place was absolutely fantastic. Really, hats off to whoever's idea it had been to let them all down there. And for organizing the entire thing overall really. She was still having a hard time soaking in the sheer beauty of it all.
In the midst of marveling at the lagoon's awesomeness, Macy was tugged back up to the surface by her need of air. Gasping, she inhaled a few breaths before diving back under to explore the water.
"Yes...pretty much though he's been tame lately," Simon confirmed glancing over at his fellow captain again as they spoke of him. He then nodded as she asked about him and his position looking back at her. "Yep, that's me."
"Sweet." Cove said smiling. She started to take her top off, but decided agianst it because to her, she was still a bit cold. "I don't even know how to play Quidditch. I play almost every sport out there, minus football I don't like playing football. But I sitll don't know anything about Quidditch." She was raised by muggles and only knew American sports. Can you blame her?
Ryden simply nodded as he thanked her. Of course. She wasn't COMPLETELY heartless, you know. And she had enough sense to know when she had been aided and helped, and Orlando had definitely been a partner. In fact, Ryden doubted if she'd have made it across with any OTHER Gryffindor. Petty, annoying, horrid things that they were.
No other places like this? Oh well. At least one existed. Ryden could see herself coming here to study, relax and just think. It was almost like that place back home... As her mind traveled off, the brunette almost didn't notice that Orlando spoke up again. ALMOST.
ERM. Ryden blinked. QUICK, THINK OF SOMETHING TO SAY. THINK OF SOMETHING TO SAAAYYY. Well there was the OBVIOUS thing to say, the truth, but no. There was the lie, but that was too harsh and she didn't WANT to lie to him.
... "Me too," she replied in a small voice, then looked down at the sand and very sneakily retook his hand. Once again, Ryden would like to remind everyone that because she was not USED to the sun - with Hogwarts being icky and grey - that now that she was in it, she had gotten SUNBURNED. Ryden Di Marco does not blush.
What INTERESTING sand there was here... *cough*
Orlando smiled or maybe grinned, when Ryden's hand sneaked it's way to his. The boy gripped it back without any hesitation. He decided not to make her uncomfortable by mentioning how nice it felt to be still holding her hand.
She already seemed hesitant and maybe not all that into sharing and caring!
Orlando didn't mind. He was too happy to mind anything. When the Head Girl started talking, Orlando's grin got more determined to stay. He looked over toward the water .. the robes, the slide - it was all so perfect.
"Looks like, Hogwarts realized your discomfort, Ryden. They are trying to please you" he teased, looking over at her. It was true. She hated the cold - she missed the warmth. What better way to make her feel at home than all this?
Oh. They get to change too? Brilliant. "Why don't we chnage and meet back here in ten minutes?" he proposed, he could not wait to get started and explore everything
.. with Ryden.
COOL. coolcoolcool.

Cassie had finally bad her way down to the lagoon. It was gorgeous and she just now realised that maybe the hunt wouldn't have been that bad. It was definitely worth it in the end for sure.
She pulled off her towel, folded then proceeded to sit on it by the edge and let her feet dangle in the water. Today was her birthday but she just couldn't bring herself to be excited about it much. She received her parents's gifts just lastnight and had tossed them in the corner of her trunk. What was she suppose to do with money and jewellery at Hogwarts? She couldn't enjoy that here, heck she hardly enjoyed it at home if she didn't have her friends around.
Cass skimmed the top of the water with her hands and watched the ripples distort the image of her feet under water. Yep today was going to suck royally, especially with Chan and Kaia not around to hang out in the CR in the last few minutes of 'her' day.

Not to forget that it was great to have his sight back for he could see her awesomeness shining brighter than the warming sun above.
''I missed you!'' he said between breaths once he was close enough for her to hear without the need of yelling the words out. And before she could reply ot do anything else, the Gryffindor jumped on her wrapping her tightly in his arms.
The little panic that rose up inside at came up rather suddenly, but she had a good reason for it! She didn't want to find herself covered in sand on the ground now matter how much Josh thought it was funny and...
EEP!
It took a moment to realize, but...but she wasn't down. No sand! Just Josh's arms. Now this was a greeting! "Missed you too." she laughed, wrapping her arms around him. It didn't matter that they saw eachother just a few hours before. That was a few hours too long!

Walking the short distant to where they stood, she coughed lightly. "Well, look at the two of you..." It really was awesome watching the two interact. One could be blind and still spot from a mile away how crazy they were for each other. "Nice seeing you both again."
And looking over his shoulder, their short greeting just got even shorter. Marilyn was allowed to do that though. Teehee.
Still holding Josh close, she smiled before moving away juuuuuust the slightest. "Nice to see you too." Yet it didn't go unnoticed by the Slytherin girl what the blond was wearing, which made her remember what her boyfriend was holding. Swimming shorts, weren't they? Whaaaa? "What's with the swimwear?"

Iris rolled her eyes at the girl. She was so NOT being a spoilsport. Her not being in the water wasn't ruining anyone elses fun. "I'm not coming in the water!" She called back, yelling with surprise as Aurora flicked water at her. Kicking her foot in the water, Iris sent a small wave of water back at the girl. Not that it would have made much of a difference, Aurora was already soaking wet.

Heh. "Of course," How could she forget about the girl's boyfriend? It did sadden her a bit, the small reminder that Sabel wasn't here to enjoy this with her as well, but she didn't dwell on it. The huffie prefect still had her best friends and... well everyone else to swim and have fun with.
*different timelines and such...*
Iris laughed at Ayra's reply. "Fair enough, I guess. Have fun on the swing, eitherway." Iris knew she definitely wasn't going to be going on it... She didn't fancy diving into the water from that height.
She smiled and shrugged at the girl, before wandering off to wait for Aaron to get here...

Iris looked at Salander, with a small smile on her face. She was slightly surprised by the thanks, because she really wasn't expecting to hear that from anyone. "You're welcome... It seemed like the right thing to do, really..." He was right about it being a paradise, though. It truly was wonderful.
The Head Girl left Salander as he wandered over to the swimwear trunk, and walked back over to the lagoon water's edge.
